You almost jump out of your skin from where you lounge on the couch. Your head snaps over to ii, already watching you. Had you not just been daydreaming about him, you might have been able to process this better, but it’s slightly alarming when he looks at you like he already knows exactly what you were thinking about.

“Huh?”

Is all you manage to get out. Your brain not able to catch up quick enough.

“You. You have five minutes.”

He repeats. He sticks his hand out and shows you five fingers, for extra effect. Then he juts his thumb out behind him, pointing down the hall.

“Get what you need and then get your ass in that bed.”

Your eyes follow where he’s pointing, your bedroom obviously being at the end of it. You pin him with a distant look, trying to piece together what the hell has gotten into him. But clearly your lack of action isn’t good enough for him.

“ii, what the fuck are you-“

“Five.”

He’s staring right through you. It’s like he can see and feel every single thought you have about him.

“Yeah I got it. Five minutes-“

“Four.”

He cuts you off again. Unmoving from where he stands.

“What are you-“

“Three.”

Oh yeah. Okay. That kicks your ass into gear. You’re up from where you were laying and you’re moving across the room before he can get the next number out. He watches you move. His lips quirked up just enough to give away his amusement. You pass by him as you move to the kitchen, even after all this time there’s still a little part of you that gets nervous around him.

He knows it. He likes it.

He lands a soft smack to your ass as you pass him. Never would he ever pass up the chance to get his hands on you whenever he can. Really, at this point, you’d be quite shocked if he didn’t.

You don’t even know what you’re preparing for. You assume he’s got something planned, and if history has taught you anything, you know a bottle of water and something easy to eat are musts when it comes to being in bed with ii. You grab what you can, getting some things for him too. You fill up your big water bottle, throw some ice cubes in it and make sure the lid is on tight. You scoop it up and walk towards your bedroom, ii having already made his way there. You walk in on him stripping his shirt off and leaving himself in boxers. The bedsheets already pulled back a little bit. The sound of you depositing the things you grabbed on your bedside table catches his attention. He eyes the things you got and a little laugh leaves him at your selection. Your eyes meet and he gives you a small smile.

“Relax. You won’t even need those.”

He says to you softly, coming around to where you stand and placing a kiss on your forehead.

“But I thought we were…”

You trail off, gesturing to the bed in an attempt to awkwardly tell him you assumed you were about to get your life ruined. His lips quirk again, this time a bit closer to a smile.

“Not quite. Maybe tonight.”

He says as he pulls away from you, choosing to stay cryptic. He leaves you standing there, less nervous than when you walked in but still extremely unsure about what the hell he wants right now. You try not to let his implication for his later plans get to you, but he reads you like a book.

“Stop it. Don’t think about that right now. Get undressed and get into bed. Don’t make me count you down again.”

His soft smile is like a drug, you want more of it every time you get it. You strip down to your underwear, matching ii, and you both get into bed together. The sheets are clean. He’s just got done remaking the bed, you can’t help the happy groan that slips from you when you realise. You sink further under the blankets and breathe them in. The sigh of pure comfort tells ii everything he needs to know.

“It’s nice, huh?”

He asks you, his voice so soft as he watches you with his own happy smile.

“So nice… I love clean sheets…”

This pulls a little laugh from him. He lets you enjoy the feeling for a few moments longer while he shuffles around to get himself comfortable.

“Alright. It’s my turn now.”

He mumbles to you, opening his arms for you to slot yourself into. His body is warm, his skin soft. He smells like him. It’s perfect. You take no shame in breathing him in. Pressing your nose into his neck and audibly enjoying every part of him.

His arms wrap around you, but instead of holding you like he normally does, this time they end up in your hair. His thick fingers digging into your scalp and dragging through the strands of hair he can get his fingers through. ii has strong fingers, after drumming for so long sometimes he forgets his own strength, but this is perfect.

So much so that it pulls a slightly surprised sound from you.

“This alright? Been thinking about doing this all day.”

He admits quietly, his hands still buried deep in your hair.

“Fuck, ii…”

Is the only response he gets. A delighted groan.

“Hmmm, I’ll take that as a yes…”

I murmurs into your hairline, leaving a soft kiss there.

“You were thinking about this? My hair?”

You ask him as best you can without slurring your words to an embarrassing level.

“Mhm, it looks so soft today. Smells different too. You use something new?”

He asks you, his nose still buried in your hairline, taking a good whiff of you just as you did to him.

“It’s your stuff… I ran out…”

You admit to him with a little smile pressed into his chest. You didn’t think he’d notice so fast. Figured you’d be able to get away with a wash or two with his shampoo and conditioner before getting new bottles of your own. Apparently you were absolutely stupid for assuming that.

“Fuck that’s what it is… you smell like me. I couldn’t figure it out.”

This time he takes a much deeper whiff of your hair, humming to himself, pleased with this revelation.

His fingers are still playing with your hair. Tangling them up in the strands and then digging his fingertips into your scalp just enough to turn your brain to mush every time he does it.

“Hope you don’t mind… didn’t think you’d clock it so soon.”

“Love, I notice the second you do something different. I noticed it the moment you stepped out of the shower this morning. You can’t hide anything from me.”

You can hear the smile in his voice again, either proud of himself for knowing you so well he’s able to pick up on the smallest of differences. Or, just amused that you thought you could hide anything from him at all. No matter the size.

“If you weren’t actively massaging my brain I might’ve been slightly terrified… or turned on… not sure yet…”

He huffs a soft laugh into your hairline, pleased that you’re enjoying this moment with him. He watches the way his hands card through your hair, loving the way it looks all wrapped up around his fingers.

“I can make you both at the same time, you know this.”

He says things like this so nonchalantly, it drives you nuts.

“You need to be neutered.”

You mumble into his chest, silently glad he’s unable to see the way your face undoubtedly turns red.

“No… I just need my love.”

He mumbles sappily, leaving little kisses along your hairline again. It sounds innocent enough but you know that not so deep down he’s having incredibly impure thoughts.

“Focus on the task at hand, hotshot.”

He smiles into your forehead. Tugging just slightly harder on a handful of hair than he has been. A warning.

