Buck kicks him again. “Abby!” he exclaims, whirling around to Eddie. “I told him all about Abby. Can you believe Ravi’s never heard that story?” “Right,” Eddie says slowly, a slight crease between his eyebrows when he looks between them again. “I’m, uh, gonna get us our drinks. Beers all around?” “Sure,” Buck says with a too-bright smile. He waits the ten seconds it takes for Eddie to get out of earshot of their booth and then twists back around to face Ravi. “Why’d you keep kicking me?” Ravi complains, having the audacity to look put out. “Maybe don’t tell Eddie I was a sad, pathetic loser who missed him so bad I had to drown my sorrows at a bar by telling you every possible piece of information I’ve stored in my brain for the last seven years?” he says – a little hysterically, he can admit. Ravi winces and, at least, has the decency to look abashed. “I mean, I think he…probably already knows?”

🧃 share some personal lore you never posted about before. I used to be a certified yoga instructor and taught classes for a couple of years, especially with seniors doing chair yoga. They paid $2 a class in cash. And I remember going out with my friends one night for dinner and when one of them asked if anyone had cash for change and I was like "oh yeah one second" and proceeded to take out 50+ one dollar bills. And my friends all gave me LOOKS and I said it was from my senior chair yoga class and my one friend without missing a beat said, "that's what we're calling a strip club now, huh??" It was over ten years ago and they still bring it up jskdfjsklda

📚 what's the last thing you wrote down in your notes app? Notes for my fic Noises Off (details from Undertale, to be more specific without spoiling stuff). I have so many pages of random details jotted down. I typically write fics in their entirety before posting, but holy shit this ship has me in a chokehold and we are STARVED of fics for them on AO3, so I'm trying my best to cook up some food for everyone, including myself lol. But yeah, I just need to be extremely extra rigid with my notes and outline so I stay on track and have it, you know, makes sense. The fic is already snowballing out of control and I've upped the chapter count from 7 to 9… and honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if it bumps up again lolsob.

Coffee shop or florist? >> It's close, but definitely florist. I love any story flower shop-related—which is weird considering how little I know about flowers, but there it is. 🌷

AU or Fix-it? >> AU, especially if it makes one major change and we watch the whole story butterfly-effect its way into an entirely new narrative.

Enemies to lovers or Childhood friends? >> Tough one, but childhood friends. Mostly for the same reasons as enemies to lovers, though: it's fun to read an established relationship evolve and shift.

Angst or Fluff? >> Fluff, please! My life is stressful enough, I'm trying to relax and feel something positive for once! T_T

Love at first sight or Pining? >> Love at first sight, except neither person knows how to express themself so it becomes mutual pining between two idiots. XD

Modern AU or Historical AU? >> Modern. I like reading characters interact in more relatable circumstances than the Canonical Narrative allows, so contemporary settings help with that.

Break up & make up or Proposal & wedding? >> Honestly I'm not big into either of those. (Except for Ruby and Sapphire's proposal/wedding in Steven Universe, but that's an exception.)

Get together or Established relationship? >> Really tough one, but established. I love them both, but enjoying a relationship that's already going strong doesn't get enough love imo.

Soulmates or Unrequited? >> Soulmates, but not the predestined kind where the stars align for them; the kind where fate does everything it can to keep them apart but they are not having it.

Fake dating or Secret dating? >> Secret dating! Fake dating is usually played for gags because haha awkward, but dating in secret tends to feel really special. They really wanted to be around each other and didn't care how.

Obvious pining or Domestic fluff? >> Domestic fluff! Seriously, just bring on the cute and cozy.

Hurt/comfort or Crack? >> Hurt/comfort, vulnerable bonding makes me feel all the things.

Meet the parents or Meet cute? >> Depends on the parents. XD

@thirdwheelravi tagged me in wip wednesday the other day but i'd just posted my fic so here's something i started writing tonight bc i need to write something silly after the post-s8 fic askdjfh

Eddie is in the bunk room but Buck is in the lounge with Hen, Chim and Ravi, regaling them with a story from his trip to the beach with Eddie and Chris during their 48 off. “And then, Eddie – cool as anything – just picks up this giant, fucking crab and carries it back into the water like it hadn’t almost snapped his ear off five minutes earlier.” Hen and Chim laugh, sounding vaguely impressed but also like they’re only half listening. Ravi, however, apparently feels the need to vocalise his thoughts. “That’s so cool,” he says with a laugh. Buck feels himself buffer, doing something of a mental double-take. “What?” Ravi blinks at him. “I said that’s cool.” “My story about Eddie?” Buck asks because he distinctly remembers Ravi zoning out every time Buck so much as mentioned Eddie’s name while he was in El Paso. “Yeah?” Ravi says confusedly. “It’s funny. But also, like, of course Eddie would do that, y’know?” Buck knows. Why does Ravi know?
