Judgement Gang - First Kiss

Slowly working through my requests, but I needed some fluff for the Judgement gang first because I don’t seem to get a ton of requests for these cutie patooties, and the Judgement masterlist was looking a lil sad compared to the Yakuza one ✨

Yagami:

The first kiss probably occurred before the two of you had even started dating, as this man took absolutely ages to ask you out. There would be so much chemistry and tension between the two of you, and I feel like everyone would know there was something going on, but it would be a sort of ‘will they, won’t they’ situation.

The two of you would be hanging out at a bar, just chatting away and having a cute old time. It would actually feel like a date with it being just the two of you, but whenever you meet up, you always insist to yourself that it’s just a friendly little catch up. At one point during the ‘non-date’, Yagami would just kind of pause and hold your gaze for a bit too long, and there would be a deafening silence lingering between the two of you. Before you know it, he’s leaning in, and you’re leaning in too, and suddenly his lips are against yours, gentle at first, but gradually gaining confidence as he feels you melting in to the kiss. You want this too.

It wouldn’t be a sexual kiss, but it definitely wouldn’t be innocent either. He’s been harbouring feelings for you for such a long time, and there’d definitely be a sense of longing in the kiss. His lips would just move against yours perfectly, his hands gently holding the back of your neck, tilting your head back ever so slightly, to deepen the kiss.

Afterwards, though he wouldn’t really be that embarrassed or flustered, he would feel a tiny bit bashful, and you might be able to spot the faintest of blushes on Yagami’s face, and he would cough awkwardly as the two of you pull apart, scooting away from each other slightly. If he noticed you acting rather shy, he would likely smile to himself, finding you absolutely adorable, and wishing he’d kissed you sooner if he knew he could elicit that reaction from you.

He would finally confess to you following the kiss, as he holds his drink between his hands and stares down at the glass, trying his best to appear casual, but he can’t quite meet your gaze just yet. He’d also suggest that the two of you arrange an actual date, a small smile working its way on to his face as you agree. He’d probably be kicking himself internally for taking so long to make his move, considering how easy it was to just kiss you. He’d be in a good mood for the rest of the night, making sure to walk you back home, before making his own way back to the office in a happy daze.

Kaito:

Your first kiss with Kaito would definitely occur at the end of your first date. He is a huge flirt, and a hopeless romantic, and is likely pretty experienced with dates. He knows what he’s doing, and how to score a second date.

Kaito would opt to walk you home after the date, planning on giving you a nice smooch as he drops you off at your front door. Very traditional, and it seems to work a treat. He would be a tiny bit giddy on the walk back with you, feeling all smitten, and the idea of kissing you would just make him feel so soft. You would probably be able guess straight away what’s coming next, by the way he stares down at you once you two stop outside your front door.

He’s not a shy man, and he’s got a decent amount of experience with dates and women, but with you, it would feel different. He wouldn’t exactly be bashful, but he might rub the back of his neck awkwardly as he stands before you, shuffling his feet about, before he finally just goes for it. You’d probably get a bit of a fright to be honest, as he would just suddenly move towards you quickly.

He would surprisingly gentle for the first kiss, but would still manage to leave you breathless. He wouldn’t use tongue, despite really wanting to, and he would keep it so innocent and sweet. You’d get the slight taste of tobacco when kissing him, mixed with the taste of flavoured chewing gum or a breath mint, which he sneakily used beforehand to try and mask the taste of tobacco. Instead, the two tastes would intertwine deliciously.

As much as he would want to try and keep the first kiss romantic and wholesome, if you did invite him in to your house after, he would definitely be down to fuck you, even if it is the first date. Man can’t resist an invitation like that from you, and the kiss would definitely leave him wanting more.

Higashi:

Higashi would have spent ages working up the courage to kiss you, and absolutely would have carefully planned it in his head. In fact, he’d likely overthink your first kiss completely, making it seem like a much scarier feat than it needs to be.

It would likely occur a couple of dates in to the relationship. He likes to take things slow. He would walk you home like a true gentleman, and the whole time he would be thinking about the upcoming kiss. He’d appear rather quiet and fidgety, and would desperately be trying to hide the fact that he’s a nervous wreck. You’d probably know something was up right away.

Though he’s nervous and a bit unsure of himself, he wouldn’t ask to kiss you first. He wouldn’t be able to get the words out without cringing. He’d probably just go for it. You two would be stood outside your home, an awkward silence falling as he internally battles himself about the kiss, almost chickening out. In the end, he’d just lean down, quick as a flash and before he can change his mind, placing a quick, gentle peck on your lips. He would try his best to appear casual after, but the blush on his cheeks would be a dead giveaway that he’s feeling rather shy. He’d attempt to clear his throat, gruffly blurting out an embarrassed goodbye/goodnight. Play with this babygirl a little. Grab a fistful of his shirt and pull him back in for another, deeper kiss. You’d almost give him a heart attack, albeit he’d still respond by eagerly kissing you back, his face practically on fire at this point.

Sugiura:

Clingy man Sugiura probably hangs out with you in between dates, even when the two of you start initially dating. He can’t stay away from you, so likely you’d see him almost every day. The kiss would take place during one of these random hangouts, and would be very spontaneous.

You two would be chilling on the rooftops, looking down at the busy city together and people watching, and it would just suddenly occur to Sugiura that this may be the perfect moment to finally kiss you. It’s just the two of you up here, and the view of the city is pretty amazing. He’d think it was sort of romantic.

Of course, he would be a little tease about it. He’d tap you on the shoulder to make you face him, a sly glint in his eye as he stares at you. He’d move very quickly, his lips crashing against yours. It wouldn’t just be a quick peck, and he’d definitely go for a deeper kiss that would leave the two of you breathless. He’d generally be his usual, cheeky self after, and would be wearing his signature smirk, but you’d definitely notice a nice, rosy hue to his cheeks.

It might turn in to a bit of a make-out session, to be honest. Sugiura has probably thought about kissing you for a long time, and now that he’s got a small taste of your lips? He can’t get enough. You two would just sit side by side, bodies angled to face one another, as you continue to kiss fervently, whilst the world passes by below.

It was dark in the room. Despite the blindfold, she could still tell the room was dimly lit. It was also sweltering. Sweat seemed to pour profusely from every part of her body which was handcuffed to the bed; hands above her head, legs to a spreader bar. She could squirm all she wanted to but the bar just spread her legs wider, showcasing the vibe that was totally drenched inside her gusting wet pussy, her whimpers and moans echoing across the room.

“Would you look at that? Her body may be trying to give up but the fire in those eyes…” The second voice who she can now see was the leader of the Yokohama Liumang, Zhao Tianyou as he toyed with the remote to the vibe. “Something tells me that there’s still some defiance in this one.” 

“Are you surprised? This is the same woman who put some of Japan’s most dangerous yakuza on their ass.” The fourth voice whom she could now pinpoint it to Kaito Masaharu, detective at Yagami Detective Agency as he sits her up with a bottle of water for her to drink.

“Don’t forget, Kaito-san; She’s also the leader of Armageddon, the most infamous gang in America.” The third was Kaito’s friend and partner, Yagami Takayuki. “Given their reputation, you don’t become leader by being a pushover.” He pushed some of her hair out of her face, examining her face for problems.