He keeps a mental note to remind you to stop buying shampoo and conditioner. His one suits you much better. It suits him too. You smell like him. He’s beyond fucking delighted. This scratches an itch so deep in his brain. He can’t even try to explain just how much he loves it. Maybe just about as much as you love clean bedsheets.

my last spam i will leave u with is also! ever since i unlocked homecoming ssr yakumo and it's dropped that he made his own ceremonial clothing i became OBSESSED w the idea of grandma taking babkumo to The Crafting Circle of the village. maybe he needed a bit more immersion into human spaces before he started school so he's just cowering in grandmas lap while she's knitting and mending but slowly he starts just like wandering around, looking at all the things happening with all the crafters just letting this uncanny child gaze in wonder over all the comfort items and soft blankets and warm clothes being made. and then there's at least one giant ass loom and those things are HUGE and make a lot of clacking noises. babkumo inching closer to it but doing these big scared jumps every time it makes noise but he's just so O.O like this giant scary thing makes such nice things!!! he's been wrapped in scarves fresh off this thing!!! and then whoever is working the loom pushing the shuttle through and just patiently waiting for yakumo to very tentatively push it back toward them. tbh i don't even really think that's great weaving technique but idc we are socializing this yokai via fibers and stich-n-bitch. thank you again for the generosity and enthusiasm ;w;

the biggest, most copium agent 4 theory from this clown of an agent four enjoyer

apologies for the wait on this! i wanted to unlock all of the dev diaries to make sure i could squeeze out every last bit of lore...

anyways SIDE ORDER SPOILERS INCLUDING POSTGAME

so let's start with the common knowledge. most people know by this point that agent 4 has a palette. it's one of the first you get in the game, after pearl and marina's. to the surprise of nobody, it is a splattershot...

according to what marina says about the memverse, palettes are a portion of a person's soul dragged into the memverse. so agent 4's soul got dragged in here somehow. how did this happen, and why? there are a few possibilities...

marina mentions in her eighth dev diary that she needs someone to handle system security. she writes: "maybe i can ask that person cuttlefish introduced me to for help there." this is still pretty vague, but we know from smollusk's note on agent 4's palette that it is definitely agent 4. quote:

"THIS is who mawina wanted in charge of memverse security? this unfwappable, free-spirited so-and-so? i would never abide it!"

the question is: if agent 4 was intended to be security for the memverse, then where are they? this leads us to the parallel canon boss!

note that figure in the center. even though all descriptions for this boss describe it as "a lot like eight", it is clearly an inkling with its pointed ears and hair.

the hairstyle is significant, too. all art of this boss, including its icon, display it with the "haircut" style. why does this matter? because official art of agent 4 also uses this style:

on top of that, people have reported that if you have splatoon 2 save data on your switch, the boss will use whatever hairstyle your inkling uses in that game (with that inkling, of course, being agent 4). unfortunately, i forgot to take a screenshot of my save, but maybe someone could reblog this and confirm?

another thing to note about that agent 4-looking robot in the center is that they're wielding the order shot, which is the same weapon you get from agent 4's palette.

so what exactly am i getting at with all this? let's read a little more of smollusk's notes on agent 4...

"buut...no weason such stwength shouldn't be used to pwotect a world of order. an order defense force is MUCH cooler than a new squidbeak splatoon anyway!"

this phrasing is particularly interesting to me because it implies smollusk wants to, or already has utilized agent 4's strength in some way. additionally, smollusk regards fans of chaos in a very similar way. for almost all of them, he argues they must be "punished". examples:

"she must be PUNISHED!" - callie's palette

"her chaotic lies must be PUNISHED!" - shiver's palette

"for the sake of order, they all must be PUNISHED!" - frye's palette

"it annoys me, so he must be PUNISHED!" - big man's palette

"he must be PUNISHED!" - sheldon's palette

"i sentence him to PUNISHMENT!" - dj octavio's palette

almost all of these characters are on the side of "chaos". callie and dj octavio were on the chaos side of the final fest, while shiver, frye, and big man rep the splatlands, basically the land of chaos. no idea what smollusk's beef is with sheldon though that guy was neutral LOL

on the other hand, smollusk is notably softer with characters on the side of "order", like marie, murch, and marina (obviously). he still critiques them, but he doesn't sentence them to "punishment".

agent 4 was on the side of chaos in the final fest. so why didn't smollusk sentence them to "punishment"?

perhaps it's because smollusk is already making use of them...by using their soul to control the parallel canon boss!

think about it! the bosses of the tower are basically security, right? they keep you from reaching the top! since smollusk knows from marina that agent 4 was meant to be security, it could have pulled in their soul to fulfill that job. that's why agent 4's palette is there, and that's why we don't physically see them in the dlc! because they're grayscaled in the outside world!

…it is also definitely possible that the boss is just INSPIRED by agent 4, taken from marina's memories, or something like that. but i like this theory because it explains why agent 4's soul ended up in the memverse.

one other thing - i think the popular opinion is that the parallel canon boss are "robots", due to the way they move, their eyes glowing, the filter on their voice, etc...this is probably true, but have you ever wondered if the boss is actually a real inkling (a digital…real…inkling? you get the idea) if it was just a robot like the others, why would it specifically have ears and hair? not only that, but you can get the parallel mask from the priz shop:

which you wear on your face. what if this is the real agent four, wearing this parallel mask? their gray coloring could be because they're grayscaled! after all, we never actually see a representation of grayscaling in-game. the name implies that they'd actually turn gray in some way, maybe in the color of their tentacles. but this could be the most dramatic extent of it!

this is definitely a stretch, but you can consider it food for the die-hard agent 4 angsters out there. love you guys <3

Kingdoms and Empires Wiki Drop!

