Welcome to the RTC Legacy challenge! This idea was created by me and @nischabrainrot a while ago and I think it deserves to be shown to the world! So here it is! :D

You have to be this tall to ride the cyclone (rules):

No cheats, beyond the usual (CAS, build, etc - no money cheats!)

You may alter any generation if you don’t have the pack(s) required and find base game alternatives to goals, but any rules you are capable of doing are compulsory. 

All generations must reach level 5 singing, to honour the Saint Cassian choir

Generation 1: Noel Gruber Alone on the streets, you've gotta do what it takes to survive. Scavenge, homewreck, take money from rich old men, you do what you have to. You always wanted bad love, but maybe that's not all there is to life?

Aspiration: Serial Romantic

Traits: Romantic, Creative, Bookworm

Career: N/A

Requires: City Living

Rules

Start with 0 simoleons in a small unfurnished apartment (or an empty lot if you prefer)

You cannot be employed, you may make money however you see fit except from a job, options include: finding and selling collectibles, writing books, theft, marrying for money, homewrecking old married men and taking their money, and so on.

You cannot find a “soulmate” or healthy, long-term relationship until you have completed the serial romantic aspiration. If you never complete it, you must die alone.

If you don’t complete the aspiration, you can only have one child, to be your heir (either via science baby or a one-night stand if your sim/the sim you hook up with can get pregnant).

If you do complete the aspiration, fall in love and marry your soulmate, and have as many kids as you want. 

Generation 2: Misha Bachynskyi Growing up, you either rotted away in a dingy apartment with your parent, hopping between old dudes’ mansions for quick cash, or flourished in a loving family, your parent the strongest, and most morally questionable person you know. Regardless, your upbringing was weird. Maybe it was the instability, or your parent’s shady background, but a strong, rageful passion within you craves to run away, leave your hometown behind and start something new, a path towards stardom, your name on billboards. Secretly though, there’s a part of you that dreams of falling in love along the way.

Aspiration: Soulmate

Traits: Hot-headed, Materialistic, Romantic

Career: Freelance Musician (Music Production) -Youtuber - Streamer

Requires: Get Famous and High School Years + Get to Work/Dine Out

Rules:

If you grew up in a house, have your bedroom be in the basement.

As a teen, cause trouble at school: pranking, arguments, fights etc. Fight all bullies you see at high school, any time you see bullying at school, beat up the bully.

[Requires Lovestruck or a mod] Find a partner on a dating app.

Join a high school extracurricular activity and befriend at least one of your teammates.

Either: break up with your partner and become high school sweethearts with one of your teammates, or meet and exchange promise rings with the partner you met online. Whichever you choose, you must stay with them forever.

Max the media production skill + 1 performance skill of your choice (Singing Lvl 5 is already compulsory, but you can max that as your added skill, or choose something else like Dancing or Acting)

[Requires Parenthood, optional] Age up to YA with the Argumentative trait (low conflict resolution)

Once you are a young adult, move out of your family home and start your full time career. It is up to you whether you want to live solely off music production, or also become a youtuber/streamer as well, but you can’t join a normal career.

Marry your long-term partner and have 3+ kids, with a significant age gap between them (for example, a new baby towards the very end of adulthood)

[Requires Get to Work/Dine Out] Have your spouse open a cafe/bakery as soon as you get married, and run the shop with your kids.

Generation 3: Constance Blackwood You love your family, more than anything. Living in a big family home with your parents, who are still passionately in love and always have been, and your siblings, who you spent most of your free time growing up playing with and taking care of. You’re your family’s superstar, friend to all, nicest person in town, and one day you’ll take over the family business. But is that really all there is to life?

Aspiration: Big Happy Family

Traits: Good, Foodie, Family Oriented

Career: Running the family business!

Requires: Get to Work/Dine Out

Rules:

Have maxed relationships with all family members.

Max the social skill as a child

Maintain 5+ friendships outside family at all times

[Optional, requires Get Famous/Seasons] Join either Scouts or Drama club as a child and stay until you’re a young adult

Befriend a sim (as a child/teen) with one of the following traits: Self-Assured, Perfectionist, Self-Absorbed, Overachiever or High Maintenance. This sim will be your best friend.

As a teen, run the cafe/bakery after school and on weekends, and bake something every day

Go to every prom [Bonus: always go to prom as friends with your best friend, regardless of potential love interests]

[Requires Parenthood] Age up to YA with the Mediator trait (high conflict resolution)

If your best friend ages up to YA with a positive trait, stay best friends and/or date them. If your best friend ages up to YA with a negative trait, argue and end the friendship.

Max the cooking and baking skills

You must accept any and all invitations to festivals, no matter what, to honour the fall fair

Get married to your chosen partner quickly, ASAP. Move them into your family home as soon as you do - your family wouldn’t want you to move out!