“And yet, despite her reputation, she still let us have our way with her. So it’s clear that she trusts us a lot in order to go through with this.” The first voice was revealed to be the second in command of the Geomijul, Joon-gi Han as he cleared the bed of toys and restraints to be cleaned later. 

“Indeed. So, Tabo, how is she?” Kaito asked him. 

“I think we should ask her.” Yagami said after he was done checking her over. “So what do you think? Think you can go a few rounds with us…Mor-chan?”

Morrigan raised her eyebrow at Yagami as she finished her bottle of water. “The real question is can you?” She then uses a little bit of her limited energy to crush the bottle. “Because the Morrigan Metro’s in the station. All aboard!” 

I think I'm do more of the short form content as opposed to the occasional long story every blue moon. Let me know what you guys think. 😁

Goro Majima has been a slave to Sagawa for longer than he cared to admit in an attempt to buy his way back into the fold, to no avail. The bastard was never a man of his word but that doesn't discourage Majima from working his ass off until he gets what he wants. Until then, he has been cautiously navigating a civvy life that has kept him sane for the last year and a half by making life in Sotenbori feel a little less bleak and lonely. Yagami Squad when they heard their s/o is pregnant

Yagami Takayuki

- Thanks to his profession as a Detective, he’s used to observing people’s change in behaviors, including yours. That’s why when you tried to hide your pregnancy from him, he noticed it right away and asked you about it. You were planning to hide this fact from him but nah, this was the moment.

- When you showed him the positive pregnancy test, his eyes widened in surprise, sure he knew something was off but he never knew he was going to be a dad this soon!

- The first few seconds of silence made you gulp nervously, a soft smile plastered on his face, and he embraced you tightly while whispering “I love you” and “Thank you”.

- As much as he wants to stay home with you, he still has to do his job as a detective but he makes it a routine to kiss you and your belly before he goes to work, you could feel the baby communicating with you by its little kicks.

- If he’s already this protective with you before the pregnancy, he’d be even more protective once the baby arrives! He even told Kaito and the others to look after you in case he’s busy with his detective job.

Kaito Masaharu

- He’s a passionate man and lover, who likes to express his love in every possible way, that’s why when you’re holding the positive pregnancy test he’s bursting with happiness. He’s smiling from ear to ear. He even throws his fist in the air and exclaims “Yes! Finally! I knew we could do it!” Afterall, the one who suggested for a baby was him and you were happy for you both.

- He’ll keep you safe, healthy, and satisfied with everything he can do. If he sees you carrying heavy stuff around, he’s going to grab it from your hands in an instant and tell you to sit and rest . “No no, I personally don’t think it’s good for our baby, how about you sit and rest, love?”, which is gonna end up with you complaining but agreeing in the end.

- He never forgets to tell how beautiful you are every single day, don’t even think about mentioning you look fat now and not as pretty as you look before. “Wha- baby, you’re carrying my child and you always look beautiful in my eyes.”

- He obviously can’t wait to have a kid running around the house calling him “daddy”, seeing their first steps and hearing their first words, the little creature would be the perfect symbol of your everlasting love.

Toru Higashi

- In conclusion, this man knows you better than yourself, he’s always aware of why you’re sick, when you’re on your period and how to comfort you. So when you starting to have these pregnancy symptoms like feeling nauseous and missing your periods, he had his own guess until you proved his guess was right by showing him the positive pregnancy test.

- He starts by pulling you in his warmth, a soft kiss on your lips and then your belly, you’ve always wanted to have children with him and seeing his reactions just made your determination stronger. For the rare times of him smiling, this is one of those moments where he smiles, he is definitely telling his aniki first before others. He won’t even let strangers get too close worrying they might bring harm to you in some or the other way.

- He becomes a lot more caring than before, if you crave something out of nowhere, he’ll definitely get it for you even if it’s midnight. In other words, anything you want, you get.

- He always thought he was so lucky to have you as his wife and this memory will be forever etched in his memory along with other fun ones with you.

Fumiya Sugiura

- “Is this… a pregnancy test?” Is the first sentence he said when you showed him the positive results. You gulped down, nodding nervously.

- “NO WAY, I’M GOING TO BE A DAD? WAIT, I NEED TO TELL EVERYONE ABOUT THIS!” He exclaimed loudly, that isn’t the reaction you had expected but it makes you feel better. He already sent a text to Yagami and the others at this point.

- The next thing he does is pulling you into a hug and kiss you. He grabs your shoulder for reassurance and blabbers about how he’s going to be a dad, whether the baby inside is gonna be a pretty girl like you or a cool guy like him, planning your baby room, what clothes are needed. “Y/N honey, should we go to the baby store after this?”

- He’s literally pacing back and forth around the room blabbering about the baby with teary eyes of excitement, repeating himself a few times about how proud he is of you and how thankful he is.

- He starts to kneel down in front of you to be on your belly’s height so he can embrace you that way and whisper things to the baby inside to be a good kid.

Your grumble was lost to the masses as your arms wrapped around Sugiura’s neck, his lean body tense against yours in a shameless embrace. There was a stutter in your chest when you felt his hands finding purchase on your back, pulling you securely against him, although you couldn’t say with certainty whether it had come from your heart or his.

Then again, it could also just have been the effect of the booming bass drumming all around you, amplifying its vibrations through your bodily contact. Either way, you felt warmth spread in your cheeks, for once thankful that nightclub’s had a tendency to be sparsely lit.

The one you found yourself in at the moment was very particular about its lighting. Hues of red and pink illuminated the dark, glass ornaments in the shape of water droplets hung from the ceiling above the dancefloor, breaking and reflecting the light, littering the room with light pink splashes of colour. From personal experience of nights out on the town during your college years, you could safely say that this was one of the nicer clubs you’d frequented, even if the amount of pink slightly made your eyes hurt.

Even bigger was the relief that you were currently facing away from the light show. Sugiura and you had found yourselves a hiding spot just a little ways away from the partying main crowd. It was the hallway leading to the toilets where you’d decided to take cover, considering it was mostly shrouded in darkness apart from an exit sign, backlighting Sugiura in a poisonous green glow. People passed you by, oblivious to your presence, just another couple enjoying a bit of peace and quiet in this hectic and most of all loud environment.

You had thought that your initial complaint had been swallowed by the noise but Sugiura’s hot breath hitting your exposed shoulder in a scoff told you otherwise.

"You and me both. I hate clubs."

"Yeah, yeah, I get it. I'll treat you to the finest ramen in town when this is over. How about that?" The distorted crackle of Yagami's voice coming from an earpiece in Sugiura’s ear barely carried over to you through the multitude of sounds. You moved your head closer, catching the next sentence a bit clearer.

"Do you see him?"

Despite having your back turned to the crowd, you immediately perked up at Yagami’s question. Staying glued to Sugiura’s front, you craned your neck as best you could until human shapes appeared in the corner of your vision. Attentively, your gaze swept across the room, scanning faces in quick succession; a nearly impossible task in this lighting and considering how packed the club was. People were bouncing to the music, their heads – more or less rhythmically – swinging from side to side, faces morphed with the shadows, obstructing your view.

