I decided to rank the seven seasons of Bunk’d and wanted to share my reasoning with you all. Enjoy :)
Tumblr media
#7: Season 5 - Ok first what I do like about season 5: Noah and Ava’s friendship, the introduction of Parker, Kikiwaka Lore, Environmentalist Destiny. The rest is pretty firmly in the “leave it” category. For crying out loud there were three episodes where Lou, Noah and Matteo aren’t even at camp! Sadly I can’t say that I enjoyed any of the episodes. Sure there were pieces of most of them I liked (mainly Lou), but I wasn’t walking out of this season with any episodes I want to rewatch.
——————————
Tumblr media
#6: Season 4 - Lou as head of the camp is great, and I liked how they showed her struggles to switch from a counselor to owner mindset, I wish it was for more than just the first episode. I like Gwen, I think as the writers figured out her character more, the better she got. The birth of Environmentalist Destiny is great this season, and made me start to like her character. Camp Champion and Barb are just not interesting to me so I disliked that there were FIVE episodes dedicated to them. The two part Ravens Home episode was SO weird. The romance between Ava’s brother and Lou was cute and I wish it was maintained off screen for more than one episode. Lou deserves love, I hate how the running joke all seven seasons is that she is unloveable (but that is a rant for another time). The Renaissance episode was quirky and actually kinda fun. The MAYOR arc was GOAT (literally 🤣). Lou joining a Coven of witches obsessed with humus was hilarious.  And I loved that this season really focused on Moose Rump and the great Moosetropolotin area. It set up Dusty Tush in seasons 6/7 rather well.
——————————
Tumblr media
#5: Season 3 - Love the Rosses, did not love them running the camp. Glad we only got one season of it. Obviously I miss having the Ross kids around (I miss Karan’s performance the most), but the writers did an ok job writing their exit. Glad we got the opportunity to see Lou grow and all that Miranda brought to the character. If I had to sum up this season in one word it would be "meh".
——————————
Tumblr media
#4: Season 7 - Honestly I am tempted to tie this with season 2, but will put it the tiniest bit below because of how much of a let down the final episodes are. With the finale coming up this week I have to say that over all I am a bit let down. I was really looking forward to this season given how much I loved season 6 and the new characters… but this one just wasn’t it. I think what helped season 6 play so well was the structure of the treasure hunt, without it we lacked continuity and a sense of urgency. The wedding plot honestly felt forced and rushed to me. While I do agree that Victoria and Parker make each other better they’re still  not my favorite couple so having the last several episodes be centered fully on them is a let down to say the least. It’s also important to take into account the writers strike that happened halfway through production, splitting the season into 2. Still I want to give props to Shiloh, Alfred and Luke as they did a great job joining the established cast and making the audience fall in love them. Mallory, Israel and Trevor continued to do an awesome job this season and of course my girl Miranda knocked it out of the park with every performance.
——————————
Tumblr media
#3: Season 2 - Ranked this high because of how much I love the original cast. Though honestly I only really liked 14 out of the 21 episodes. Still I have a lot of nostalgia for this season and the episodes I did like I REALLY enjoyed! Plus it introduced us to Griff and developed more of the camp lore. The Kiki-Slasher episode in particular was hilarious and I loved the running Timmy bit through the first two seasons.
——————————
Tumblr media
#2: Season 1 - The Nostalgia!!! I love every episode this season. The character growth is top tier and humor is great! The writers were excited to create this new world for the actors to play in and I just really enjoyed early days Camp Kikiwaka. I will watch this season all the way through with no skips unlike all the others (excluding season 6). It is great to see Payton, Skai and Karan reprise their characters and launch this show. I love Miranda and Kevin’s characters. This season really is a sturdy and solid foundation for the rest of the show.
——————————
Tumblr media
My #1 Pick: Season 6 - Ok, I LOVE Winnie, Jake and Bill, they are my favorite of all the kids in every season. I adore seeing Destiny all grown up and her friendship with Noah is top tier. I love the new location. This is the season I have on repeat the most. The treasure hunt was a cute running plot. Lou is great this season and it is good to see Parker stepping up. I cannot speak highly enough of Shiloh, Alfred and Luke. They really stepped up to the plate and delivered great performances. All three of them are in my top eight Bunk’d characters (ranking coming soon).

The hugely popular Christian historical drama series The Chosen has released a trailer for its upcoming Christmas special, which is set to debut in theaters across the United States on December 12.
According to the official synopsis, the special will focus on the Nativity Story, showing Jesus’ birth through the eyes of Mary and Joseph. It will combine Christmas with The Chosen: Holy Night with the previous holiday special The Messengers and the show’s pilot episode, “The Shepherd,” into one remastered and re-scored story.
In addition, the special will include a never-before-seen performance from Andrea and Matteo Bocelli, featuring seven music performances and two new monologues.
“The Chosen Christmas special will have the authenticity and the magic of ‘The Shepherd’ matched with the production value, the caliber and the profound storytelling of The Messengers,” Katherine Warnock, vice president of original content at The Chosen, said in a statement.
youtube
Other performers featured in the special include Matt Maher, Brandon Lake, Zach Williams, One Voice Children’s Choir, Joy to the World, and the Bonner Family.
The show’s creator and director, Dallas Jenkins, told the Catholic News Agency that he wasn’t sure how the special would work. “We thought it might be clunky, and then it turned out beautifully,” he said.
“Even though the crew was different and the setting is different and the sets are all different and we had different levels of resources to work with, the story itself blended together beautifully,” Jenkins added. “We also took six of the performances from the first two specials that were the most resonant with viewers; we put them into this.”
He continued, “And we also have an exclusive performance from Andrea Bocelli, of all people, who’s one of the most beautiful voices in the history of the world, who performed ‘O Holy Night’ in Italy for this Christmas special.”
Tickets for the special go on sale on November 20 and can be purchased through Fathom Events. The show will be available in theaters from December 12 to December 17.
Jenkins said he hopes fans will go see the special in theaters because “it’s a really beautiful experience,” adding that it should “tide people over until Season 4.”
The Chosen started out as a crowdfunded project with new episodes released online via the show’s website. It has gone on to become one of the most-watched shows in the world, reaching over 600 million combined episode views. In June 2023, The CW bought the rights to air the first three seasons.
Season 4 of the hit drama is scheduled to be released in theaters in early 2024, with episodes 1 through 3 coming out on February 1, episodes 4 through 6 on February 15, and episodes 7 and 8 on February 29.

Matteo ‘Okay I messed up gotta think fast of explanation’
...But Jazmin already did came up with that couple, that also existed already so...
Jazmin didn’t mean it as joke, and also I see Simon buried possibilty of him and Luna being together so deeply he forgot they were together
‘Threes and one pair’ ...There are seven of you I don’t think that’s posssible Luna
...Wait why Alfredo is manager of Luna’s fortune?
You seriously shouldnt talk about these things in locker room
Ended with Luna being kissed without consent
First thing Nina: You were talking about it in locker room. You know Jazmin overheard you two when you were talking in locker room. Second thing: You told yourself that he probably realized that
‘It’s harder to force Jazmin to close her mouth than Eric to open his’ Hmm. Given how this seems to like ‘opposites attract’ trope Eric would make sense as Jazmin’s love interest
Ramiro bursting out laughing when Juliana criticized BenicioXD ...Also his shirt is saying ‘Let’s get lost’? Interesting
Shame that Gary isn’t hearing that and they are not really going to get Simon
Well if problem Benicio has is that he is looking at Emilia maybe he should actually close his eyes
Benicio and Emilia totally not believing Ambar could get info out of Simon while Luna and Nina being worried it could happen. When your enemies have more faith with you than your friends.
Ramiro ‘Silence is gold’
I started wondering. There aren’t any alive Luna’s familly from her biological dad side? Cause that was his fortune?
Lmao at Miguel and Monica’s reaction that Elena opened safe. ...Also Miguel like you are one to talk you stole something
Uhh I sometimes can’t focus on scene cause I’m like ‘I wanna drink what they drink’. Those things on table look so tasty
Do rest wonder why suddenly Matteo got so many free time when no so long ago he told he so completely doesn’t have it
Oh so Sharon told Ambar to do spy duty but now is happy she is doing soomething totally opposite to what she said her to do?
Sharon again telling her spy to spy on her another spy?