When you age up to Adult, have a midlife crisis and start a new career. If your game gives you a midlife crisis on its own, follow every single request, no exceptions. 

Have one child, or have your youngest be the heir. 

Generation 4: Ricky Potts Your family love you, they do, but with so many people in one house, all the chaos of your multi-generational household, you fade into the background. So, alone with your boundless imagination, you dream and dream and dream, never quite understood by your peers, until you meet the right ones. All you know? Aliens are really hot.

Aspiration: Nerd Brain

Traits: Creative, Geek, Loyal

Career: Scientist

Requires: Get to Work and Cats & Dogs

Rules:

Max mental and creative skills as a child

Read every Sci-Fi book and watch movies daily

Have a pen-pal

[Requires Parenthood] Age up to YA with the Compassionate trait (high empathy)

[Requires City Living] Win the Ultimate Gaming Test and/or the Hackathon at Geekcon

Complete your aspiration, and switch to Friend of the Animals

Travel to sixam and meet aliens. Romance and marry one of the aliens, moving with them into a new home.

Have 2+ kids with your spouse

Any space you have in your household, fill with cats. If you have your sim, your spouse, and 2 kids, you must have 4 cats. Your household must always be at 8 sims (the maximum), with as many cats as you can fit.

Generation 5: Ocean O’Connell Rosenberg Of all the people to be born into such an unconventional, unapologetically weird family, you wish it wasn’t you. You don’t hate your family, that would be extreme, but sometimes you find yourself as the white sheep of the family, the odd one out, the only normal one. Naturally, you harbour some resentment as a result. That’s not the only problem. No matter how much you convince yourself you’re the normal one, you have a secret that nobody outside of your family knows. How are you supposed to become the prime minister if everyone knows you’re an alien?!

Aspiration: Academic

Traits: Perfectionist, Ambitious, Snob

Career: Politician

Requires: City Living and Discover University [ + Get to Work]

Rules:

Have a strained relationship with family members (below 50 relationship points).

Get straight A grades all throughout education. Graduate early if possible

Either join an extracurricular activity, side hustle or part time job

Attempt to make friends, but use critical and condescending interactions with them, making attempts strained.

Keep your alien identity a secret as much as possible and anyone who finds out, becomes your enemy, however you see fit.

[Requires Parenthood] Age up to YA with the Responsible trait (high responsibility). 

Go to university and earn a History degree, this will advance you into your politics career

Mend poor relationships of the past - apologise to and befriend old friends, resolve enemies, reconnect with family, and try to be a better person.

Max the politics career, becoming National Leader AKA the president

Either marry an old friend you reunited with, a coworker, or remain single, but regardless of your relationship status, have two children.

Generation 6: Penny Lamb/Jane Doe

Raised by the president, with Alien DNA and a wild family history, it’s impossible for you to be invisible, even if you wanted to be. For the most part, you kept your head down, tried to avoid trouble and stayed in your lane, only causing a little trouble here and there with your sibling. That was until, through a friend of yours, you found the greatest sim to ever walk the earth, the most talented and admirable celebrity of your dreams, who you would do anything to meet and express your love for. Hang on a second, what rebrand?!

Aspiration: [Teen: Drama Llama] Country Caretaker/Friend of the Animals

Traits: Clumsy, Socially Awkward, Erratic

Career: Farmer

Requires: Get Famous, Cottage Living, My First Pet Stuff

Befriend a classmate as a child/teen. They, and your sibling, are your only friends. 

Early in your teens, find a celebrity to obsess over. During your mid teens, drastically change this celebrity [in CAS, go into their household and just change them up however you want] then HATE them. Attempt to attack and fight this celebrity.

Drop out of highschool out of embarrassment, and move out with your sibling and friend out of town, to an empty plot.

Start a farm on your new plot and become a full time farmer, still as a teen.

Buy a rat, and name him Virgil. As soon as Virgil dies, so do you, in any way you can. Suggestions: Buy a telescope and use it until you get hit by a meteor, grow a cowplant and let it eat you, or be killed by a Killer Rabbit/Chicken

Bonus, for fun, rename the Grim Reaper Karnak.

To celebrate Hanukkah and Christmas, Max and Sophie, siblings in an interfaith family, bake up a batch of gingerbread dreidels.

That’s the plot of a new children’s book out this year, but it could be a real-life occurrence this month, when the first night of Hanukkah falls on Christmas Day. Among the children’s books released ahead of the holidays are several that nod to the unusual calendar convergence and the increasing share of families that include both Jews and people who are not Jewish.

Other notable new Hanukkah children’s books include one about a unique menorah used at the White House; a compendium of stories and essays for older kids; and picture books featuring a bear, a puppy and a dragon.

