Mechabot's reactions to how bbb(original series) got his elements

Mechabot was worried since Ochobot was kinda mandatory(even if it really wanted it no where near bbb) because they needed Ochobot to help figure out how bbb's powers worked and to make sure bbb wouldn't hurt himself while practicing using it(since they had no dedicated space for it, they would often sneak off to a more abandoned area, kinda like the spooky mansion that Fang uses for his stay)

With the presence of two power spheres in the vicinity of children, Mechabot would often hide around/near Kokotiam Gang(-Fang) instead of being out in the open like Ochobot, even when they are alone on the field

Api

Mechabot didn't show it but it was upset that Boboiboy didn't confide in it, once the element was revealed to have appeared due to stress, it couldn't help but play.

Play with bbb like it used to, to loosen up a bit and to help.

It had always feared a responsibility this big would cause too much stress for the kid.

Mechabot helped soothe Boboiboy's stress during Api's arc and still does make sure the boy isn't stressed. If bbb happens to be, Mechabot lets loose for a bit and plays like they used to(there is a small frame of time before the supposed disappearance/death of Amato and his wife, just enough time for the power sphere to start caring.... which isn't a lot because Mechabot basically became friends with Amato in the span of 3-4 days in the movie)

Mechabot was proud Boboiboy believed he could defeat Boboibot... It just wished his elements weren't being unlocked in such uncontrolled environments(Mechabot has been really careful since.... It will interfere if it's too dangerous for the kids)

As evidenced by Api's first appearance, bbb's emotions play a big role in the unlocking of an element. To have a young child unlock such power in situations that may get out of hand/are unsafe could result in disaster.

Mechabot was in awe at how powerful bbb was, of course it helped but with the restrictions it was under it couldn't do much.

That did not stop it from frantically asking if bbb was ok or not.

It has been demonetised in the early 2000’s, which means mechamato the movie probably took place around the 80’s or 90’s

20240129. Mechamato Movie, Japanese dub! :D

So minggu ni ialah minggu pertama Mechamato Movie versi bahasa Jepun ditayangkan kat pawagam Malaysia. Kali ni sambutan agak kureng la makcik tengok, maybe sebab sekarang ni musim peperiksaan. Ataupun sebab Mechamato Movie ni ialah movie sama pernah tayang tahun 2022-2023, cuma tukar bahasa je.

So target audience mainly ialah yang dah tengok Mechamato Movie versi bahasa Melayu, dan jugak orang yang minat siri Mechamato versi Jepun. (Tapi kalau first time tengok pun boleh je, ada subtitle BM, BI ngan BC. Cuma tu la, sape suruh tertinggal banyak keretapi tengok versi Melayu - pawagam, Netflix, Astro First, dll. tahun lepas. Sekarang baru sibuk nak tengok versi Melayu. Dulu taknak tengok.)

Anyway. Perbandingan Mechamato Movie Japanese ngan Mechamato Movie BM:

1) Memandangkan VA untuk versi Jepun rata2 ialah non-Muslim, movie jugak ditayang kepada non-Muslim, memang mustahil la nak jumpa ucapan2 yang karekter2 Muslim ni sebut.

Assalamulaikum & Wa'alaikumsalam jadi "Ittekimasu" (saya pergi dulu) dan "Itterasshai" (selamat jalan) - diucapkan oleh Amato & makpaknya bila Amato keluar rumah.

The meremang-inducing Bismillah oleh Maskmana semasa nak buka jurus silat melawan Grakakus jadi "Kakugo shiro" (bersedialah kamu). Auto jadi tak remang.

Tapi kena faham. Audience untuk versi Jepun kebanyakannya ialah non-Muslim. Islam ialah agama minoriti kat sana. Dan banyak orang kat luar sana masih salah anggap Islam ni ialah... (faham2 sudah). So bagi hakak ni kira jalan selamat la supaya tak dicari point buruk oleh "nurtizen" (keyboard warriors) kat luar sana.