Why Pedro left Simon alone with Ambar when he knows Simon feels something for her isn’t he afraid he might slip up?...Maybe he can’t handle tension and prefer to risk
Why Ambar behaved her like they are together
Did Jazmin post this?
‘You always behave like this when you’re stressed by somehting’ rhymed. ...Also I forgot in previous episode ‘Are you with us or with losers’ rhymed. Hmm. So maybe that wasn’t only season two thing was there also lot of rhymes in season one and I didn’t notice
I know Matteo has other reasons to say that and he is only now making up this reason but yeah ‘You spend a lot time together lately is quite riddicolous thing to take as indication or relationship changing when these people spent lot of time together before
Benicio looks short next to Emilia. Okay to be fair she is wearing high heels
Now Gary tries to give Nico spy duty.
Nico accepted but I guess not really
How Rey is gonna explain that
Would they see Ramiro

Matteo - episode seven
Social media - I can’t really talk about this episode without talking about the social media.  Because it was so awful going through it in real time the first time and almost as bad this time.  This is one of those situations where we’re supposed to think at least two of the girls involved in the gossiping string of messages around Matteo’s sexuality (Hanna and Mia) are good and have Matteo’s best interests at heart.  But they are literally as bad as the others.  They don’t ‘know’ anything, but decide that somehow them sharing their suspicions about his sexuality will help him.  But in actuality they’re just feeding the gossip and deliberately outing someone without his permission and well before they actually know that he really is gay.  And actually, this is an issue across the board (with Skam as well, so this is another thing that has been brought through without consideration for what it means) - characters casually out each other all the time.  Matteo literally outs David to Jonas when they discuss why he’s been annoying, for example.  This is AFTER David made it clear that he wasn’t ready to be public with his affections.  For something that later makes it clear that Matteo shouldn’t be outing David as trans, they missed the point that we shouldn’t be outing people in any way.  And it’s worst with these messages.  Of course, we know that in the og these messages or some sort of gossip must have happened but we don’t see it play out in quite such a visceral way.  Seeing it play out, particularly when characters think they’re ‘good’ for outing someone, is really uncomfortable and the fact that Matteo (as the outed person) effectively reacts with a shrug suggests that the people who wrote this do not understand the nuances.  The fandom hurt really badly because of these messages because no thought was given to how this would feel in real time to people in the audience who aren’t out and whose fear is that they could be outed by others.
However, there are good things about the social media this week.  I particularly love Jonas’s messages to Matteo thanking him for telling him and expressing his support.  I also do love the way Sara’s post is used and how she updates and adapts it after Matteo starts to make amends with her.  I love the growth in character it shows as well as the way she takes Matteo’s advice to reach out to Leonie with her problems.  It really reinforces to me that Matteo and Sara would make really great friends.  They do have similarities, they care about each other and there’s a mutual respect when they get past ‘we should be kissing’ - I do hope they properly patched things up later and solidified this friendship.
Clip one - I really love this clip.  I think it’s partially to do with when it happens - Easter is such a time symbolic of new life and growth and change, and the fact that this moment hits at this time is beautiful.  Plus, the colours used are all warm and calming.  It’s really hard to describe but it feels lovely.  So, how is this gorgeous feeling achieved?  First, we start with the feathery thing and Matteo playing with it again.  This calls us back to when Matteo was playing with it just before everything fell down around him and makes absolute sense of why he’s all in his feels as he stares at the picture David gave him.  He rips it off the wall because it’s too much for him and I guess is super confusing about the way David is acting, but everything else in this scene is about reconnection with others.  Hanna via her little treat, Hans via the guru-ing, his mother via text and the discussion with Hans.  It’s all these little tendrils of connection Matteo is sending out into the world.  I adore the conversation with Hans, and I really love that while they do discuss David (and that’s ostensibly why Matteo wants the chat in the first place), it’s actually working through things around his mother that brings Matteo the most peace and makes him feel most connected.  I adore his relationship with his mother - it’s a lot more nuanced and has more depth than the one Isak has with his and there’s something lovely in his fears that she won’t understand him not necessarily because of religion or anything but because of her illness.  And the way Hans brings him some hope and then Matteo is able to recognise that she is getting help and things may not be as bad as he thinks.  It sets us up for when he tries to tell her in person that he’s in love with a boy.  Then the ending when they light candles and leave the church is beautiful.
Of course, I also do love the stuff about David as well.  ‘I can’t believe it’ Matteo says when he talks about David’s seeming rejection, and it really shows exactly where his head is at.  He can’t bring himself to accept that everything they shared together was fake, particularly when David keeps up contact with pictures, and then Hans’ response to Matteo’s fears: ‘You can’t force him to stand up for himself; he has to do it alone.”  It really speaks to the whole message of the series - figuring yourself out, working out how to be that self in a space which can seem threatening and hostile, is the character’s alone.  That’s as true for Matteo as it is for David.  And it’s absolutely the right advice.  Matteo can’t live David’s life for him; he can only live his own.  And it’s after this that Matteo’s attention turns to his mother and how he can live his truth with her.  The way all the parts of this clip and its message work together really is just lovely.  It helps that it’s long and every part has space to breathe.
Clip two - Another example of Matteo rebuilding the bridges he’s burned over the last couple of weeks.  Again, I like that this episode took place around Easter.  The idea that new growth and renewal and a resurrection into a new self is possible works really well thematically in this one.  And here we have Matteo again using food to nurture, and then Amira nurtures him right back with the baklava.  It’s nice.  And I like that here we see the relationship Matteo and Amira have in a really clear way.  They both effectively apologise to each other without actually using the words at all.  Matteo does it by showing just how ready he is to work and study and how much care and thought he’s put into both the space they’re in and the preparation for their study session.  Amira does it by casually referencing how homosexuality is a necessary part of life.  Neither of them actually explicitly lays out what they’re doing, but both extend an olive branch to the other around things they did or said that hurt the other person.  And by the end of it they’re both willing to accept the apologies as given.  Matteo even literally thanks Amira and it’s very clear he’s not thanking her for the information-as-study-notes she pretends it is.  That they have a solid enough relationship that this sort of silent communication can happen is really lovely, and I love this twist on the Isak/Sana connection
Clip three - I adore the way this clip works in terms of the boys as well.  Again, Matteo’s solution for making it up to the boys is to offer food and drink.  The more comfortable he is in being genuine, the more genuine his food offerings become.  Compare this to the way he was with Sara earlier and we can see that he’s a lot more comfortable in his own skin.  I’m still really furious about the whole ‘Kiki says you’re gay’ thing and how there’s still no acknowledgement that all this gossip is harmful even if it’s well meaning.  But at least the boys actually ask Matteo, I guess.  Putting the ball in his court and allowing him to give his side is good.  But I don’t like the way that ‘you always told us you’re into chicks’ wasn’t used as a moment to explore that actually either a) not realising you’re gay until after you’ve tried with the opposite gender or b) not being willing to tell others about your true sexuality are just as valid as ‘well then he’s probably bi or pan’ - this is of course another thing that has been brought through from the og, but in both cases the third option is likely the least correct one and yet both shows effectively tell us it’s the MOST likely one.  Anyway, I love that the boys are so chill about it all - like, eh Matteo was a dick but hey he’s offering food so it’s all good now.  He apologised, they accepted it and everyone moved on.  It’s nice.
Clip four - probably one of my favourites of the season tbh.  I just really adore that Matteo finally understands Sara and her PoV once he allows himself to really connect with the way he’s feeling about David.  We know David’s reasons for being hot and cold with Matteo are totally different to the way Matteo is with Sara and yet the effect on the two is similar.  And the way he gets there is lovely too.  He starts with a recognition that while he’s been ‘cleaning up his act’ emotionally with all these people in his life, Matteo actually also needs to do it physically in his own space.  And he makes a really good job of it, he’s thorough and he clearly feels better as he makes his space look nicer.  But then we get the slowed down, emotional moment when he picks up the pillow that David used and he falls right back into everything he’s been feeling.  And it’s while he’s wrapped up in that moment that he’s able to make the connection to Sara and how he’s treated her and so begins probably the most important conversation in this episode.  Matteo finally a) apologises to Sara for his behaviour and b) actually tries to reach her as a friend on a genuine and real level.
