Camino a casa

there is still that narrative from liberals and centrists that paint israeli settlers as innocent civilians, but you have to serve in the IOF for 2 years if you're a citizen of isntreal. we've seen what happened to that taylor swift updates girl, she went to prison multiple time for refusing to join the iof. when she was on trial and the court was trying to see if she could be marked as a pacifist, they asked her if she would punch a nazi, she said yes, and they got mad at her... plus the main aggressors of refugee camps in palestine's west bank are armed settlers. also so called "innocent civilians" are like annexing villages like massafer yatta (in west bank) shooting palestinians and telling them to leave. ofc there are those who are anti-zionist and anti-occupation activists and such, but only paying attention to them is really distracting to the fact that adult settlers contribute to this onslaught whether they are current IOF or just a "civilian" with a gun. palestine doesn't have a military, they've never invaded anyone, all they have are resistance fighters who wear bucket hats and sweatpants who grew up in palestinian refugee camps.

Last week in Massafer Yatta, of the southern Hebron Hills, approximately 30 Israeli soldiers conducted a raid on the villages of Umm Al Khair and Al Majaz. During the operation, they imposed restrictions on the movement of the residents, closed entrances, and conducted thorough searches in nearly every house.

Basil Adraa writes:
Sometimes I film, and can’t believe what I am seeing. Eighty settlers, masked, attacked a Palestinian town now in Massafer Yatta. They went house after house, broke windows, smashed cars, with knives and hammers. Residents fled. A big stone they threw, broke the head of a three year old child, Mohammed, who is now injured in the hospital. Soldiers backed them up with tear gas, injure
I can’t forget the way all villagers left their homes, terrified, the kids screaming, as settlers entered their living rooms, mad with violence and rage. The women were crying. I am attaching some photos I managed to take, and hopefully I will share some videos soon of the violence.
This is part of a larger apartheid policy Israel carries out, to evict all of us from these lands, here in Massafer Yatta. The army helps destroys our homes every week with bulldozers, and settlers attack families, using the Jewish holiday of Sukkot to gather together and destroy a village.

It pained me to listen to the victims of the following attack that took place in Saddat Al Tha'ala 14.11.2021
From: The Villages Group Sent: Sunday, November 14, 2021 9:49 AM To: Ehud Krinis <ksehud@gmail.com> Subject: The Pain that is Massafer Yatta - Hamed's Report
It pained me to listen to the victims of the following attack that took place in Saddat Al Tha'ala
On 6 November, 2021 a group of five settlers scuffled with a Palestinian family of three men and two women when the settlers trespassed on their house yard with their sheep. The Israeli police arrived and arrested two men for assaulting the settlers and released them after paying a bail of 2000 ILS each.
On 7 November, a group of 5-6 settlers armed with batons and pepper spray attacked the same family and assaulted a man and two women with batons and fled the location. A 40-year old man sustained a fracture in the hand, a 39-year old woman had her nose broken, and another woman suffered bruises. All were admitted to the hospital and complaints were filed in the Israeli police against the assailants, with no arrests reported so far.
As to add insult to injury, the 5 settlers insisted on bringing their 500 sheep and making them drink from the only water cistern in the village. Despite the fact that the cistern is located on a private Palestinian land and the fact that the Palestinian owner BOUGHT water and placed it in the cistern (due to the ongoing lack of rain), the Army basically declared a curfew in the village and allowed the settlers to bring their sheep and drink from the cistern for MORE THAN THREE HOURS while the Palestinian owners were helplessly looking on !!!!!!
I could have cried listening to this .........
Speaking to the elder of the village, he requested some fencing of his land to prevent settlers from trespassing.
We shall be working on that.