Tapi bila benda ni dibesarkan oleh team Monsta sendiri yang (1) sorang pun tak ada pergi tengok / pantau proses alih suara kat Jepun ke? dan (2) insist nak jugak ada Bismillah padahal benda dah siap ni, I be like "errr..." 🤦

2) Lagu "Temaniku" dinyanyikan balik ke bahasa Jepun dengan tajuk "Tomodachi". Suka versi ni. Hahaha jahat je

3) Lagu BBB (??? Beca Boys) dipotong so tinggal babak kejar-mengejar antara robot suruhan Grakakus dengan Amato + Mechabot versi Mechabeca. First timer maybe tak akan perasan, tapi mungkin perasan jugak sebab sebelum adegan kejar-mengejar ni, memang ada pertandingan beca tercantik dan Datuk Bandar ada umum persembahan oleh BBB (tapi benda ni tak berlaku).

4) Mid-credit scene pasal Boboiboy dipotong dan ditukar kepada secret ending team Maskmana jumpa Bago Go, tetiba abahnya Amato (Aba) muncul (movie BM tak ada benda ni, tapi YT Monsta ada kalau tak silap).

Ingatkan ada la versi Boboiboy kat end credit bila mid-credit ditunjuk secret ending team Maskmana + Aba tu, tapi takde. Hampa makcik. Hahaha

Maybe sebab BBB series, BBBM & BBBM2 tak sampai ke Jepun, idk. Atau maybe belum / kurang popular kat Jepun. Padahal boleh je guna mid-credit tu untuk (re-)introduce Boboiboy, cumanya faham2 je la, kena start daripada 1st season semasa 3-D animation belum canggih lagi.

5) Dari segi voice acting, Jepun ada ekspresi bagus. Tapi benda simple macam "Apakah??" dan "Tingginya!" dipanjang2kan.

So "Apakah??" jadi something like, "What the bloody hell is that???" dan "Tingginya!" jadi something like, "Whoaaaaaa it's too high, I'm falling!!!" (Bukan ayat Jepun sebenar. Makcik bukannya terer sangat bahasa Jepun boleh ingat ayat diorang sebiji-sebiji lol tapi memang panjang. Banyak pulak cakapnya.)

Sama la signature Amato, "Kan?" jadi "Da~yo na!"

So yeah, mulut tak sync dengan ucapan. (Kena faham, re-rendering mulut nak bagi sync dengan ucapan versi Jepun = belanja extra. Tak puluh ribu, juta. Sape nak bazir duit cenggitu 🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂)

Ha tu je la yang makcik nak cakap. Memang spoil gila2 la kalau korang tak tengok movie ni tapi pergi cari review dulu.

This post is directed to my followers who haven't watch or probably even heard of AniMy besides my blog so it's mostly ninjago and a few other fandoms. Basically I'm trying to introduce AniMy spoiler-free but it's probably terrible.

Now, what is AniMy? It stands for Malaysian Animation, and is basically any cartoons made in Malaysia. There's a lot actually, such as Puteri, Upin Ipin, Awang Kenit but I'm only gonna talk about Monsta's animations and Ejen Ali here.

BoBoiBoy is a series about a 10 year old boy called BoBoiBoy who gets elemental powers from a power sphera (a type of robot) named Ochobot when he technically activated him. His friends Yaya, Ying and Gopal also gets superpowers from Ochobot and together they protect Pulau Rintis from evil aliens. There's also Fang who appears later in season 2 and becomes part of the main cast. There are 13 episodes each in season 1 & 2 while season 3, the final season, has 26 episodes which if I'm not wrong has most episodes with eng dub on youtube while episodes that don't have subtitles. After the series, there's also a movie that's on youtube with english subtitles available.