Sup guys, im releasing what i have done in the wiki today! In this post im only going to talk about the Wiki because I dont want to create an even more massive wall of text here than it already is. Please see the entire post on the forums thread!!! I solidified the lore (which means no more massive changes), set the foundations to the story (so i dont end up writing a shit ton and having to fucking rewrite everything anymore), and pretty much rewrote the canon lore until i reached a point where i literally cannot share it because itd be spoilers without the future rewrite (regarding the worldbuilding, all introduced characters and such are still the same, some just had minor tweeks, so nothing crazy like changing our old bodyguard Mary:

and turning her into our childhood friend lmao So the plan now is current wiki drop. A good amount of it will be hidden since alot of it is spoilers, so you get 39,174 thousand words of unlocked content out of about 50k words in the wiki. And that's without me transferring 90% of the Codex ingame to the wiki, so its ALL (okay like 85%) new words of content and lore! Dont worry, im dropping literally all extra work and focusing purely on playable updates now until i regain your guy's trust in me after being so radio silent.

I also know and recognize that this has gotta be annoying asf since what you guys really want is updates but after what happened with the Total War franchise (my beloved) and their lightning fast content pipeline and lack of upgrading their engine ended up destroying the health of the company and ruining fans trust in em, id rather invest on the long term than short term unlike them (meaning id rather have a set story, narrative line complete, and research resources so that i can use that to run wild in writing).

I made a history of the world as known to them, so much of it is subject to embellishment, lies, and "the victor writes history" trope.

The Interactive Outdated Map Yeahhh almost as soon as i published the map for the patreons it became outdated lmaoooo Nareth is much bigger than originally imagined, Argent is surrounded by mountain and forest tribes (think Hispania’s Lusitanian Wars or the Germanic Tribes type of vibe). The empire (being Imperial Chinese and Persian Empire inspired) also is surrounded by the these tribes, and the Imperial Province of Lymark is now the “Protectorate of the Western Regions” which basically means theyre the watchdogs of Western Nareth. Its funny because theyre also across the St. Hytera River, which is much like the Danube River, and will inevitably face the same issues Rome did with Dacia when they had a presence that extended the natural borders.

Hey I'm realizing that there is actually an audience out there for the Yui Ikari Dating Sim TM

So far its a cobbled together dating simulator made by teaching myself code—but it does remember past choices and respond to them. It's heavily story focused FOR RIGHT NOW as I have yet to finish drawn sprites for the characters. I'm using picrews as placeholders for now.

The story is a compilation of hints, references to various points in Evangelion media, and lore from the Rebuilds, manga, and 90s anime as well as headcanons.

You play as Gendo Ikari because it's my dating simulator, and I make the rules. He's autistic and traumatized, but you also have the option to make him the worst person ever through the multiple endings that can be unlocked. All you need to know is that there's an ending where Mari sends Gendo Femininomenon by Chappell Roan over AOL.

Yui is heavily based on my interpretation of her as the "outgoing" autistic and the ways she was harmed growing in a family governed by SEELE and studying under Fuyutsuki. Gendo is meant to read as an autistic abuse victim with AVPD.

I hope this all doesn't sound scary, it's actually really fun! I've gotten a lot of the code done already, so stick around if you want to see progress on that and the sprites.

Entry #1 It’s been years since my brother and I have been on the surface, as we didn't make it in time to the underground. My brother Sans did his best to protect us and made sure we ate our fill, we are currently in a cave that was once a den for a bear that my brother killed.

Entry #2 Sans has been teaching me to use magic and how to hunt, he also has been teaching me how to do other things as well. The lessons got harder once he found books from the humans, I like it though it’s nice to learn about the world.

Entry #3 We moved to an old cabin on Mt. Ebott that Sans found, it was my birthday a few days ago and my brother surprised me with a cake and a Lab kit. He must have found out about my love for science.

Entry #4 Sans came back injured today, I asked him what happened but he lied about what happened. He must have gone into the village at the foot of the mountain, as I saw the bag of new clothes he hid behind him.

Entry #8 I used Sans as the test subject, and it worked but I don’t know how well it worked on him. I needed to get bones from the graveyard in the village to fix Sans, as Sans was missing parts of his body.

Entry #9 Sans is now known as Project-Stein, as I can’t work on him knowing he was once my brother. But now I can without the guilt eating at my soul, as he isn’t my brother now but a test subject of my work. Even if I never really saw him as my brother.

Entry #10 My work is growing, thanks to using ir to get fresh human bodies and souls. I tested to see what different human souls do to my lab rat, It was interesting but I did lose sight in my right eye but it was worth it to know what I got from it.

I made him stay like that before replacing them as I made sure to make him dependent on me first, I did it by starving him and then making him repeat what he did wrong and told them I didn’t want to be mean but his actions force him to and the brat believed me. Pathic but it’s working.

I also figured out that the different souls allowed him to get stronger or weaker, the soul of Determination mixed with three different souls of Kindness, Bravery, and Perseverance made it almost impossible to kill. My work is pulling good results…

Entry #15 It’s now been around a thousand years since many human kids have passed through the mountain and into the underground, it was funny because I’ve grown used to being alone as the test subject doesn’t count as it is now just a play toy for me. It’s nice to work on my projects while playing with my toy, even though hearing the sounds it makes is music to my ears.

Rise of the Mammalians: Re-concept??

I'm supposed to be asleep right now, but I decided to jot down some notes for this idea and I got carried away... Basically, I've been thinking about my old complaints about Splatoon 3's story mode, and how I might reimagine it to make better use of its concepts and characters...and it was surprisingly easy??? I honestly didn't expect to finish outlining it in an hour...

I'd like to illustrate and flesh out some of these ideas later on, but for now just take a look. ^^

Enter the suspicious manhole to a sewer filled with fuzzy ooze

Octavio can still be the first boss you run into, looking for his missing Octarians (Grizz’s test subjects…I actually like this idea)

We can still fall into Alterna, which is less of an arctic outpost and more of a ‘decaying greenhouse’ sort of place, partially flooded with water. Grizzco supplies and merchandise (posters, slopsuits, weapons) will be strewn throughout, like it’s a giant indoor-outdoor warehouse.

Deep Cut (in disguise) frequents this place to collect golden eggs and other valuable treasures. They welcome you into their group, and guide you through the levels in place of the Squid Sisters.