Again, in a way that works for me when Emma didn’t, Sara recognises and accepts that Matteo was shitty but has a right to his own life, and in her own way tries to ‘set him free’ by asking about how things are with David.  I just love the genuine connections they share here.  He’s able to tell her that all he’d wanted was to fit in and be ‘normal’ without having to explain himself (but that it was shitty to her) and she’s able to finally tell him the things that have been bothering her for weeks.  It’s sad actually that the fandom never really understood Sara and just reacted as if everything she did was over the top and ridiculous given the timelines of their relationship.  They fail to remember a) that she was being strung along by Matteo who was often actively using her and thus was definitely confusing the situation so she could build it up unrealistically and b) that she was dealing with all this stuff with her family without support from anyone her own age and at a time when her parents will have been concerned about their own things.  She couldn’t tell Leonie, she didn’t tell Matteo and so she was desperately trying to use this relationship to patch over everything else that was going on for her.  It’s totally understandable, realistic and heartbreaking.  I feel very sorry for Sara here.  She’s small and weak and vulnerable and only wanted some love and affection, to feel like she had some small ‘good’ thing in a world that was falling apart for her.  I really like that she’s wearing the same outfit here as she was in her angry and aggressive post.  It connects the two things in a way that enhances the impact when she changes the description.  They leave not best friends as yet, but with a hope (as expressed by Matteo) that they can grow from here and have a genuine friendship.
Clip 5 - Another clip that’s given some time and space to breath.  This has always been the strength of Skam and its remakes - that the small moments are able to take up space in a way that they often aren’t in ‘bigger’ shows.  I love that finally Matteo is able to casually listen to, and even join in on, discussions about sex.  He’s still on the periphery to some extent and that’s still part of his character.  He’s never going to be the outgoing ‘in the middle of the party’ person, but he’s comfortable in a way he really wasn’t earlier in the season.  Part of his comfort, of course, is that he’s been open to the boys now and they know what’s up with David.  As with Skam, they’re charmingly invested in his relationship and want to try to help him out.  I love that they’re all finally on the same page - these boys have tried across the whole season to be there for Matteo in this way and he’s kept on rejecting them (and then acting as if they were shitty friends) because they kept on targeting the wrong thing.  But now that he’s open and they know who he’s trying to deal with, he’s ready and willing to take on board their advice.  I also love how this was changed to suit Matteo.  The whole ‘straight up, no smiley’ thing disappears and in its place is more of the whole ‘when I felt this way, I did this’ thing that Jonas in particular has used to good effect with Matteo.  Making him feel like he’s part of the crew in this specific way (eg that the other have similar experiences and can help that way) is what this character needs.  Isak needed something different (more of a ‘we’re all blokey blokes together’ thing) and I do absolutely adore that scene with him and his guys, but it wouldn’t have worked with Matteo who has always been a more sensitive and emotional character than Isak.
And of course the scene when David arrives.  For obvious reasons this scene can’t go the way the one with Isak and Even did, but what I love is that it fits with Matteo’s character.  For Isak it was always big, sexy emotions and desire.  For Matteo, it has always been about yearning for connection and companionship.  He has never been wanting sex in the way Isak kind of always did (even if girls never really did it for him) and so it’s natural that it wouldn’t happen here.  There is still protection of David’s secret, which is the point, but it’s done in a way that makes sense for Matteo.  And actually, the tension and relief in this scene is huge.  Relief because obviously we and Matteo (finally!!!!) saw David again after 15 long long days and tension because the last shot is of his face crumpled in something that looks like pain.  It’s blatantly obvious that something big is coming and soon.  Both Even and David respond to an ultimatum but their reactions are different and from here on out obviously the stories do change quite a lot just because of their different experiences.  It’s clear that Even thought he could bluster his way through the situation, while David knows he has to be honest.  And we can already see on his face just how hard that is going to be.

I haven’t seen anyone else pointing this out really, but did anyone notice the parallel between Saturday’s clip and the first Abiball clip? I mean, they were both clips about Mia and Alex, and their relationship, which I guess isn’t a huge parallel, but to me having a Saturday morning Winterberg clip again really parallels the Abiball episode, which makes me think that maybe today we’ll have a Davenzi clip, since the next Abiball clip was Matteo studying for his retest with David

just gonna leave the following facts here:
the queer party event today is called “holy rainbow night” a pun for the christmas song “oh holy night” which we know is “oh helga natt” in norwegian
since the trailer dropped, people have been making comparisons between matteo and isi, not necessarily as mains but more as how similar their trailers were (flashing matteo/ismail in yellow and black, quotes/phrases on screen, trailer literally being clips of characters from previous season talking about matteo/ismail)
the gig starts at nine which gives them the opportunity to do an ohn paralell/21:21.
this is season seven episode nine and ohn happened in season three episode nine

Favorite moments that aren't berlermo
Bogota telling everyone he meets about his seven kids, and when he speaks to them using the 'name-country' thing on TV
Bogota deciding in less than a second to fuck with Matteo amd everyone jumping on the wagon
Bogota manhandling Andrés over the ship and Martín just watches lol
Tatiana telling Andrés he became too boring for her
TOKYO AND SERGIO
Es pianista... Y LADRONAAAAAAA
Selfish bastard Andrés wiping his own tears and telling Rafael to be happy, then waiting only after they leave to break down and gives them zero repercussions for their betrayel
Andrés canonically losing the spark and life in him after giving up the plan
Sergio loving his brother so much that he goes back to "fixing" his heist a day after he finished his own heist because of how much Andrés had loved it
Sergio breaking is one *major* rule and telling Martín the entire ending of the plan even though Martín was going to be inside the bank
Denver walking out of the bank and the people cheering for him outside
Martín on his knees beside Sergio but raising his chin like he's the one holding the guns.
Sagasta and Martín smoking in the rain and speaking about "their men" and why they're here
Monver returning their faith in their love by paralleling how they fell in love in the first place
Andrés seeing men he admires and his immediate thought is 'I'd fuck his wife/sister' to neutralize the gay
Sergio screaming about his brother's idiocity, and Martín, who knows his idiocity so well confirms that yes, indeed, this is something Andrés would 100% do.
The look Denver shares with Martín and Monica when he doesn't betray them; how thankful Martín looks.
Andrés singing horribly in the helicopter. I love him your honor
Andrés having a semi-maniac episode, mentally breaking down and Sergio stares at him with that look™, we the audience knowing that Andrés dies in the mint.
The parallel between Andrés telling Sergio that he will do his heist with him and that they should start and Sergio returning to plan the missing places of his brother's heist the day he returned from his.
Andrés break down at the bar being shot like a 2000s music video where you have no idea what's happening, specially the grape part.
Sergio's hug with Denver paralleling when he hugged him in the mint when he entered and Moscow had died.
Sergio and Alicia's entire adventure but mostly the part when he carried Victoria and climbed down the window with her.
Denver being jealous and angry that Monica's psychotic break includes Arturito but still assures her that he 100% believes that it's real for her. He's not dilluting her struggle nor diminishing her pain, no he's only bothered Arturito is there. I love one (1) man SO MUCH
Bogota continuing his mission of giving Denver, specificially, the absolute worst relationship and parental advices and every time acting like he's imparting the greatest of wisdom.

If you're still picking favorites from movie and tv shows, can you do Druck?
Ah, yes, my baby, my beloved, and my current favourite teen show, Druck. I need to talk about Druck after watching the first four episodes of Elite's season 4 (this is literally a spiritual cleansing for me).
Favourite male character: Matteo. Usually, I'm not a big fan of Isaks. I always found him a bit annoying and thought that he didn't suffer the consequences of his actions. I didn't expect to like Matteo, but I did. While I liked him in season 2 more than I ever liked an Isak during that time, I loved him in his season. His journey was beautiful to watch and I loved how more closed off he seemed compared to other Isaks. I related to him a lot when it came to his mental health as, during that time, I was having a pretty shitty time too. I was upset that he was never shown to get help (who am I to judge? I never got help either)
Favourite female character: My girl, Nora Machwitz. I absolutely adore her. She was such a breath of fresh air when she was first introduced. I didn't know what to expect of her, but I loved how she turned out to be. Her progression in her season was chef's kiss. Btw, Fatou and Ava are close seconds.
Least favourite character: Constantin. Get that Discount Draco Malfoy out of my screen.
Prettiest character: Everyone is so pretty. I can't choose.
Funniest character: Thinking about it, Druck isn't really that funny. The only one to come up in my mind is Hans.
Favourite season: Season 5. No argument. You can't change my mind. It was amazing. Best Skamverse season.
