౨ৎ꣑ৎ(president) coriolanus defends you౨ৎ꣑ৎ fem reader x coriolanus snow (requested)
The domestic life had never been something Coriolanus had daydreamed about per se, but he'd known with the path he wanted it was nearly a given.
He'd known his choice in spouse would heavily influence the way this went. He'd aimed for someone pleasant, docile even.
You had been the best possible outcome. Though the marriage began as advantageous, he grew fond, and before he knew it, adoring.
Convinced you were sent by a higher power, he'd made sure to dress you in the best clothes, wrap you in the softest sheets, give you the best security money could buy. In addition, he gave what he had to you. His body was yours as well, and he made sure to remind you of the fact of it nearly every day.
His political pursuits only made him love you more, giving you an opportunity to shine in the spotlight. Sometimes he thought the public loved you more than he did, and he knew they loved you more than him. And he wouldn't have it any other way. You were a fine sight standing at his side at galas and dinners, photographing so well he wasn't convinced you weren't ethereal.
When you became pregnant, he rejoiced not just for the look of it, but for how miraculous you were. The sight of you carrying his child was a vision. And not that he cared as much, but it did wonders for his image to have a beautiful, glowing wife at his side, belly rounding with a baby.
Coriolanus marveled at the child after it was born, a son who was nothing short of a carbon copy of him. Motherhood suited you better than he could have dreamed, and the brightness you'd gained during your pregnancy made a home in you. He could hardly keep his hands off you, and he found you didn't want him to either.
The result of which was another bouncing baby boy, conceived less than a year after your first child was born. At this point, Coriolanus was in higher offices, and he had taken more time to be by your side, not wanting to miss a single second of anything.
Headlines far and wide praised the young, up-and-coming politician and his beautiful family, plastering the yearly portraits you commissioned across the front of magazines and newspapers. It was Panem's ideal, the four of you, and he used that image to propel him further and further up in politics, until he was up for the highest position in the country.
Presidency had been the end goal, of course, but he hadn't expected to reach it so soon. Once a boy with hardly a coin in his pocket, now a savvy, charming political powerhouse with a wife who was just the same.
The night he won his presidency, there were hours and hours of celebration, champagne and fireworks flowing freely. You hardly left his side, greeting dignitaries and senators, in a red gown he couldn't wait to unzip, dripping in diamonds he'd gifted you for the occasion. You looked every bit the perfect First Lady.
When the party had died down and he'd decided he wanted you all to himself, Coriolanus scooped you into his arms and whispered something to you that made you blush prettily. He started to kiss you once you were in the car and didn't stop all the way back to the mansion, up the stairs and into the bedroom. The children were long since put to bed, and he was excited to be alone with you.
"We did it," he whispered before he captured your lips yet again in a searing kiss. "You and me, darling. We'll run this country. We've got the world at our fingertips."
You traced his jaw delicately and slid your hand up to his hair, mussing his hair that'd stayed so perfect all night. "It's all you. You can do anything."
"Not without my wife," he murmured against your mouth. Coriolanus' hands grasped your hips, making you sigh and tug at his tie to loosen it. He ducked his head to your neck, lips trailing a tantalizing trail down to your collarbone. "My First Lady."
The way he said it made you shiver, and you pulled him by the shirt collar to the bed, pushing him down so you could sit on his lap, knees on either side of his thighs. He grasped your waist, leaning back slightly as you kissed him slowly, almost teasingly.
Your lips parted for a moment, and he opened his eyes to watch you breathe, your smooth fingers unhooking his top shirt buttons. He nearly turned liquid when your hand lingered there, tracing his collarbone. The way your face was so serene, he knew you were thinking about something intently.
Then you smiled, taking his face in your hands, your eyes flickering between his. Leaning forward, you gave him the softest, wispiest kiss, and whispered, "I'm pregnant."
Coriolanus pulled back ever so slightly, searching your face. When he found you were serious, a grin split across your features, and he fell so his back hit the bed, rolling over so he was hovering over you. His lips touched every bit of your face he could reach, conscious of your delighted giggles. The night truly couldn't have gotten any better.
Fresh off celebration, he leapt straight into his presidential duties, finding himself more productive than he'd ever been before. Of course, he kept a close eye on you as well, sticking to his usual routine for your pregnancies. If he had a particularly long day, you'd come up to his study and crawl into his lap despite his protests that you needed to rest.
"Can't sleep without you," you'd murmur, knowing that would make him come to bed. He was nearly conscious of what you were doing, but he allowed it to happen, defenseless against your wide eyes and soft touches.