Feeling your neck cramp up, you returned your head facing toward the exit sign away from the crowd. Sugiura's bleached hair tickled your cheek.

"What's he look like again?"

Before you could answer him, Kaito's gruff voice rang out over the earpiece, "Like a smug asshole."

"Very insightful, Kaito-san", you commented, unable to hide a smile at the obvious disdain in his tone.

"Please, focus", Higashi, ever the voice of reason, cut in before Kaito could fire some stupid line back at you. "He should be easy enough to spot thanks to the-"

Yagami finished his assessment of the target’s photo which had just been sent to his phone by the most recent client. His brows were set in an amused frown as the corners of his lips twitched in a futile attempt to hold in a derisive grin. He set his smartphone down on the table, spinning it around for you and the rest of the Yagami Detective Agency to take a closer look at.

“Do chicks nowadays really dig this kinda guy?” Kaito playfully nudged your shoulder with a large fist, the sudden force slightly rocking your body to the side. You quickly caught yourself, raising an eyebrow and shooting him a side-eyed glare. You shrugged.

“Not exactly my type, but I guess I get the appeal.”

When I See You Again

I played Judgement awhile back, can't wait for the second one in a few weeks. Of course I had millions of fanfic ideas while playing, and most of them centered on Kaito. Who can blame me? Anyways, this is a little something I wrote. Had to get the plot bunny out of my head before it started paying rent. lol Tagging @yakuzacasual​ cause their headcanons give me life.

After Kaito gets shot, Higashi takes him to someone who can help. A figure from his past.

Exhausted from the long day, Yagami climbed the stairs to his detective agency. The events of the day, Kaito-san being shot then kidnapped, Matsugane taking the bullet for Hamurai, the Mole being outed as Kuroiwa. It was so much, he felt almost numb.

The door swung open with a familiar creak. He perked up seeing Sugiura’s dyed hair, the younger man sitting in one of the office chairs.

“Sugiura…” Yagami greeted tiredly. The thief turned ally nodded in return as Yagami leaned against the back of the couch.

“Where’s Kaito-san? Is he okay?” Yagami knew the former yakuza was tough, but he wasn’t sure if he was ready for Sugiura’s answer.

“Doctor said he’ll be back on his feet in a few days,” he answered.

The dark-haired man let out a breath he wasn’t aware he was holding and nodded.

“It was strange though, it was an apartment just outside of Kamuroucho. Higashi gave me the address when Kaito-san refused to go to the hospital,” Sugiura said, raising his eyebrows.

“An apartment?”

“Turn here,” Higashi ordered Sugiura as he balanced his attention between the road and his aniki. Kaito was sprawled out on the van’s middle bench seat, his brow furrowed. The gauze covering his bullet wound was leaking crimson blood down his side, staining his trademarked white slacks.

“Where are we going?” Sugiura asked, glancing at the surrounding buildings. “A clinic?”

“No hospital,” Kaito groaned. “Not gonna be lying around when that bastard Mole is still out there.”

“It’s an old friend of ours. That building up there, on the right.”

“A doctor right?”

Kaito sat up when the car came to a stop, recognizing where they were. His eyes widened.

“Toru, if you are wanting to kill me, there are easier ways,” he joked, wincing when his side pulled.

Higashi chuckled, patting Kaito’s shoulder.

“I’m sure it won’t be that bad. Besides, with all the trouble tonight, all the regular docs are gonna be busy.”

The trio trekked up three flights of stairs, keeping an eye out for any passerbys. Leaving Kaito to lean on Suigara, Higashi knocked on a door, waving the other two to stand back.

The door cracked open, and a pair of brown eyes peered out.

“Higashi, what are you doing here? You look like shit.”

“Good evening Mai-chan. We need a favor.”

“We?”

The occupant opened the door further to see Sugiura holding up a leaning Kaito.

“Masaharu?” she choked out in surprise.

Sugiura prided himself on reading people, perhaps not to the extent of Yagami-san, but he wasn’t dense. And the emotions that flitted across Mai-chan's face were telling. ‘Old friend’ may have been a bit of an understatement.

“Come inside, quickly,” she ordered.

She opened the door completely, ushering the group inside.

In mere moments, she had gone from shocked to no-nonsense, pulling her hair up and clearing a low table. Mai pulled out a fresh sheet from a folded pile and smoothed it over the surface.

“Lay him here,” she instructed.

Kaito grunted as he reclined on the table. His open shirt fluttered open, revealing his built chest but more importantly, a gauze patch weeping blood.

“Higashi, grab my bag,” she asked, pointing to a case tucked away by the door. He tossed it to her, and she opened it, pulling out gloves, gauze, and other supplies. She removed the bandage carefully, grimacing when the wound oozed fresh blood without the cover.

Mai wiped the angry wound, trying to get a better view. When Kaito hissed, she dipped her head.

“Apologies... Kaito-san.”

As she worked, the other two watched intently. Higashi was pacing and Sugiura was leaning against the wall.

“I know Kaito-san and Higashi-san. Who are you?” she asked without looking up as she examined her patient’s torso.

The young man bowed his head, even though she could not see it.

“Apologies for intruding in your home, I’m Sugiura. I’m a friend of Yagami’s and Kaito-san,” he explained.

Higashi cleared his throat.

“And Higashi-san of course,” he added, throwing the disgruntled Yakuza an easy smile.

“Tch, brat,” he muttered, looking away.

Mai smiled at the banter but frowned almost immediately after.

“I don’t like that look,” Kaito said.

“Bullet is still in there. You’re gonna have to hold him down Higashi.”

He nodded, taking a kneeling position behind Kaito’s head, putting his weight on the wounded man’s shoulders.

“I know you are tough Kaito-san, but please remember to stay as still as possible and breathe,” Mai murmured, gazing into his eyes. He nodded and took a few steadying breaths.

As gently as she could, she dug into the wound, probing for the bullet. Kaito grunted and involuntarily jerked against Higashi’s hold. Mai pulled away, not wanting to accidentally tear his skin. She set down her tweezers and brushed his cheek with the back of her hand.

“Masaharu, please stay still.”

Sugiura watched the scene with interest. Kaito-san seemed to freeze when she touched his face, before relaxing. The older yakuza and the young woman definitely had some sort of history beyond friendship.

With a steady hand, she picked the tweezers back up, using her left hand to stabilize the entry wound. As she fished around for the bullet, Kaito grunted, but Higashi held him firm.

After a few agonizing moments, Mai had plucked the bullet from the ex-yakuza’s torso. She quickly pressed gauze to his skin to mop up the fresh blood.

“Hard part is over.”

Kaito let out a sigh of relief.

“I need a drink.”

“Going to give you something a bit stronger,” Mai replied.

With a sigh, she leaned back on her heels and wiped her forehead. After retrieving the bullet, the only thing left was to stitch up the wound, and that was finished quickly. She tossed her gloves to the side.

She retrieved a bottle of pills and handed him two and a cup of water. Kaito shrugged off the water and swallowed the pills dry. Higashi and Sugiura helped Kaito to the couch, his long legs hanging comically off the end.

“He’ll be okay,” Mai said, starting to clean up.

Higashi bowed deeply.

“Thank you Mai- Tamura-san. Please continue to look after my aniki.”

Kaito scoffed.