Favourite episode: Episode 6 of season 6. This episode had everything. It had the Kieutou museum date, Cashqueens goofing around, the pink bathroom scene, THAT clip of Fatou struggling with Physics and Q2 getting together at the end. No wonder episode seven seemed so messy. After all, it followed this great episode.
Favourite romantic ship: In a show where you have Davenzi, Mazzouk, Spiderwitz and Kieutou, you can't make me choose one. I will choose ALL of them.
Favourite family ship: The Machwitz sisters.
Favourite friendship: Cashqueens. I'm so done with people calling them bad friends. They are a newly formed friend group of teenage girls. Give them a break. Of course, it's going to take time for them to adjust to each other. It's not easy having friends. I also honestly believe that they are one of the best friend groups in all Skamverse (I have a soft spot for the girlsquad in Skam Esp to say Cashqueens are the best).
Worst ship: Constantin/Ismail. If Druck goes that route, I will simply stop watching.

Part two to this post that no one asked for-
There are smiles of Mikuni's that remind Jeje of someone, though he can not quite place who that someone is.
These are the ones that are most meaningful, the ones that Mikuni lets show unfiltered, un-tempered with hidden plans or ulterior motive; a purely honest smile that reaches from the corners of his gently curved lips up to his eyes, melting them from cold steel to sun warmed gold. They are Jeje's favorites, even though he could probably count the number of times he's seen them in the years they've been together on just two hands.
There were other things about Mikuni that rang familiar, like a church bell in the foggy morning, but Jeje didn't like to think too deeply about things like that. The past was best left where it was for unchangeable things would only ever bring stasis and suffering to the soul. All of this would run occasionally through his mind, incorporeal, idle musings that held no sway over his mood, and he would let them, carefully keeping his distance until they had once more passed. It remained this way until one morning when he glanced towards the kitchen doorway after hearing Mikuni give a frustrated shout.
"Damn it!" He yelled once more for good measure, staring down at the pancake he had been attempting to catch in the pan, and missed by a good three feet, sending batter splattering across the floor.
Jeje turned back to his ship, hiding the tiny smile that hovered over his lips. He had warned him that it was more difficult than it looked.
"What do you say we just skip the pancakes?" Mikuni asked boisterously, coming to lean in the doorway, arms crossed as he watched Jeje work. "And call a maid service."
Still fighting the telltale look of amusement, Jeje kept his head down, back bent over the miniature, and Mikuni huffed in annoyance. When, after seven stitches along the sail, he still hadn't returned to the kitchen, Jeje sighed and finally glanced back at him. "I'm not hungry."
"You're never hungry!" Mikuni accused, throwing his hands up. "Well, I need coffee at least." But he made no move to turn back and instead his eyes shifted to the small sail held so carefully in Jeje's hand and he grinned, that snarky, unwelcome grin that Jeje found so grating. "So, what's with the tiny boats anyway?"
He asked it as a slight, as a harmless poke at Jeje as he was so wont to do whenever he was feeling inadequate or embarrassed and normally Jeje let these roll off his back, forgiving the youth their ignorance, but something about the question was sharp and quick. It took aim and hit a memory that Jeje had not even known he had lost. As he sat, staring unseeingly at Mikuni, he felt the small needle and canvas square fall from his hands, and Mikuni's gaze shifted from teasing to a curious worry as he watched but Jeje could not find his tongue to redirect the situation.
A name had hit him with the force of a bullet. A soft, lilting name that he had not said or heard in over four centuries.
Matteo.
Matteo had taught him the infuriating art of bottling ships.
All at once, as though it had been a floodgate that had suddenly been thrown open, everything that had been repressed came flowing back, drowning him in the fear and rage and hurt again. So heavy and loud were the waves of emotion that it was several times before he heard Mikuni call his name and when he finally pulled himself back up, resurfaced from beneath the crushing weight of failure and regret, it was to find Mikuni crouched in front of him, brows twisted in unease, hands resting on his stiff shoulders.
"Are you ok?"
If he had been any more in his right mind, Jeje would have found it absolutely staggering to hear such a simple, caring question directed at him, but as it was, he was not capable of thought, and so he merely stared blankly back into the wild golden eyes and tried to decide if he was actually going to throw up.
With all the force of will left in his body he managed finally to breath a weak "yeah" and then could only pray Mikuni would lose interest, his ever busy mind discarding the experience as inconsequential. At first it seemed that Mikuni was going to ask another question, try to dig deeper into the newly unearthed, bloody remains of Jeje's sanity, but after a moment his eyes darted away, back towards the kitchen, and he stood, letting his hands fall from where they rested.
"Get ready to go. I wanna go into town for a cappuccino."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
The fresh morning air was welcome and helped to clear his head.
It was rather sunny and so he had finally given up the effort and simply wrapped himself around Mikuni's neck as he so often did, secretly reveling in the warmth. Mikuni's endless chatter also helped to soothe him and soon enough he was dozing off, having learned long ago that listening to anything Mikuni said with any amount of concentration was pointless. It was better to just get the gist, check out, and then when prompted, respond affirmatively.
Times like this, times without subterfuge and scheming and fighting were his favorite and Jeje always tried to keep the feeling of them bundled up tightly and safely where he could access it again later. He grew so tired of the constant warring, and, if he were being honest, a content, safe Mikuni was far better than a frigid, angered one. This Mikuni, like the one that made pancakes sometimes and liked lavender scented candles and would play solitaire and drink coffee all morning, was softer and gentler, less likely to poke and prod and be generally annoying. It was definitely Jeje's favorite version, but he was so very unusual to see.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It seemed that Mikuni had taken more note of Jeje's strange episode than he had let on for it soon became apparent that he was suggesting more and more early morning walks with badly concealed concern, his tone light and fake as he insisted that the coffee shop downtown was better and he just simply couldn't bare to have anything else.
"You are so dramatic." Jeje sighed finally, standing in defeat and tucking the small book he had been reading back into his pocket. "Let's go."
"What is that?" Mikuni asked, his eyes tracking the movement of Jeje's hands as he retied the cinch at his waist.
"What is what?"
"That little book."
Jeje hesitated, it was rare for Mikuni to show any interest in anything Jeje did at all aside from the occasional mad inquiry, and when he found genuine interest in Mikuni's expression, he gave in and pulled the book free once more. Holding it out for Mikuni to take, he started towards the door. "I'll tell you on the way."
It wasn't until several blocks later that he finally began to explain, glancing over and watching as Mikuni browsed the first few pages of the little directory. "It is a book of-"
"Names!" Mikuni interrupted, eyes still glued to the tiny text. "But they're odd."
"They are predominantly Italian." When Mikuni only raised a brow in question, he continued. "Genealogies of Vatican City, and any related diocese."
"Uh huh." Mikuni hummed skeptically. "And why are you reading this? Is this what your little errand was the other day? You went to the library?"
Jeje did not dignify this with a response, deciding he had said enough. There was no need to explain that he had been- was- desperately scouring any and all census sheets, service rosters, anything he could find, for the name Matteo Rossi. It wasn't anything he wanted to explain even if he could figure out a way to. But Mikuni was clever, dangerously so, and soon he was watching Jeje, the book still clutched in his hands.
"Who are you looking for?"
Closing his eyes, Jeje sighed. It was no use trying to keep anything from Mikuni, he knew this, had relied until now on his inherent disinterest in anything about him to protect him from prying eyes, but as was always the case with such a troublesome man, he had decided at exactly the wrong time to become invested. "A man I used to know."
A strange emotion passed over Mikuni's face, one that Jeje could not quite place, as though he were painfully curious but angry, and he flipped the book closed, handing it back. "How typical." When Jeje did not answer, he pointed out over the street. "That's the shop I'm trying today, come on."
The sky had been over cast when they left and was still obligingly dark and so it was that Jeje was following along on his own two feet today. When he had just stepped up to the curb across the street he heard it- the soft, musical voice of someone speaking quick, fluent Italian. It struck some secret place deep in his mind and without thinking he froze, eyes searching the crowd, somehow knowing, feeling it in his gut that- yes- just in front of them, sitting in the cozy little veranda chairs of the very coffee shop that Mikuni had set his heart on, were two men. Each was dressed in long black robes, the telltale vestments laid carefully over their shoulders- Jeje would know the look anywhere- with steaming mugs of drink clutched in their hands, but it wasn't the dress of the men that caught his eye, but the shining autumn brown of the youngers hair, soft and constant looking as though he had just stepped from out of a summer storm.