Pregnancy didn't stop you from your responsibilities as the First Lady, and he was in awe of it. You hosted regular dinners and parties as easy as breathing, attended charity events and actual charities, from soup kitchens to schools, animal shelters to women's homes. Coriolanus was amazed by you, how you truly cared to use your position to make things better
You discussed your experiences with him as well, casually mentioning things he may want to take a look at in terms of conditions and laws. He was touched by your goodness of heart, and even though as president he didn't have the final say in everything, you inspired change, encouraged him to truly make things better, not just maintain order.
As the months in the first year of his term progressed, Coriolanus had made the acquaintance of quite a few figures in the Capitol's tree of politics, making nice with them for the sake of diplomacy. They were all eager to cozy up to him, of course, and he kept it in mind as he chose who to be seen with.
There were three senators in particular, who had wives, and children the same ages as yours and Coriolanus' two boys. He cautiously allowed them to become closer. The men were amiable enough and their wives were...well, he wasn't fond of them but you, pure sunshine in physical form, had nothing but good things to say about them, and he thanked the stars for your sweet disposition.
You suggested he have them over for tea one day, saying it would be good for all of them. The boys could have a few more friends their age, you could entertain the other wives, and Coriolanus could talk business with the men. An all-around win, you'd called it.
Of course he'd agreed, your hold on him influencing his decision as usual. He wouldn't dream of fighting your sway, as it'd always produced wonderful results in the past. Coriolanus had long learned to trust you.
The day of you were stunning in a soft red dress that accentuated your rounding belly, and he made sure to tell you how beautiful you looked several times before everyone arrived.
Ever the gracious hostess, you greeted the other wives gracefully, settling on one side of the room with them and the children, allowing Coriolanus and the senators to have a modicum of privacy. As well as this, it made it so he didn't have to interact with the women with whom, he'd confessed to you secretly, he wanted as little to do with as possible. It was like you'd read his mind, and he made a mental note to thank you later.
It began smoothly. The senators were friendly, and their political proposals were fine ideas. He took note of the better ones, already plotting a joint strategy in his head. Whenever he glanced to the other side of the room, you were smiling, and the children were content.
About an hour in, however, he noticed you stand and exit swiftly out of the corner of his eye. That was unusual. He didn't pay it any real mind though, until it had been ten minutes and you still hadn't returned.
Coriolanus got to his feet and excused himself, making his way into the hallway and scanning the space for you. He heard sniffling around the corner, and when he went to investigate, he found you with a hand over your mouth, eyes closed as tears streamed down your cheeks.
His face fell, and he immediately took you into his arms, folding you into his chest and holding your head there the way he knew you liked. "Darling, what's the matter? What happened? Are you feeling alright?"
You let out a breathy sob, shaking your head. "Nothing, it's nothing. I'm just emotional. I'm always emotional."
A bold-faced lie. Coriolanus had heard stories of pregnant women crying at the drop of the hat, but you'd never been that way. Not with either of your sons and so far, not at all with this baby either, six months in.
"You can tell me," he decided on saying, smoothing your hair under his hand. "I don't care how little you think it is. I'll fix it no matter what."
"It's stupid," you breathed, your arms grasping around his middle.
"Easier to make better, then," he kissed the top of your head, trying ot coax you into confessing.
That softened your resolve, and you took in a breath. Maybe you could sense he wouldn't relent. Maybe you felt safe enough to tell him. Either way, or both, you started talking.
"The other wives..." you started, and he bit his tongue. His opinion was already low of them, and he had a feeling whatever they'd done would sink it to the depths. "They were making...comments. About how many babies we've had."
His brow furrowed. He hadn't even realized that was something to make 'comments' on. "What did they say?"
"Have you noticed none of them have more than one?" you looked up at him, your teary eyes piercing his. And he realized he'd never taken that into account, but it was true. "They impli- said that it was low class, district was the word one of them used, to do what we've done and have multiple children."
In shock, Coriolanus smoothed a hand over your rosy cheek, brushing another tear away. "That's ridiculous. How could the number of children we have determine our status?"
"Apparently because I'm married to the president, I'd be neglecting my responsibilities by portraying myself as a 'housewife'," you whispered, not meeting his eyes at that part. "It comes across as undignified." He was about to contradict you, when you said more. "And they were talking about my charity work, saying I do too much and I shouldn't be neglecting our boys-" your breath hitched on the word, and a fresh wave of tears ensued.
Coriolanus let you bury your face into his chest once more, not caring if you got makeup on his collar. This was more serious than something that could be rendered with dry-cleaning.
He was in disbelief that anyone would dare say such things to you, such things that were so blatantly untrue. And to your face, no less. He almost admired the boldness of it. The audacity of Capitol women truly knew no bounds. He knew jealousy when he saw it, having been an active devotee of it for much of his life. These women had put you in an impossible spot. You couldn't be a good enough mother, or a good enough First Lady in their eyes. His mind worked quickly, and he knew what he needed to do.
