Okay, so I just finished Juspion, and overall it was pretty good. Not perfect mind you, for a lot of the show the story kinda felt like it was either going in circles or nowhere at all, but the characters where enjoyable, the action was fun, and any hero show with a Giant Mecha is worth a watch in my book. This was my first ever Metal Heroes show, as well as my first reel foray in stuff from the Shōwa era, and now I’m excited to check out more from both categories!

Juspion gets a 7/10, easy recommendation.

Phordon from Megabeast Investigator Juspion episode 34. A Gun turrent like Megabeast that was integrated into Mad Gallant's hidden fortress. What I like about this episode is the model effects featuring Daileon in spaceship mode taking on multiple gun towers, and most of the action was new footage and not recycled from previous episodes.

Just finished Juspion and I think it was a solid Toku series. 1st everything about Juspion's suit, gear and mech are (chef's kiss). 2nd unlike most Toku of the Era Juspion has a story that continues from episode to episode. It isn't perfect and I think some of the supporting cast deserved a little better.

But over all it worth watching what with its fun hero and outlandish giant monster battles. I'm happy Discotek released this gem on blu-ray. Oh and look at Anri's proto outfit in this pic!

Just finished watching my first Metal Heroes series, Juspion. 

That was a fun wild ride! I didn’t find the story to be all that memorable, it isn’t as good as Sentai or Ultraman. However, Juspion has great suit work with excellent character design. The monster designs start out a little boring, but just get a lot better as the show goes on. 

The OST is also top notch, with a couple of surprises like English versions of the OP and ED being played during battle scenes. 

Overall, I give it a 7.5/10. Watch this if you like kaiju or want something different!
