Fun in the Sun (or the Shade!)
“Here ya go miss!” Babycorn stepped aside to let Cherrypit deliver a bag full of millioncorn to the woman who had hired them to gather them. “We got as many as you told us to get and then we got lots more too!” It had been almost too easy. Especially with Babycorn’s newfound skill of actually being good at botany. “Lotsa corn! We go lots!” Cherrypit cheered. He was always happy to help. The woman nodded, thanking them and giving them the gil she had promised. “If you’d like–you can join me inside for some stew as well.” It had been so long since she and Al had had guests. A part of her missed it. “It might be a while though so I understand if you adventuering types don’t have the patience for-” “YIPPEE FOOD!” Babycorn ran in with Cherrypit right behind her. Both of them hopping up and down in excitement. There was something about them that was so familiar to Meeth. Too familiar.
ffxiv write day 21: shade
aleria and lalatov go vegetable picking for some millioncorns but also its really hot oh no :(
The sun relentlessly shined down on almost all of eastern Thanalan. Today was a particularly strange weather day. The sky was almost covered entirely in clouds, making the possibility of the sun making it through near impossible.
Yet of course, fate always found a way to make Aleria’s life just a little harder.
Aleria moved her hand slightly above her eyes to try and block out the sun. She let out a small growl while considering the ramifications of what destroying the sun would do to the local ecosystem.
Both her and Lalatov were currently hard at work collecting millioncorn as a favor for Meeth.
Meeth hadn’t seen either of them out into the sun without any protection. Meeth had sent them both out into the wild with two of the biggest sun hats she owned. “Make sure to bring them back in one piece and bring yourselves back in one piece too!” Then she laughed loudly at her own joke before sending them off.
But even with the added buff of having a sunhat, Aleria was still getting the sun in her eyes.
Aleria noticed that Lalatov was having just as much trouble as her. Either the millioncorns were stronger than they looked or Lalatov had little to no strength in those skinny arms of his. Something told Aleria it was probably the latter. No matter how hard he seemed to pull, the millioncorns wouldn’t budge. “Do you need some help?” Aleria cried out.
“Huah?” Lalatov turned his head over to look over to her, “No! No! I’m fine! Totally fine!”
Aleria was less than convinced. “Are you sure?” While her basket was already filled to the brim with millioncorns, Lalatov was struggling to even get halfway. Aleria grabbed a millioncorn from her basket and looked at it. Was it worth it to work this hard just for this little thing? “What are these even for anyway?”
Lalatov took a step back from trying to harvest a millioncorn to catch his breath. “They’re for Meeth’s stew!” She had told them that they could get as many helpings as they wanted in exchange for helping her gather ingredients.
A stew in such hot weather wasn’t exactly the kind of thing Aleria was dying to try. Not only that but she preferred eating at home, alone. “Sorry but I think I’ll pass on the stew.”
It’s better for her not to get close to people.
“What?!” Lalatov fell on his back in surprise, scrambling to his feet in record time. “I promise it’s like the best thing you’ve ever tasted!”
If Aleria learned anything about Lalatov by now it was that he never gave up easily.
“Really?” Of course there was skepticism on her part. One didn’t just declare something being the best thing you’ve ever tasted without some proof. There was only one way for Aleria to test this. “...Could you survive being buried up to your head in it?!”
Lalatov didn’t miss a beat. “I would eat myself out of the stew in a flash!”
“Damn. That must be some stew.”
Lalatov nodded excitedly, “You don’t know the half of it!” He turned his back to her and looked at the millioncorn with more determination than ever. “And once we finish here we can go and eat with everyone!!” Though he had more determination, his strength sadly had not increased at all between then and now.
Unbeknownst that Lalatov was doing all of that to impress Aleria, she decided to step in. “Here let me help!” Alaria walked up behind him, wrapping her hands around his own. “Alright-! On the count of three we pull together! Okay?”
Lalatov’s face blushed a light pink. “O-O-O-Okayyyy…!”
Aleria was confused. Why did it sound like Lalatov was suddenly shivering? In this hot weather? Oh well, probably nothing to worry about. He was a weird guy. He had to be–if he wanted to befriend her.
Lalatov had almost been too flustered to do anything on three, having just been quick enough to help Aleria once the number left her mouth. It was a shock to him how easy it had turned out to be.
The millioncorn landed in Lalatov’s palm and he hurried to drop it into his basket as if he were holding a hot popoto instead.
“Wow! You’re a natural!” Lalatov grinned, “You made it look so easy!”
“Hey don’t forget you helped too.” Even if it wasn’t by much.
“I-I guess so…!”
Lalatov looked around nervously. Maybe it was time to throw in the towel and admit he just wasn’t cut out for farm work. “Could you…Maybe help get the rest too…?” No doubt Aleria had already seen his poor attempt to harvest millioncorns already. Why would she offer her help otherwise?
Aleria looked surprised, if only for a second. Then she gave Lalatov a sympathetic smile. “Alright! But only if you carry the basket behind me.” She didn’t want him to feel too left out now.
“Of course!”
Lalatov grabbed the basket, happily carrying it while running behind Aleria.
With the millioncorn that Meeth had asked Aleria and Lalatov to harvest all collected, both started on the journey home. It wasn’t a particularly long trip back home but the heat was making it feel like it would never end.
Even with the help of Meeth’s sun hats the sun was relentless.
For Aleria the heat wasn’t much of a problem, it was the sun getting in her eyes that she couldn't stand for much longer. Aleria set down the basket of millioncorn to adjust her sun hat for the umpteenth time. “Sorry Lalatov.” She sighed and picked the basket back up, “I just don’t like having my eyes hurt so much. You know?”
That and the idea of not being able to see where she was going. It was making her nervous.
Though she would never admit that part.
Lalatov nodded, “We’re almost there! Don’t worry!” He assured her.
Ever the optimist. Aleria liked that about him. A little too nice for his own preservation but that’s what she was here for, wasn’t it?
As they continued to walk suddenly, the sun disappeared from Aleria’s eyes. “Hmm?” Instead now there was what looked like a shadow of something over her, completely blocking the sun from hitting her. “That feels nice…” Aleria hummed. A nice cool shade was just the right thing she needed on such a hot day like this.
It was so nice that, for a moment, she never considered where the shade itself might be coming from.
Aleria let out a sharp gasp and looked up. Afraid of what she would find.
Instead of the worst she could imagine, she was staring right at the wing of a dragon. A wing she had seen not too long ago. “Jeepers…” Aleria’s mouth hung open. That being said, it still was quite a sight to behold for her.
Lalatov leaned in, a smirk on his face. “Is this any better?” He flapped his dragon wing a bit, trying to create a slight breeze.
His wand, the limiter that his parents had given him, was broken now.
With it gone he was free to do whatever he wanted to do with his inheritance. The dragon blood from his mother was never anything he was scared of showing people, unlike what his parents believed. The day he used it to its full potential to save Aleria was one of the best days of his life so far.
Aleria thought otherwise. “Are you crazy?!” She dropped her basket and grabbed Lalatov by the collar of his robe. “If someone sees you with that wing out or anything they’ll…they’ll…” Her hands were shaking, she knew what the consequences of standing out were.
