So since I can’t reply to your last response anymore I’ll say it here: “we haven't seen her showing any emotion besides anger […]” those are your exact words not mine. You asked for examples and I gave you ones where she’s not just showing anger meaning she is capable of other emotions (duh!) and you even replied saying she’s showing care in those scenes but apparently not what you were talking about….so you’re contradicting yourself. Again, I would reflect on what I said in my initial reply.

Why is it so wrong to imagine Mel bridging a gap between her and Zaun through working with Sevika based on shared interest? She could stand to learn something and expand her worldview and wouldn’t that be lovely? She’s already friends with Lest and is by far the most reasonable person on the council who is open to hearing people out (a trait Sevika also shares) so it’s not as farfetched as people like to claim. I'm kinda sick of you guys acting like there’s something morally wrong with shipping them. Yes Sevika doesn’t fuck with pilties but when has it ever been shown that she, as you so confidently put, despises council members specifically when we literally see her work with Shoola just fucking fine????

You don’t have to like them but please stop acting like the ship’s existence is a fucking crime. This is the same as when people tried saying that if Mel and Ekko met he would hate her when we don’t know that bruh. He had very little smoke for Jayce who literally PUT A BOMB IN HIS CITY, SUBSEQUENTLY KILLING HIS TREE and yet he managed to still be civil. He was friends with Heimerdinger ffs, why do y'all think all Zaunites are brutes who can't control themselves or negotiate? And this usually only comes up when it comes to Mel and her potential dynamics with other characters. Why do y'all think everyone would hate her? Did we not see Lest help her despite whatever strained history they have? She’s flawed but she’s still a person christ. Is Jayce the only one allowed to love her? Is she only allowed to be loved by him and no one else? Looking at s1, if you told me Sevika and Jinx would be getting along I wouldn't believe you but guess what? They do and it made sense because circumstances allowed for it to happen, it's called narrative development.

We all know Sevika would not have positive feelings towards Mel at first but they're not set in stone, why are we acting like they can never change? It would be tricky and complex but Mel isn't even overtly classist like Jayce and Caitlyn who grew up in Piltover and have close, intimate relationships with Zaunites (the show goes about these terribly but that's not the point), but this fanon ship is what you clutch your pearls at? There are plenty of ways to flesh out their dynamic and develop their relationship if you open your mind to the possibilities. Melvika like any other crackship was born out of seeing the potential in two characters' dynamic. There's no reason for it to constantly be called into question. You don't like it fine, just scroll/block/mute/filter like everyone else. You also frame the reasonings in your 3rd paragraph as if they're inherently wrong? Sorry I want to see my favorite characters kiss??? And they just so happen to be a feminine black woman and a gnc/masc brown woman? Melvika shippers also tend to like Catcouncil, Melora and Skymel and they’re all fem4fem so I don’t really see what point you were trying to make here.

Why don't we talk about how Melvika is extremely overrated for a ship that makes no sense and ruins the characters

I mean, I usually love crackships, they're often interesting and can reveal the characters from new sides and make an unusual dynamic

Even in Arcane there are some good or not bad crackships that I treat fine, but Melvika? Seems like the only reason why it exists is bc the fandom likes headcanoning them wlw and bc it's a "masculine"/"feminine" dynamic which for some reason is often a must have in any wlw ship

But the problem is that Sevika absolutely despises pilties, esp from the council and would never tolerate Mel, it just goes against all her views and arc. While also the fans love turning Sevika into some dog/slave/servant for Mel that stays on her side and goes against Zaun. Should I even explain how classisit and disgusting it is? And how much it mischaracterises and downplays Sevika who would never be like this for a piltie? Even while working for Silco she afforded herself being openly rude to him and was completely honest that she would betray him if there's someone better for Zaun, cuz she did it for her own views, not for Silco. Also in most of the content Mel is some manipulative madame who uses Sevika as either some lady-in-waiting or a personal knight, which makes no sense for Sevika either.

.It's even worse with Sembessa cuz besides all that Ambessa also caused so much problems to the undercity and used its discrimination against it btw, but at least it's not as popular

While Mel, who grew up with a cold mother who appreciated violence and was against peaceful ways of resolving the conflicts, would have no reasons to fond for someone who's for radical methods of fight who would never cooperate or compromise with those from the opposite side. Considering with what Mel loved in Jayce: his softness, aspiration of the innovations, faith in the best for everyone and some naiveness about it. Their frankness, sort of valnurability, tenderness, emotionality and sensuality were a huge part of the relationship that made Mel feel loved and cared about. Obviously, we didn't see how Sevika act in relationship, but she didn't show any of it, even when she had a lot of emotions inside, we haven't seen her showing any emotion besides anger so there are no reasons to think she would be open enough for Mel, since she never was with anyone else it's out of character for her, which is why I don't think their relationship could work out or even start in the first place

I'm free for other opinions tho and would glad to hear what other people think about them

I don't get Melvika, Lestvika, ambessa x sevika (I don't know how yall named this ship) hype, like I think people just ship this because Sevika didn't get any good character to ship her with. No, Silco x Sevika isn't any better... Sorry guys, I needed to say that 😭🙏.

Ive been stuck in the studio 24/7 tryna get my collection done —and I was gunna wait until Melvika week to post these but…this tag needs to be cleaned yall…folks got their shoes on in the house again…all the good air being let out…

sigh. here i am thinking of sevika helping mel get ready in the morning, especially when it’s a super long day ahead of them.

sevika lotions her legs first, starting from massaging the bridges of her feet up to her ankles and along her calves. she gets to her thighs and she’s slowly, a harder pressure around the skin as the lotion absorbs into mel’s pretty skin.

the whole time, sevika is laying softer kisses in her wake.

i can see her being kneeled down to get mel into her undergarments, she loves to zip up the back or side of her dress and let her fingertips linger there just slightly — enough to hear mel’s soft intake of breath

she mcphee putting on mel’s jewelry for her — kissing her neck after she’s laid the last third golden necklace delicately around her collarbones, brushing her locs from her shoulder

“beautiful.” sevika is always murmuring it under her breath as she gets her ready. she finds the scents she wants mel to wear that day, lightly dabbing them onto her scent points.

and i just know that sevika has to take a few pictures of mel once she’s done and dressed, hair sitting in a beautiful bun atop her head with a few stray locs to frame her face.