BoBoiBoy Galaxy is a soft reboot of BoBoiBoy, which takes place a few years after the original series. BoBoiBoy is 14 now and rather than wait on earth for aliens to attack, they join an organization called TAPOPS, which rescues and protects power spheras like Ochobot. It's much more action packed compared to the original series and the characters are put into much more dangerous situations. There is only one season animated so far, with all 24 episodes on youtube with english subtitles. There is also a second movie that takes place after season 1 and while the movie is only available to watch in Malaysia, there's a comic adaptation, which doesn't have an english translation. However, with the whole pandemic thing I advise you not to buy that and instead wait for the digital (and translated) version probably coming out in June this year.

Mechamato is an upcoming series following Amato, BoBoiBoy's father and Mechabot, a power sphera and in this series rather than fighting evil aliens, they fight evil robots. The series hasn't aired yet but the first look is uploaded on youtube in both malay and english.

Ejen Ali is follows Ali, a 12 year old who accidentally becomes a secret agent when he activates I.R.I.S., a device that can analyze and predicts your opponents next move and figure out the best course of action. It's much more serious, dealing with death and betrayal multiple times despite only having 26 episodes and a movie. All the episodes are on youtube with english subtitles, but the movie was only released late 2019 so you can't watch that yet.

For the ninjago fans, BoBoiBoy is like s1 & 2, BoBoiBoy Galaxy is like s3-7, and Ejen Ali is like s8-10. No idea what Mechamato is like though.

A mistake as it was, it had to admit. He grew on it. It worried, even though it didn't show, rather argued like siblings. It cared for the child that had become its new master

The Disappearance had shook it, but it broke out of it when it heard it cry.

'The child', it thought as it realised that it he was cradled in its arms. Its master's offspring, it remembered the man that had lived with it alongside its master for years.

It put the child on the couch and dialed his number on the phone.

It wished for his return

But that was hard to achieve. After all, he lives with a sentient robot that could consume organic materials.

He would often have to reassure it, remind it that it was doing it's best.

Many times, it felt that its presence alone was a danger to them...

It was already worried about the consequences of someone finding it. It did not need its master's child to be put in danger by a seemingly juvenile Power Sphere, let alone have 3 other children involved.

Perhaps it was so bad people couldn't get their powers but a part of it knew some cared too much to not protect them

Mechamato episode 5 might be the one I’m disappointed the most. It’s not.........................................................very bad, per se. But it’s just, ignore the potential? All it has is showing how rich Pian’s family is, and I guess I’m just tired with the trope “character A is super rich look at his extravagant, lavish house” which I can’t think of any other reasons than to make the viewers goes “woah that’s so cool I wish I can experience that”.

I was hoping the episode would give more character to Pian. The first 5 minutes is Pian’s mother doing luxurious things while giving Pian money more than she should (if she wants to be a good mother and teach Pian to value money more). Pian also seems to understand this because while he says thanks to his mother, he doesn’t seem to be very happy about it. Look at the potential for his character! He could be a trust fund kid who actually knows the danger of being a trust fund kid. I was really hoping for his characterization but ig it’s m0nst4 we’re talking here :///

I don’t really wanna lose hope yet because there are scenes where Amato and Deep goes “whoa you’re really rich!” and Pian says something like “And with all of these, my mother still thinks...[cut off]” probably he meant his mother still thinks they need more money, and Pian doesn’t seem very happy about it.

Plus I also cringed whenever Amato and Deep goes “don’t worry you’re rich!” everytime Amato & the Janitor robot (i forgot its name) make a mess from their fight.

I know I shouldn’t hope too much because iT’s A kId ShOw but ig I still want more character depth.

I found a way to watch in indo dub!!! Although I'm skeptical with the dub I have to admit I'm curious how it'd turn out. Sadly Video on Demand doesn't allow changing audio so I'll try to watch the second episode with indo dub, but I'm rewatching the first episode because yesterday (eventhough I'm liveblogging) there are some things I have to do while watching so I missed some parts, it's not a plot heavy episode, just introduction, so I don't feel like I'm missing anything.

