i know a lot of people tend to define dani/ellie's "obsession" as the ocean to go with danny's space obsession but tbh i feel like as dani gets older she's going to do a lot to separate herself from her identity as danny's "clone" and become her own person
like, that's why i love that the fandom has adopted the "ellie" nickname so much for her. i so wish the show went on for longer with more competent writers or the comic could expand on this maybe but i think finding her own identity and voice would be such a powerful narrative. you're made for one thing but you don't wanna do that, so now what do you do?
(tbh that kind of identity exploration is probably too anit-christian for b*tch h*rtman so i'm glad he didn't get to touch it)
it's canon that dani goes off and travels the world, so why not have her obsession be traveling? she's got a huge case of wanderlust. she likes the outdoors, she likes hiking and camping and is a huge granola girl. like, i think that kinda just fits her a bit more, in my opinion. traveling/exploration.
#danny phantom#dani phantom#ellie phantom#ominous posts#i have a lot more ideas for an aged up everlasting trio too#like college ages#i think sam would dual major in polisci and environmental studies. activist queen#tucker would definitely be computer science but i can also see him being a theater or history kid#danny? i love the idea of him being the black sheep/artist of his family of scientists#but i think he would go for some sort of aerospace engineering obviously.#if he can't be an astronaut because of health reasons/the accident then at least he can help people get up there#though danny becoming NASA's social media manager would also be hilarious. Communications Major Danny?#that's my mass comm degree bias coming through haha#valerie ends up a part of their group at some point and she majors in physical health/exercise#college au? i guess??#cool egde au

American academics - how are you coping?
I have finally been accepted into a BA program at nearly 33 years old after a long and difficult journey. I am due to begin in January for a degree in comms (haven’t selected which branch yet, but was heavily leaning towards journalism and poli sci).
But now it’s become abundantly clear that facts and education have no value here. To be educated is to have the woke mind virus. Further, my degree was meant to position me to work with media and activism and let’s be honest, journalism is about to be officially dead and we’re likely about to experience heavy cesnsorship in media.
I don’t want to go, I don’t want to sit in a classroom knowing my education is seen as a negative trait by this administration and their followers. I don’t want to walk past extremist religious protesters who think I’m property in order to get to my class. For what? The more I learn the more I’m aware of how fucked everything is while those who don’t care to learn new things tell me I’m overreacting because of the woke mind virus.

How do you think Medb feels about Emiya ?
Cú and Medb have a lot of overlap in what they think a hero should be (except not exactly because she doesn’t completely understand Cú and gets frustrated because of it), but Medb would probably find political value in someone who fights from the shadows.
In her myths, she’s known for her “pillow talk” with Ailill which was actually just him negging her by “jokingly” telling her that she’s lucky to be married to him, that he’s richer than her, and that her wealth doesn’t count because she’s a woman and can be taken from her at anytime.
Medb doesn’t let him talk down to her, which pisses him off because he’s been envious that she, a woman, has more political power as the queen, than him. (Connacht is typically ruled by queens) Ailill breaking her 3 expectations of a husband (kind, brave, and wouldn’t be envious of her) and then comparing their wealth obviously leads to the events of the war.
In America, she rules with Cu Alter, who is apathetic and gruff, but they generally work fine together. They don’t always agree on what they should do, but they communicate and hear each other out (something Medb hardly does with other characters.) It’s very clear that Medb is the ruling authority, and Alter doesn’t have any problem taking the side role and being on the front lines. It’s a stark difference with her marriage, so it’s incredibly important that her husband or comrades aren’t the power hungry types.
So it’s not too much of an extreme for her to work with someone like Alter and then someone like Emiya or Emiya Alter imo. She wouldn’t consider the latter as a king because she has no personal experience or vendetta against him, but he’s got the right personality and disposition of someone who she’d grow to trust enough to fight for her.
Instead of the wicked king and queen dynamic she has with Cú Alter, she’d have more of a dark lady and knight/bodyguard with Emiya, who’d no doubt reject any power or wealth she’d offer him and would just keep doing his job. She might find his idea of being a hero amusing and fascinating that she’d interject herself in his life. He’s mellowed out in Chaldea though, so his protective nature and willingness to scold her might make her heart race to the point that she’s confused because he’s totally not her type!!!!!!!! (He is kind of her type, whether politically or romantically)
#magical college girl medb#nameless on the battlefield#I don’t study Emiya enough to know the deep intricacies of his psyche#but I do know Medb loves mischaracterizing people#and she’s intrigued by people who aren’t like the masses#so I think Emiya would definitely be someone she’d find interesting and would want to dissect his brain to understand him#and then she just would not understand because she has no idea how to communicate on a personal level because she withholds info lmao#causing a cycle of wanting to know and thinking she knows and getting surprised by what she doesn’t know and wanting to know more#long post#I just woke up so if it’s confusing to read that’s why lmao

