The source adds that MGK (aka Machine Gun Kelly) “wants nothing more” than to be a family and “raise this child together.”

So they contradict themselves within a few sentences but this is the first “source” to straight up say that he didn’t cheat.

The contradictions, the inside sources, and the flip-flop between narratives all leads me to believe that none of these articles know what they're talking about.

Perfectly mediocre thoughts

In 2022, I am forcing myself to not excel. I am forcing myself to fail, to bask in the mediocrity I have dreaded all my life. We are 2 years deep in the pandemic. I am almost 30 years deep in a life with Madness and neurodivergence. And finally, I am done being the poster child for brilliance and careful considerations. It is as excruciating to not present as perfect as it is to continually strive for perfection, but I am trying. In this spirit, here is a particularly mediocre laundry list of thoughts that are currently running through my mind. None of these are well-knead, complete, or particularly coherent, and I am ok with it -- even though I will squirm a little (or a lot) in my bed later tonight, eager to delete this post.

Only twenty minutes till I have to call my cousin. Twenty minutes till I have will have to explain to him -- practically a stranger -- why I am not interested in talking to my parents anymore. Should I use 'affective distance', the term my roommate used yesterday when I mentioned not talking to them? Should I tell him how we need to abolish the concept of families altogether, it is clearly not working anymore. Should I tell him that I need to centre myself before re-entering the ring of abuse and emotional manipulation? Should I nudge and implore him to think about his own family and about how he is perpetuating the traumas that his parents have bestowed on him -- or would that be too much for a biannual conversation?

I want to not do well at school/work, I don't want to talk to my parents, my style is drastically changing, I am crushing on both Megan Fox and MGK -- is this delayed/second puberty? I won't be surprised -- what with the recent realizations about my gender identity and changing gender expression, and with all the incessant acne!

I wonder how weather -- and living in geographies with different weathers/season patterns -- changes our perceptions of time. People here live Summer and Fall with such urgency, knowing full well that the impending harshness of winter will force them to halt. A hike every weekend, cycling those miles in bulk, picnics for days in summers, calling sandy lakefronts 'beaches' and sunbathing till we make up for all the money spent on Vitamin D supplements in the winters.  And then the urgency of fall colours -- driving to Algonquin Park on that one perfect weekend in late September, one week too early and all you will see is yellows, one too late, you will find yourself hiking for miles only to find the hillocks drenched in mist, and reds all trampled beneath your feet. All of this, perhaps, to make up for days like today -- when the city wakes up to a landscape weaved entirely of snow. All the noises drowned in the sea of white, all the colours too. It is impossible today, as is most winter, to imagine the sky being any colour but gray. Was the tree outside my window really once orange? Did I really walk over 100 kms every month? Did I really read and sleep in parks till sunset at 9:30 PM? Gosh!

Why don't I follow recipes while cooking? In life, in history, in relationships, I mourn certainty so often. I find such solace in measurements -- in scores, step counts, grades, photographs -- and yet, I have never once properly followed a recipe. Is this one of those things that I do when I am too afraid to know if my work really sucks or not? Is this a 'how will they know I suck at design if I never pursue it' kinda thing? Can I suck at cooking from a recipe? Who's to say?

There is too much to think, too much to feel, too much to do -- so naturally, I want to watch TV. Incessantly. Why is it so excruciating to not have constant distractions -- why can't I get up to pee without choosing a podcast first, or cook without a TV show, or sleep without an audiobook? What am I so scared of? This is rhetorical, I know what I am scared of. What I am scared of is dark and viscous, its haunting, its debilitating -- but that's not why I am scared of it. I am scared because it is so punished and policed. I am scared because I am Mad and brown -- always a 'concerned' phone call away from armed police checking on my 'wellness'. I am scared because I live in a carceral state -- all of us do. So, till we abolish carceral psychiatry, I am going to watch incessant TV and keep these truths hidden, often even from myself. PS: This is the home for my writing till I actually get over my desire to present as perfect, and start the newsletter I have been meaning to start.
