Goethe war diesen Winter wieder sehr krank und leidet noch jetzt an den Folgen. Alles räth ihm, ein milderes Clima zu suchen und besonders dem hiesigen Winter zu entfliehen. Ich liege ihm sehr an, wieder nach Italien zu gehen, aber er kann zu keinem Entschluße kommen, er fürchtet die Kosten und die Mühseligkeiten, auch mögen ihn vielleicht andere Einflüße binden.