In a daze, Jeje found himself walking towards the table where the men sat, unsure why he was even approaching. When he came to rest at the very edge of their table, both glanced quizzically up at him and he was suddenly terrified. They could not see his face, and it would not matter if they could or not either way surely, but what of his soul? Could they sense it? None had ever before but that had been years, centuries, ago.
"Is there something we can help you with?" The younger one asked brightly, smiling. The other man threw him a vaguely disgruntled look and Jeje could have laughed.
Of course. Matteo always was a bleeding heart.
Jeje felt Mikuni's curiosity pull at him through the contract, sharp and impatient, but he ignored it, and for the first time in all the recent years, spoke without the use of the illusionary magic of his curse, the words fitting like a glove on his tongue, a language he had never thought to need again. “No. I’m sorry, Father.”
"Ah! It is always so nice to hear a familiar language, no?" He responded in Italian as well now and Jeje felt the eons slide away, leaving him oddly bereft and exposed.
Mikuni's curiosity had spiked, tinted now with an almost violent irritation, when he had failed to understand what Jeje had said and, fearlessly, he barged suddenly forward, putting himself too closely to Jeje's elbow, staring down at the men. "Who is this?"
At his words, the young mans brows rose in subtle amusement and he once more smiled. "I am Father Matthias." He said, holding out a hand.
Jeje had never been more tempted to shoot Mikuni on the spot then when he merely snorted, arms crossed defiantly across his chest and refused the offer. To his credit, Matthias seemed unfazed by this and after a moment glanced at Jeje and extended the same hand. It was with great trepidation, nay, an almost debilitating hesitation, that he finally reached out and clasped it in his own.
It was like any other hand, warm and smooth; there was no shock, no angry gods lightning strike, just a simple handshake. Unsure if he was disappointed or relieved, he withdrew his and swallowed nervously. Why had he approached these men? What did he hope to accomplish? This was not truly Matteo, and never would be. There had been no spark of recognition in his soft brown eyes, no sudden flash of memory or past life. He should not have come over here. He should walk away right now, spare himself the anguish and the tangible building of Mikuni's wrath. He should-
"Why don't you have a seat?" Matthias asked, gesturing to the two empty seats at the table. "We just got here and like I said, it's always nice to hear the mother tongue!"
He sat down, not thinking, acting on impulse, and behind him heard Mikuni make a strangled noise of outrage. Not bothering to wonder if he would throw a fit and run away or not, he turned towards the other man and held out his hand.  "It's a pleasure to meet you."
After staring at him for a moment, he put out his hand as well, meeting him in the middle, wrapping calloused, short fingers over his. "Father Angelo."
Matthias clapped him on the shoulder and laughed. "You're always so dour!"
Jeje's heart, already beating at an irregular, surely unhealthy, tempo, sped up and he barely kept the gasp building in his chest from breaking free and falling garishly on the table in front of everyone. Hands clamped unseen on his thighs, he bit his tongue until he tasted blood and struggled to stay afloat.
"So what are you two supposed to be?" Mikuni asked suddenly, apparently having decided that his curiosity outweighed his annoyance. Leaning forward on the table, arms crossed, he tipped his head to indicate the deep purple stole that lay over their shoulders. "Priests?"
"Obviously." Jeje muttered under his breath, earning a kick to his ankle from Mikuni who continued to smile predacious-ly across the table.
"Correct!" Matthias said, pointing down at his robes.
"We're exorcists." Angelo then cut in, watching Mikuni as though waiting for a specific reaction.
He had feared it. In seeing the collars and rosaries, Jeje had come to the conclusion that they must be so, but had held out a vain hope, a desperate plea, that he was wrong, had simply forgotten even more than he originally thought he had lost to the sands of time. It had been a surprise to find that, when he had met those familiar warm, kind eyes, he had felt no anger, no hatred or loathing, just a simple yearning and pitiful nostalgia. Now, sneaking a look at Matthias as he leaned forward, immune to Mikuni's prickly aura, to explain their reason for being here, Jeje realized that he also was not shocked that, in a world such as this, where he could be ripped from the mortal plain so easily, where werewolves and demons and vampires were real, he did not find it at all hard to believe that reincarnation was also a fact of life.
"So tell me!" Matthias turned to Jeje, expression open and friendly. "Your pronunciation is beautiful! Where did you grow up?"
"Ah. I was from... Vatican City." He stumbled over the name, distracted by the increasingly interested looks Mikuni was giving him; no doubt he would be paying for this when they got home. Throwing caution to the winds, he continued, trying to keep his voice audible despite his nerves. "I studied. In the seminary. There."
"You don't say!" Matthias exclaimed, grinning. "What stopped you?"
Still studiously ignoring Mikuni's quiet, varying sounds of surprise, he hesitated, chest tight. "I was- not suited to the calling."
His eyes softening in compassion, Matthias laid a hand on Jeje's arm where it rested on the table. "I'm sorry, I shouldn't have asked. We all have different fates. There are many ways to answer Him."
Jeje was staring down at the hand, the gentle fingers and pale expanse of skin, just as freckled as his face, and it was only when Mikuni subtly dug a boot into his ankle that he tore his eyes away. Feeling his face heat and for just a moment forgetting that they could not see it, he ducked his head down. "That may be true, yes." He managed to murmur. Matthias withdrew his hand slowly, looking curious but didn't say anything, and it was, strangely, Mikuni who broke the ensuing silence.
"As I'm sure you've both surmised, I am not from Italy. But I am interested- tell me, how does one go about becoming a priest?" He was staring hard at Angelo, singling him out to answer and leaving Matthias free, amused and trying not to laugh, to turn to Jeje once more.
Still grinning, he shrugged to indicate that he had no intentions of rescuing Angelo from Mikuni's rabid questioning and instead leaned over, pointing at the bag over Jeje's head. "Forgive me, as you've already seen I have a tendency to stick my foot in my mouth-" He laughed and Jeje almost gave himself away, almost let slip a wistful "I know", and then continued. "But I wanted to ask. Why do you have that on?"
A hand reaching up unconsciously to pat lightly at the brown pressed pulp, Jeje bit his lip. What kind of explanation even made sense? He couldn't possibly claim he was embarrassed, what kind of human wore a paper bag over their head anyway? Mikuni sure made fun of it often enough. But the truth, that he was ashamed, that his heart fluttered in panic at the very thought of anyone that had ever known him seeing his face after he had become this monstrous betrayal to his every faith and belief, was no more an option than saying he simply liked it. All of a sudden he realized it had taken him too long to answer and Matthias' brow was creasing in worry and before Jeje could stop himself, just wanting to wipe the anxious look from his face, he blurted the first thing that came to mind. "My eyes. They're... frightening."
"Is that all?!" Matthias exclaimed. "My friend, you have nothing to fear here. I have seen all you can imagine. Why don't you remove it? Just for the rest of our lunch?"
Never would he have dreamed of doing it, never would he have allowed himself the foolish indulgence, but he wasn't given the choice. Like an unexpected flash of lightning, Mikuni reached over and, pinching the very corner of the bag carefully between his fingers, whipped it off. As his hair fluttered down and free across his shoulders, Jeje turned to stare accusingly at Mikuni, the sudden anger he felt frightening, but froze when he was met with a somber, sparkling gold gaze. Without a word, Mikuni gently folded the bag up and laid it on the table, placing his arm securely over it, and looked back to Angelo, expression bland as though he had never looked away.
"It seems your companion doesn't think you need it either." Matthias said brightly when Jeje had finally found the courage to glance over.
"Either?"
"I don't see anything strange." He said levelly, eyes wide in sincerity as they looked straight into Jeje's red ones. "Now, with the fresh air, what do you say we get something warm? I've always found stew to be a good outdoor food."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It would seem strange to Jeje for the rest of his existence that Matthias had not said anything, not mentioned the devil in his eyes or the unnatural pallor to his skin, but it was something that, like all the other somethings, he preferred not to think about. A simple memory that could warm or chill depending on the lens it was viewed through. Now, months, years, centuries later, glancing over and finding Mikuni perched beside him on the couch, tongue between his teeth as he tried, enraged, to fit the sail he had sewn through the neck of the bottle, he thought that maybe that wasn't such a bad thing.