In levels, you ‘borrow’ weapons much like you do in Salmon Run; choosing from a limited set for each challenge. Clear individual levels to make your way through an area, which takes place in Alterna’s subterranean laboratory. Because Grizz’s experiments are done, the fuzzy Octarians have been left there to run amok, making gameplay more or less the same as usual. ^^;

The boss of each area (out on the shores where the water is) is a King Salmonid. I guess we would need a third one…

Collect Golden Eggs to unlock tiers on your skill tree and upgrade Smallfry and your weapon (sort of informal Hero gear, I guess). Each King Salmonid will be protecting a filled egg basket, which is yours for the taking after you defeat them (after Deep Cut takes their cut, of course). Collecting certain overall amounts of golden eggs will unlock O.R.C.A.’s files. These will include not only Alterna lore, but information about Grizzco and the fuzzy ooze research it is currently overseeing.

I think O.R.C.A. can remain a neutral party, but it should also clearly be facilitating Grizz’s research and plans. Basically, it’s an amoral entity that only thinks about archiving information and keeping Alterna running. It isn’t really ‘siding’ with Grizz; it just happens to have a symbiotic dynamic with him that he takes advantage of.

Eventually you come across the giant hairy rocket launchpad. Whatever’s in there will be valuable, right?

When you enter Alterna Space Center, we finally come across the New Squidbeak Splatoon. Callie and Marie are searching for their grandfather yet again…he was the first to try to explore Alterna, and mysteriously went missing

The Squid Sisters give you new gear in exchange for helping them out (the formal Hero gear). They want to induct you as an Agent, although Deep Cut is opposed to this, preferring for you to remain the junior member of their own group. The two idol groups form a sort of friendly rivalry.

The rest of the game (ascending the rocket, Grizz’s background monologues, Octavio’s assist, space fight) can basically be the same as the canon.

5e Character Concept - Artificer Gunslinger

A character I want to play one day, is an Artificer Gunslinger, patterned after classic western gunmen. I haven't done all the theory-crafting that this would take, but the flavor I want is a wicked fast gunman, with a sharp mind, and a sharper tongue, whose primary weapon is a six-shooter. This would take a lot of communication with the Game Master, but the goal would be to use the Artificer's Infusions to empower the gunman's ammunition, rather than their weapon. Returning, or Empowered Weapon, would be shoe-ins for this. Additionally, with some Rule of Cool elements, once Spell-Storing Item is unlocked, you could store destructive spells like Heat Metal into a bullet. You'd only get one shot of the spell, but it would be cast at the range of Gun.

Additionally, with the Artificer's Attunement increases, the character could have a built in Fetch Quest. What I would use is something called Mary's Arsenal - A series of powerful magic bullets, where each one is considered a magic item requiring attunement. In-lore, these would be desperate, last-stand, Hail Mary Shots (hence the name), but a Returning Infusion would make them permanent buffs to your six-shooter. Each one would just need to be tracked in the barrel sequence, with an optional Bonus Action way to Spin the Barrel, if you wanted a chance to use the same Hail Mary twice.

The character's motivation could be something as simple as power for power's sake, but I'd play with a revenge quest. Family killed by an Archfiend, for example, something hopelessly stronger than a level 1 adventurer. The quest for Mary's Arsenal could then culminate in a showdown with this Big Bad, where the party can help the gunman claim their vengeance.

lore time pt 2: electric boogaloo (the kidnapping arc)

This is everything after the crossover part. TL;DR, we've just left Silly Gooberville and are now entering Unnecessary Angst County

Someone at the organization has detected an odd surge of magic somewhere in Paris. They report it to Isaac and Jean-Francois (if he's not incarcerated or dead or smth i dont remember), who, over time, are able to deduce that it's from the Bracelet of Tiamat. Perfect for them; they need to get their hands on it anyway, and the machine they're using to detect supernatural shit can also pinpoint its relative location

They want to wait a little bit longer, as it doesn't seem to be at the necessary level of power yet, but after a particularly intense spike following a short yet sudden absence (which was when Hera entered but they don't know that), they decide to start investigating then

Some time has passed, and everything has been pretty normal. Raphael rarely uses his powers, and if he does, he's secretive about them. He messes around more at home where he's not worried about being caught, and he doesn't like to wear the armband to sleep, but he's not too worried as the only ones in his apartment are himself, his girlfriend, and his dog. Little does he know he's being spied on >:]c

The night of the ninth day (so after three days of "investigation"), Raphael gets kidnapped. They manage to conduct their abduction well enough to not wake him, but Fondue does get up a little while later and gets a strange feeling that something's wrong. He sleepily goes into Raphael's room to check on him, only to find him missing, signs of a struggle (including a few unfamiliar scents), and the window closed but unlocked

He rushes to get Marie and drags her into his room. As soon as it clicks, she panics, puts on her jacket, and runs outside, hoping to find any sort of clues around the window or something. The two snoop around for a bit before, after finding nothing but their scent trail, calling Charlie to ask for help

Charlie decides not to wake his dad, even though Marie suggests getting him involved. She's pretty insistent, but she respects his wishes enough not to take action herself, although she makes sure he knows that she will if they can't handle it on their own

Fondue leads the others as he follows the scent towards the bad guys. I don't know where their HQ is, but they go there

Meanwhile, Raphael had woken up after they escaped through the window, but was quickly knocked out before he could cry for help. He wakes again only after they've already arrived at their destination and notices he's now in handcuffs, which he soon learns are blocking him from using his powers

He's handed off to some Chevaliers, who bring him to Jean-Francois. He is not at all surprised to see Raphael, but he does mutter something about "hoping it wouldn't be you..." (He's worried about Isaac flaking on their plan to siphon away his magic after realizing the one who now holds the Bracelet's powers is his son)

Raphael's still very scared (partially due to getting a little injured while trying to fight back), and Jean-Francois tries to calm him down by saying that they weren't going to hurt him and that he'd be fine. "It's a painless process," he says with a smile, but Raphael is somehow able to magically sense that something's off. He asks what they're going to do to him, but Jean-Francois doesn't answer, just telling the Chevaliers to take him away for a bit while they get prepared