-There's a "Contest Rekacipta" poster in Amato's....storehouse?? Office?? Idk what it's called, I wonder if that'll be important later. Amato seems like he's interested in technology even without Mechabot so wouldn't it be interesting to him entering the Rekacipta Contest (idk how to translate that) without Mechabot's help

-The origin of Mechabot's obsession of currypuff is so cute haha so Amato is running late to school, a middle aged women throws (literally throw) a currypuff at him, Mechabot can't stop complaining so Amato shut his mouth by giving him the currypuff. Mechabot falls in love with currypuff since then lol

-okay so I was wrong in my LB about Mechabot complaining all the time, I mean yes he complains a lot but he doesn't complain when Amato mechanizes him with cool things, he complains when Amato mechanizes him with a broom and trash can's lid. Honestly, understandable.

-AND MY FAVORITE LINE THAT I POSTED ISN'T COMPLETED LMAO "Stay outside! Gadget is not allowed in school!" "I'M NOT A GADGET???" "YOU'RE IN THE SAME CATEGORY!!"

-tbh I like how not everything is magically restored after Amato defeated the Traffic Cone-Bot (idk what their name). Okay so spoilers ahead (as if everything before is not spoilers) so the Traffic Cones, i don't really know the reason, make a large swimming pool in the middle of the street, that's why Amato is fighting them. After Amato wins, Amato took them to cover the pool so it'd become normal street again. Even little details like the damaged wall by a wrench(it was thrown by one of the cones) is shown being repaired. I guess it's a good thing to know that everything needs to be cleaned up, not magically disappear. I'm totally not shading a specific show.

Okay so what we get:

-the hero named mechamato is already well-known in the city, probably from the movie because I think the movie is the origin? The "how amato met mechabot and eventually gain his trust and become his master" ??

-BUT NO ONE KNOWS AMATO IS MECHAMATO??? Probably except Aba and Ummi and Pian (they translate it to Dad and Mom and no I will not use Dad and Mom 🙄 Aba is iconic okay) the teacher doesn't believe it even when he looks at the photo of mechamato and amato side by side like dude???? AMATO ISN'T EVEN WEARING MASKS YOU'RE WORSE THAN EVERYONE IN MLB

-Pian is a trust fund kid and for some reason he doesn't want to help Amato when his teacher doesn't believe he's mechamato??? What's up with that 🤨

-so since in the off-mic episode (i forgot the name) mechabot comes to school and the teacher doesn't seem to mind, I guess we'll get an episode about the teacher somewhere in the future. At least we know there will a be a continuous timeline!!! Eventhough each episode has differen theme.

It's not a bad episode but not very superb either. It's decent I guess, and even for someone who doesn't know anything about power sphera universe I think they'll understand this episode. Because unlike BBBG when they keep talking about powers and power spheras since episode 1, mechamato makes more smooth introduction and slow building to make new comers understand.

I'm interested to know how the word "power sphera" will come to this show, because Mechabot is canonically a power sphera right? But in this episode they keep saying "robots" "gadget" (lol) like there's no mention of power sphera at all. I'm interested in how this series will connect and give more lore to anything power sphera related.

But at the end this is a kids show, and I'm not saying it in the sense of "kids show is less than teen/young adult/adult show" because I know that kids show can be as deep as any kind of show if not better, but it still has to be acknowledged that kids show is set to make kids understand what's going on, you know what I mean? I don't think it's a bad episode at all but it does feel childish, but it's meant to be. I'm not in their age-target and that's okay.

My nephew is also not in their age target either haha so I can't use him to watch this show.