“I’m fine now,” he said, going to sit up, but Mai threw a glare that withered the man’s cocksure attitude.

“You get up, I’ll put another bullet in you,” she warned.

Higashi snorted, turning it into a cough when his aniki scowled at him.

“What about you, you look a little worse for wear,” Mai asked, motioning to his bruised face.

“I’m fine,” he said, waving off his concern.

“At least clean up, don’t need to scare my neighbors. I’m already going to get grief from having three men at my apartment this time of night,” she sassed, pointing to the hallway.

Sugiura helped her with the clean-up, tossing used gauze in the trash and carrying her tools to the kitchen.

With Kaito on the couch and Higashi in the bathroom, Sugiura took his chance to learn more about Mai-chan.

“Something tells me this isn’t the first time you’ve had to patch up a bleeding yakuza,” he mused out loud.

Mai shook her head.

“Fortunately it doesn’t happen often. But I can never say no to those two.”

“Kaito-san said something curious in the van. He thought you were going to kill him.”

Mai sighed and turned off the sink.

“Would you care for something to drink?” she asked, motioning towards her fridge.

The younger man nodded and gratefully accepted a cold drink.

“I have a complicated history with Kaito-san. It did not end well. Higashi-san, I know through Kaito and Yagami.”

She took a sip of her drink and sighed.

“Even so, I am glad Higashi brought Kaito tonight. Regardless of our relationship now, I still worry about the boys.”

She raised her brow and pointed her drink at Sugiura.

“I’d say don’t let them rope you into their shenanigans, but you are already here, so thank you, for keeping an eye on these idiots.”

Sugiura gave her a bright but tired smile.

“No problem, Mai-chan.”

Higashi entered the kitchen, still bruised of course, but cleaned up.

“Thank you, Tamura-san,” he said, tipping his head.

“Mai-chan,” she corrected, handing Higashi a drink as well.

“Well you almost look respectable,” she said, flicking his lapel where he had tried to blot the blood away. “How is it that you and Kaito look awful and this kid over here barely has a scratch? Don’t tell me you guys are getting old.”

Higashi swatted her hand away but gave her an easy smile.

“Always so annoying... Mai-chan,” he said affectionately.

The trio drank their drinks in silence, the older yakuza kept looking back towards the living room. Mai nudged him gently with her elbow.

“He’ll be okay, I promise.”

Sugiura finished his drink.

“I should probably head back to Yagami’s. Need a ride, Higashi?”

He nodded and finished his drink.

“Don’t let Kaito push you around Mai-chan,” he joked.

“I’m a pediatrician. I’m used to big babies,” she said with a smile.

Kaito was resting on her couch, Higashi and Sugiura long since left. She opened one of the sliding glass windows and lit a cigarette.

Mai took a deep drag, pulling her hair down and shaking it out. She cast her gaze back at Masaharu, no Kaito now. Had it been so long since she was even in the same room as him? Regardless of the years, he still looked the same. A few extra scars, a few more wrinkles at the corner of his eyes, but still the same. The same confident attitude too.

She sighed, taking another inhale. She looked at the cigarette between her fingers. An old habit from her younger days. Now she just kept a pack for hectic days, bad days. Twirling the cigarette she remembered sharing cigarettes with Kaito and Yagami, the trio always stirring up trouble in the streets of Kamurocho. A far cry from the straight-laced doctor she was today. She glanced at the pile of bloodied linens wadded up in a basket. Well, mostly straight-laced.

“Nasty habit for a doc,” Kaito teased from the couch, having woken from his nap.

“Some things are hard to quit,” she said, staring at the ember at the end of the cigarette.

He sat up, reaching for his discarded shirt.

“I should go. I don’t wanna bring trouble on your doorstep.”

“More than it already has?” Mai said wryly.

“Easy kitten,” Kaito grumbled as he tried to ease into his shirt. Mai’s heart fluttered at the casual use of his old nickname for her, but she stamped it down along with her cigarette.

“No, you need to take it easy,” she said, crossing the room to push him back down.

“You are not going anywhere. Besides, you should know my apartment is probably the safest place in Tokyo.” She took a seat on the low coffee table and took his arm to check his heartbeat.

“Is it still watched?”

“Hmm, sometimes, not so much anymore. But after a few run-ins, no one comes around anymore,” she said offhandedly, as she timed his bpm with her watch.

“You know, I half expected you to close the door in my face,” he mused out loud.

Mai’s grip on his arm faltered, her fingertips sliding down his pulse point as she let go of his arm.

“Do you really think that little of me?” she said softly. “I wasn’t the one who ran away, you know…”

Kaito sighed, scrubbing his hand through his cropped hair.

“Of course not... not that I would blame you. I was a bastard.”

“It was all for the best, right?” Mai said softly.

Kaito pressed his lips in a fine line.

“Yeah,” he replied, half-heartedly.

“Ya know, Yagami told me he saw you a few weeks ago. Something about a sewer clinic run by an ex-doctor?”

“Goro-san,” she admitted. “I pass supplies to him, help keep his clinic running,” she explained.

Kaito smirked and tsked at her scoldingly.

“Stealing medical supplies?”

“Donated medical supplies,” she corrected with a wink.

“Of course, of course.”

The duo lapsed into an awkward silence.

A cell phone trilled, bringing them out of their thoughts.

“It’s mine,” she said simply, crossing the room to where it vibrated in her purse.

“Probably Higashi, he’s become a bit of a mother hen,” Kaito joked.

Mai flashed him a mocking grin.

“Wonder who he learned that from?

“Hello, this is Tamura-san,” she answered.

“Yagami-san?”

Kaito perked up, hearing his friend’s name.

“Don’t worry, Kaito is alright-” she paused, listening to the call. Kaito’s brow furrowed as Mai’s hand started to shake.

With energy he didn’t know he had, he pulled himself off the plush couch to get to her side.

“Mai-chan, what is it?”

She wordlessly handed the phone to Kaito before walking towards her room.

“Tak, what happened?”

Kaito tensed up, feeling as if he were shot all over again. Disbelief and rage flooded his mind. His fist tightened around the phone and he had to flex his fingers to keep from cracking the screen. Matsugane, his mentor, his father figure, was dead. Took a bullet meant for Hamura. He thanked Yagami for the call and hung up.

Matsugane-san… He looked down the hallway where Mai-chan had disappeared. He tossed the phone on the table and followed her. Her bedroom door was open halfway. He knocked to announce his presence. What he saw nearly broke his heart.

Mai seemed to have aimed for her bed but came up short as if her legs buckled underneath her. Instead, she collapsed, half on the floor and half on her bed. He touched her shoulder and she turned, her eyes glassy.

“Oh Kitten, I’m so sorry,” he said, kneeling next to her. Mai scrubbed her eyes with her arm.

“No no, I’m sorry Kaito. Matsugane was more of a father to you than me. I feel like I have no right to be shedding these tears.”

He pulled her to her feet, before nudging her to sit down on her bed. He sat down next to her, his weight causing her to slide closer. He steadied her, wrapping his arm around her waist gently.

“He was your father, albeit in his own way.”

“We reconnected after I finished college. I think he finally sees me as more than a little girl who needs a bodyguard. We just had dinner a few weeks ago.” She shook her head and clenched her fist.