"You must fol-"
"I know already!" Mikuni snapped, almost dropping his hold on the tweezers. "You've told me! Why do you do this?! It's infuriating!"
"It was a comfort."
Lowering the bottle and peering over, Mikuni hummed thoughtfully. "A comfort from what?"
The question surprised Jeje, still so unlike Mikuni it was to ask, and so he didn't think before he answered. "From the fear and tedium."
"Fear of God?"
Unsure if it was jest or genuine, Jeje merely sighed, looking away, out the bay window to the porch over which he could see the afternoon sun sinking lower and lower, towards the horizon line of the new city they had found. "Fear of failure."
"How could you fail?"
Hiding the small smirk as it crossed, fleetingly, over his lips, Jeje shrugged before reaching out and taking the bottle from Mikuni. "Is it not obvious that I did?"
"Who was that man? Really."
His tone was low, leaving no room to avoid, and Jeje frowned. He had been afraid that Mikuni would bring it up again. When they had parted ways, leaving the two ill fated priests at the café, he had watched Jeje like a hawk, refusing to let him out of his sight for the next forty eight hours and finally, at his breaking point, Jeje had resorted to his snake form, knowing in that at least, his expression was indecipherable. Mikuni, out of character, had not said anything about it, only made sure that Jeje was wrapped around his neck wherever they went. If he hadn't know better he would have thought, indulged in the idea, that Mikuni was actually worried he might disappear, running off to find the ruins of his past. Whether it was emotion or simple self preservation that motivated this intense vigil didn't matter. It was just nice to know that if he were there or not mattered in the slightest.
"He was..." He trailed off, unsure how to explain. Knowing in his heart, dead as it may be, that it had been Matteo, was different than saying it out loud. And in the end, he still wasn't sure he even wanted the truth to be heard. Matteo was never going to be safe, never have the life he truly deserved, because somewhere along the line his soul had been so ensnared with the evil he had ignorantly summoned he was now fated for a path that Jeje could do nothing about.
Eventually, tenacity fueled by their meeting, Jeje had managed to dig up a roster that listed one Father Matteo Rossi. He had lived in the same seminary, the same time; there was no question. The aged little book, now clutched worryingly tightly in Jeje's hands, had gone on to say that Father Matteo, upon his ordainment had chosen to branch out and been quite successful, listed as one of the Vatican's top exorcists. He had had few partners, often going alone, choosing places and people far removed from their home, leaving with little expectation to return, only to do so, shocking those that had bid him farewell. Viewed fondly by all who met or knew of him, his reputation had brought him fame and status, though it appeared it was never something he made use of. In the end, after fifteen or so odd years, he had met his end, and that's where the information had abruptly cut off. In a fit, Jeje had hunted up everything even remotely related that he could find, well aware he would regret knowing the details but needing them all the same.
When he had finally returned home that day he had slid beneath the couch, finding the heat register that ran along the wall and curling up on it. Mikuni had already dragged him through the coals about his daily excursions to the library and now, after what he had found out, he wasn't sure, even being immortal, that he could survive another sarcastic tongue lashing. He must have dozed off because it was here that Mikuni found him, hours later, and after pushing the couch back, pulled him free.
"You should have known better than to go digging." Was all he said, wrapping Jeje around his neck and wandering back to the bedroom.
Now, weeks later, he seemed to have deemed it a once more breachable topic and yet Jeje was still unable to answer him. Perhaps it was simply that there was no answer; there never had been. "He was a friend." He said plainly.
Watching Mikuni consider this response, he wondered if maybe this was, in itself, an answer, that the similarities between them, that spark of sass and fire, the innate ability to annoy, the quick silver smiles like honeyed light, were all that mattered, if that, in Mikuni, Matteo and Jeje himself, might be able to find forgiveness. Mikuni finally turned to him, mouth open to say something but Jeje interrupted, freeing the words that had lay buried so deeply for so long before he could even decide not to.
"I think you're my fate."
Druck Season 4 Thoughts and Expectations for Season 5
So I’m officially done with the first generation of Druck. Without diving in too deep into comparsions I would say that I’ve definitely preferred Druck’s handling of its first generation compared to France’s handling of it. Two out of four good seasons (Druck seasons 2-3) as opposed to two out of five (France’s 4-5)? Druck wins this one. We’ll see how I feel about Druck’s second generation soon enough.
As for this season specifically...eh. While it was definitely better than Amira N.’s season over in the Spanish version it wasn’t as good as Imane’s season over in France. I’m gonna be honest, the Spanish version is the only one where I cared about the romance and even then they fucked it up. In short, season fours seem to fail at romance no matter how well written they are in general.
The one thing I like about this season is that I felt like they did right by Amira, maybe even more than France did for Imane. While it was obviously wrong for her to lash out at Kiki the way she did I love that they allowed her to call out the Islamophobia that Muslims face and that her friends stood up for her in the beach scene. I also love that Kiki didn’t hold Amira lashing out against her and that they were able to reconcile relatively quickly.
The biggest problem with the season though is that nearly a third of it isn’t really about Amira? Less than that if you count the Aiball as part of the season rather than a special. Speaking of which, I enjoyed the special. It was a good end to Matteo’s story and had some decent setup for the earlier portion of Amira’s. Still, did we really need to dedicate two episodes to Hanna and Mia? I get that counting the special as part of the season means Matteo also got his own episode so they clearly wanted to give episodes to all four leads but if you don’t count the special not only did Matteo get the short end of the stick but that’s two episodes of content that could’ve gone to Amira. Mia and Alex being together and Hanna getting back together with Jonas both could’ve been relayed through Amira (Speaking of which us Spain fans were robbed. Hanna and Jonas get back together but Eva and Jorge didn’t? Wack.). Hell, they could’ve even gotten rid of those episodes and give us a seven episode season. Sure it would’ve been a short season but I’d find that less annoying than what we got.
As for next season I know only two things. Namely that Kiki’s sister is the main character so I’m expecting Kiki, Carlos, and maybe Sam (Though Sam might be a stretch.) to be part of the supporting cast next season. I’ve also seen people mention Fatou’s love interest being a bully back when season six was airing as well as a comparison between Tiff, Kato, and said love interest. Though Tiff was apparently worse. So I guess next season might have  a bullying storyline? I’m curious to see how that’s handled and ties into things since I know this character (Kieu My?) is getting some redemption in season six.
The first generation of Druck was an enjoyable, if not bumpy, ride. Looking forward to seeing how the second generation goes.
Yuri!!! on ice as irl skaters (part 1???)
Its 2020 and I miss yoi so here are my personal headcanons about which irl skater the you cast skate &/or act like because why the hell not.
(photos at the bottom of the post because I couldn't get the format to work the way I wanted it to)
Yuri Katsuki ➡️ Boyang Jin (China)/Evgenia Medvedeva (Russia)
Yes, 2 people because PARALLELS.
So my reason for saying Yuri is like Boyang is because, his step sequences are always gorgeous and his jumping power, oofttttt, and that one scene where Yuri tries a jump and lands in the wall, you know the one. Boyang Jin is known for jumping super close to the boards and scaring the hell out of us all, seriously, just watch one of his skates, it's amazing and terrifying. Also Boyang is a bit of a nerd and Yuri is canonicaly pretty into video games, nuff said.
Boyang is a two-time World bronze medalist (2016–2017), the 2018 Four Continents champion, a two-time Four Continents silver medalist (2016, 2019), the 2017 Asian Winter Games silver medalist, and a five-time (2014–2017, 2019) Chinese national champion.
Evgenia however, this is more of a parallel in how her 2018/19 season went and how Yuri kinda flopped. Zhenya had a crappy start to the 18/19 season, she'd just switched coaches and mover halfway across the world, for the 1st time in her senior career she didn't make the gpf. However by the end of the season she had bounced back and won bronze at worlds and my god what a skate that fp was. Remind you of anyone huh???
Evgenia has a lot of medals (and actually made a cameo in the end credits of episode 10) She is a two-time Olympic silver medalist (2018 ladies' singles, 2018 team event), a two-time world champion (2016, 2017), a two-time European champion (2016, 2017), a two-time Grand Prix Final champion (2015, 2016), a two-time Russian national champion (2016, 2017), silver medalist at the 2018 European Figure Skating Championships and bronze medalist at the 2019 World Championships. Also, she is a huge Anime fan and has a sailor moon exhibition program and its adorable.