Mecharoller is just so cool, idk although the idea behind it is so simple, everything about it was just cool at that moment; the pose, the music, the movements etc. Nevertheless the first ep helicopter remain unbeatable. My least mechanization would be the last armor in ep 7? its just doesnt seem too creative and does not function much too lol

BBB Movie 2

I know I’m soo latee XD I’ve watched the movie a long time ago lol I just want to write a bit to loosen up since I’ve not been here for a long timeee

1. Animation was a huge upgrade from the first. And Im loving how they start making the hair movements. What I love is: the bg. It’s so beautiful omgg Like it truly left in awe. If there anything to imrove: the fighting dinamic i guess? Bcause the effect was cool and all but i rlly want to see more movement and fighting sequence. E.g i love petir movement in ep 1 bbbg and fire’s in bbbg ep 10 ( now im having a high expectation for mechamato)

2. Plot was nicely donee. I mean, it was structured well imo where its not too heavy for children but not too silly for adult. One of the thing I love about the franchise is that its still child-friendly and not too angst (although I actually want it to be more angst teehee) But still I noticed that there a few mysteries put in the movie. E.g Tok kasa did not tell them how he knew ochobot and where he get it. I think it will be disscussed in the future. Anything to improve: Im a bit sad that they nerf the adults... I mean those tapops adult members did nothing big in the movie except cameos XD in the future I rlly wish the members would be shown as role models for the kids. Addition: I actually hope the franchise will disscuss more on issues involving children and family but of course in a soft way. E.g when hang kasa and retakka was abandon during childhood. That’s a rlly good scenario actually.

3. Comedy was insanely good XD The comedy in the movie was twice (perhaps triple?) than bbbg and the first movie. Thumbs up to that. But the bad thing is: its too much i guess. I’ve heard a few people commenting about how the comedic act disturb the emotional/intense scene. And Im agreeing to this. Monsta gives us time to cry please. I was triggered how the comedy comes as soon as I was about to cry. I rlly love the comedy and I know bbb is kind of a gag series but i hope there would be more drama or relatable scenario actually hehe

4. Villain: Retakka. His va was good rlly GOOD. Omg I love the way he talks, classic or malays called baku/ formal language. Its good implementation for an ancient villain. Although in the movie it was stated that he collected all those elementals due to greed, I believe there is more to it and i hope it is for character depth purpose. Perhaps there’s a reason why he wants all of the elemental? I mean it could be a reason to lengthen the plot and mysteries of bbb power as well. So far my fave villain is still ejojo. He was hella smart af and memorable villain. And his arc was long too

5. Fusion. Tbh there was a few rumours on new elemnts of bbb and it kind of get me down a bit. Bcause mann give our boy a break. He is becoming too op noww TT but then I accidentally found a spoiler on the fusion and I become more depressed XD i got a spoiler right b4 watching it... nvm although i expected it (ty to spoilers) it still got me excited af. (FF was such a rebel. I LOVE HIM) it was a nice idea i guess. Perhaps they took ideas from washichan lol nevertheless my boy is still too op omg XD tbh this will bcome a problem for their team. When each of them are too excellent individually, won’t it will be hard for them to achieve teamwork? I don’t know i guess its just imo. Aside from that, goshh give the others power upgrade and chara development too! They’ve been sideline for so long. Yaya ying and fang upg was nice but its just for a while... and gopal is still gopal hahahha this actually makes me hope that one day they would go separately and realise more on the importance of friendship and teamwork yadayada in short I crave for chara development and more emotions

6. Credit scene was mindblown. Like WOW. Nobody would not feel hyped after seeing that! After thinking for awhile, it occurs to me that perhaps one of bbb movie 2 motives was to introduce amato identity to attract mechamato audiences. Perhaps that’s why they push through to release the movie nmw i think it was a clever move to keep people’s hype for both of the franchises. Welp but now im SO HYPE on mechamato ( hc want boboiboy to have his mother face lol amato is too cute with those eyess )

Overall it was a fun to watch family movie! My family now has more expectation on local animation. Yeahh SUPPORT ANIMYY i’ll give it 8/10 twinkle twinkle little stars ;D