They lock Raphael in a back closet with no windows and no way of exiting aside from the door, which is guarded by two Chevaliers. He still has the magicblocking handcuffs on, and despite searching the room thoroughly, he can't find anything he can use to pick the lock, so there's really nothing he can do :'(

While he's struggling to find a way to escape, Jean-Francois delivers the news to Isaac. He is very reluctant to tell him that the person they've kidnapped is Raphael, and, as expected, when he does finally reveal it, Isaac is not at all happy about it. Shocked and a little afraid, he demands to see his son before anything happens to him, and Jean-Francois brings him to him, telling some other guy to prepare the magic-stealing machine

Though Jean-Francois starts by walking to the closet, as soon as Isaac picks up on where they're keeping him, he rushes towards it, demanding a key from one of the guards and hastily opening the door, only to find Raphael on the floor, panicking. He bolts up and turns to face his father, tears already streaming down his face, and looks up at him as a million thoughts flood his mind and he struggles to find the words to express how he feels

Isaac is horrified; his son is now this inhuman beast whose magic he is soon going to siphon away, and he knows the process is a painful one. But alongside that, a growing part of him just can't believe that *this* is Raphael, that this dragon-like creature is his son

Raphael manages to stand and pleads for his father to help him, but Isaac just stands half-frozen, no idea how to respond. Jean-Francois suggests just bringing him to the extraction machine --- "why don't we just get it over with?" --- And Isaac hesitantly agrees

Stunned, Raphael protests, yelling, "But I'm your son! Why are you letting them do this to me?!"

"My son is a young boy named Raphael," Isaac responds, turning away and making room for the Chevaliers to take him, "not Phantom R, nor this... this monster. Forgive me, but we must finish what we have started."

Raphael has no idea what to say. Or what to do, for that matter. He's too shocked to even resist when the Chevaliers pull him out of the room and begin dragging him away. He keeps his eyes on Isaac, waiting for him too at least glance his way once more, but he never does

Out of nowhere, he hears something whizzing towards him, hitting one of the Chevaliers. He quickly pivots to see a soccer ball bounce off their armor and onto the ground

Charlie, Marie, and Fondue rush towards him, action scene ensues that I'm too lazy to write right now (Charlie has a gun btw), and they rescue Raphael as Chevaliers chase them down the winding halls of the HQ

Jean-Francois is furious, but a part of Isaac is grateful, though the disbelief still remains strong enough for him to not really see Raphael as Raphael anymore. Despite this, Jean-Francois convinces him to help him catch them

They follow the route of the Chevaliers for a moment before getting to a part of the building where there are multiple paths all leading to the same exit. They split up, and Isaac corners the group first. At that point, they had kicked some of the Chevaliers asses and had stopped to break Raphael out of his handcuffs. As soon as he sees Isaac, Charlie pulls out his pistol and demands that he get out of their way, but Isaac holds up his arms and continues to slowly walk towards them

He puts on a sympathetic smile and voice as he tries to convince Raphael that he only said those things because the others were there, that they would have hurt him if he disobeyed, but now he's able to help. Raphael wants to believe him, but his bullshit detector goes off immediately. He keeps up his guard, telling him that he knows he's lying, but Isaac protests, affirming that he didn't mean what he said and that he was terribly sorry for everything that was happening. Again, Raphael knows he's not telling the truth

Upset, hurt, and frankly pissed off, Raphael yells at his father, saying things like "How could you do this?! How could you betray me?!" He admits how alone he was before Fondue came into his life, how abandoned he's always felt, how hard he tried to forgive and forget and how impossible it was not to wonder if his search would be all for nothing --- stuff he hasn't even told his partners. He spills his heart out then and there, all while the area around them feels as though gravity is beginning to weaken and everyone else can see little embers flare up around him

Isaac is growing increasingly desperate to get him back with the Chevaliers, and he promises to explain everything if Raphael obliged. He's tempted, but Marie and Charlie demand he don't listen to him, because even though the levitation thing is growing stronger, the Chevaliers and Jean-Francois are still gaining up on them --- the levitation is only buying them time

It takes a second to convince him, but Raphael does listen to his partners and teleports them all home

The sun is beginning to cross the horizon, its rays slipping through the cityscape and his apartment windows, but the bedroom is still dark and cold. And after Raphael sits down on the bed, Marie and Fondue joining his sides just seconds later, the silence finally begins to set in for all of them. None of them know what to say...

Raphael can hardly believe what just happened, and he struggles to keep himself from crying. They all do what they can to comfort him, with Marie giving him a hug and letting him sob into her shoulder, Fondue handing him his favorite stuffed animal, and Charlie trying his best with some consoling words

After a bit, Raphael calms down and says he's gonna try to get some sleep. They all say goodnight (though Fondue ends up sleeping in his room tonight), but before Charlie can leave the apartment, Marie talks with him about what they should do about all this. They both decide that it would be best to tell his father about the kidnapping and their concerns that they aren't 100% safe

The next morning is spent mostly with police mumbo jumbo that I don't know enough about to describe. Marie and Charlie notice throughout the day how strangely calm and blasé Raphael is about the whole situation, even in private, almost as if it didn't happen. He also doesn't tell the cops about Isaac, just that he was nabbed by the same guys who caused the Hanging Garden events and managed to escape with the help of his partners and dog

Charlie is first to confront him about it, asking why he's so nonchalant about his kidnapping and the whole drama between him and his father, but Raphael avoids giving anything remotely close to a straight answer. He keeps up the act that everything's fine for as long as he can, though he falters from time to time, which only serves to make his partners even more worried

Marie tries to tell him to leave it alone for now, that Raphael's just Like This and that he'll tell them if something's seriously wrong, but Charlie presses 'x' to doubt and counters with, "You're sure he won't just keep it to himself?" to which Marie has no response. Regardless, they don't want to pressure him too much, so Charlie does end up doing as Marie asks, but they both keep it all in mind

Stir Crazy Au; Part: 2 Birds of a Feather Flock Together

This is Henry's introduction to the lore and also his wife WHO plays a much bigger part then before and will need her own post oh god mary ann im sorry girl we are we are going through it tonight.

