imisshomestuck: I don't understand what part of Roxy's story is a trans allegory but according to the fandom Roxy is trans fem. Was it the isolation and battling that with alcoholism that made people think Roxy is trans?
Apparently it's because she creates a matriorb out of nowhere for Kanaya, who the fandom also thinks is canonically trans fem. So the matriorb symbolizes a womb or the inability to have children because the space aspect is about femininity or some shit.
Nevermind that it could be read as an allegory for sterile women or a lesbian finding a surrogate. Nope, if you can't have kids that means you're always trans. Soooo inclusive...

Cringetober 25 - Gijinka
It’s the matriorb! I don’t actually know if a kinda-egg counts as an object, but I had fun.

The recent return to abortion motifs is actually reminding me of the stuff that confused me about Roxy in the first place. Did Mom have a literal miscarriage that she mourned through Jaspers or is the failure to attain Child a cruel reminder of the inability for the gay ass to get pregnant? Column A symbolizes column B would be my current take (with other interpretations of Merge With Child picking up slack), but its no wonder I used to get so confused about this. It's a miracle I had the presence of mind to disambiguate some of these in Some Words on Openbound.
Anyway it's funny that via the cherubim, we get to see an extremely phallic #mpreg snake give birth to a healthy skull-baby. What if gay abortion were a species

no idea why so much of the hs fandom has latched onto “eridan wouldn’t miss” in the wake of the assassination attempt but i’m here for it. it’s his moment to shine. shooting political figures with 100% perfect aim is kind of his thing yknow

Since bringing an ectobiology lab into the new universe or spreading game tech to the public doesn't seem to be standard procedure with the game, I suspect a normal session would take long enough for the players to be shaped by the game and only win it by the time they're adults so they're pretty much ready to rebuild and repopulate the hard way
