With a thump in the window Giratina knocks, a greeting of some sort to maybe ask to be let inside for the shenanigans, dressed (can a legendary dragon be dressed?) ready for the spooky festivity despite being part ghost-type themself. Will you let the lord of the Distortion World and its peculiar cosplay of a vaguely familiar monster from another franchise into the mansion?

October Magma Event "Haunted Mansion" results!

Also you probably didn't expect that FANTASTIC result of our last session! And definitely you didn't expect our secret plan of placing all the canvases into one big mansion, nyeheh~~

The results are amazing, everyone did such a fantastic job!! Let's appreciate the details of each room, shall we?

For the haunted mansion, surely it's a very living place, isn't it? 👻✨

Also we hosted the Frame Minichallenge, where you could paint your own painting in the frames! As the small twist, we added them later to the mansion, because what's the mansion without spooky paintings on the wall? ✨

He is here!! The other brother! finally! I really just had to copy paste Emmet, turn the mouth from a smile to a frown and paint-bucket a bunch of dark blue onto the texture images.

The walk is individual, inspired by the way real life robots walk a little awkwardly and stiffly.

I also removed the physics out of the coat, but didn't give it bones yet. not sure how i'll give them the exact same bones there in the end. we'll see.

Till now they've been insane help with drawing the train bots in 2D. posing takes a little but that's nothing compared to the ours I've been sinking into geometry sketches

I just finished watching all of the videos featuring Alice's and Orpheus' lore... and it just confirms for me that this fanbase doesn't know the lore of this game LMAO.

Thank god someone made this reddit post so I'd have an easier time keeping track of key details...

I'm going to make a bigger post at a later date, but I just wanted to point out something important:

The Prologue and the first act of Time of Reunion is set-up for the reveal of Orpheus being "Nightmare" - the person who is creating and carrying out the games. It is also setting up the reveal of Orpheus being the child of the forest ranger who is responsible for the death of Alice's parents. The blond man and woman in this painting are Alice's parents, not Orpheus'.

There's also this letter mentioning Orpheus' sick mother. Orpheus' father planned to rob from the DeRoss family fortune so he could pay for her healthcare.

Here's the same painting taken from AoM - its also in the same room as the TOR painting. It's interesting how Orpheus remembers the maid and his father as forest rangers when in reality his father was the forest ranger.

Orpheus' knows the Nightingale Song that opens all the doors in the manor and the outside gate, which implies he was an unwitting participant in his fathers scheme to murder the DeRoss family and steal their fortune.

The nightingale song in AOM is the same one used in The Novelist backstory video by the way. Timestamp is 0:39

"He's an ass," Emmet said, and Ingo's spine snapped ramrod straight, something familiar about his mildly mortified expression tickling the back of Emmet's brain like a feather tipped with acid.

"Language!" the Warden tutted. "There is no need to say such things!"

"It is true," he said before he could be scolded further. "You have not told him?"

"Of course not!" Ingo said, looking almost affronted. "I have no reason to be so rude."

"Your honest disposition is not enough?"

"Emmet --"

"I will tell him for you," Emmet said, glee pulling his smile wider at Ingo's expression.

"Do not."

"Hm. No."

"Emmet, please do not," the man hissed, gripping his shoulder -- a lapse in his habit of keeping distance between the two of them like any other member of the Pearl Clan would.

It was startling, but unexpectedly delightful, to suddenly have warmth seeping through to his skin, a warm weight against him, human touch making part of him relax at the familiar comfort.

"But it is true," he insisted, hiding his twitch with words.

"Not every truth needs to be spoken," Ingo retorted, eyes half-lidded with exasperation.

"Lies of omission."

"That does not apply here."

"I beg to differ."

"Emmet."

The Highlands were not quiet. There was always something making noise -- always the screeches of Zubat in the night, the buzzing of Yanma wings in the day, the harsh sounds of Geodude and Graveler tumbling and rolling down ravines.

And, even in the absence of Pokemon, in the farthest corners of the region, on the cusps of high cliffs that only a Sneasler or a flier could ever hope to reach, there was always the whistling melody of the wind.

Farther down, partway up the mountain slopes, the wind was a soft lullaby, rustling leaves in trees and blades of dry grass that crunched under the feet of the two approaching the Ancient Quarry.

Melli was waiting for them, and tossed a lock of hair as they stopped, the Stunky at his feet chittering in aggravation at the Chatot perched atop Emmet's head.

Anything Melli was going to say was cut off entirely by Emmet.

"You are an ass."

And anything said to that -- and the wind, and the buzzing Yanma wings, and the rustling leaves -- was utterly drowned out by Ingo's mortified shriek of "EMMET!" that left Melli's ears ringing and Emmet grinning unrepentantly.

I do like Melli, honestly, but also I think that Emmet has no filter whatsoever. Ingo has to worry about Clan relations and all that, but Emmet? Emmet simply does not care.

Emmet has no filter because Ingo stole it before they were born. And that's why Ingo is the polite one.

Boy do I love writing scenic, pretty descriptions of places and then immediately shattering the mood with shenanigans.