Victor Nikiforov ➡️ Yuzuru Hanyu (Japan)
I know a lot of people compare Yuri to Yuzu but I think Victor is a better fit.
Yuzuru has a legion of super duper dedicated fans, they are pretty scary at times. If you watch the 2018 Olympics, the ice literally was covered in Pooh bears after his skate. People love this man, and rightly so. Clearly Yuri isn't the only one who loves Victor, he's very popular in the yoi skating world and almost everyone loves and looks up to him.
His skates are almost immaculate every time. Not only is his technique amazing but his artistry is what really sets him apart from other skaters who may have higher bv on jumps etc. Not that he dosent have high bv, seriously he tries combos that are super wierd just for the bv (see the wierd 4t-3a combo thing he does idk). Plus he's dead set on doing a quad axel. See Victor's super high bv with all the quads and also the fact everyone goes nuts over how his skating is 'like no other'.
Also his medal collection is absolutely mad, he is a two-time Olympic champion (2014, 2018), two-time World champion (2014, 2017), four-time Grand Prix Final champion (2013–2016), Four Continents champion (2020) and three times silver medalist (2011, 2013, 2017). Just like how Victor is canonicaly an Olympic champion and 5x world champion and probably many time euros champ.
Also, he's a sweetheart, he literally crawled behind Shoma Uno because he didn't want the attention taken away from Shoma. I love him.
Victor Nikiforov gives big Yuzuru Hanyu energy.
Yuri Plisetsky ➡️ Yulia Lipnitskaya (Russia)/Alexandra Trusova (Russia)
Again, 2 people.
It's canon that Yuri P was modeled after Yulia for the flexibility and artistic portion of his skates so I feel like I don't need to elaborate much in it however his determination and his wanting to back load with quads reminds me a lot of Sasha Trusova.
Sasha only started juniors the year after yoi came out (she had a Makkachin tissue box which was given to her by Evgenia M which is adorable) so she was not really that popular when the show was being made but she really made a statement when she became the 1st woman to land 2 quads in 1 program (4 salchow and 4 toeloop) at the age of 13 at 2018 junior worlds.
She has just started senior and this season she had 5 quads in one program and I think I cried. She now has a quad sal, toe, flip and lutz and is apparently working on a loop. On top of that she can land a 3 axel but has yet to do so in competition. Did I mention SHE'S 15 AND I'M TERRIFIED.
She currently holds the world record for the free skate (166.62 points). She is the 2020 European Bronze Medalist, the 2019 Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, the 2019 Skate Canada champion, the 2019 Rostelecom Cup champion, the 2019 CS Ondrej Nepela champion, the 2019 Russian national silver medalist, and the 2020 Russian national bronze medalist.
Her determination to win and high TES reminds me of Yurio a lot.
Phichit Chulanont ➡️ Nam Nguyen (Canada)
This one is fun.
I love Nam with all my heart, he's actually my favourite male skater and not just because of his skating. However his skating is great. He is the 2014 World Junior champion, 2019 Skate Canada silver medalist, and two-time Canadian national champion (2015, 2019). He has placed as high as fifth at the World Championships, in 2015. He's not the best skater ever, kinda like Phichit but his personality shines through so much when he skates and I love it.
My main comparison to Phichit is the fact that Nam Nguyen is a huge meme. His Instagram is one of the most hilarious things I've ever seen (@ namnamnoodle). I can't explain it with words seriously just go look at it, he makes memes using professionnally taken skating photos of himself and honestly it's just a giggle. He's almost always posting on his story and half the videos he takes end up on fan twitter and everyone freaks out.
Also he's good friends with Evgenia, thought I'd mention that seeing as who I compared her to :)).
Yeah, Phichit and Nam are memes and I adore them both.
Jean-Jacques Leroy ➡️ Nathan Chen (USA)
Jj is definitely more of a technical focused skater. He tends to put all his eggs in the '800000 quads' bucket and isn't as artistic, in my humble opinion.
Just like Nathan surprisingly, though Nate isn't as egotistical (not a dig, just an observation).
Nathan is compared to Yuzu a lot, and had actually scored higher than him a few times in competition. He is an amazing jumper and is the first skater to have landed five types of quadruple jumps in competitions: toe loop, Salchow, loop, flip and Lutz. Currently he is two-time World champion (2018, 2019), a 2018 Winter Olympic bronze medalist in the team event, the 2017 Four Continents champion, three-time Grand Prix Final champion (2017, 2018, 2019), and four-time U.S. national champion (2017, 2018, 2019, 2020).
So yeah, he's good.
However at the 2018 Olympics (he was only 18 at the time) he bombed under pressure in the team event and in the sp, only to come back with a WR free skate, but didn't medal because of his sp score,kinda like how Jj bombed at the GPF. (Ngl, I cried in school when I saw Nate bomb at the Olympics, I was so upset).
Also, Nathan is super smart and is training to be a doctor. Not related to Jj but I thought I would point it out.
Christophe Giacometti➡️ Adam Rippon (USA)/Javier Fernández (Spain)
Chris is a hard one to pin to an irl skater because he's just so... Chris.
The closest comparison I can get is Adam Rippon but dialed up to 11 because Adam is quite a bit more tame than Chris is. However he did have a point in his sp where he literally beckons the judges to him in a way that can only be described as vaguely sexual. Seeing that at the Olympics was an event I'll tell you that.
Adam was the first openly gay man to make a U.S. Winter Olympic team, and the first to win a medal at the Winter Games. (team bronze).
Plus, I'm pretty sure he owned a Chris plushie at one point or another.
However other than the obvious Chrissness, his technique and medal winning achievements most closely match up with Javier Fernández (who may I add is pretty much Yuzuru Hanyu's best friend). He is the 2018 Olympic bronze medalist, a two-time World champion (2015, 2016), a two-time World bronze medalist (2013, 2014), a seven-time European champion (2013–2019), a two-time Grand Prix Final silver medalist (2014, 2015), a three-time Rostelecom Cup champion (2014–2016), a two-time Grand Prix in France champion (2016–2017) and an eight-time Spanish national champion (2010, 2012–2018). Javi is an amazing skater but usually ended up playing 2nd fiddle to Yuzuru on the world stage, but with euros, he literally won 7 times consecutively. Anndddd, he was the flag bearer for Spain at the 2014 Olympics and I still cry about it.
Otabek Altin➡️ Denis Ten (Kazakhstan)/ Matteo Rizzo
So it's canon that Otabek was based on Denis (rip Denis) so like Yuri and Yulia I do not feel like I need to elaborate much as you can read it on the wikia page. But Otabek also reminds me of a less talkative version of Matteo Rizzo. Matteo is the 2019 European bronze medalist, 2018 NHK Trophy bronze medalist, 2019 Winter Universiade champion, and 2018 Italian national champion.
The reason he reminds me of Otabek is that they just joth exude the same level of cool and I can't explain it any further than that. That's it. Just watch him skate and you'll see.
So that's all I have for now because this post got pretty long so if this gets enough attention I'll do a part 2 :)).
Thank you @multifangirlsworld for tagging me !
Rules: You have to choose your 10 favorite songs discovered through Skam and its remakes. It's okay if you can't only choose 10. Create your own playlist💜
1. Wildfire (by SYML) in WTfock, season 3 episode 4 (and again in episode 10 during the OHN scene).
This song makes me feel SO MANY THINGS, it’s really uplifting, and very fitting for their first kiss !! It’s a now headcanon Sobbe song.
2. For The Last Time (by Dean Lewis) in Druck, season 3 episode 10.
Hooooooly wow I already was on the verge of tears from Matteo and David’s exchange with the “I’m nervous - Me too”, but then this song started playing and I lost it. Made me so emo, couldn’t handle it. It’s a beautiful song for them !
3. Lips on You (by Maroon 5) in SKAM Italia, season 2 episode 8.
Wow, I love Maroon 5, but when this song started playing during Nicotino love scene I just lost it. Beautiful, fits sooo well with the scene ! Perfection !
4. I Love You (by RIOPY) in SKAM France, season 3 episode 2.
Played by Lucas on the piano (!!), this song will always make me feel things !
5. 5 fine frokner (by Gabrielle) in SKAM, season 3 episode 8.
Iconic scene and iconic song by now, with Even singing every line to Isak who’s trying not to laugh.
6. Fading (by Alle Farben & ILIRA) in Druck, season 3 episode 10.
Love this song ! I listen to it like seven billion times a day, makes me so happy ! Also loved this scene so much in the episode, it’s so joyful and carefree.