Lifting your chin, Coriolanus said, "Will you look at me, sweetheart?" You obliged, and his heart broke at the look in your eyes. He lifted his hands to cradle your face, the corners of his lips twitching when you leaned slightly into his palm.
"You are a wonderful mother," he emphasized. "Our boys adore you. And you do beautiful work for all your charities. Do you know how many remarks I get about how caring and selfless my wife is?" Your tears slowed down, and that encouraged him to continue. "You're perfect. Anyone who says otherwise doesn't know what they're talking about."
That made you smile, and he relished in how pretty you looked even after you'd been crying. Coriolanus kissed your hairline gently, and pulled you in for another hug, rubbing your back. "Why don't you go upstairs and rest for a bit? I'll join you in a moment."
"What about-?"
"I'll take care of it," he interjected firmly when you remembered everyone still sitting in the drawing room. Coriolanus leaned down and pressed a gentle peck to your mouth, enough to make you smile a little more. "Go on up."
You left him, and he watched you walk down the hallway to the stairs, looking so small in the vast, grand expanse.
Somewhat regrettably, the senator's proposals would have to be rejected. Although maybe there was a way to twist them, so they were just different enough from their specific wording to make them seem like his. Maybe they would protest, but it didn't matter. Their wives had disrespected you, the center of Coriolanus' world, and so they wouldn't reap any benefits. And besides, nobody would believe them.
Perhaps it was a little early in his presidency to have someone ejected from society, but he would certainly try. Anyone who dared question you, his sweet, kind, darling wife, would have hell to pay.
Coriolanus was the president of Panem. He could do as he pleased.
And he'd exhaust every last resource to keep you happy by his side.

Here’s another Mount Rageon oc named Zircon, who is actually non-binary. They’re the ruler of Mount Rageous and the Auncle/legal guardian of Cerise. Despite the love for partying, Zircon is a fair, benevolent and firm leader with a serious commitment to their role, with the help of their siblings, their younger sister, Ruby and twin younger brothers, Agate and Alexandrite, who rule as prefects of the regions of Mount Rageous. They were voted by their people as the next leader after their parents retired and became the ruler but they never forget their family that they would gather together once a year to celebrate. They are very close to their sister, Quartzine, who not only became a prefect of another region, she is known for her unconventional approach to charity work, alongside her husband.
Tragedy struck when Zircon was summoned to the region where Quartzine and her husband were living and the entire family were given the news that they’re dying. In her last moments in life, Quartzine gave her daughter, Cerise to Zircon so that she may not only be kept safe, she would also grow up to become the Rageon that she wishes her to be. All of Mount Rageous mourned for the loss of Quartzine but Zircon kept their sister’s legacy alive as they raised Cerise to be a proper but kind and caring princess. Zircon adopted some orphans like Lux, Gloss, Silke, Cashmere, Glimmer, and Shimmer, who grew up to become friends with Cerise and they met Marvel in school. At one time, Cerise was saved by three platinum trolls, Linden, Aurora, and Twilight, to whom he was grateful for defending their niece and they were indebted to each other.
In the Band Together storyline, Zircon, alongside Cerise, Marvel, and their friends helped Branch, Poppy, Rose, and Tiny Diamond, alongside Linden, Aurora, and Twilight rescue the BroZone and had the guards arrest Velvet and Veneer but he offered to provide help for Veneer. They were also responsible for sending Crimp as an insider to pose as an assistant.
Their VC is Sam Smith, whose music video of the song, I’m Not Here To Make Friends inspired me to design Zircon.

D.S. x E.M. x K.M. x Reader pt. 6

Your P.O.V.
I was curled up in Damon's bedroom on the bed with Elijah watching Hamilton on the TV, the musical/play turned up to drown out the sounds of my father- sorry step-dad or whatever- screaming in the basement.
After I'd killed him- his blood had tasted amazing- he'd come back into transition. Klaus pretty much forced blood down his throat. After that, Marcel, Enzo, Kol, Klaus, and Damon had taken turns torturing him for hurting me.
What my dad had done to me had spread throughout the others. Freya, Bonnie, Caroline, Davina Rebekah, Vincent, and even Alaric had taken their own shots at him.
I hadn't expected Bonnie because she was sweet, but she was furious. And I hadn't expected Alaric, but I think he was thinking about his own daughters when he was punched dad in the face.
Freya had a little to much fun torturing dad with magic.
I hid upstairs with only Elijah for company as I wanted nothing to do with dad who wasn't really my dad and also because now I had mixed feelings. Every time I tried hating him, I remembered him flying me over his head at the beach in Florida and all the sweet things we had done before I turned fourteen.