“I spent my whole childhood wanting a family. Then when I found out Matsugane was my father, I was so angry.”

“And I was angry at you. And Yagami, for lying to me. I said some things I regret. Especially to you.” Mai reached up and brushed her fingertips across his cheek. Kaito sucked in a deep breath and cradled her hand in his.

“I don’t blame you kitten,” he said, relishing the touch of her skin on his.

“Masaharu... “ she breathed, leaning into him. She trailed her fingers down his chest, rediscovering old memories. Kaito bit back a growl when her fingers dipped dangerously low.

“Mai-chan, as much as I missed you and want this, not tonight,” he said softly, bringing her hands away from his waistband.

“Not with your grief, and when we do, I want us both to be at 100%,” he said, gesturing to his wound.

Mai sagged against him.

“I don’t want to be alone anymore Masuhara,” she whispered against his chest. Kaito placed a kiss against her temple.

“I’m not going anywhere, kitten.”

Sugiura whistled low.

“Mai-chan is Matsugane’s daughter? Thought her last name was Tamura?”

“Her mother’s last name. Matsugane-san didn’t know about Mai-chan until she was twelve after her mother died. Mai lived with her relatives, and Matsugane-san kept an eye on her. He never wanted her to be affiliated with the ‘family’.”

“How did you guys meet her?”

Yagami winced.

“Kaito-san had watch duty, from a distance. I got curious and wanted to meet her. We became friends, only…”

“She didn’t realize who you really were,” the younger man supplied. “I’m guessing it didn’t end well when she found out.”

Yagami nodded, taking a drag of his cigarette. Mai-chan was heartbroken when she learned that he and Kaito were affiliated with Matsugane. Even worse when she realized her father was the head of the local yakuza family.

“She went off to college. Matsugane-san still watched her from afar, we all did.”

Sugiura nodded slowly, taking in the information.

“What a night for a reunion,” he said, shaking his head.

Sunlight filtered through the window, and Mai shifted in her bed. She reached out for Kaito in her half-awake state. When she couldn’t feel him, she sat up, rubbing her eyes.

“Still here kitten.”

She turned to see him at her balcony, smoking a cigarette. Even after being shot and patched up, Kaito seemed invincible.

“How are you feeling?” he asked.

“I should be asking you that,” she said, throwing off the covers and stretching. Kaito’s eyes were drawn to the sliver of skin that flashed when she raised her arms. Mai arched a brow when she noticed his staring.

“I’m fine, barely any pain.”

“I’m sure,” she said slyly.

Mai got up and joined him at the balcony, stealing his cigarette, taking a drag. The two stared out over the neighborhood, just barely waking up with the sun. The two finished the shared cigarette and contemplated last night’s events.

“Higashi called. The family is making funeral arrangements. He said he’d call you with the information.”

She nodded, knowing the Matsugane clan and by default, the Tojo family would handle all the arrangements.

“I can’t go with you,” he said softly. “I wish I could but-”

“I understand. You should be allowed to go, just as much as anyone. More than.”

Kaito sighed in agreement.

“I have work to do. We’re gonna get that bastard Mole.”

“I know you will. Between you, Yagami, Higashi, and Sugiura, he doesn’t have a chance.”

She reached up and carded her fingers through his hair, pulling the taller man down to her. Kaito leaned down, kissing his former love. Mai sighed into the kiss, having missed the feeling of his lips. Kaito trailed his hand down her shoulder, coming to a rest at the crook of her elbow. Mai pulled away reluctantly, staring up at him.

“Be safe Masaharu. I don’t wanna lose you too.”

“You won’t, I promise Mai.”

CAN I DO ANOTHER 101 WITH MY GOOB BOYZ? Always, Non. And damn, that was a good comback to writing after another break. Wish I could just pop out a few requests a week again because this pace just feels so unproductive, but at the end of the day I’m having fun even like that so, hope you’ll stick with my through my slow ass pace.

RELATIONSHIP 101 WITH Higashi and Kaito

TORU HIGASHI

Nicknames are just not his thing, he feels like it’d be too much of a fuss to try and use them in a way that won’t make them awkward or ill-timed. Your name with no honorifics feels much more personal to him, much more loving and delicate and thus he will mainly refer to you this way. He may try to change his ways in case you feel uncomfortable about the name, but it doesn’t get any better than some cute diminutives or maybe “my love” at best. Doesn’t mind any kind of nickname himself, anything goes.

Higashi is an avid lover of cinema, older movies specifically. He’d be the one to moan about how movies nowadays are not what they used to be and yet would still attend every premiere showing he could spare time. As a result of his passion, he enjoys taking you out for cinema dates the most! He always knows which of the current movies may interest you - will also gladly listen to your opinions or suggestions on the topic - which cinema has the most scrumptious snacks and he is always prepared with all kinds of discounts for anything one could imagine. During the showing, Higashi is most likely paying more attention to the movie than yourself, no talking allowed, but he will offer you his hand to hold just to make sure that you’re still here with him. Once out of the theater, he’d be absolutely elated to have a stimulating discussion about the plot, quality and all the such of what you’ve just witnessed, maybe over a glass of wine or other beverage of your choice.

This man is the tidiest person you’ll ever find in the history of Yakuza games and finds it very, very enjoyable to do house chores together. Even if you’re not sharing a living space just yet, he’d be glad to do some cleaning up if he’d over at yours anyways. And, if you’re not one for cleaning, he’s going to make sure to make it fun so that maybe his zeal will rub off on you. His favourite kind of chore to complete together would be grocery shopping, especially in the evenings or late at night. Nothing quite as relaxing as strolling through the cool, empty alleys with your beloved at your side, bantering about whatever comes. Making plans for tomorrow’s dinner, grabbing random stuff from discount, sharing small affections here and there, away from the few prying eyes.

He keeps you a secret from the gang for as long as physically possible. It’s not like he’s in any way ashamed of you. If anything, he’s slightly ashamed of them. Higashi fears they’d pester you a lot, not exactly believing that their personal bitch baby would actually score a partner and taking it upon themselves to make you prove yourself to them. Not like you really have to prove anything, he boasts when they do eventually do that, you are absolutely amazing and there is just no way he can see that but they won’t. Still, at the beginning of getting to know you, Kaito may come off as a bit protective over his past underling, though Higashi himself often states that he is just mocking him like that. Nevertheless, they’re going to protect you as their own. 

MASAHARU KAITO

Will use every nickname he can possibly come up with and you better be ready to get called the cheesiest, most embarrassing ones in the book on a daily basis. Are you lost, babygirl? Because sometimes you may just end up wishing you were. With time he will learn to best suit the nicknames to you, knowing which ones not you use and what other ones make you tick better than most, slowly replacing your name with it. At some point he started carrying around a note with your full name in case anyone asked, because he absolutely forgets anything beyond my buttercup. A nickname that will allow you to get back at him surprisingly exists and it’s the god forsaken word “daddy”. While it’s not like he’ll get offended or in any way angry, Kaito can’t help but feel his guts twisting uncomfortably in his belly. It’s weird, he says. The weirdest “word turns into kink for no reason” he’s ever seen and no matter how many times he’ll hear it, it just doesn’t sit well with him. He will never get used to you calling him that and will always adorably scrunch his nose, maybe pop his tongue if the context is making him feel specifically yucky.