The idea of losing Lalatov–of losing the one person who could come close to understanding her. It would be too much to bear.
Lalatov gently held Aleria’s hands with his own, giving her the chance to let him go. “Hey, it’s okay. I’m not going anywhere!” He took his wing and wrapped it around Aleria. Shielding her from the outside. “Besides I'm already hanging out with you! I don’t think my social standing could get any lower!”
“You’re so…” Aleria wiped some tears from her eyes and laughed, “...You’re so stupid you know that?”
“I’ve been told once or twice.”
Sometimes even thrice.
With the Lalatov’s wing protecting her from the sun, Aleria picked her basket back up and sighed. “Sorry I can’t shade you with my own...”
“Don’t worry about it!” Lalatov gave her a warm smile. The same one that Aleria loved seeing. “Until you can and even if you never do, I’ll stay right by your side.”
#ffxivwrite 2024#Aleria#Lalatov#Meeth mention :)#i think lalatov and aleria are cute :)#just two freaks that found each other#lalatov embraces his differences while aleria for obvious reasons is scared to show her's to others she doesnt trust#and she doesnt trust anyone#lalatov would go out flyying in gridania without anyone stopping him until his parents did#lalatov wanted to look so cool in front of aleria but he already did :)#i like meeth i wish i knew what to do with her#shes just hanging with al in drybone right now but shes also still sad about aleria and lalatov#wondering what hapopened to them :(#she never found out they had kids cause they left before hand#maybe one day she ll find out about babycorn and cherrypit#just realized i drew two days with two characters at a table im a fraud

Live-read: Trying to understand the Aux Tresors novels without actually reading the novels in question.
NOTE: 1/5 OF THE NOVELS HAS BEEN SCANNED AFTER THE WRITING OF THIS POST. SAID SCAN HAS BEEN TRANSLATED INTO ENGLISH+RUSSIAN BY ME, AND THEN LIVEBLOGGED. THIS NOTICE WILL BE UPDATED IF MORE BOOKS ARE TO BE FOUND AND TRANSLATED. YOU CAN FIND THEIR LIVEBLOGS IN THIS SAME TAG ("NOVELS")
This is the last, and the most borderline-experimental and cringe-flop part of the reading break #1, because in this post, I will be discussing the five novels based on the show.
Without actually reading them.
Nobody has seemingly ever scanned or copied them, and I don't have the ability to buy them. If you're French, or a rich person, perhaps you could get your hands on them and tell me how wrong I am, but until then, let's speculate.
You can find the... (sighs deep as fuck) Plot Summaries on Otakia. Everything I will discuss here comes from Otakia. You can find the books somewhere else. Perhaps Amazon, probably some other site too... Because as far as I remember, Ankama's literal official shop only has one of the five.
Roman Kerubim (Dofus) Tome 1 : Le ciel sur la tête
>Read about it here
To regurgitate a bit of info from Otakia: just like the Wakfu novels, which apparently also exist, these five novels are kind of like... a bonus episode in a written form, following the structure of the show.
When grabbing quotes from Otakia I will be putting them into a translator and then screenshotting, so that you can quickly read them, and so that I don't have to copy things.
But I won't be copying the descriptions or summaries of the books, just the bits I'd like to elaborate on. You can read them yourself there.
To reference that one meme: Why didn't he start thinking about his dead parents? Is he stupid?
OKAY, I really didn't expect this post to go anywhere, but it's funny that even in Dofus times, Porkass people were known to eat Twelvians.
You will never fucking guess with what nation Bonta of the Waven era, is involved in a seemingly mutually cannibalistic war with.
Roman Kerubim (Dofus) Tome 2 : Une étoile pour le shérif
>Read about it here
I want to thank whoever runs Otakia for uploading this image specifically. Thank you Monsieur/Madame Otakia.
You may notice that, I will be upscaling all the images I bring here from the Otakia articles. The reason for this is that I am a normal and sane person, and need to look at it in a crispier way.
As you may remember, Kerubim already said that he used to be a sheriff in episode 16, West of Astrub.
The writer of this article will literally be like "the book gives you candy, sucks your dick clean and dry, cleans up your home, and then it gives you a hundred dollars, so I didn't like it."
I wish Kerubim would be a fucking loser and a menace more often.
In the Judgement of The Twelve episode, Kerubim and Bashi had already mentioned meething each other many times as young adults, and having stories about it, so it's nice to see this factoid utilized for more than 2 episodes, if only in a book.
Also, yet again, Kerubim literally doing his job and Bashi being fucking insane and hating him for it, despite doing far worse things.
Roman Kerubim (Dofus) Tome 3 : Panique à Astrub
>Read about it here
Indie is insane for this btw.
Joris canonically eats burgers and YES reading this article a while back is the reason I put burgers into my Joris fanart.
You can see full art on my general artblog @atcham-crepin. Yeah, my blog naming scheme is very creative, I know.
I just think his refined ass eating burgers is funny, even though in canon he is only depicted doing this as a kid.
Roman Kerubim (Dofus) Tome 4 : Le décapiteur de soiffard
>Read about it here
Including the cover art because it is very nice, and to draw your attention to THE best novel none of us will ever get to fucking read.
My dream Joris & Simone story, and I can't even read it. Smh.
List of things I love about this:
Joris stealing stuff.
Joris stealing stuff.
Joris stealing stuff.
Simone being a leader.
Kerubim, as we had seen in the past episodes, literally the type to text something like "I am not long for this world.... tell my family I love them." over a tummy ache. I hate this man so much it's unreal.
Of Course he sent them on a wild goose chase over some random bullshit.
Simone and Joris @ Kerubim at the end of this book:
Roman Kerubim (Dofus) Tome 5 : Tous en piste
>Read about it here
I will be real, I don't think any living being can tame that fucking beast.
These books are just treating us with characters in outfits we hadn't seen them in, in the show. It would be... a better world, if these books were episodes instead.
Also, want to yet again remind you that I am upscaling the shit out of these images. Because I'm normal. But at times the results can be wonky.
The World of Twelve has never seen, and will never see again, a couple more toxic than them. Sad!
Unlike the Simone & Joris book, I yet again don't have much to say, but, I'm sure I would, had the books been available to me.
This brings me to a close with the first reading break. After this post, I will resume liveblogging about the show. But I do have ideas of what the next reading break entail, and I think they're rather fun! Like "trying to read Dofus manga without reading Dofus manga" or "reviewing Dofus Aux Tresors merch without buying Dofus Aux Tresors Merch", or, perhaps, "scrying on a crystal ball to read Tot Ankama's thoughts."
...Yeah. Only the last one is a joke.
#novels#ro liveblogs dofus#dofus#wakfu#krosmoz#tagging because I want a broader circle of fans to know about the existence of the novels#so that maybe a kind pro-p*racy frenchman will someday upload them to l*brary g*nisis. i don't know.