7. Hurts So Good (by Astrid S) in SKAM, season 4 episode 9 (and bloopers).
Such a goooood soong ! Sana & Yousef singing the lyrics in the bloopers made my heart swell.
8. The Message (by NAS) in SKAM, season 3 episode 2.
Love this scene. Even smoking, eyes SO BLUE, and Isak watching him. And this song fits perfectly !
9. Buon Viaggio (Share The Love) (by Cesare Cremonini) in SKAM Italia, season 3 episode 8.
Ooooh that scene is epic ! First Martino and Niccolò singing the song to each other, and then Luchino, Elia and Giovanni jamming to it, absolutely epic scene ! Loved it !
10. Clean Eyes (by SYML) in Druck, season 3 episode 4.
The bike scene. Love this song soo so much !
Songs I wished I could have included in this :
- Dance Monkey by Tones and I (in WTfock, season 3 episode 10 : the final scene where Robbe and Sander kiss in front of everyone.)
- Magenta Riddim by DJ Snake (in both SKAM Italia, season 2 episode 1, and Druck season 3 episode 3 : in SKAM Italia, the very first song we hear, right after the phonecalls from the LGBTQ+ centre, Fede’s birthday party; in Druck, the party scene where Hans and his friends enter the flat and one of his friends tries to kiss Matteo.)
- Candles by Jon Hopkins (in SKAM Italia, season 2 episode 4 : Nicotino’s first kiss in the pool !)
- Everlasting by Phil Stevens (in SKAM France, season 3 episode 10 : Lucas talks to Lucille about Eliott’s bipolar.)
- Sweet Apocalypse by Lambert (in SKAM France, season 3 episode 1 and 10 :  it’s the first and last song we hear in this season !)
- Tell Me What You See by Matilda Davoli (in SKAM Italia, season  2 episode 5 : the morning after Nicotino’s first kiss in the pool, the “Nel mio letto” scene.)
- Swedish Garden by Brice Davoli (in SKAM France, season 3 episode 7 : the paint scene !!)
- O Helga Natt (by Nils Bech) (OBVI) (in SKAM, season 3 episode 9 : do I even need to give a description, really ?!)
- Self Control by Raf (in SKAM Italia, season 2 episode 3 : Marti kissing Emma while Nico kisses Maddalena and they look at each other.)
- Under Pressure by David Bowie & Queen (in WTfock, season 3 episode 3 : Sander makes croques and Robbe crushes on him.)
This was very fun indeed !
Note
if u disagree sm how abt u explain ur opinion like a normal human being like bitch u asked for unpopular opinions and i needed 2 minutes to write that shit it was literally exhausting also we all know u don't have a life so pls respond with arguments cause i'm rly trying to understand ur logic kallie (yes i just wrote kallie on purpose i hope that triggered u and also i'm a minor and i will sue u if u insult me back)
HDKJSKDJDK SOME OF Y'ALL ARE JUST AMAZING. And I can tell you're a minor don't worry
Even though you called me a bitch I'll still tell you because I'm terrified of getting sued. Amira had seven episodes. There was no side plots at all. It was just her and Mohammed (which was very well done, as was the praying scenes). Her relationship with her parents was never resolved. The australia storyline was dropped and never resolved (it was wrapped up via text message after her pov ended). There were more clips of her boxing and looking on her phone then I've ever seen in my life. The girl squad was non-existent. Her relationship with Matteo was thrown out the window. We just saw a lot of Kiki and Carlos and everyone else didn't matter. We got a week of Mia for no reason. She broke up with Alex and immediately got together with a girl we've never met for no reason. We never even got a pov with Sam. Or Kiki. The whole "last week of differing povs" that the og and italia did was literally just two different povs. Mia got more screentime then everyone else in the show. Amira was thrown aside and it was clear the writing was unbelievably rushed so they could get a summer season before going to uni. The first three seasons were amazing and they completely dropped the ball on the most difficult season. Call me a bitch again and I'll call your parents
Disney Channel Tag (created by caitlovesdisney on YouTube)
I was really out of ideas for new content and my very hectic online ed schedule isn’t really leaving me with a lot of time for an AWAE rewatch, so I decided to do something different this time. This is a tag created by the amazing caitlovesdisney over on YouTube, and if you’re a Disney fan and haven’t seen any of her videos, you should go check her out now:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uc4JrxVE-t4
So here are my answers to her 30 questions:
Favourite Disney Channel show: This is a hard one. The Suite Life of Zack and Cody was my first favourite from the network, but Austin & Ally got me through some really tough times, and then there’s Girl Meets World... so I guess it’s those three.
 Favourite Disney Channel movie: Another very hard one, probably Lemonade Mouth or Avalon High.
Favourite Disney Channel ship: Why are these so tough? I’m gonna go with Lutteo or Binuel.
Favourite Disney Channel ship that never was: Riley and Farkle, definitely. No, wait,  Riley x Farkle x Maya as a poly relationship.
Favourite Disney Channel friendship: This will be an unusual answer, but – Austin and Ally. I recently rewatched 1x3 and came to appreciate them as friends so much more than as a couple. I still don’t ship them with anyone but each other, though. Although Dez and Austin would have made a lovely couple, too.
Favourite Disney Channel siblings: The Diaz family. I really like Coop and Cami Wrather from the more recent shows, too.
Favourite Disney Channel animated series: Nothing can beat Phineas and Ferb, that was a culture of its own.
Favourite Disney Channel show that is airing right now: International: BIA, hands down. American: Sydney to the Max. It’s unlike anything else.
Disney Channel show you wish had another season: Andi Mack. Also, Girl Meets World. Those were two of a kind and better than most shows on the network imo.
Favourite international Disney Channel Show: Soy Luna. I also really enjoyed Alex & Co.
Favourite Disney Channel theme song: Another tough one. The Suite Life on Deck and Pair of Kings themes are certified bops. But one theme that I really wish had a longer version is the theme to Mighty Med.
Favourite song from a Disney Channel movie: Currently, Flesh and Bone from Zombies 2.
Favourite Disney Channel character: How do I possibly pick just one? Going with my gut feeling, Farkle from Girl Meets World.
Favourite Disney Channel actor/ actress: Actress – Sabrina Carpenter, no question. Actor – I really don’t know, but Jackson Dollinger from Sydney to the Max reminds me of my little brother for some reason.
Favourite Disney Channel kiss: Lutteo’s kiss from 2x41, mostly because of the moment preceding it.
Favourite Disney Channel Movie dance number: I have a soft spot for the ending number from Teen Beach 2.
Favourite Disney Channel parents: It’s a three-way tie between Bob and Amy, Bex and Bowie and... Cory and Topanga. I also like the kind of dad that Max from Sydney to the Max is.
Favourite quote from a Disney Channel movie: “I wanted to remember this summer, but not like this, Troy.” This one has stuck with me since I was 10 and saw HSM2 for the first time.
Which Disney Channel school would you like to attend?: Seven Seas High, definitely.
Favourite Disney Channel Duet: “Nadie como tú” by the glorious duo of Matteo and Simón.
Disney Channel character you’d switch wardrobes with: Andi Mack.
Disney Channel song that makes you cry: “More than a band” from Lemonade Mouth.
Disney Channel Song that makes you want to dance: “Flesh and Bone” from Zombies 2.
What DCOM do you wish had a sequel?: None, actually. I might have said Teen Beach 2 at first, but even with that ending, I do think they work better as a pair. The ending just had to be better.
Favourite Disney Channel recording artist: Sabrina Carpenter. I’ve been following her since she was on that one episode of Austin and Ally.
Last Disney Channel show and movie you watched: Show – BIA. DCOM – Lemonade Mouth.
Name a Disney Channel character you ship yourself with: I’m aroace, so I don’t ship myself with people. But I’d really like Big Red from HSMTMTS as a best friend. Or Farkle from Girl Meets World.
Which DCOM have you seen at least ten times: The original HSM, for sure. If you could have any item from a show or DCOM, what would it be?: Either Luna’s sun & moon necklace or... Ally’s book. When I’m told not to touch something, I really want to see what it is.
Pitch a Disney Channel show or movie: I’ve had a sort of obsession with the thought of Voltage, but what about Sing it Loud? I’d love to see that.
I’m tagging: every single Disney fan who sees this! xx