Everyone and their mother knows you are his partner. He gloats about you so, so much and by the time he’s done it is hard to believe for anyone listening that you are anything short of a deity. You do not have a shrine yet, but let him run around like that some more and who knows.

His ideal date is just… Cuddles. Whenever, wherever, Kaito just wants to be together and hugging. That’s it. At times he may provide a more romantic setup like taking you for a ride on the outskirts of the town, where you can park on the side overlooking busy parts of the town or maybe set a little stargazing session on top of the building where Yagami resides. Usually it’s just him dragging you into the first available seating at the house. Surrounded by the embrace of these strong guns you cannot really escape. He may allow you to do some things in the background, though. As long as it does not disrupt his cuddling session.

Kaito would like to make you an integral part of his boyzband and that’s regardless of your gender. His closest friends, especially Yagami, are incredibly important to him and as a result their opinion of you does matter for him very much. It’s not like he’d dump you over their unfavourable views, though. Nothing as simple as that, but he can’t really hide that he wants his favourite people in the world to get along. He takes you out for all sorts of meetups, whether it be a gaming night at Charles, drinking in a bar or maybe some fancy gambling in the underground, he always wants you there with him. His friends are definitely going to love you, more so than they love Kaito or so the joke goes. They often try to act like they don’t understand what a person like yourself sees in their favourite numbskull, but at the end of the day they’re immensely grateful that you’re there for him.

Yagami:

Imagine this tired, exhausted man coming home after a long, hard day of work, and entering the apartment, just to find you sitting and waiting for him, all pretty in your lingerie. Yagami is gonna be speechless for a few seconds, and would probably do a double take, glancing at you for a quick second, before immediately taking a second look, not quite believing his eyes.

Once he’s gotten over the initial shock, he would wander over to get a better look at you, a small smile on his face as he asks ‘is this for me?’. His hands would immediately be on you, running over the delicate fabric of your lingerie, his eyes roaming over your body thoroughly. He’d get this glint in his eye, and he’d look about ready to just eat you up.

He’d grab a fistful of the material at your waist, before kissing you heatedly. He wouldn’t even bother taking it to the bedroom, he’s just going to pull you down on to the sofa with him, desperately trying to shove off his jacket without breaking the kiss.

I’m not very maternal, so I’m not massively confident with baby related topics (these requests are still welcome though ofc), but I gave it my best go. Also this turned into general ‘wanting a baby hcs’, as I struggled a bit. Hope that’s okay.

Yagami:

Yagami is just gonna fall silent at first, eyebrows shooting up and his jaw dropping slightly. He definitely would not have been expecting you to spring this on him so suddenly, and he probably would be suspicious, wondering if you’re serious or if this is some elaborate prank Kaito has roped you in on.

Once you assure him that no, it’s not a prank, and yes, you really want a baby, he’s just gonna pause and think. He would want to consider it first, debating if you two can afford a baby at the moment and if you have enough space in your shared apartment for a child. It’s a big decision to make, plus Yagami’s life and work isn’t always the most stable.

He would want to have a serious conversation about it with you beforehand. He doesn’t want to rush in to anything that the two of you may not be able to handle. However, once the two of you establish that you have the means to have and care for a baby, he is going to just light up, completely warming to the idea of starting a family. He never quite thought that he would ever start his own family, but he’s surprisingly hopeful of the idea now.

Sex when trying for a baby would almost be more tender and soft. He’d be a lot more gentle/affectionate than usual, and afterwards during post-sex cuddles, the two of you would find yourselves discussing little things about the baby, such as potential names, what kind of family trips you would like to go on, etc.

Kaito:

You are straight up going to render Kaito speechless. His brain is going to need a few moments to catch up to speed, and his face would just freeze as he asks ‘you want a baby?’

FIRST TIME KAITO VISITS THE APARTAMENT OF HIS PARTNER

Positively giddy to finally be able to see your living space. He feels like it’s a nice leap forward in your relationship, especially if you’ve been keeping him on his toes about the matter for a longer while or maybe alluded to letting him stay the night. All the way to your doorstep he’s walking around with the biggest grin on his face, throwing around different kinds of jokes to lighten the mood. He is especially proud of anything that may just have made you blush, even if you’re trying to act otherwise. He’s trying his absolute best to release any uncomfortable tension that may be building between you, but the truth is that where his hands are casually folded behind his head, his fingers fumble around nervously. Kaito is just being impatient, one would think.

What you don’t see, unless you’re mad perceptive, is how this impatience is more of an anxiety. Surprisingly enough, this man is actually pretty worried about the whole thing. He fears doing something stupid, accidentaly overstepping your boundaries and making you hate him somehow. Or worse, have blackmail material to talk with Yagami about for ages. A history for the books, one that you won’t forget until your children (human, furry or maybe just a bunch of your friends) hear all about the biggest, most embarrassing misbehaviour of the infamous Masaharu Kaito and then pass it on.

Once inside, he will take his sweet time exploring all the rooms available to him, paying attention to all the trinkets you may have out there and each and every detail he can absorb that may reveal some side to you that he has never known. As he checks out any photos that may be laying around, Kaito makes sure to ask about anyone unfamiliar appearing in them, followed by a cheerful laughter at how adorable you looked in that particular one you like the least. If you let him, this man would LOVE to respectfully go through your wardrobe and look for anything funky or things that catch his eye even though he’s never seen yourself wearing the piece of clothing. He may just try on some in case you have something his size or larger.

If you have any animals… Well, watch out. Kaito may just adopt them by the end of the night! Somehow he’s got a way with every creature you may be hiding away at your apartment, specifically the furry ones, to the point when one may start speculating that it must be single cat mom Yagami rubbing off on him. You must admit, though. It is kind of cute seeing him try to play fetch with your friend, even if they do not know what fetch is in the first place, and then gently snuggle with them on your couch as he lets you take care of the dinner. On that note, both having you cook for him and getting takeout is fine with him. While he’d die for you to make him something, because what’s lovelier than whatever his beloved would make (and yes, that foolish belief applies even if you are a horrendous cook, he loves your cooking still), learning something about the restaurants nearby is definitely a good knowledge to have for the future.

When you leave him alone for a moment for whatever case, Kaito can’t help it but let his mind wander. He thinks about what it would be like to share this apartament with you, waking to your lovely face every day. Maybe he’d even take up cooking himself just to make you some mean breakfast of choice every now and then. He’s got the dreamiest look on his face as you come back to your boyfriend daydreaming about your shared life and I don’t know who you are if you don’t try to sneak a nice picture. Kaito looks so handsome like that, after all… And who would dare not take the chance to embarrass him a bit. Yes, he is going to let you save the picture. WHEN THEY ARE SLEEPY WITH Higashi and Kaito

When deprived of sleep, Higashi becomes the biggest grumpy pants in existence. If he is unable to rest, so shall be every single person around him. Literally everyone and their mother gets to hear him tiredly ramble about how some assholes are keeping him awake with paperwork or what have you, while the truth of the matter being that he simply likes keeping himself busy, more often than not to the point of overworking. And he also doesn’t know how to say no, though he would like everyone to believe otherwise. Suffice to say no one is fooled and he ends up bringing some more work home. Right back to his partner, who gets subjected to his moaning equally as much, as anyone else. Some might say “Oh. A grumpy Higashi would be totally cute!!”. No. No he is not. He is the snippiest, snarkiest son of the gun and if you’re not used to it, you might just get hit by the ricochet of his poor mood. 