Meet Henry Emily, local 12 year old boy who's just one of the many outcasts in a big city school (insert whatever state I pick later Maybe Missouri) Meet Henry Emily's history teacher who is about to change this kids life forever. Debatable if it's for the better or for worse. As you can expect Henry is bullied, and bullied hard. It's the 50's and his last name is Emily so ofc he's having all the slurs thrown at him along with rocks. He doesn't know what he did wrong, or how he can change it, he tries to change it but things just seem to stay the same no matter the age. So, his history teacher in a form of support points Henry, and his parents to a pen pal program. This is where Henry meets his best friend, maybe even some (I am some) would dare to say platonic soulmate, William Afton.

Unlike what this opening suggests they are far from friends when the letter writing first starts out. Will is being forced to write these letters for an English project, and does what every pissed off 12 year old does when they are forced to do something they don't like. He complains about it. A lot. Basically baiting Henry into an argument as a way to try to make up an excuse for why he can't do the project. (can't do the project if the person writing you is mad an uncooperative, right?) and boy howdy do words fly. This time it's a mix of biting witt, (as much wit as you can get from kids) Slurs (its the 50's idk what you expected not to mention kids don't know how deep slurs are they're kids repeating stuff that they just know is bad words to get a reaction out of someone an to be seen as grown up) the most baseless name calling and idiotic reasoning for a grudge you have ever seen. Now, dear reader of this post you may ask... "But- but why would Henry keep writing back, he was looking for a friend. Wouldn't he just quit and try to get connected to someone else."

To that I say simply this: William just so happened to be the straw that broke the camels back. As you can imagine this is YEARS of pent up rage and upset coming out of him after so long directed at a person who can take it and still comes back. (Granted he's forced to write back in these beginning letters but I digress.) During one of their many letter fights William mentions something that Henry has never heard of before (some British slang probs) which stops him in his tracks leading him to ask questions. Will replies in turn and suddenly this argumentative back and forth letter writing that had been going on for at least three months turns into a civil conversation. They simply seem to forget what they where doing lost in the interest of just how different the other's life is.

They both really want to meet each other in person but both parents are hesitant for different reasons. Also it doesn’t help the cost of tickets either way is expensive… So the two just have to be content with writing one another and sending pictures of each other. Now while the two aren’t on similar levels of…. Freak. Henry does have some less than stellar traits himself like the fact he finds no issue in recording someone who isn’t aware as long as it’s deemed for their safety. He’s pretty much able to wave some morals/respecting privacy if he thinks what he’s doing is way more important and will actively protect the other. Maybe a tad bit of stalking, but not as bad as William. He is NOT climbing through unlocked windows to get to his romantic interest. But, he would be following them around work/campus and constantly trying to talk to them, writing down notes of things they liked. Henry please….. Will and Henry probably talk about their lovers document- well actually more like Will does because when Henry talks about the doc he has on Mary Ann Will gets weirdly quiet and it gets weird (it’s because he hates that it’s not him </3) Mary Ann obviously doesn’t know Henry has this doc about her and she would most likely throw up and cry if she did. Now, to the bit I have been dying to write. Hehheeh- So, unlike Will who basically dropped everything and got married to his... 'girlfriend' is a questionable title since they weren’t dating before they decided to get married but okay… (They don’t get married until they reach America but forget all that we are here for MARY ANN.) Henry, has been dating Mary Ann ever since High School. They were high school sweethearts (church sweethearts) and before he left for college he proposed. She said yes, and the two agreed to get married after he finishes school. The issue? Henry had some… eye opening experiences at college, one of them being he realized he likes men. (Bisexual king) This weighs heavily on him since he’s not sure what Mary Ann would think about it. He lives on his own in an apartment and is going through said life crisis until he ignores it in favor of the fact William just showed up on his doorstep. But, even after the joy of meeting his best friend in person the issues still stand and it can’t be ignored forever.

Henry comes to the bright (no it’s not) conclusion that while he’s learned something new about himself he still very much loves Mary Ann and still wants to marry her. Just, maybe not right after college. William is cheering his head off (mentally) while Mary Ann grows more annoyed, and a bit scared of the thought of Henry leaving her. Not out of a place of love, though she tries to trick herself into believing it is, but from the fear of being seen as impure, as a woman thrown to the side, someone used where it will be harder for her to find a husband because of it. So, this turns into eight years where the church and his and her family are annoyed by it, and Henry keeps finding ways to push it off. (William tries to sabotage their relationship and fails) Mary Ann during these long eight years gets twitchy, worried that her perfect wedding, with a house an white picket fence an 1 child will be dashed away. What’s not helping her anxiety is the fact that everyone at church has something to say about the situation. There's an equal mix of people being blunt while others are passive aggressive with her to tear down her self esteem and belittle her. The pressure she’s being put under is mounting, she keeps getting treated badly at church for her unmarried status to the point she does something DEEPLY unthinkable to speed up the process. It goes against her religion, and everything she was taught. She has sex with Henry out of wedlock. She grieves after it, she feels tainted, impure. (There is so much to unpack from that babe) But, it had to be done in her eyes. Her plan was to claim she’s pregnant to rush the wedding as no one wants to have a baby out of wedlock. Her plan goes on without a hitch and the two finally get married. William hates every second of the ceremony. <3  The only issue was the pretend miscarriage but surprisingly William helped in that regard. And, by helped I mean he was a clingy little asshole and kept drawing Henry’s attention away from her (which he felt suuper guilty about post her ‘miscarriage’ feeling like it was his fault but babe it’s all fake I wonder if I should let him find that out that’d be pretty cool) Of course she can’t stay childless forever but the idea of having children is… daunting.

She won’t admit it to herself, but she doesn’t want to have any children.

for the post no one asked for but which i shall write nonetheless

now that Voyage has had time to settle, i am ready to put my thoughts into words that make some kind of cohesive sense, for my own benefit and hopefully some enjoyment for others

these are impressions gathered from the previews that Apple Music had available prior to album launch, my first listen-through during the twitch livestream with JD, as well as how all that has gelled over the last week and a half.

