Halloween, Cross Guild masquerade party, Buggy Pirates version of a Venetian Carnival, a twist on Feast of Fools - hosted by our lovely Flashy Fool. Now we're delving into some Gatsby party shit and I am here for it.

WC: ~300 Warnings: nsfw, buggy x gn!reader, mentions of sex, mentions of alcohol (after sex), manual stimulation - gn and male

On the one hand, we can have Buggy discarding his clowny aesthetic for the event.

But let's twist it. Buggy is not the only clown in attendance. There are others wearing masks with bulbous red noses, plenty of jesters and goofballs, pierrots, mimes, and other brightly colored jokesters.

This way, Buggy can mess around all he wants. And fuck who he wants, without feeling self-conscious, or overthinking the weirdness that can come with being in a position of power.

You benefit from this surreptitious hook-up by indulging in your embarrassing clown-kink. Plus you get to walk (stumble) away with some wonderful inspiration for the fantasies you take to bed every night, in place of a certain pirate captain that you're crushing on.

From bonding over what little chit-chat could be heard over party noises, to sweaty bodies and heavy breathing, all the way to one last glass of bubbly to cheer a night well-spent, that party becomes a sweet, mystery-flavored memory for both of you.

Until little things start to pile up. The hand on your shoulder carries a familiar weight. Your laughter is like a long-lost song unearthed in Buggy's mind. The pirate's mumbling under his breathe gives you goosebumps. You can almost feel the words against your ear.

None of it is enough for either of you to know for certain.

But there is more than enough to obsess over when you're alone - thinking and thinking until your toes curl and you're out of breath.

Until Buggy has painted the walls in his shower and he's leaning against the cool tiles, waiting for his heart rate to drop.

Episode Title: The Masquerade Ball

Favorite Bit of the Episode: Surena pretending to turn into a frog was so cute I almost died. The KP/Rue angst is again ripping me apart but Binx and Andhera dynamic is adorable (especially frog Binx). Seafoam Court on my naughty list. Rue is a baby and must be loved and protected so much. Lou miming the Fey calendar made me choke on water jfc. Chirp’s love for her family legit made me cry a little. The way she talked about Peep, just my whole heart hurts knowing they’re going to quickly outlive her. I will fight Andhera’s mom for not loving my small baby boy. Actually evil. Binx and Andhera duo forever. I’m crying. YOU DON’T KNOW SCRATCH?! SO NASTY!

l'art du silence Rocky

♛ regarding the artwork itself, its one of the ugliest looking styles ive ever done, however the background style looking like a damaged postcard or letter i am proud of. Maybe with better detailing and style, it would look good with the background. The oc, Rocky, is inspired by traditional french mimes, with a hint of Italian masquerade fashion. The act he performs is similar to that of Marselis Marso. Though the only difference is his character "Bip the clown" is more comical, while Rocky focuses on tragedy and dark humour. Rant below

So the NFL's been doing special broadcasts for kids, since a lot of kids aren't playing or liking football these days for some unstated reason. In the past these involved a Nick broadcast with slime, and a broadcast with live color commentary from Patrick Star

Their new one is a special Toy Story broadcast that takes all the player tracking data from the game, and uses it to create animated doppelgangers of all the players as toys in Andy's Room. It looks like this

Also Andy is incredibly into football now I guess. Since Toy Story 3 came out in 2010 and Andy was off to college then Andy Toystory would be, like, thirty now. Did he drop out and move home and get back his old toys from that little girl and also buy a lot of little football players and he stays in his room all day making them play and telling them "it's all okay you're back now, it's time to play, like when I was a kid" and Woody's just kind of sad about the whole thing, and then Andy stalks off to the corner to cry and all the toys have to lay there and watch his breakdown bc they daren't move while he's looking at them, not just to keep the masquerade but because revealing the truth may break his already fragile psyche, which is warped by his mom pointing out to him that Sid, the garbage man, is happy and has a nice house with his husband and kids, isn't it funny, and Andy laughed but in private he was so enraged he tore apart his toys and now he's angrier that he can't put them back together, and he just has Woody and Buzz and he's telling them he fucked up, he always fucks up, WHY CAN'T ANYTHING GO RIGHT ANYMORE? and then he runs off to the attic and none of the toys know if he's more of a danger to himself or others, and the torn up ones are still alive and conscious of their splintered being and can, for the first time in their plastic existence, suffer?

Anyway, the first down chains are Slinky Dog and players phase into him sometimes. Whoa!

This is a 1:1 replication of a real-life game happening in London and it has people running into Slinky Dog and merging with him. Past broadcasts just had AR elements, this one is full-on CGI models stiffly miming real-world movements. If any kid gets into football from this they have to be told that it actually isn't CGI toys playing most weeks. Though it will be for the Jags bc they have a second London game this year

With Haley very enthusiastically in the care of Dottie whilst Dick changed into the outfit that Alfred has whisked off to have pressed earlier, Dick was struck by a certain nostalgia as he took in the gala. Timothy might have arranged it, but it was all classic Wayne lines: art deco, black and gold, entwined night and crystal glass, minimalist sweeping lines in sharp angles and playful nouv filigree.

Dick had a memory of Jason, spindly pre-teen and miming throwing up, before grinning and darting off. Different memories of a far too small Tim effortlessly moving through the crowd. Others of Brucie's inaugural fall into the fountain, which was so telegraphed and planned, that Dick wondered how anybody still bought the act.

Nostalgic, really. He nodded at his siblings, a wink, and an unapologetic grin when he said he had to go find his date- picking up fond eyerolls back, as Dick slipped off to find Hunter. And as soon as he laid eyes on the man, moving to meet him in the crowd with-

Well. A playful shine to his eyes, and a cocky little smirk, as he pretended to not know him at all. Introducing himself, "hi. Dick Grayson-Wayne." He offered his hand, blue eyes sparkling as he moved in a little close under the pretext of being heard above the crowd.

Pluto - They/Them - Gold-plated - Manager (and sometimes vocalist)

Designed in the mid-1700's (Rococo period England) by astronomer Francis Kuiper. Kuiper was a trans-man and, as such, couldn't give his wife Isabella any children. Instead, he designed what he called "The Star Child", a genderless being from space that could fill their empty home.

In 1946, Peter Walter IV, while researching great astronomers, finds the lost Star Child drawing and decides to build a brand-new Blue Matter Robot. They're dubbed 'Pluto' like the newest discovered planet in appreciation for the advancements in space technology. They're also given two dials on their neck, which act as voice modulators, in the event that another robot cannot perform vocally. (Only in a vocal capacity. Said robot would still need to be visible on stage, miming their words, and playing their instrument to keep the illusion.) They mostly act as the band's manager.

Pluto's design pulls from the painting Starry Night, the aroace flag, and rococo masc and fem fashion (or at least what we wore in Cinderella, which is where Kuiper is from)

They're good friends with Hatchworth (who gave them the Fancy Shoes, since they act like fake royalty) and the Walter Workers (being a manager and since they have the same blue hair). They often use their voice modulators to scare the other robots, speaking as their 'subconscious'. They don't usually perform as themselves since they refuse to wear the band's red and black uniform and can't play any instruments, but they do love Star Valley Night. They are simultaneously the youngest and oldest robot (which is a metaphor for autism).

My friend does robot drag, so I recorded some videos to be critiqued. You get one since you read all of this, presumedly. Thank you, signing off.
