ABC News shares that Aaliyah is casted in the movies Matrix and Aaliyah fans rejoice.
I remember Aaliyah fans (during this time) excited and just all over the message boards sharing their love. We were already thrilled at the news of her impending release of the much-anticipated third album, and this news served as an additional delight for us.
Filming for 'Matrix Reloaded' would begin March 1st 2001. Tragically, she (and 8 others) passed away in August 2001, and regrettably, the amount of footage recorded for her character (Zee) was insufficient for the production team to retain her in the film. Consequently, all scenes associated with Aaliyah's character had to be reshot, and the role was subsequently recast to Nona Gaye, the daughter of Marvin Gaye, for both The Matrix Reloaded and in The Matrix Revolutions.

Remember in the film The Matrix where those who took the 'Red Pill' started to see a different reality to those who hadn't? In this time so much information flying around that compounds confusion and raises fear, keeping the mind distracted and disorientated, keeping us all from discerning the truth hidden under the veil of many lies. When we learn to see with our spiritual eyes, the many dimensions/facets to the stories become ever so apparent, our vision is 20/20, not 0.5/20....we observe what it is, not what is projected. It requires necessary training, practice the Knowledge: https://ancestralvoices.teachable.com LINK IN BIO 'LIVING AN AFRICAN SPIRITUAL-CENTRED LIFE' #remember #film #time #to #train #training #matrix #matrixcolor #matrixfilm #neo #riseofmachines #redpill #blue #bluepill #veil #learn #2020 #knowledge #seeclearly #clarity #truth https://www.instagram.com/p/CCWWsWlj-R9/?igshid=ixvaqbxq1ge1

One of my favorite movies of all time. Even the music got to me. My mom once had this soundtrack and we begged her to play it almost all the time. Gosh I miss the 90s. #mateix #matrixsoundtrack #matrixfilm #1999 #90s #soundtrack #soundtrackofmylife https://www.instagram.com/p/CAzRfweJVjN/?igshid=1g2uf3z2p4xsi

Movie Review - The Matrix Resurrections

Not the movie I expected to close out my year, but hey, not the worst way to go out.
The Matrix Resurrections, the fourth film in the Matrixfranchise, is directed by Lana Wachowski and stars Keanu Reeves, Carrie-Anne Moss, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II, Jessica Henwick, Jonathan Groff, and Neil Patrick Harris. Set after the events of the original Matrix trilogy, this film follows Thomas Anderson as he experiences breaks in reality and must learn the truths of the Matrix once again. To say anymore could be considered spoilers, and I’m not sure how much the Matrix fan base are interested in preserving anonymity. It’s likely less so than the Spider-Man fandom, but I’ll still play sharing story details more safe than sorry.
Now, to irk the Matrix fandom further, I’ll admit that I am one of the few people who find the first Matrixfilm serviceable and fun, but quite over exaggerated. It’s certainly foundational for establishing a long-followed formula for action cinema for years afterward, but for me does not necessarily hold up to the times and is, despite a complex lore, is very archetypal. I also haven’t see the sequels, The Matrix Reloaded and The Matrix Revolutions, from beginning to end. The bits I have seen felt no different to me than the first film. And honestly, that may be to this fourth film’s benefit. Much of the discussion The Matrix Resurrections I’ve seen has been lambasting this movie. However, I found this fourth iteration to be a fairly enjoyable action romp.
Avoiding story spoilers, there is a balance of nostalgia from the previous Matrix films and new innovative ideas and concepts. Wachowski clearly takes advantage of both the memorable moments of the franchise and the timeline placement of this film. Reeves is, as always, fun to watch; he wavers frequently between extremely and purposefully wooden, to outlandish and hammy, to seasoned and jaded, all to entertaining effect. Most of the other actors are equally good, with particular standouts being Abdul-Mateen II and Harris. The odd one out is Groff, whose character is a new version of a previous one from the first films. While Groff gives a solid performance, I feel he’s a slight miscast for this role, and is frankly overshadowed by the previous performance.
The main attractions of a Matrix film are adequate in this sequel. The action scenes are mostly well-choreographed if not a tad slower than preferred. The special effects are done well enough to be interesting, and there are some truly unique designs for some of the machines. The ideas, concepts and “commentary” are genuinely interesting, but all of which are either woefully under-explored or painfully obvious. But again, that’s a fair summary of my feelings toward the The Matrix too, so all-in-all, I got what I expected.
I can understand how The Matrix Resurrections could be incredibly disappointing for fans of the franchise. The marketing and trailers promised a renovation and upgrade to the series, but what we received was ultimately repeating many of the tropes and clichés of the other films. That was enough for me, but may be too little for many others. Perhaps it’s time to let the Matrix be shut down, no more patches or updates, before the whole system collapses on itself totally.
6/10

SFWA Announces Newest Grand Master – William Gibson

‘‘Gibson is known for his cyberpunk novels Neuromancer, Virtual Light, and Mona Lisa Overdrive, and co-wrote the steampunk novel The Difference Engine with Bruce Sterling. Gibson’s writing, through novels such as Pattern Recognition and The Peripheral, continues to break new ground and stimulate conversation about the cyberworld. The influence of Gibson’s writing has not only been felt within the science fiction community, but has expanded to other forms of art, as seen in the music of Billy Idol and Warren Zevon and the Matrixfilms, as well as throughout computer culture’’.

Old Matrix Film

gelatin hardens as it ages. And it does so in an uncharacterized manner. As the gelatin of a matrix film ages, it undergoes changes which I don’t know have ever been studied. No reason to do so since no film maker ever thought people would store soft gelatin film for decades. Most of those still making Dye Transfers are doing so with old matrixfilm. They are hoping that cold storage is extending…

Hvad vil filmen mig?
I min rangering
af filmene hedder det 1, 2, 3 og 4.
I just don’t know. Hvad siger I andre ?