The Llandoger--first heard on the Jingle Jam stream and then the JJ concert, this one continues to be sheer fun. the Robbie energy is off the charts, the warmth of that refrain "we'll all be well tonight" really hits in the recorded version with the full chorus echo effect and feels like I'm hearing it live in a concert with the audience singing around me (which. will be made reality in less than three months AAAAH), there will be DANCING.

Whiskey Is the Life of Man--the banjo and the harmonies in this one are driven and intense and I really like that, but the overall sound is more growly and hard-drumming than my tastes generally lean toward. the "recording" sound effects in different places are pretty cool, and did i mention the harmonies. as;lkdjf for being my last favorite song if i were forced at plank-walking-point to rank them, I still admire the craft that went into it!

Proud Mary--this was one of the songs they did a YouTube version of that I would have been clamoring to be on the Kickstarter-unlocked studio sessions album if it hadn't already been on the Voyage tracklist, and the Voyage version is even richer. Instant head bopping, 10/10 no notes very excited to have this on my Spotify playlists now <3

Leaving of Liverpool--starts with a bang and loses zero of that energy. Some great a capella sections and again, very dancy. HYPED to hear this one live!

Mutiny--when I heard the preview on Apple I was happy for another comic Robbie song, and the full does not disappoint. Delightfully ironic, classic waltz with definite Sea of Thieves vibes (I say knowing only the SoT songs they've covered). I don't have a lot of words for this one but it's one of my favorites. Simply darling.

Skadi's Hammer--the Apple preview did NOT prepare me. I thought it was going to be a weird little dark song I wouldn't particularly care about beyond being happy for Andy's songwriting credit and. well. we all know how THAT turned out. you've already heard my livestream-night frothing at the mouth and I have since mostly overcome the full-body petrification that would strike me the first several times I listened to it, but AAH. the swooping shh and the drum and the harmonies and the imagery it's SO COOL if they're all going to be entirely immersive sensory experiences i need more andy songs in my headphones STAT please and thank you.

John the Red Nose--we joke about BIG HATCHETS AND CLEAVERS but that's really so fun and then the way it softens down for the last verse, giving the spare ribs to the poor? CHEF'S KISS BEAUTIFUL STRUCTURE the building and building and climax and then that gentle bit of kindness and charity als;kdjf again the ARTISTRY in the songs that couldn't even fit into my top say five or whatever is mind-blowing. the fiddle background is wonderful and the cold winter forest vibes are settling in properly after Skadi's harvest time.

Greenland Whale Fisheries--new harmonies! more deaths! a breath of fresh sea air after our visit to the forest! all good things in their familiar a capella trad style we love to see it

White Frontier--and now the seas have turned cold and the wind has picked up and the drums drums in the deep wait sorry wrong lore. the chorus absolutely slaps despite being about a lot of death. this doesn't quite hit my top tracks when I sit down and think about it, but it sure gets stuck in my head more than you'd expect for all that...xD

One Hundred Feet--a;sldkfjas;ldkfj;sadlk skadi's hammer hit me physically, but this one hit my feels. classic TLJ vibes. a pleasure to the ears, a wringing of the ol' heartstrings. i'm in love. there's something so comforting about Robbie's sad singing, isn't there? and the harmonies on that one change-up bit in a chorus near the end are absolute perfection. can't sing this one's praises enough.

Willie Taylor--girlboss time ft. some fun sound effects! dally dilly dumm dilly dumm dum dum dum dally dilly dum dilly all the wayyyy. a little funky for my tastes in places but not much more than Bonny Ship the Diamond which I sometimes have a hankering for regardless. I'm not clear on whether she killed Willie's new bride-to-be or not but I'd rather not know. Nicely eases you out of sad feels and gets you ready for funtimes.

Maggie's Ship--I believe this is what the people call a 'banger'? heavy on the cymbals but the slap bass goes hard. cacophonic in places, especially the end but. survivable. And a fun character sketch, Dave's lyric work here is delightfully twisty!

Shawneetown--what can I say. harmonies. stompability. pure joy. never gets old love love love.

Paddy West--THE closer of closers. restful without a jarring drop of momentum, engaging and funny to keep up the positive vibes of the last few songs, and the gradual attenuation at the end is BEAUTIFULLY done.

Overall I really admire how there's songs for such a variety of tastes on here, the artistry on display within that variety, and how structured the flow of the songlist is. It feels just like its name--truly a voyage in song.

Reea's How To: Break In 2 Evil Ending

whoaaaaa new ending time for me to be enslaved and forced to write another how to

so obviously in the badge it says that it involves wave 3's "The Brute" miniboss.

here are the two requirements:

you want to have full hp by the time the brute is in action. this does not mean full hp by wave 3, this means full hp by the time all the mini grunts are killed. otherwise, you wont be able to grab the crowbar

you want to have the entirety of the dream team. this means uncle pete, twado, and detective bradley beans. if you want tips on how to assemble all 3 of them then go check my "how to: perfect score" because i dont want to type that again

i actually dont know if this is a requirement but she quick-judges your score based on items and allat and then says "hm. you can join if" so maybe? maybe that matters? again, not sure

here are some preparations you might need to prepare:

a lot of food. i entered the final boss battle with no food and i almost died.

armor! armor is awesome. helps tank some hits.

at LEAST 4 in one stat and 3 in the other. 5 is great if you can

a team. if youre doing this solo my condolences

once you meet both requirements, the brute will drop one of his two crowbars and you need to grab it. the brute will get MAD and SAD and BAD, healing up to full and being "sent into a frenzy". this will unlock the evil ending. do be careful, because getting hit by frenzied brute will make you drop an item!