Remedy to the predicament is as simple, as it is complicated. Following the “woman on her period” procedure is the safest way to go. Try to avoid any topics that may get him additionally heated and instead find a way to pacify him. Being soft and caring, running your fingers through his messy hair as you talk him down from doing any more paperwork is almost guaranteed to work. It immediately lets Higashi let the tension leave his body and just focus on you - your touches, voice and general presence next to him. Optionally, you can just leave him to his misery. He definitely won’t hold it against you once he gets proper sleep and comes around, as he is very aware of this mood swing of his, and will be very, very sorry for being a bitch baby.

Definitely not much of a cuddler in bed, whenever he really needs rest. While hugging is nice and all, Higashi does need space to properly recharge his batteries.What you don’t realize is how much brain power such acts of affection require of him on a daily basis. Whenever the two of you lay tangled together in bed, slowly drifting to sleep, he always has to make sure that he won’t hurt you in case his body involuntarily moves at night or that he won’t be drooling when you wake up before him. It’s the little things he always pays attention to and you maybe don’t, that make the whole cuddling process additionally tiring to him (but very nice still, boy loves cuddles). All in all - a bigass overthinker, and on the sleepy days he just needs to rest from all that. Feel welcome to leave gentle touches or kisses on his skin, the butterfly types that won’t wake him up, it will definitely make his dreams a bit more enjoyable. Also, take off his glasses if in a rush to get to bed he forgets to do so himself.  He will absolutely adore you for it!

MASAHARU KAITO

Clingy baby demanding attention. Kaito absolutely hates sleeping on his own and will try all kinds of flirtatious or downright cunning tactics to get you to snuggle with him. There is simply no winning with his sleepy self, when he takes absolutely no “if”s, “or”s and “but”s you may present into account, and he knows it damn well. This is why the more you resist, the more entertaining it is for him. At some point it became sort of a game of wits between the two of you, where he tests how long can you last against his endearing shenanigans. And somehow he keeps on coming up with new ones, that never fail to, often quite literally, sweep you off your feet. These sleepy states are a very often thing for him, though maybe at some point it became less about getting some rest while being comfortably cuddled with his lover, and way more about this state of existence giving him a valid reason to get the hugs. If you play hard to get for long enough, he may even resort to begging. However, don’t expect that to come without a proper payback down the line! 

Him sleeping in an actual bed? Less likely than you think. Whenever it happens that he involuntarily falls asleep on his own, it is always the couch or sometimes even the kitchen chair. This man won’t even approach a bedroom if he knows that you ain’t there or won’t be for a longer while, that’s just how it has been always since you began sharing an apartment and no amount of talking could get him to change his mind.  And, of course, then he has the gall to complain to you for hours about his old man spine hurting, even though he is still nothing less of a young, dashing gentleman. He considers it one of his tactics to make sure that you understand how important it is for him that you let him snuggle you.

So, what about those sleepy snuggles he oh so adores? It really doesn’t matter to him much which one of you gets to be which spoon, but spooning is definitely involved. What he does enjoy, however, is to act like he really does care, especially if you are vocal about your preferred spot in this configuration. Not only will Kaito claim the spot for himself, but also tease you right into a short wrestling competition, just for the sake of seeing you a bit feisty. Once you have settled into your positions, give him a few minutes of gentle touches and soft kisses to your knuckles, before this man is absolutely out. Hello, yes. I am still not dead. Just, you know, busy. Some work here, some work there but most importantly I got my hands on the Baldur’s Gate 3 early access sooo yeah, the fact that I managed to squeeze in some writing in between playing for way too many hours is a blessing I did not expect.

I have had something similar slightly planned out before so I took the request idea and kind of merged them together into a weird amalgamat that I am not that unhappy with, actually. Thanks for that, Non! Definitely raised my spirits in those trying times we’re having to write something nice for my main boys again. Hope you’re doing great and will enjoy this little piece! WAYS TO CHEER UP THEIR PARTNERS WITH Yagami, Kaito, Sugiura

TAKAYUKI YAGAMI

At the very beginning of the relationship, this man made it his priority to learn how to differentiate between your moods. He may not be the most empathetic guy around and he is very much aware of this fact, so instead, Yagami tries to navigate you the best way his detective brain can - with observation and deduction. He dusts off all the books on body language reading he can find over at the lawyer office to then spend weeks, months even, studying the little quirks of your behaviour. What began as a serious research, slowly became his guilty pleasure. Rather than watch you for signs, more often than not he just gets lost in taking you in, no science just feeling of adoration. And with time Yagami realizes he can tell your mood and even predict it ahead of time at times without much thought or observation. It becomes as natural as estimating weather whenever he looks outside of the window. And whenever you resound a dark cloud ready to burst? He launches his special procedure.

Yagami is known for leaving you many thoughtful and encouraging notes everywhere he can whenever life gets tough and he is not here to reassure you. He’ll stick it onto and inside your laptop, put one into your dinner box and make sure he slips some more into different pockets of your bag. No matter the situation you find yourself in, you discover he has an incredible way with words, the simplest and yet most effective ones, that always make you feel supported without a fail. Sometimes, when the case is extremely dire, he may even try his hand at leaving small drawings.

He finds it very relaxing to spend time with the multiple random cats lounging around his agency, with some soft music playing for the vinyl in the background and he certainly does try to try it on you. There is simply no way that you could date this man and not either love, like or at very least tolerate his tendency to pick up strays. In the worst case scenario his partner could be someone highly allergic to his furry friends, but Yagami makes sure to have some anti-allergy medicine stashed away in his office for this occasion specifically, so that you can fully enjoy the experience of calmly petting a purring cat pile. In addition, the music he puts on is 100% suited to your preferences, something that would make you comfortable and feel right at home, as he offers you a warm hug. After all, he does hope his office is your home as much as it is his.

MASAHARU KAITO

Kaito has some really strong senses when it comes to emotional intelligence and after some time in relationship he definitely grows a radar that allows him to feel you having a bad day from miles away. There is no need for you to say anything and honestly, he doesn’t even need to see you for this miracle to work. He just knows. Question his superpower all you like, but there is no way for him to explain it either. It’s just something that has worked for him ever since he can remember having strong bonds with people and both Yagami and Higashi, being the platonic side of this coin, can definitely vouch for that. Even if you try to act like nothing's wrong, he will know. However, he will be hesitant to bring anything up in that case. Not because he believes your ruse and doesn’t worry, but rather hopes that there is a good reason for you to hide your worries. You’ll come around, tell him what’s wrong, he hopes. 

His best immediate way to brighten your mood are his fabled video calls. The “i’m an old man and don’t know how to hold my phone to not look like a dum-dum” kind, though this time around he is specifically making sure that the view from his camera is as unappealing and as funny as possible. And though it might seem like he’s only down to a clown, Kaito is ready to make a 180 degrees turn the moment he sees you are in need of proper reassurement. He’s got a full list of the reasons why he loves you and why you are so very special ready to fire like a gatling gun at any given moment in time. By the time he’s done with you not a single bad thought can remain!