i think i’ll talk about madelon some since they’re definitely the most fleshed out of my self inserts that i actively use (sorry blake i havent been fixated on gx in a while)
i will preface this with a warning for mentions of child death/possible miscarriage implications.
its something thats part of their backstory but if i presented it as intended to be told ingame it would be very vague e.g. “i was supposed to have two siblings, but… their souls are among the cyela lights now. ignes fatui, your father called them.”
during most of their childhood and early adult years they lived with their family in a certain district of rebena te ra, what is now old town - this district was particularly vulnerable to flooding from heavy rainfall, as the architecture was in a constant state of disrepair (blame the hierophant for not sending in anyone to repair it! that’s part of why it’s so overrun by miasma and monsters, an npc mentions this at one point)
when madelon was around 11-12 (think yuri and chelinka’s age after the timeskip) they happened upon a journal written by their mother, which revealed that they were supposed to have two siblings before them, but they died during childbirth. to honor these siblings they never had, madelon made twin dolls and transferred a part of their soul into each of them, dubbing the boy calca and the girl brina (because i love my mythology gags i guess - ring of fates’ plot DOES heavily involve the moon as well)
shortly after rela cyel was established, madelon intented to move there in order to study magic, partially as a means of protecting calca and brina. since they weren’t born a crystal user, on their own they have only mastered blizzara and fira, as well as a shield spell and the simple cure and clear spells - although by pooling their magic with their respective doll (calca for ice and brina for fire) they are able to cast the level three spells, blizzaga and firaga. thunder spells are notably missing from madelon’s skillset due to a childhood fear of thunderstorms they never conquered.
as an aside, due to the ‘sharing’ of the soul, madelon is able to control the dolls as if puppeteering them, but if one of them is significantly damaged, madelon will share the pain, and vice versa. as a result, madelon is very evasive when fighting and uses magic instead of close combat. they can communicate via telepathy (which would bring some nice interactions with chelinka, since she also communicates telepathically with the party members.) so instead of 'using' calca and brina, they exist alongside madelon, almost like parts of them.
as for their role in the game’s story! madelon became acquaintances and then trusted friends of sir latov and lady aleria, as well as meeth and alhanalem (whom they are closest to because of my obvious bias LMAO.) they, too, helped in establishing the villa outside of rebena te ra, and live in a small house on their own, near the cliff so they can see lake cyela. madelon has helped take care of yuri and chelinka since they were born as well, and their previous experience in tailoring doll clothes means that they often provide the family with new outfits — they do get a bit upset when the party commissions armor from the town shops, but their skill doesn’t extend to any sort of protective gear or clothing, so “it can’t be helped”, as they would say. (meeth and al have unique ~sentence enhancers~ to their soeech so. ifigured i’d give madelon one!) madelon also often accompanies alhanalem when he gathers medicinal herbs, because some of the plants that grow in the usual locations can be refined for dyes or similar materials.
i’m actually thinking of changing the scene where cu chaspel appears and kills sir latov because frankly i found him a boring antagonist except for his redeeming trait being that he’s voiced by liam obrien, which was cool as hell. in my hypothetical version of events, the lich masquerades as alhanalem like she typically does, but latov’s death takes on a much more dramatic turn considering that someone wearing the face of one of the family’s closest friends (and al is for all intents and purposes just as much of a part of the family as latov and aleria are) ends up being the one to kill him. i don’t know whether i’ll commit to this change or not (i’m planning another playthrough on the day of the game’s anniversary, and i did have an idea for a yuri and chelinka roleswap au) but regardless of the version of events, madelon is taken by blackguards from the temple who wanted to eliminate anyone associated with the events that took place at rela cyel and were there during tilika’s sacrifice, whether or not they personally witnessed it or not. they then end up in the cavern underneath rebena te ra, with the crystals subjecting them to visions of every possible past, present, and future.
this is where i don’t have a totally clear idea of development now. if i go with ny possible rewrite, aleria’s role will be shifted around a little bit, so i had the idea that the hierophant could have used madelon as some sort of proxy to view all possible fates — essentially, all of them would be at his fingertips instead of having to rely on an oracle

How do I write?
In recent years, I have found myself falling in love with romance tropes... And I am still researching and reading various romance tropes to enhance the variety I am about to present to my readers...
As a descriptive writer, I find myself enjoying the scenes that I imagine... I long for the impact that it creates in the fantasies my readers dream about...
As a growing scriptwriter, I want to write a series that provides the reader with the depth of the character and their development...
As an experimental skit writer, I want to manifest the influence that the dialogue has on the reader, reflecting the attributes of the characters portrayed in the skit...
IN ESSENCE;
My aesthetic is a description. I love describing the physical, psychological and emotional attributes of the characters.
I love to enrich my imagination by delivering what I envisioned through the description of the fictional setup of the scenes of the plot.
Through character development, I desire to give life to the characters, so that the readers can associate it with their qualities.
The dialogues reveal the shade of the characters that build the primary connection between the reader and the character.
Romance is my language of creativity in writing, but I will elasticise my boundary and introduce myself to the different genres and present my best work!!!
What I won't write?
I love sad romances and romance tropes where there is no assigned "happy ending" to the main characters... However, some stories are worth reading just to end in tears of joy at the reunion of the leads...! No matter what, there are things that I will not entertain or encourage!
Fan fictions
Smuts
Action, adventure and thriller (I am not that experienced)
LGBTQ (I support them with my whole heart and love them for being brave and themselves) - instead mention "gender neutrals"

Traumas and disorders (+treatments and cure)
Horrors and crime
Based on songs (stories inspired by songs)

Task 1 - 03/03
Imagine you have been selected to photograph a series of work for a client based on your Tumblr blog, Instagram and Behance portfolios. Based on what you currently have on those platforms, describe:
The main content
The overall mood/vibe of your work
My work primarily focuses on Urban/Landscape photos. I am wanting to shoot more and expand my work to include more collaborations with friends and like minded individuals while shooting different types of photography whether it be automotive or portraits/environmental portraits. These two genres of photography are genres that I haven’t had much experience in but have been wanting to try for a while.
I would say the overall mood/vibe of my work and the work I want to keep creating in the future is influenced by minimalism, long exposures and symmetry. Though this is always an expanding area so I haven’t restricted myself to anything.
Then, describe in writing the type of platform that would want to showcase your work – are they a fashion, editorial, gallery, documentary, advertising, social/environmental good not-for-profit organization? Simply put, does your past work reflect the contextual direction you want to take in the future?
- Advertising mainly, wouldn't say I have a solid contextual direction in regards to my work as of yet, but I think it will slowly form as I go.
Then write an introductory professional sentence introducing yourself to the viewership on your blog. Write it as if you are a practising professional photographer, for example:
My name is ____. I am a (what kind? ___ photographer, specializing in ____, producing [high end] content for ____, who want XYZ approach to ____.
My name is Meeth. Since I’ve done a range of types of photography, I would like to call myself a commercial/lifestyle photographer though I still have a long way to go to be officially called that, specialising in urban/landscape photography, producing [high end] content for myself, clients, and potential future clients who want a personalised and/or experimental approach to the vision they have for the kind of photos that are required.