Here’s a rundown of the new books on the Hanukkah market in 2024.

“Gingerbread Dreidels” Jane Breskin Zalben; illustrated by Thai My PhuongCharlesbridge; ages 4-7

In Jane Zalben’s new book, Max and Sophie are excited for the start of Hanukkah and Christmas Eve, which both begin the next day. The siblings are growing up in an interfaith family and celebrate both holidays with all their grandparents. They bake up a batch of gingerbread dreidels – a blend of each holiday’s traditions. When their grandparents arrive the next morning, they welcome Hanukkah and Christmas with latkes, pudding and holiday stories. My Phuong’s illustrations capture the kids’ joy and the book includes a recipe and instructions for readers to make their own gingerbread dreidels.

“Oy, Santa!: Or, There’s a Latke to Learn about Hanukkah” Joyce Schriebman; illustrated by Gila von MeissnerIntergalactic Afikoman; ages 4-9

In Joyce Schriebman’s humorous story, Oliver Overstreet hits send on an email to Santa to let the jolly North Pole gift-giver know that he is Jewish and that Santa and his reindeer can skip his chimney. As the pages unfold, Oliver sets Santa straight, to make sure he knows the difference between Hanukkah and Christmas and that Santa should never eat potato latkes with ketchup.

“Let It Glow” Marissa Meyer and Joanne LevyFeiwel and Friends; ages 8-12

When two 12-year-old girls, each adopted at birth, meet by chance, they discover that they are identical twins. Aviva Davis, a vivacious Broadway hopeful, is growing up in an interfaith, interracial family and loves to hang out with her Jewish Bubbe. Holly Martin, who is Christian and lives with her mother and grandfather, is a more reserved book nerd. In this coming-of-age story, told in the twins’ alternating voices, the sisters secretly switch places at home just in time for Hanukkah and Christmas. When their mischievous scheme goes too far, Aviva and Holly argue. A family health scare draws the two unsuspecting families together in this Chrismukkah “Parent Trap” mashup, and Aviva and Holly realize the resilience of family bonds and gain a deeper meaning of their faiths.

“My Dreidel” Ann Diament KoffskyApples & Honey Press; ages birth to 1

Young ones will relate to the child-like pup in Ann Koffsky’s cheerful board book when she tries to spin the Hanukkah dreidel with her paws. Her older brother helps out as they spin and dance till they plop like the dreidel.

“Don’t Invite a Bear Inside for Hanukkah” Karen Rostoker-Gruber; illustrated by Carles ArbatApples & Honey Press; ages 3-6

There’s mayhem in this laugh-out-loud story when a young boy invites a Jewish bear into his house for his family’s Hanukkah celebration. But when the fun turns messy, the boy asks his new friend to leave, a decision he instantly regrets after he realizes the bear is sad. All ends well when the thoughtful boy invites the bear back to celebrate together — outside.

“Uri and the King of Darkness: A Hanukkah Story” Nati Bait; illustrated by Carmel Ben Ami; translated by Ilan KurshanKalaniot Books; ages 4-9

As Hanukkah is about to begin, Uri and his sister Shir worry about their father when he is late coming home from work. Uri is frightened by a dark evening shadow cast from outside his window. He musters his courage, and with Shir, they fend off the imagined monster, waving his toy shield and Shir’s child umbrella. When their father arrives home bearing a boxful of sufganiyot, the fried jelly donuts enjoyed at Hanukkah, the family lights the menorah, with a more confident Uri, knowing he can draw on Hanukkah’s power of light to vanquish his fears.

“A Dragon For Hanukkah” Sarah Mlynowski; illustrated by Ariel Landy Orchard Press; ages 3-8

Hannah gets a dragon on the first night of Hanukkah, kicking off a holiday full of imagination, surprise and whimsy. This lavishly illustrated picture book is meant for both experienced celebrators of Hanukkah and people who are just learning about the holiday.

“Beam of Light: The Story of the First White House Menorah” Elisa Boxer; illustrated by Sofia MooreRocky Pond Books; ages 4-8

In 1948, the interior of the White House had to be completely renovated, requiring the “People’s House” to be closed. Some of the original wood was salvaged and put in storage. In this picture book, families discover the little known White House history of how, some 70 years later, a master woodworker transformed one of the pieces of rescued wood into a stunning Hanukkah menorah. In 2022, President Joe Biden kindled the menorah during the White House Hanukkah celebration.

“Eight Sweet Nights, A Festival of Lights: A Hanukkah Story” Charlotte Offsay; illustrated by Menahem HalberstadtDoubleday Books for Young Readers; ages 4-7

A multi-generational, racially diverse family gathers in the home of a young girl to celebrate Hanukkah with old and new traditions. They fry up batches of potato latkes, light the menorah and sing and dance.