Mastering the Art of Digital Advertising
Digital advertising is all around us. Ever since the advent of the internet, traditional advertising platforms have been replaced by digital advertising. Hoardings and brochures no more command high respect in advertising, and their impact cannot be measured.
On the other hand, digital advertising comes with its own metrics. You can analyse the impact of a campaign easily with the appropriate tools. It is highly reliable and trusted. Digital advertising also reaches a wider audience than traditional advertising.
Key Components of Digital Advertising
Types of Digital Advertising Channels
There are different types of digital advertising channels. Earlier, the primary digital medium was television. However, social media has taken over the entire domain. Nowadays, digital campaigns on Instagram and YouTube are one of the most effective tools for advertising. A BBA in Media Management will definitely help you understand these new-age mediums.
Strategies for Effective Digital Advertising
There are basically two strategies for digital marketing that you must comply with.
Setting Clear Advertising Objectives
Clear goals for the campaign must be drawn out. For example, you are setting a target for an increased number of sales. Thus, measure the success of your campaign with the percentage of new sales.
Targeting the Right Audience
The right target audience is all you need to determine first. Your target audience will make up the highest percentage of your customers. Therefore, driving the communication towards them and solving their problems is the best way to go. A BBA in Branding and Advertising will teach you how to identify the target audience.
Tools and Technologies in Digital Advertising
Advertising Platforms and Tools
Social media analysis tools like Google Ads, Facebook Ads Manager, and LinkedIn Campaign Manager are very beneficial for digital marketing.
Analytics and Performance Tracking
You can track lick-through rate (CTR), conversion rate, and return on investment (ROI) using analytics tools.
Trends and Innovations in Digital Advertising
AI and Machine Learning
AI and machine learning enhance digital advertising by predicting consumer behaviour. Various AI-based tools like Sora and Midjourney are also available to make quick graphics.
Influencer Marketing
Collaborating with influencers leverages their credibility and reach to endorse products authentically, expanding brand reach and fostering consumer trust.
Privacy Concerns and Ad Regulations
Privacy regulations like GDPR and CCPA ensure compliance. You must learn to navigate and maintain consumer trust by safeguarding personal data and respecting user preferences.
Mastering digital advertising requires a strategic approach. A new-age BBA in Advertising will teach you about leveraging technology, data analytics, and creative innovation to deliver compelling campaigns. These will resonate with audiences and drive business growth in the digital landscape.

I know I’m part of a pretty young fandom, so just in case any of you didn’t know:
hello! I am a college and career counselor! This is my job! I go to a high school every day to help kids with ANY and all of these pathways, because any pathway that works for you is the right one for you! Here are some things I find myself repeating to my students.
If you want to go to college but you think you can’t go to college: you can! The American education system is very insular; if you are an immigrant, have immigrant parents, or just are first gen, it’s incredibly hard to know where to start. Ask your counselors for help, and check out these resources here to get started:
Your SATs/ACTs don’t have to matter! Most schools don’t require them anymore. Here is a list of colleges that do. I promise you if you don’t send them in, colleges don’t give a shit.
Community college is free if you live in these states.
State vs Private Schools? Applying to private and state schools is beneficial, because while state schools are cheaper, private schools have more money to offer you in scholarships. See who offers you the best deal.
Where do I apply for scholarships?? These are the legitimate scholarship websites we recommend to students: bold.org, niche.com, fastweb.com, goingmerry.com
Do you want to go to community college to transfer to a four year college? The UCs, Massachusetts, and New York all offer guaranteed transfer to state schools. Look for similar options at your local community college, and see if they have direct programs.
Community college is an incredibly useful tool, but did you know what else they offer? Tech and trade programs!! (Use this Mass community college to see the kinds of programs offered). Ultrasound tech, radiological tech, automotive trades, dental assistant programs, etc; these are all specialized skills you can learn that make you an invaluable worker. There are many more jobs out there than you know of, and some require a different type of school. For example, you can work in the healthcare field without being a doctor or a nurse.
State governments often offer paid apprenticeship programs for trade work! Check your local government website for things like electricians and HVAC tech, which are pretty well paid jobs in high demand.
Being undecided on your major is totally fine. College is for finding yourself! This percentage of students change majors, or transfer colleges.
Once you have been at your school for a year, you’ll have forgotten about your acceptances and rejections to any other schools, I promise. Once you are there, it doesn’t matter anymore, because there is a school that fits for everyone.
Financial aid websites are incredibly daunting. Remember, to fill out the CSS profile (only for select private schools, find that list here) or the FAFSA (required for every school) you will need you and your parents/guardians W2s, 1040s, social security numbers (your parents don’t need a social security number to fill out the FAFSA!), and any other financial documents you may have. Specific lists here and here.
I am undocumented. What are my college options? Ask colleges their financial aid options for undocumented students! Don’t be nervous to be open with a school (and your counseling team) about your documentation status, they legally cannot disclose that information! Of course, this is a very personal thing, so do what makes you comfortable, but schools cannot give you options if they don’t know your situation. There are MANY different kinds of documentation, so make sure you know the specifics of yours, and any pathways to citizenship open to you. Here are some schools that cover 100% of need for undocumented students. (I would add Holy Cross to that list, they give several scholarships that cover 100% tuition a year for undocumented students. Check your local private colleges to see if they offer any programs like that). Here are states with free community college programs that apply for undocumented state residents: California, Delaware, Massachusetts, Maine (DACA only), Maryland, New Jersey, New Mexico, New York, Oregon, Rhode Island, and Washington. Also, check out thedream.us for information on your options in your state, and scholarship options specific to undocumented and DACA students.
every year we have to say it
#I’m happy to answer any quick questions people have#but I am a mass/new englander so that is where the majority of my expertise lies#also this is clearly usamerican coded#i just learned today that ireland doesn't have free college so#we're all in this together i guess#but anyways have this i guess#high school#college#university#school#trade school#community college#melissa replies#melissa bullshit