I am also educating myself on video, both the shooting and editing aspect. As this is a space I want to be more familiar with especially with regards to advertising (real estate) and the growth of video based content online.
Be sure to mention the kind of approach that suits you – highly-constructed, photo-manipulation, or lo-fi, analogue, or video/ moving image content alongside photography etc. The aim is to establish credibility and professionalism.

Lovecraft au(meething again)
N/A: I won´t kill Quire here because I will kill the ultimate!Xavier. This is a side part that will meet the main story of Zaorva.
@djinmer4
Charles Xavier used to be a man that wanted order and power, both he used to have in clear view, until, one day she shows up, Jean Grey, the beautiful girl with long and shinning red hair and green eyes. She stole his heart and mind.
At the time, she was dating Scott Summer(how and why? Scott was a nobody and Charles was a billionaire, that orphan didn´t deserve that beauty) and didn´t notice his desire, then, when their relationship starts to crumble, Charles thought it was time to make moves on his student.
Again, the beautiful woman didn´t notice him. She cheats Scott with Logan but didn´t notice Xavier. The man even tried to kill Scott, however, Rogue, accidentally manage to save the man.
Jean died once. Then she returns to be with Logan. His tears are of despair were ignored.
Jean died once again. She didn´t return to Xavier.
Xavier spends his time away in his secret room looking at several photos of Jean Grey. The room became a shrine to his unrequited love, Jean Grey. Mourning of a love that never happened. Abruptly, a loud noise interrupted his musings.
The sound was too loud that formed shock waves that break the widows, the statue of Jean Grey(it was in a small scale) and even making Xavier´s ears bleed.
This is not the usual "kids being kids" something is up. Xavier leaves his wheelchair and walking to the main saloon, meets Kitty Pryde naked, that is not something worth to mention but the fact she is in a crystal blue colour and is attacking all the students as well speaking a language no one understands.
Lilandra did speak something about this. Lilandra was a way for Xavier to forget about his passion for Jean, but, it didn´t work out. Lilandra is not Jean.
But Lilandra didn´t mention something about Kitty, something to be aware of her.
"Kitty, stop this right now" his voice is firm and the creature, as Xavier labels her, ignores him and continues to destroy all it is in her way. It is a bit impressive how she is destroying the mansion easily without breaking a sweat.
"Rogue, do something"Xavier command and the woman was too scared to fight back, crying and saying something. Xavier rolls his eyes. How pathetic.
Then, Xavier uses his psych power and that got the creature´s attention. Kitty with her crystal blue eyes and form look at him with fury, screaming something in her own language.
Professor X is trying to mind control a Godness.
Professor X did lose this battle.
His last thoughts did go to his beloved Jean Grey. I love you Jean. I love you.
Kitty´s tentacles grab the professor X and squeeze to death. Then she revives him and did again and again.
Looking around, Kitty destroys the saloon, no, the correct term is that Kitty created an endless loop in the saloon.
"This is a black hole? Everyone get out here" Rogue instructed to the others" some still under the influence of the spirals jump at the black hole, Kitty look at Xavier who was trying to mind control her one more time.
And then, she eats his soul.
"No one will hurt me, no one will touch me," she said speaking in a human language.
Looking at her creation, her blue form continues. But fear creeps on her form. Someone approaches her and Kitty knows who it is. She didn´t look at him. Not yet, she looks at the blood in her tentacles(her tentacles) as well as the black hole she created and controls.
"Hello, Zaorva" Kurt´s voice is kind and is so familiar and welcome.
"What happened?" Kitty asked crying. She remembers what Chutulu tried to do, she remembers her own death.
"I murder him in the most violent way possible, my love, he won´t hurt you, ever again, no one will," Kurt said in a soothing tone lending his white suit to cover the woman.
"I guess, you weren´t talk crazy" Kitty said trying to joke but the tears still remain.
"Oh, Zaorva, I´m sorry, I never wanted to cause you pain, I thought it would be better if you wake on your own if I forced or remove the seals...I don´t want to see you suffering" Kurt said drying her tears.
"I know, I...want to go" her words are too vague, but, Kurt is her half, her soulmate. Kurt did understand her request after all.
"Very well, we can go, and katzchen," Kurt said "welcome back"
"Thanks, Kurt, Thanks" she holds her own tentacle with his and closes her eyes. She needs time to process what just happened.
#kurtty#lovecraft au#kurt wagner#nightcrawler#kitty pryde#kurt cares deeply for his kitty#he is still a lovecraft#but that old trope only humans know about love#xavier is a creepy

Jack leaned on his head on his hand, smiling a bit at bunnys reaction to him being so forward.
"To answer your question about us.. 'yes' seems like the most plausible answer.. would i like to stick around?" He swallowed slighty, looking around the room.
Jack never got to make himself a hideout, he never really felt like he had anywhere to.. stick around.
"Well... would you.. like for me to stick around?.. i mean! Im sure you've noticed me flirting with you more than once?"
Jack chuckled a bit, thinking back to times where he teasingly pinched the others butt or jumped him from behind. Not to mention stealing glances at meethings, hands gently brushing against one another.
Jack stood up and made his way over "even if we did what we did in a drunken stopper... I dont think i regret it.." he stopped next to bunny, looking down at him. "..what about you?"
💍 (if you're still doing the "Send me 💍 for our muses to wake up married after a night of heavy drinking" thing)
Send me ‘💍’ for our muses to wake up married after a night of heavy drinking
(I mean, I dont see why not?)
Jack groaned as he opened his eyes. His head was pounding and his stomach felt like it was gonna turn at any moment.
Even the dim light of the room seemed to irritate his eyes, and it took a few seconds for them to adjust to it.
It wasnt unusual for the guardian to wake up in unknown rooms, and he quickly figured out the way to the bathroom.
Jack really did enjoy the act of drinking. But he kept questioning if it was all worth the aftermath. Closing the door he proceeded to purge the night that was, flushing it down the drain with any dignity he seemed to have left.
He went to the sink to wash out his mouth and have some water, and as he was washing his hands, he found that despite his nakedness, he was wearing something, something simple and gold.
It took a few ticks for him to put two and two together. And he suddenly exclaimed
"Fuck.. did i marry someone last night!?"

The best dog friendly pubs & restaurants
When holidaying with your pooch in Devon you’re going to need a few trusted places that welcome both you and your beloved dogs.
At Pillows & Paws Cottages we’re potty about dogs so we thought we’d help out with a few of our favourites.
1.Rosie's – Crooklets beach, Bude
Our absolute favourite place in the area is Rosie’s. If you’ve never visited, you’re in for a treat!
Located right on Crooklets beach, Rosie’s is famous for their hospitality and fantastic food and drink. Super informal, Rosie’s serves stone baked pizzas, fish and chips and the best Snickers milkshake you will ever taste. Did I mention it’s our favourite? Super dog friendly, you’ll always find other diners with their dogs in attendance. If you’re visiting the area, Rosie’s has to be on your list. website
2. The Bickford Arms
The Bickford has to be the second on our list as it’s so local to us. With roaring fires, great beers, a stone flagged floor and a fabulous carvery on a Sunday, it’s a firm favourite. They’re dog lovers themselves at the Bickford and welcome everyone visiting with their dog. website
3. White Hart - Holsworthy
Next on the list is the White Hart. Tammy & Jon who run the pub are a fabulous couple who go out of their way to make visitors and their dogs welcome. The White Hart is a traditional local pub with real ales, a large selection of gins and even a free pool table. The pub serves a variety of food from plated meals to a carvery on a Sunday.