“Hanukkah (Celebrations & Festivals)” Lesléa Newman; illustrated by Rotem TeplowQuarto Books; ages 5-7

Meet Lior, a young Israeli who’s the perfect, kid-friendly explainer-in-chief for all things Hanukkah. As Lior’s multicultural family gathers to celebrate, he shares the joy of the holiday and gently guides young readers through the hows and whys of the holiday. This engaging read-aloud includes blessings, crafts and Hanukkah greetings from around the world.

“The Festival of Lights: 16 Hanukkah Stories” Edited by Henry HerzAlbert Whitman & Company; ages 9-12

This Hanukkah collection — which includes stories, poetry and a comic — is geared toward older children and independent readers. In Herz’s humorous entry, “Der Verzauberte Löffel,” Caleb, a Jewish seventh-grader, impulsively bets that he’ll win his school’s holiday bake-off against Tyler, the classmate who bullies him. In an unexpected finish, Caleb — and Tyler — learn about forgiveness and second chances. Other works include “A Light in Darkness,”  Kimberly Brubaker Bradley’s story set in London during World War II, and Erica Perl’s “The Most Jewish Christmas Song Ever” that will strike a chord with theater lovers.

“The Day I Became A Potato Pancake” Arie Kaplan; illustrated by Beilin XuApples & Honey Press; ages 7-9

In this action-packed, comic-style chapter book, Naomi and Ben use their sleuthing skills to get into Naomi’s mother’s garage-turned-science lab. When the overly-enthusiastic kids set off an unexpected escapade, Ben is transformed into a potato latke. In a race against time, Naomi’s mother tries to reverse the experiment. It’s a page-turning whodunit that takes the friends into outer space and back.

“Rachel Friedman and Eight Not-Perfect Nights of Hanukkah” Sarah Kapit; illustrated by Genevieve KoteHenry Holt and Co.; ages 5-9

In the first chapter book featuring Rachel Friedman, a plucky grade-schooler who has ADHD and a strong Jewish identity, Rachel learned important lessons about when to follow rules — and when to break them. In the second, Rachel returns with high hopes for a festive Hanukkah. Instead, she has to overcome her brother Aaron’s bah-humbug holiday grumpiness.

“The Light From My Menorah: Celebrating Holidays around the World” Robin Heald; illustrated by Andrea BlinickPajama Press; ages 4-7

In this lavishly illustrated picture book, a young boy celebrates Hanukkah with his family. Hazbin mat only really has the one outfit, and it isn't super clear where their clothes start and their body begins lol. I think the thing that is actually Clothes is the long ruff thing that starts around their neck and drapes over their shoulders.

More broadly I think mats outfits are how I would dress all the time if I had both money and bravery. I want them to look cool and functional, but edgy and sexy too. A blend between like... Ruthless, fashion forward criminal hans Gruber types, matrix style clothing that would only have been cool in the 90s, and sexy eye candy assassins with impractical outfits, just without the usual female gendering of that role. plus just. a lot of fetishwear.

I've got a Pinterest board that I tend to use for inspiration if I don't want to do the standard "trenchcoat + turtleneck + slacks + inexplicable leather harness for the aesthetic" thing. Mat gives me very attack dog vibes as a whole. They are so loyal and loving but they are also vicious and will bite in defence of their owner. Very domesticated wolf of them. King of the junjle

hazbin mat's demon form is based on pilotfish, which is partly just they are so alt fashion hazbincore as a fish, but also because they have a symbiotic relationship with sharks, even down to cleaning inside their mouths for them. But I would also say in a sense of attaching and devoting themselves to bigger fish in exchange for their attention and protection, it fits them particularly well.

Their mentor max is also in hazbinverse, which I guess is the major difference in lore as he'd be dead and unreachable everywhere else 😂 the reason I bring it up is that max is nautically themed, despite being a raven demon - he also has kraken tentacles (actually reams of magnetic video tape) and can control fish aquaman style! So the fishiness of specifically hazbin mat ensures they have a connection with both of their weird daddy figures lol.

Hi Tumblr! This is my first post here so I thought I would tell you a little bit about myself. This can and will be edited as my hyperfixations and interests change!

I am a Christian, and I am diagnosed autistic. I love dressing goth and whimsigoth because I love the music and I love the way the fashion looks. I am an artist and an aspiring author and fashion designer, and my interests include music, goth fashion, Monster High, dolls like LDD and Delilah Noir and BeGoths, vampires, thylacines, crows (the bird, not to be confused with the movie or comic, which I also love), The Crow 1994, Stranger Things, Die Hard, Gladiator II, Stardew Valley, Undertale, and going to concerts!
