With how Rook stalks Leona and Vil (is it really stalking with Vil if Vil is very much aware and consents enough for rook to be in the open?) if both of them date Jamil, would he also be stalked?

He's already hyper aware of his surroundings so adding rook into the mix feels like he should just get more time to sleep.

Thank you SO MUCH for asking! Lemme introduce you to Vil/Rook/Leona shipping, the sheer potential of Rook-Jamil, and my Rook metamour theory!

First, I'm a big Vil/Rook/Leona shipper. I call Rook/Leona the Hunter/Hunted ship. Who's the hunter? Who's the hunted? Who knows. As @aria-faye (THE Rook connoisseur who made me love Rook too lol) said, they both come from the same place, have the same culture, and are both somewhat outsiders in their own way. Rook doesn't really fit the Sunset Savanah stereotype or the Savanaclaw mentality in full. Leona doesn't fit the ideal of a prince and gets ostracized by his own people. Both of them work really well as a ship with Vil and it makes this funny Pomefiore-to-Savanaclaw pipeline with Rook in the middle, having been in both dorms.

For Jamil, once more quoting V "I feel like Rook kind of already keeps an eye on Jamil, a bit. He watches things he finds beautiful, and Jamil is definitely beautiful." Plus there didn't seem to be any adverse reaction from Jamil toward Rook for the entirety of book 5. And Rook is so desperately honest and true to himself that it contrasts completely with Jamil who still struggles to find himself after a lifetime of lying. He'd be a good push for Jamil to be more honest too, a good influence.

In relation to the N2 squad, here's my answer : METAMOUR. I'm already polyshipping 24/7, it might not yet be completely obvious in my blog but I ship more OT3 than actual couples. I work better with 3+ characters relationships than regular couples. So since Vil, Leona, and Jamil are already dating, why couldn't I add Rook too? He's not part of the N2 squad, but he's such a constant shadow to Vil that it's hard to imagine them away from each other. Leona and Jamil would start dating him fully knowing Rook is there and not leaving. Really, Rook would probably be Vil's first boyfriend before Leona and Jamil become a thing.

That doesn't mean Leona and Jamil would necessarily start dating Rook though, and that's where the metamour happens. They all share Vil, but whether there is a relationship between Leona and Rook, or Jamil and Rook is up to... my mood, mostly xD Or reader's interpretation I guess. Maybe they just get comfortable simply sharing Vil, maybe they have a sort of queer platonic relationship, maybe they're all dating.

I tend to treat Rook as a bonus when it comes to N2, because he doesn't fit the group, but it's hard to imagine him away, and he's so stupidly supportive that he'd probably be a good influence on forever-depressed-Leona and desperately-confused-Jamil.

Tldr : Jamil and Leona would start dating Vil knowing Rook would be there anyway, so if they ever feel uncomfortable about it they can only blame themselves.

Whenever I'm hungry and don't feel like doing something simple, I just mash together whatever leftovers need to he eaten soon and nuke it in the microwave. Usually the taste is slightly overwhelming, but not bad. Currently I'm eating diced overcooked steak, some strange spinach thing, crumbled tortilla chips, and Worcester sauce to try and mix the flavors. It's an affront to chefs everywhere but hey. It works.

Here's the retranslation of every scene with the Spring of Recollection in the game. Overall, her speech here is fairly close to what she says in Waral in-game, with a few details from her final appearance sprinkled in, like her care for Cain. It does misses a few nuances though, like the Legacy being more than just Dark Dragon.

I don't think I've ever seen art of the Spring, but notably, she gets a portrait in the GBA version, and it looks a lot like the manga design, with the slightly wavy hair and especially the blank eyes.

Obviously, the manga rushes through the plot since it's short, thus a lot of places are skipped. I didn't even feel like pointing them out before. However I will point out Waral not being here this time, because Waral happens to not be in the beta map either, and it has very contradicting lore between the ASCII guide and the World Book, meaning it might have not been well developed. Besides, Chapter 5 is very weirdly structured. You get two ship battles that are basically the same, you get to Waral by accident, you advance the plot by going to Ring Reef for no reason and everyone telling you it's off-limits while letting you waltz in anyway, and hardly anything happens in the shrine besides you hearing about the Manual, which is not even a big deal because you get to Rudo by accident later (two ship accidents!! why repeat this plot point!!) and would go to Dragonia anyway to help Bleu. Basically, I obviously can't prove it, but it wouldn't surprise me if the ocean shrine was initially thought off as only a plot scene, and the battles/town added much later for gameplay reasons.

Perhaps worth mentioning, the GBA version also makes a point to mention that Max got lost in the shrine alone, and everyone was worried about him, which does remind me a lot of the ship scene here.

i am just like you know luz is Thee main character right?? you know catradora was the whole plot of the show right??? no they’re not good because they’re representation that alone is not enough to make something a good ship (see: lumi/ty but also ch/oni) they’re good because they’re like. interesting and fleshed out characters. catradora and lu/mity and korrasami and bubbline aren’t showing up in the top 100 because they’re frequent side pairings in m/m fics like none of those fandoms have m/m ships that even compare in popularity. like not that this isn’t a larger problem of femslash ships (and like the preference for sanitized couples Is A Thing as well 100%) but like that is not what’s happening Here

omg yes so during hot mash summer I started writing a Bunch of mash fics maybe like 3 of them and the file is CALLED klinger but im pretty sure it had been shaping up to be a hawk/bj fic but there's literally only one scene written and it's this:

“So,” Klinger asks, leaning in close enough to Hawkeye that his nose brushes the other man’s cheek. “What’s the dish on that new captain of yours? Do we hate him?”

Hawkeye just barks out a laugh, as Klinger had been expecting, and spins him out so that he’s far back enough to see him roll his eyes before pulling him back to continue their waltz. “Not mine,” he replies, with a kind of forced lightness that Klinger’s not used to from him. “I’m done with captains, from here on out my sights are set firmly on lieutenants or below.”

The new captain in question, Hunnicutt, is sat at the bar nursing a beer and watching the two of them dance, a curious look on his face. Which, Klinger supposes, is fair enough. The guy’s only been in Korea a few hours, and you probably don’t get a lot of men dancing together stateside, even ones wearing – frankly quite stunning – pink taffeta dresses like Klinger’s.

Nobody else is paying them any mind – the girls never want to dance with Klinger (for fear of him outshining them, he’s always suspected), and they take Hawkeye’s offers to dance as lewd come-ons (which they often are), so it’s not rare for them to get up and start dancing together after a few drinks – and it makes BJ’s eyes on them all the more burning.

“He’s alright,” Hawkeye continues, glancing over Klinger’s head to get a look at him. “Very green, but he’s got potential. Good doctor, too, I think. Top 10 in his class at Stanford med.”

“At least you won’t be missing Trapper too much in the OR, then,” Klinger replies. It’s intended as a joke about how the more competent surgeons there are to balance out Frank’s ineptitude, the better, but it makes Hawkeye freeze in his tracks, his grip on Klinger’s hand getting tighter.

They stand like that for a few moments, not even so much as swaying to the music, and then just as suddenly Hawkeye’s let him go and the door is swinging shut behind him.

It’s not like Klinger doesn’t know, everyone knows. And if they weren’t as observant as Klinger, if they hadn’t noticed before, they certainly had after three days of putting up with Trapper frantically trying to get a hold of Hawkeye before he was shipped out. After that, even Radar knew.