4. The Half Moon Inn - Sheepwash
If you want an olde worlde pub in the middle of the Devon countryside then you can’t do much better than the Half Moon. A 16th century pub, at the Half Moon dogs are very welcome along with their thirsty owners. The Half Moon has a fantastic selection of whiskeys and one of the best open fires in the area. Perfect after a day out walking.
5. The Rydon Inn
Just outside Holsworthy on the main road to Bude, the Rydon Inn is easily accessible with a large car park and even larger landscaped gardens. The pub is modern inside and serves traditional pub meals with a twist. A firm favourite with locals, you’ll need to book if you want to eat at the Rydon during the summer season.
6. The Puffing Billy - Great Torrington
On the outskirts of Great Torrington you’ll find the Puffing Billy a café/ restaurant with a difference. Located right on the long distance Tarka trail, the café serves a wide range of homemade meals including vegetarian and vegan options along with real ales and a great selection of drinks. The Sargeant family who run the café pride themselves on their dog friendliness. Originally the Puffy Billy was a Victorian railway station, one of only two remaining terminal stations for the Atlantic Coast Express route. Now the railway has gone, replaced by a fantastic walking and low gradient cycling trail stretching from Braunton to Meeth.
7. The Falcon Hotel - Bude
If you’re looking for something a little more upmarket (and dog friendly) the Falcon Inn is a great shout. Located right next to Bude canal, a stroll from Summerleaze beach and just over the road for the Tourist Information Office. Dogs are only permitted in the bar, but the Falcon has one of the best menus in the area. Book early, the Falcon is often fully booked if you turn up on spec.
8. The Shack - Bude
If you like great quality fast food such as burgers, nachos and chicken wings, the Shack is a brilliant stop off. Opposite the river in the centre of Bude, The Shack is a cheaper option but still dog friendly.
9. The Highwayman Inn – Sourton Down
Now for something really mad, eccentric and any other superlatives you can think of! The Highwayman Inn in Sourton has been rated as one England’s most unusual pubs. The pub boasts gothic arches, a door from a whaling ship and a dragon fashioned from bog wood from Dartmoor. The pace really is bonkers. Massively friendly to both dogs and their owners, you’ll spend an enchanting few hours in the Highwayman Inn
10. Fingle Bridge Inn
A little further afield is the famous Fingle Bridge Inn. Named after the famous Fingle Bridge the pub has a fabulous setting right next to the river Teign. With lots of picnic benches outside the pub is a fabulous place to grab a pub lunch and a drink or a Devon cream tea while walking the well-trodden paths of Castle Drogo.
This is only a brief list of some of our favourites. Stay at Pillows & Paws cottages and we’ll share our secrets of the area with you.

Dal Bhari Paratha or Dal Bhari Puri we call it both at home. When I say puri you might picture the deep-fried fluffs, no the chana dal bhari puri is more like parathas but has its unique taste. Not to confuse with the puris and parathas, I am using Dal Bhari paratha as the term. You cannot resist having more than one (Calorie Alert!), especially when you have these dal bhari parathas with mango or Karele ki meethi sabzi. Try it now and thank me later 😀
To give you a brief, the dal bhari – it’s the most understood word at home which means dal bhari paratha – is a stuffed paratha. The stuffing includes chana dal or split Bengal gram as the main ingredient. It is one of the commonly found lentils in India, and also one of the widely used among dals. It is made with fewer ingredients. The blend of turmeric, onion, ginger, garlic and cumin seeds make the taste of Dal Bhari Parathas heavenly.
Well, I know you might want it right now! Let’s head straightaway to the recipe.
How To Make Dal Bhari Parathas at Home
Servings: 15-16 parathas
Time: Cooking = 60 minutes
Difficulty: Medium

A step by step recipe guide to Making Dal Bhari Paratha
Ingredients
For Dough
500 gm Wheat Flour
Water as required
Two pinches Salt
For Grinding
200 gm or 1.5 cups Chana Dal or Bengal Split gram
1 tsp Haldi or Turmeric powder
1 Small Onion, roughly chopped
8 Garlic cloves
1 inch Ginger piece
½ tsp Zeera or Cumin seeds, roasted
2 Green chillies
2 cups Water
Salt to taste
To fry the stuffing
1 big Onion, sliced and chopped
1 cooking spoon Mustard oil
½ tsp Garam Masala or All-Spice Powder
For Frying the Dal Bhari Parathas
Mustard oil or Refined oil for frying
Directions
Knead atta or wheat flour for parathas; the dough should be soft.
Add salt while kneading the dough.
Once the dough is kneaded, cover it with a damp muslin cloth and keep it aside.
Take a pressure cooker. Add all the mentioned ingredients “For Grinding” to the pressure cooker.
Close the lid and keep the pressure cooker on simmer.
Let the chana dal cook for 20-25 minutes.
Turn off the heat. Open the lid.
Let the cooked dal cool.
Grind the cooked chana dal to a smooth paste.
Take a wok or kadhai, add 1 cooking spoon mustard oil and heat it.
Add the large onion we had chopped separately.
Saute till onions turn pinkish.
Add the chana dal paste and garam masala.
Mix and sauté for 5 minutes on low heat. Let it cool for 10-15 minutes.
The chana dal stuffing is ready for Dal Bhari.
Make equal sizes of dough balls.
Take one dough ball, flatten it till palm size with the rolling pin.
Put the chana dal mixture in the centre and now join the edges of the rolled dough.
With light hands, flatten the stuffed dough ball into a paratha.
On a heated griddle or tawa, place the dal bhari paratha.
Flip over to cook evenly. Apply mustard oil on both the sides of the paratha for frying.
Cook till golden.
Repeat the process (from step 16-21) to make parathas, as required.
Serve it with mango slices of Meethe Karele ki Sabzi or even Karonde ki Sabzi.
Step by Step Recipe for Dal Bhari Parathas
Knead dough for parathas; add two pinches of salt while kneading. The dough should be soft. Once kneaded, cover with a damp muslin cloth and keep it aside.
Take a pressure cooker. Put all the above-mentioned ingredients “For Grinding” in the Ingredients list. Mix the ingredients with a spatula. Close the lid and put the pressure cooker on low heat.
Let the Chana Dal cook for 20-25 minutes. Do not add more water than required; we just need to get the dal cooked to make the paste. If the dal will be watery, you won’t be able to make a proper stuffing. After 20-25 minutes, let the steam from the pressure cooker rest. Open the lid and let the Chana Dal cool down.
Once the dal is cool enough, put it in a grinder jar and grind to make a smooth paste. You can divide the portions into two and grind one by one.
Keep the Chana Dal paste aside.
