15 Day Bl Challenge - Day 10: Most emotionally pleasing love scene

For me the best emotional love scenes are the ones that come from love. So I'll just put down a few of my favorite scenes.

A must on this list is Mhok and Day

They had just ran away to spend whatever precious time Day had left before going blind. He wanted to experience all the things while he still could, including his first time with Mhok, it doesn't get more emotional than this.

Babe and Charlie, those two were in love before they even knew it. I picked the scene from E9. It happens before a race and Babe wants to help Charlie calm down before the race. I loved how it started off gentle and turns into.. well this

Then there's my boys from My Secret Love

Park and Lee just agreed to marry each other after 7 years of being together, pretty sure there were tears.

For Mek and Kim it was their first time, after confessing their feelings for each other. I loved all the softness in this scene.

Last but not least, Achi and Ji from To be Continued

Considering they waited years to be together, they'd been in love since high school, all that waiting was worth it.

BL Title: My Secret Love

My honest opinion:

This is one of the best series I have watched so far. Not only does it have electrifying chemistry between the couples, but also the bonds between the characters seem rather genuine and beautiful. For example, the bond that Mek, Bear and Park share makes you feel as if they have genuinely known each other since the start of their university. Also, the friendship between Kimhan and his friends is really sweet. The plot is rather easy to grasp and is really enjoyable despite having a fair share of cringey and cliche moments.

The MekKim couple sure had their ups and downs but all's well that ends well right? Even though I didn't like Mek in the beginning, I eventually started growing fond of him once I realised that he was simply a fun loving teenager who didn't have bad intentions but rather just wanted to have some childish fun. To be honest, his character reminds me a lot of Xiang Hao Ting from "History 3: Make Our Days Count". As for Kim, I love how he simply accepts the situations that are beyond his control and is always up for challenges and doesn't back down easily if ever.

Next couple is Bear and Bomb. True to his name, Bear is indeed like a giant cuddly bear who has nothing but only good intentions. He is protective of his friends, caring and really compassionate. I love how he always prioritised Bomb and even when he was too busy to celebrate their anniversary, he simply apologized and tried his best to make Bomb happy once again. That's exactly how a relationship works. It's not about holding your ground, it's all about finding a common ground. As for Bomb, let's all agree that he is a cuddly teddy with clothes on and a total Daddy without them. LoL 🤣, I am cringing at my choice of words. Anyways, his character sure is rather calm and charming. And I guess that is exactly what balances out Bear's super energetic and enthusiastic aura.

The ParkLee couple is one of the only few couples in a BL series, that stuck around each other from beginning to end. There are just some couples whom you look at and simply feel like they belong together. ParkLee are clearly that couple. Them being together just makes sense. Yeah, I really don't know how else to describe it. But they are my favourite couple.

Last but not the least, we have TimMai. Unlike Third from "Theory of love" who let's his crush have his way, Mai is a rather strong personality who doesn't take shit from no one, not even his crush. He is strong, protective, attentive and really supportive. As for Tim, I feel like the writers are trying to make us realise the difference between reel and real life. In his reel life, Tim is a Mr Perfect and many aspire to be like him. While in reality, he is an idiot who doesn't understand his own feelings and only realised his mistake when it's almost too late. But in the end, he did redeem himself and ended up becoming the best version of himself.

All in all, I loved the series and I highly recommend watching it.

BLs I Watched Week 2

These might contain spoilers. The shows I watch are in the tags. Look at them before continuing to read. If you have watched these, let’s talk about them in comments!!!

Papa and Daddy (Finished Season 1 and on Season 2)

- I very much loved this show

- It has been on my watchlist for a while, but I decided to watch it bc season 2 came out recently

- I loved how everything was so fluffy

- Yes, I cried

- I thought I wasn’t gonna like the actor change in Season 2, but I like new Jerry 

- I love their family dynamic, but everyone needs to stop lying

My Secret Love (On Ep 5)

- I think this was filler BL for me

- Right now it is moving a little too slow for me, but nonetheless I love a slow burn

- Why did they add Tim in the mix bc when I saw fake dating I was sold, but now they add Tim like go away back to Mai

- I will try to finish this week

- I love the OST. Jeff Satur did an amazing job.

The Eclipse (On Ep 3)

- I think this is gonna be pretty good. 

- I love Khaotung and I am excited to see more of First after watching him in Not Me

- I am very interested in the plot line and also curious as to how they end up together

War of Y (On Ep 3)

- I think this BL is something that BL fans need to watch

- I don’t think every BL ship acts this way, but as fans we need to understand our place and that at the end of the day these actors are real people who have a job to do. I can go more into depth about this

- I am so glad to see Billy and Seng again and their acting is really showcased in this show

- So far I do not like Seng’s character bc he is very ingenuine, but I am excited to see more

I'm still thinking about the way Kim turned the water on in the bathroom to cover up his crying after he broke up with Mek because he knew he had to hide his pain from everyone, because anyone knowing how much he'd just sacrificed would be his downfall because there are too many people who cared about him and cared about Mek and wanted them both to be happy.

I wonder how Kim will explain to his friends, how they'll respond to him claiming he never liked Mek. And how will they handle their boyfriends' pain at Mek's pain, how will they look at Kim again and not see this moment?

I know Kim intended to send Mek off to a better future but what else has he sacrificed in this moment, what else has he lost in trying to help the man he loves live the dream he's had for so long?

I know we have a timeskip and two more episodes but that also means we're unlikely to see the direct aftermath in the friend groups and that's very sad to me because that alone could easily have filled two episodes.