THERE ARE SPOILERS BELOW THIS TEXT FOR THE BOSS BATTLE! IF YOU DON'T WANT SPOILERS I RECOMMEND STOPPING HERE. THANK YOU :-)

during the evil ending, the first segment vs scary mary is normal. after you win against her she will let you onto the evil team (congrats! :D)

afterwards, detective bradley beans and uncle pete beat up scary mary and then detective bradley beans goes down to attack you.

bradley beans has 3 hearts and 3 attacks

grunts will run at him and he will use his umbrella to shoot them back at you, ragdolling you temporarily and doing a lot of damage

bradley will use his umbrella to fly into the air and throw papers at you like daggers.

pop quiz! 3 options and lava rising. pretty easy.

now to go more in depth about these attacks:

i don't think 1 needs much explaining. grunts go forwards, grunts get launched back. try to dodge them- it's like scary larry arrows but with a gun kind of

2 is.. annoying. three things go on here. first, he throws 3 papers like daggers and you need to dodge these. there are NO warning signs, you just need to see where and in what direction he throws the papers. after a bit he starts dropping paper balls which split into a massive ripple of smaller paper balls like a radius. you can jump over these and i do recommend you should.

also, a thing plays in the background featuring symbols. memorize the symbols and the numbers they're connected to because of

3! the pop quiz! lava rises and there are 3 platforms with different symbols on them. the quiz has 5 stages. pick the correct platform that has the correct symbol matching with the number 1 - 5 and this should be a peace of cake

How did you get into Ghost?

Well, I got into Ghost on a completely random Saturday night back in May, hah... Sometimes I have these bursts of unconditional love for music that make me listen to music for hours on end, and on this random Saturday I had one of them! I was off to bed, but, instead of actually sleeping, I stayed awake listening to music, and, at some point, my playlist was over and recommended songs started playing. And, well, it was a mix of known and unknown songs, as Spotify always does.

Mary On A Cross started playing, and I vividly remember opening my eyes in amazement when the final harmonies came in (I got goosebumps for real!) and unlocking my phone to check the name of the song. I replayed it. And replayed it. And replayed it! Then, I went to YouTube and discovered a live version of the song. Watched it. Didn't understand what was going on. Masked band members, face-painted singer... Felt strangely attracted to Papa... And the video was amazing. The harmonies! Then, I messaged a friend of mine who always sends me songs to listen and said "Hey! I have a song for you! It's so damn good!" and sent him the link to the song.

Before he listened to it, he said "I'll listen to it, but be aware that I'm prejudiced against this band" and I asked him why. He told me he had seen Ghost live when they opened for Iron Maiden back in 2013 (I guess?) and stated that "the concert had a fucking strange energy, I just wanted it to be over". I asked him why again, and he said that it all looked like a "fucking Satanic ritual" and sent me the link to the Year Zero music video. He said, "Listen to this and tell me what you think of it".

Well, I listened to it and I'm not gonna lie that I felt a bit unsure of what to think of it. It was... Odd, you know? But I... Liked it, hah... I had never listened to something like Year Zero... And was mesmerized by it. I didn't tell him that I liked the song, though... Just agreed with him that it was a fucking weird band. By the way, he listened to Mary On A Cross and said "Ohhhh, everyone is using this song on TikTok, so this is the song! Well, this one is good, better than the ones they sang when opening for Iron Maiden...". I simply said, "Oh, okay? I don't have TikTok, so whatever... I'm just glad you liked the song!"

On the next morning, I went to their profile on Spotify and played a few of their songs. That was when I fell down the rabbit hole :) However, it took a while for me understand Ghost, you know? I think it was only in July that I decided to search the band on Google, and find out that there was an intricate lore behind it, and, bang, here I am now...

Sorry for the long story... Just pretend we're having a sleepover and I've just spent half an hour telling you all of this while we eat our favorite snacks!

Favorite song and album?

Hmmmm, right now, in this very moment in time and space, Kaisarion and From The Pinnacle To The Pit are my favorite songs. And... Ceremony And Devotion is my favorite album! I already said too much, so I'm just gonna leave the answers here without explaining why, eheh...

Favorite Papa and Ghoul?

Probably Terzo... He mesmerizes me. The 2016 Hellfest concert has me in a chokehold for real... I saw a meme that said everyone new in the Ghost fandom would eventually fall for Terzo, it’s like a canon event. Well, for me it was so true! Anyway, I have a soft spot for Secondo...

And, uh, I don't know enough about the Ghouls (I ended up not going too far when reading about them, because I don't want to find out any of their identities) but my favorite ones are Dewdrop and Aeon (I guess?), but simply because they play the guitar and I do, too. I'd say Mountain too, since I have a soft spot for drummers...

Horror refs and homages in Hollow Cocoon

A small list of all the stuff I managed to catch on

Spoiler warnings for: Hollow Cocoon, Kuon, Silent Hill

The entire game seems like a giant homage to Kuon, Fromsoftware's unsung horror gem.

First we got a setting which is a giant mansion of a renown clan that fell into ruin due to supernatural events.

There's also an emphasis on silk worms, which was also one of the main thematic devices for Kuon. A normal human melds inside a cocoon to be 'reborn' as a different being and there's a death/rebirth cycle that's key.

Also the core relationship throughout the entire plot is two sisters who are deeply interconnected with both the lore and the emotional beats

The multiple endings are from Silent Hill, especially the UFO ending

The Utsuro ending also reminds me of the Rebirth ending for SH2, for some reason. It takes extra requirements to unlock a secret that's deeply involved with the lore and is less about the character arc for the protagonist.

The endings also hinge on the protagonist's choice on whether to be chained to his legacy or to move on and let the past sins of his clan to die and be forgotten. This seems to mirror a lot of the main branching point for the In Water and the Leave endings, whether or not James can accept responsibility and move on from self destruction

Then again I may be over reading because this is less of a Silent Hill thing but more of a general trope for multiple endings

The Mary san ending is a preexisting urban legend that follows the entire ending requirements to a tee. Your typical spooooky telephone urban legend mixed with your typical spooooooky haunted doll urban legend.

"Dark Horse" from Just Dance 2015! Uuu, that's such a good map! I remember that me and my cousin had a problem with setting up the ps4 camera and we choose this one as a test, because "it looks easy!". Well at that time - it wasn't for us, lmao

Uuu, nice question... I think, it's Eternyx and Carnivallium. Eternyx - I love dark atmosphere, songs and maps & Carnivallium - because I'm very curious about it + I like all these lights on maps, lol

Definitely "Animals" extreme - it's fast, it has a lot of wild (?) moves, it's intense and gosh, that flip on the floor, but still - it's one of the best extremes in this game, imo