Now, take a kadhai or a wok and add mustard oil. Heat it.
Add the chopped onions; remember we had chopped a large onion for frying? This is the step for it. Saute the onions till pinkish and soft.
Now add the chana dal paste and garam masala. Mix them well with a spatula. Saute for 5 minutes. Once done, turn off the heat and transfer the mixture to a bowl. Let it cool for 10-15 minutes.
Take the kneaded dough, we had kept aside earlier. Make equal dough balls out of it. Take one dough ball to flatten it with the rolling pin. The flattened disc should be of a small palm size so that you can put the mixture for stuffing.
Add the mixture to the centre of the rolled disk. Join all the edges to make the round ball again. Now flatten it lightly with your hand and start rolling with the rolling pin. Roll big enough to make a paratha.
Take a griddle or a tawa and put it on the stove. Heat. On the heated griddle, place the Dal Bhari paratha. Flip it to cook evenly. Now apply some mustard oil over it. Flip over, apply the oil on the other side as well. Cook till golden.

Repeat the process to make more Dal Bhari parathas. Serve it with mango slices (if mango is still available at your place) or Meethi Karele ki Sabzi or Karondey ki Sabzi. You can even have the Dal Bhari Paratha with a pickle.

Meethe Jave/Vermicelli Kheer, a sweet dessert or pudding made with jave or vermicelli noodles in thickened milk with nuts.
Learn how to make Meethe Jave or Vermicelli Kheer.
Vermicelli Kheer, also known as Vermicelli Pyasaam in South Indian States. it is known as Meethe Jave in North Indian States especially in Uttar Pradesh(U.P).
Vermicelli is known as Jave in North Indian States and it is prepared in sweet and savory form known a s Namkeen Jave. Traditionally Jave were handmade by ladies of the house in monsoon season, when after finishing morning routine work they used to gather together and made it in big batches. Now a days, machine made Jave or Vermicelli are available in markets.
Meethe Jave is a regular in my house and I make it often for kids. As mentioned earlier in my posts that my family has sweet tooth and they love to have meetha (something sweet) in moderation.Hubby loves warm jave while kids love to have it chilled. It is also a good option to make make for your parties and get together on special occasions.
Making Meethe Jave on the auspicious occasion of Rakshabandhan (also known as Rakhi) , is also a tradition in Western U.P especially in Jat community. Mom always cooked Meethe Jave on Rakhi and now I too prepare it for my kids.
Raksha Bandhan.. The festival that celebrates the Bond of Love
Raksha Bandhan is a festival that celebrates the bond of love between brothers and sisters and families. Traditionally, it a custom that sister/s tie Rakhi on wrists of their brother/s and pray for their long life, and receive gifts from them!! In state of Rajasthan even sisters also tie Rakhi to each other, and in some places there is a tradition where sister in laws also tie rakhi to each other.
As kids me and my sister used to tie Rakhi to our cousin brothers, when we moved to another city, we missed celebrating the festivals with them. Though we used to send Rakhis through mail, but we missed the tradition of tying Rakhis. Mom suggested why not tie Rakhi to Dad as he also missed his sisters and so, both of us(me and my sis) started tying Rakhi to our dad and to each other.
Now when everyone is in a different part of world, we still miss the tradition but somewhere the bond still remains. I may not talk to my cousins for months but we all know somewhere we share the same love and bond which started with this simple tradition of tying a thread when we were kids. I and my sis are the pillars of each other and we have stood through the thick and thin of each of each other!! Dad and Mom are our strength and still look up to them whenever need any advice or suggestions.. whatever we are are because of them!!
This post of Meethe Jave is for all the sweet memories (Meethe Bandhan) that I have everyone in my life with whom I have laughed, fought and cried together!!
Meethe Bandhan or Sweet Relations is the theme this week for our facebook group Foodie Monday Blog hop. This Mithi theme (sweet theme) was suggested by Archana who blogs at Mad Scientist Kitchen. Hop on to her blog to see how she plays with ingredients and creates with dishes with ease. Also you will love the humor she puts in her writing along with sharing her recipes.
How is Meethe Jave different from Meethi Seviyan
Jave is different from Seviyan that is prepared during the special occasion of Eid. Seviyan is prepared from long Vermicelli noodles roasted in ghee and with lots of nuts like raisins, dates, dried apricots. Also, it can be flavored with essence like rose or kewra. Jave are prepared with less nuts and it is a much simpler preparation then Seviyan.

FFXIVWrite Day thirteen: Check
Babycorn looked up at the night sky above them. It was harder to see it in the Black Shroud than in other places. The trees were too big! They were blocking her way! “Cold…” Babycorn shivered. It was a cold night and the only blanket they had she used to cover Cherrypit. He was taking one of his rare naps and Babycorn didn’t want to risk waking him up just to feel a little bit warmer. Besides, she’d learned by now that sleeping next to Cherrypit just made her colder. As if the cold wasn’t enough, there was also the feeling they were being watched. “Just leave us alone!” She yelled to someone.
Aleria let out a loud yawn as she laid back on her chair.
They had all just returned from another busy day in Drybone, selling and buying produce all at the same time. Her and Lalatov might not have as much experience in being vendors but they did have a secret weapon at their side.
Said secret weapon was being tucked into her crib right at this moment by her beloved husband.
Aleria turned her head to look at how he was doing. She didn’t really need to. Out of the two of them, Lalatov was the gentlest one by a malm. Chelinka never stirred whenever he was the one putting her down for a nap or picking her up while she slept.
“How’s our little babycorn?” Aleria asked.
Babycorn was Chelinka’s cute little nickname that she had come up with one day, to match her parent’s fake aliases. While Lalatov and Aleria were known as Cocorn and Elelote out in public, they had decided to just altogether avoid mentioning their daughter’s name to people.
Lalatov slowly walked backwards from Chelinka’s crib, making sure that his steps made as little noise as possible. When he was sure that he was far away enough he turned back around. “I’d say that's a successful mission!” He gave Aleria a thumbs-up and a wink.
“Just like always.”
Then tomorrow they would go out to sell some more things and Lalatov would do and say the same thing. Some people might have thought of it as mundane but to Aleria it was a dream come true.
Lalatov picked up a chair and placed it next to Aleria, he sat down next to her and leaned into her shoulder. It was one of the rare advantages of being so short that he had. “So what do we do now?” He asked. “I was thinking maybe we can throw a huge party.”
“And invite everyone we know?”
“Yeah!” Lalatov smiled, “We can invite Meeth and Al!”
“I think that’s everyone we know” Aleria wasn’t that far off.
Aside from Meeth and Al, who had both helped them when they had needed it most, they hadn’t made any other connections.
Lalatov thought to himself for a while. “Then how about we invite my classmates back at the conjurer's guild?” He had told Aleria all about his days back then.
“You mean the ones who were ready to let you die when you accidentally angered the elementals?”
“Yeah! Them!”
Aleria crossed her arms. “Sure you can invite them! So I can fly them up in the air and juggle them until they beg me to let them down.” She could have come up with something worse but she didn’t want to take the chance that Chelinka was listening.