Whenever a more physical solution is available, this bear of a man will lock you in a long hug and keep his hands on you for the remainder of the evening. You wanna go and read something? Sure hun, but only if you are ready to do so while sitting in his lap - or in between his legs depending on what you find most comfortable - as he affectionately nuzzles into you whispering all kinds of sweet nothings. Or maybe these are just very bad jokes, with him it’s hard to tell one from the other. Kaito understands times get tough and more often than not he believes there is probably nothing he can say that will make you feel better, so he resorts to this affection as his way of reassuring you that he is and will be there for you come what may. He is a good listener though, even if at times he forgets to nod as he gets lost in the lines of your face.

FUMIYA SUGIURA

Out of the three, he is neither a splendid observator, nor an emotional psychic and does need some guidance from you to understand that you’re in need of cheering up. Of course unless you are being extremely obvious about it - he ain’t that dense. It’s just that these little subtleties are not exactly his specialty and while he will be on the lookout for your body language if that is your main way of communicating, Sugiura will feel more comfortable if you are a bit more straightforward with him. He may even end up proposing choosing - or making a new one, just for you - a specific emote on the messaging app that you can send whenever you need his emotional support, but do not feel like or cannot share the details just yet. Let it also be known that he will never make you feel lesser for relying on this often, this way of communication was used to be made and rather than annoyed, he actually feels proud that it made you comfortable enough to use.

Once Sugiura has received the emote, his special supportive procedure is set into motion. It always begins with a cryptic message. Something that will not be obvious but at the very same time not difficult enough to leave you additionally vexed and relates to where he is going to materialize. It doesn’t matter if you are at work or not, he will find his way to you. By the time you figure it out or exhaust all your ideas, the redhead finds you with a big, goofy smirk on his face and his eyes are gleaming with fondness as he offers you himself for the taking. Whatever you need he will offer, be it a hug, a shoulder to cry on, someone to throw your worries at or maybe a tender kiss. He definitely tries to gently prod you into explaining the reason for your poor mood in case he can maybe give out some advice or exact a little revenge on whoever got his darling like this, but definitely won’t do anything you’d tell him not to. 

Should you rely on him to prepare an activity to occupy your mind, Sugiura will take you for a good ole evening of arcade crawling. There is nothing quite as stress relieving as partaking in various game types you can pick from, he believes, and he will make absolutely sure that you find exactly the type that will click for you. Not only that but he will also gladly teach you to play in case you’re less of a gamer than himself, especially if teaching requires a bit of hands-on assistance, as well as compete or play side by side with you. He might even let you win every now and then but you will never know. The end result is: you’re hopefully way less tense after a nice little date squashing the zombies with your boyfriend and definitely coming back with some neat prizes.

I am genuinely sorry to anyone who was expecting anything new, it’s still just little old me still only ever pumping out Higashi propaganada. And also Kaito got in on the ride! It’s been way too long since the last time I’ve written him, my big beefy baby man.. Missed him so much. It was an absolute BLAST to come up with those, thank you soooo much Non! A FIRST KISS WITH Higashi, Kaito

TORU HIGASHI

Higashi never planned for this to happen. Not in that way, at very least. One could even say that, in a very Higashi-like manner, he overplanned the whole first kiss thing to the point, where it just had to go wrong somewhere, anywhere. And so it did.

It starts off as a fairly normal date. Just the two of you strolling around the quieter outskirts of Kamurocho, taking in deep breaths of the cold air underneath an evening blanket filled with winter constellations shining ever so brightly. You are already long past the point of handholding, especially now, when your gloveless fingers would just freeze right off without this comforting, warm grip he has on them. He is not only used to that, you could even say Higashi got very nonchalant in how he treated this gesture now. There was no nervous shaking, no taking hands back to wipe off the sweat, no no. He'd hold your hand like it always belonged clasped together with his. With that base already comfortably covered, Higashi was ready to move it a step further. A kiss, the tame and respectful type on the cheek or on the nose is what he’s going for.

You arrive at your apartment after a nice, prolonged walk and your boyfriend is literally going nuts inside his mind. The moment of truth is almost upon him! All of his previous composure and coolness? Absolutely gone.You both just stand there in front of your door. You are waiting for something, anything really, while he overheats at the mere thought of implementing his plan. But how can he call himself a man, your man, if he can’t even give you a simple smooch! After a lengthy debate in his head, Higashi decides to just go for it, hoping his body language will be enough for you to get the message and not get scared or creeped out.

And then suddenly, as he is on his way for your cute, freezing nose, he just… Misses. Whether by his own miscalculation or your unexpected movement, his lips land right on yours, your noses bumping into each other. This is the least graceful kiss you’d ever imagine to get and yet it feels just right. Very Higashi, so to say. Clumsy, definitely shy and inexperienced but warm, so warm, and very gentlemanly. He is giving you a way out of this predicament, moves himself away slightly, but you just pull him right in. Whether you know what you are doing or just improvising, the only way to find your perfect kiss is to exercise! And Higashi is happy to oblige.

MASAHARU KAITO

It is no secret that Kaito is absolutely whipped by you. As in “I have a whole ass speech about how much I love you ready to unleash at any unsuspecting person that may fall into my trap and ask” kind of whipped. What is also not exactly surprising, is that he very much likes having you talk about your interests, especially if it is something he knows absolutely nothing about. While it certainly is entertaining to listen to you go on about something you enjoy, he is the kind of idiot that will do his absolute best to seem like he’s attentively listening and then not listen at all. Not because he means any disrespect, of course not! But at times good ole Kaito just needs to zone out a bit to the sound of your lovely voice and watch your face change expressions in all these ways he is so used to, but never gets tired off. In other words, he very much enjoys staring at you adoringly for just being you.

At this point in relationship, you’re used to his typical shenanigans. You know very well that no matter how good of an actor he may be, he’s not always listening to you pouring your heart out to him and you’ve grown to know exactly when that is the case. And, of course, it is one of these kinds of evenings, as both of you sit on the sofa with some tv show playing softly in the background. You got caught in his mischief again. It always starts with him asking a few innocent questions about your hobby, ones that he may have asked several times before and is doing it just for the kicks now. It doesn’t matter if you decide to humour his request, turn it down or just outright scold him, somehow he always weasels his way out of your reprimands and gets you right where he wants you. Talking.

Getting back at him ain’t as easy as it would seem, but you decide to try anyways. By completely changing the topic of your little presentation to not only something unrelated, but something completely ridiculous. It may be flat earth theories if nothing else, the shock value when he does let the words go to his brain is more than enough to wake him up from daydreaming about your lips. Or at least that is what you’d think would happen.

You should have known better. After all, Kaito is a wild card. The best wild card of your life, because the only reaction he has to your bold suggestions that the earth you stand on may just have a shape of pizza, is to mutter something about how gorgeous you are. Right before going in for a kiss. Your first ever kiss as partners! It’s surprisingly soft and fleeting, barely a touch of a butterfly to your lips and yet you can feel the smell of tobacco coming from his skin on your tongue. This feeling lingers for a longer while and you cannot wait to try it some more. Of course, so does he.
