🌻Sunflower 🌻
It's a very good flower. The seasonal depression is kicking my ass but we take small victories where we can get them. Is an unusually warm Michigan winter scary? A little. But I get to wear this cute little fit. Small victories.
Maya Kern skirts continue to be a wardrobe staple time and time again. The deep pockets on these bad boys make carrying a purse unnecessary but I make an exception for my favorite sunflower purse made by Morning Witch.

I am ordained in my church but I do not work in the church. I work as a healthcare chaplain providing spiritual support to people of all faiths and no faiths. However, I do volunteer preaching/helping with services at my church.
We are doing a gender affirming pride month service on Saturday and we were invited to wear rainbow stoles. However, I do not have a rainbow stole. So, despite never having hand sewed an entire project in my life, I decided to make a rainbow stole by hand sewing because I do not own a sewing machine.
I love so much how it turned out! And it's reversible. 🤩😍🤩😍🤩😍
I'm Ace so I added an @mayakern ace butterfly pin to each side. 💜

As continual motivation to work on cosplays I have been documenting the process of making this one by @mayakern
I’m editing the original slightly just for my own body limitations but I’m staying pretty close to the source picture!
I got about 3 yards of power mesh which is a fabric that has a four way stretch and I’m using it as the base for my bodice. I sewed it onto a bra because trying to make feathers conform to boob shape without it sounded like hell
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Then I attached it to my dress form and got to work. When I was working on my Azem summoning circle dress I bought a silicone mat that’s usually used for baking, because it’s perfect to keep hot glue from sticking to surfaces. I put that under the mesh and started the very long process of applying feathers with hot glue. These are cruelty free feathers primarily (I got some from craft stores and online before I looked into types of feathers and how not to suck while using them) and the hardest part of the process is honestly taking the little fluffy bits off Every. Single. Feather.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
And now it’s just repeat ad nauseam
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
I’m slowly working on the back but I have to figure out how to fasten this top before I add the feathers because if I’m doing a zipper I need to arrange the feathers accordingly. Next reblog will be the necklace I made when I can get pictures of it!

Finally got to wear my new @mayakern skirt! I love the daintily morbid vibe so I tried to lean into a sort of cottage-goth aesthetic, and I'm really pleased with the result 🥰

New @mayakern skirts are here, and kiddo finally has one of her own! (and I'm now up to 9 myself with this one and the two others that came with it lol)
She is having a wonderful time twirling and swishing, and the first thing she put in the pocket of her skirt (as tradition requires) was the switch :D
(kiddo is in jellyfish mini new size A, I'm in the bubbles midi new size B)

Mystery Skulls Concert Fit.
Im going back to my roots I went to the tenth anniversary tour for the album Forever by the Mystery Skulls. I believe they're still touring I highly recommend seeing them live. They played eye to eye from a goofy movie at the end so the vibes were immaculate.