“Aww…It’s so cute when you threaten people.”
“So I’m always cute?”
“Mmmmmmaybe!” Lalatov stuck his tongue out and laughed.
Aleria laughed along with him and both had to remind the other to quiet down for Chelinka’s sake.
They were silent after that, just taking in the fact that they were together and safe.
Aleria looked forward, at the crib where her daughter lay sleeping. There were no words that Aleria could come up with to explain to someone how much she loved her. How much she wanted to make sure that Chelinka would have the best life they could possibly offer her.
She knew that Lalatov felt the same way, he had told her the same before.
According to everyone that had ever seen Chelinka, she was the strangest baby they had ever met. She cried and whined just like almost every baby out there, but there was just something about her that wasn’t right. Whenever she stared at someone, it felt like she knew more about them than she let on.
To new parents, with not much life experience anyway, Aleria and Lalatov however, none of what anyone told them really meant anything.
They were both well aware that their children would be a little different than most, when taking into account both of her parents' special little attributes.
Aleria was hoping that Chelinka would stay that way, for her own sake. A life of constantly being on the run was not the life she wanted for her daughter.
Aleria let out a sigh and Lalatov instantly knew what she was thinking about.
He sat up straight and took her hand in his, “No one will come for her. Or you. I promise.”
“What if they’re still out there? Looking for me?” Aleria’s leg was shaking, “They’ve come before.” It had been a long time ago but there had been a few Garlean soldiers that had come through asking if they had seen someone matching Aleria’s description.
Aleria turned to look at Lalatov, tears in her eyes. “What if they take her?”
What if her daughter was a Starsinger, just like she was. Would she be ripped from her mother’s hands just like she had been? Separated from everything she knew and with almost no memories of the life she had been taken from?
It was much too late for her but she wasn’t about to just let it happen to her daughter too.
“That’s not going to happen.” Lalatov’s voice was firm, he was confident. “Ever.”
Aleria knew that Lalatov was serious when he said that. He had been there for her when the Garleans had shown up looking for her and he had a large part in the reason that none of them were ever going to be able to tell anyone else where she was hiding.
“You’re right.” Aleria felt her worries quickly fade away, looking at her husband’s determined expression. “We’ll protect her. Won’t we?”
“Always.”
Their conversation was cut short when a rush of cold air blew at them, almost knocking both of them to the ground.
“Chelinka?!” Aleria’s first instinct was to see if her daughter was safe, or even worse, had been the cause of the wind. It took Lalatov a few more seconds to collect himself but once he did, he followed right behind Aleria.
Aleria stopped in front of the crib but did not look inside it.
Lalatov did. He found it to be empty.
He didn’t even get the chance to freak out about it before he felt someone tap his shoulder.
“Uwbauwa??” Was his only response.
He turned to look at Aleria. She was standing there, her mouth open and looking up at the ceiling. Without saying a word she gestured to Lalatov to look at the ceiling above them.
There above them, was their daughter, crawling on the ceiling without a care in the world.
Chelinka let out a giggle and sat down. Still on the ceiling. A fly flew by her and she curiously swiped at it. Then a pair of long pincers came out of her mouth and snatched the fly from the air. Chelinka happily babbled to herself before starting her crawling once again.
Aleria and Lalatov followed under her in shock.
“...Did she get that from you?” Lalatov asked.
“Funny…” Aleria watched as Chelinka let out a small burp, which she could have sworn caused her to spit out a little fireball, “I was about to ask you the same thing.”
In retrospect, any chance of Chelinka being normal had already been thrown out when her mother was part-voidsent and her father (possibly) part-dragon.
#ffxivwrite2023#cocorn#elelote#get it cause therye checking up on her ahahahahahaha#hahaha#baby babycorn could also do most not all of what cherrypit can do cherrypit is leagues ahead of how she used to be#she grew out of that but didnt grow out of being a starsinger#just like she didnt grow out of being Babycorn :)#aleria is like (Final Fantasy VII Spoilers)#the reason babycorn flew up to the roof is cause she heard what her mom said#jury still out on if lalatovs part dragon i ll beat this joke into the ground

I went to three Taylor Swift concerts in 72 hours, and it was completely, utterly worth it
Leaving MetLife Stadium in 2015, after the second of two Taylor Swift exhibits I attended throughout her “1989” tour, I had just one thought on my thoughts: If Taylor had been enjoying a 3rd night time, I’d be there with bells on. That’s how I discovered myself with tickets to the total trio of Taylor’s “Repute” tour dates on the similar stadium three years later. After charges, I forked over almost $600 to see my longtime pop idol grace the identical stage for three consecutive nights. (For comparability, a general-admission go to Coachella prices $429.) So earlier this month, I set out for three days’ worth of track, snakes and Swift — however by no means may anticipated how the story would finish. Right here’s how it all went down. Friday 5:05: I depart work early with my colleague Chelsea, who’s additionally acquired tickets for tonight’s present. It’s my aim to arrive earlier than Charli XCX — Taylor’s first opening act and one other one in every of my favourite artists — goes on. 5:30: Penn Station is sweltering, and jam-packed with Swifties in Taylor-themed costumes. I spy a few “Shake It Off” ballerinas and quite a lot of followers in literal snake getups. We board a crowded practice to MetLife Stadium. (Welcome to New York — it’s been ready for you.) 7:10: Made it! I discover my strategically chosen seat proper subsequent to the primary of Taylor’s two B-stages, and Charli begins her set. 7:50: Second opener Camila Cabello is up. Whereas dancing to “Havana,” I befriend the concert-goer on my left. She asks whether or not that is my first “Repute” present. Sure, I inform her, however I’m going all to all three of this weekend’s dates. “Me too,” she replies, “however I’ve already seen it in two different cities.” My three-show streak all of the sudden appears tame in comparability. 8:30: Camila finishes her set and I sprint off to purchase a scorching canine, which I wolf down whereas huddled in a nook alone. Stylish! 8:50: IT’S TAYLOR TIME!!! The stadium goes darkish, and the opening strains of “…Prepared For It?” echo round me. I am, certainly, prepared for it. Enter Taylor.Getty Photos for TAS 8:51: I was most undoubtedly not prepared for it. I’min hazard of dropping my voice on night time one, screaming the lyrics on the high of my lungs. 8:55: Up subsequent is “I Did One thing Dangerous,” one in every of my favorites from “Repute.” The stay staging contains each fireworks and flames, that are exactly employed to match the track’s beat. 9:00: “I grew up going to the Jersey Shore each single summer season!” Taylor exclaims, which is information to me at the same time as a megafan. Name her TayWoww. 9:15: The stage goes darkish as soon as once more, and a video performs that I’ll name “American Horror Story: Taylor Swift.” Plenty of bounce cuts, scratchy movie, shadows — and, in fact, snakes galore. I really feel like Ryan Murphy and Taylor would actually hit it off. 9:30: Throughout her efficiency of “Delicate,” Taylor soars over to the primary B-stage by way of a suspended carriage wrapped in twinkly lights. She’s carrying a good looking beaded blue-and-red costume that she’ll later evaluate to a Tide Pod on Instagram. Charli XCX, Camila Cabello and Taylor Swift onstage.Getty Photos for TAS 9:35: Taylor brings Charli XCX and Camila Cabello again out for “Shake It Off” — mere ft away from the place I’m standing. I shriek-sing alongside, snapping iPhone pictures like a madwoman as confetti rains down. I can’t imagine how shut I am! At one level, I swear Taylor winks at me. 9:55: Followers are packed like sardines on both facet of the barricaded path Taylor will cross to transfer between her two B-stages. As she runs by means of the group, Taylor grasps — not simply high-fives! — the hand of each individual she presumably can. 10:05: After singing “Clean Area” and “Costume,” Taylor boards a second flying carriage — this one formed like a snake’s skeleton — again to the primary stage, performing “Dangerous Blood” in midair. She blends the monitor with “Ought to’ve Stated No,” a track from her 2006 debut album, and followers of “nation Taylor” lose their minds. 10:20: Taylor mashes up her 2010 monitor “Lengthy Stay” with “Repute” piano ballad “New 12 months’s Day,” however momentarily flubs the opening of the latter. “Piano is difficult,” she says, beginning over. It’s a consolation to know that even Taylor Swift makes errors generally. 11:00: That’s a wrap on night time one! Throughout the New Jersey Transit experience dwelling, our total automotive breaks into an impromptu singalong. I’m nearly too exhausted to be part of in. Nearly. Saturday 7:00: My boyfriend Ryan and I arrive at MetLife for Taylor Take Two. It’s the primary time he’ll have ever seen her stay — a incontrovertible fact that none of my pals or household, all of whom know the way significantly I take my Swiftie standing, can fairly imagine. 7:15: Tonight’s forecast contains rain, and a number of it. The primary few drops begin falling throughout Charli XCX’s set, and everybody whips out their plastic ponchos. 8:30: After each openers’ units, we seize pizza and a tender pretzel from a concessions stand, and try to eat whereas leaning in opposition to a wall. Ryan promptly drops his total $20 meal on the bottom; we shake it off and replenish on beers as a substitute. 8:38: The drizzle outdoors has become a full-on downpour. 8:50: BABY, LET THE GAMES BEGIN. 9:10: “You understand your actual pals will present up for you rain or shine,” Taylor tells us. “And that’s the reason, no matter what occurs tonight, this crowd to me is completely sacred.” The stadium roars its approval. 9:18: Ryan, who at this level is 2 beers deep and has the hood of his rain jacket pulled as tightly round his face as it’ll go, leaves to use the restroom throughout “Look What You Made Me Do.” In doing so, he misses out on each seeing a 50-foot inflatable cobra dramatically rise from the stage and Tiffany Haddish delivering the track’s line in regards to the “outdated Taylor” being lifeless. Time these toilet breaks, individuals! 9:48: At each cease on her “Repute” tour, Taylor has carried out a shock track on the primary B-stage. Tonight’s is the aptly chosen “Fearless.” Certainly, when it comes to making you need to dance in a storm in your greatest costume — or a $2.50 plastic emergency poncho from Duane Reade — there’s actually no one like Taylor Swift. 10:05: Ryan could be very impressed by Taylor’s flying snake-skeleton carriage, and desires everybody to know it. 10:15: Now he’s happening a Google rabbit gap attempting to work out the mechanics behind the tour’s synchronized light-up bracelets, which each and every fan receives upon check-in. 10:30: Taylor introduces “Getaway Automotive” with a good looking quick movie set in a salt desert, which I’m moderately-to-extremely assured can be a teaser for the monitor’s forthcoming full music video. You heard it right here first, pals. 10:50: She did it: Taylor carried out her full two-plus-hour present, regardless of the torrential downpour. “WELL?!” I ask Ryan as we make our method out of the stadium. “It had its moments,” he says with a smile and a shrug. I briefly contemplate breaking apart with him, however suspect he had extra enjoyable than he’s keen to admit. Sunday 8:00 a.m.: I get up, examine my electronic mail and freeze. There’s a message from Taylor’s publicist — whom I’d emailed months in the past mentioning how excited I was for her weekend of exhibits — asking if I can present up a couple of hours early to tonight’s efficiency. Realizing that this implies a meet-and-greet alternative, I burst into tears, waking Ryan from his peaceable slumber. “I’M MEETHING THAYLOR THWIFT!” I scream-sputter by means of my nightguard. 2:00: I begin my pre-concert prep: bathe, hair, nails, outfit. If I’m going to meet my idol, I’d higher look my greatest. I determine on some velvet shorts impressed by Taylor’s “Saturday Night time Stay” efficiency look, together with a mesh tank high and each of the snake rings I purchased from Taylor’s on-line merch retailer when “Repute” first got here out. 5:45: It’s pouring by the point my pal Liza and I arrive on the designated assembly spot, and so humid that my bangs have reached DJ Tanner proportions. I’m too excited to care. 6:00: We’re escorted again to Taylor’s “Rep Room,” the place refreshments and snake-themed décor await. She’s acquired Outdated Fashioneds on faucet (a nod to the “Getaway Automotive” lyric,“I knew it from the primary Outdated Normal we had been cursed”) and a large ice bucket of beers (in the track “King of My Coronary heart,” she sings about “ingesting beer out of plastic cups”). A-plus consideration to element, that Taylor. 6:30: After almost a decade of fandom, it’s lastly time for me to meet my hero. Taylor greets me with an enormous hug, and I promptly black out. We discuss for nearly 10 minutes about . . . one thing? Vogue? Music? It’s a blur. She’s extremely good. When it’s time for our photograph op collectively, she grabs each of my palms, interlocking her fingers with mine. My soul promptly exits my physique. 8:50: ARE YOU READY FOR IT? 9:05: Taylor mashes up her “1989” single “Fashion” with “Love Story” and “You Belong With Me,” two hits from her earlier albums. Liza, who grew up in Nashville and is completely Staff Nation Taylor, is leaping up and down like a maniac. Swift throws again to her nation roots.Getty Photos for TAS 9:50: Shock track time! Taylor picks the “Communicate Now” favourite “Enchanted.” Have you ever ever witnessed 60,000 individuals singing “This night time is glowing, don’t you let it go” in unison? It’s fairly rattling enchanting. 9:55: Liza and I dash from our seats to Taylor’s second B-stage, the place she serenades the group with “Clean Area” and “Costume.” I’m as shut to her as I was on night time one — although not as shut as I was only a few hours prior (!!!). Even in my residual state of shock, I handle to snap a couple of pictures for posterity. 10:15: I’m jamming out as Taylor performs my favourite track from “Repute,” the gospel-inspired and highly-underrated “Don’t Blame Me.” It’s even higher stay, if that’s doable. 10:45: Since that is my third and closing go-around, I know precisely when to begin making my method out of the stadium in order to beat the crowds to the practice. The second Taylor thanks everybody on the finish of her “We Are By no means Ever Getting Again Collectively/This Is Why We Can’t Have Good Issues” mashup, Liza and I are headed for the exit — and my Swiftdrawal has already begun.