Elijah was one of the only people who cared about me that didn't hurt Dad. Mostly, I think, because he understood I didn't really like it. So he indulged me in watching Hamilton and Harry Potter and Star Wars and whatever else I wanted to watch. We binge watched all the Marvel movies in three days.
"I have an idea." Elijah murmured as the play came to an end- I was crying of course because Alexander was dead.
"Hmm?" I asked, burrowing my head into his T-shirt. Over the few days, he had reluctantly been wearing T-shirts and sweatpants because I wanted him in comfortable clothes instead of fancy. It was definitely a strange sight to see.
I looked up at him when he didn't answer and smiled, tugging at his hair which he was growing out a little.
"I'm going to take you to Orlando." Elijah said, wrapping his arms around my waist. "We can go to Universal studios and your Harry Potter world. And we can visit animal kingdom and magic kingdom and I'll spoil you silly."
I was hesitant, even though it did sound immensely fun. "But all those humans. . . I don't know if I can control myself."
"I'll help you, I promise." Elijah murmured. "But you need to get out of the house."
I nodded because I knew he was right. "Let's bring Caroline and Ric so they can bring their kids too." I murmured. "Ric needs to get out of this house too."
Elijah nodded, "Okay."
We both stared at each other and I asked rather hesitantly, "And. . . Klaus and Damon?"
"We can't force them to come." Elijah murmured.
I fiddled with my daylight ring. The sapphire, emerald, and diamond fused together along with the colours of the bands along with some starlight so keep me from burning during the day. "Why are they still torturing him? It's been a week? Hasn't he felt enough pain?"
Elijah took my face in his hands. His chocolate eyes were so warm and his brown hair that was slowly becoming floppy again made me flush. How did I get gifted with my handsome men? "Personally, I won't touch him because I know you're unhappy with it. But if I could, I would torture him day and night for centuries for hurting you."
Why was my brain arguing with him? Elijah was speaking the truth: he had hurt me. But at the same time. . .
I burst into tears. "I don't understand! Why do I feel the need to defend him? I don't understand! Am I messed up? Elijah please help me!"
Elijah's face twisted in pain, gathering me in his arms, laying back to hold me to him. "He's your father. You loved him once and that's the part that wants to defend you. But Y/N, you know he's hurt you and he's hurt you in a way that you should never have been hurt. You aren't messed up, you're just confused."
"He's not even my father!" I said, pounding on Elijah's chest weakly.
"You believed he was for nineteen years. That's not something you forget overnight."
"Might take a hundred years, yeah?" I asked, smiling weakly, attempting a joke.
Elijah laughed softly, reaching up and cupping my face in his hands, "Yeah."
"When do you want to leave?" I asked, still a little nervous about being in large crowds.
"Well, I was thinking almost no one will be there in January, in a few weeks, cause everyone will be back in school. It would be relatively uncrowded."
I nodded, "That sounds nice. Do you want Hayley and Hope to come too?"
"No." Elijah said with zero hesitation. "But if you want to invite Freya, Vincent, Bonnie, and Enzo you can. They might like the magic of Disney and romance."
I grinned, "That sounds nice. I'll drop suggestions to Klaus and Damon. I would hate for them to think I left them out."
Elijah nodded kissing my temple.
Damon and Niklaus came upstairs as I was putting the next movies series on. I wrinkled my nose, hiding my face in Elijah's shirt at the smell of dad's vampire blood. Elijah put an arm around me.
They stripped their clothes and Damon laughed, "Twilight Y/N? Sparkling fairy vampires."
I scowled into Elijah's shirt.
"Damon leave it." Elijah said curtly.
"Is something wrong?" Klaus' voice was filled with anxiety and worry for me. I smiled a little, looking over at him.
"'Lijah and I were talking about all of us going to Disney as a family." I murmured. "Well at first, just us. But I thought maybe Ric would like to take the kids with Care. And of course, Bonnie and Enzo and Freya and Vincent might like to go as couples."
"Disney?" Damon cocked an eyebrow.
"And Universal studios." Elijah said behind me. "She's been wanting to go to Harry Potter world forever."
I smiled, nodding my head excitedly. "And 'Lijah promised he'd make sure I didn't feed on anyone."
"Well I'm all for it!" Nik said excitedly, clasping his hands together before reaching into the closet for a fresh T-shirt.
"Damon?" I asked hesitantly.
He looked so angry, not at me, but probably at dad. His eyes were distant and his head snapped towards me. "What?"
Elijah's arms tightened around me and I asked, "Do you- do you want to come?"
"I'm going to stay here." He extracted a stake from the top drawer and made his way out of the room again.
I felt sad, leaning against Elijah's arms and Nik read my face, "What's wrong? You know it doesn't mean he doesn't love you just because he's not going."
"That's not it." I mumbled, shutting the TV off and snuggling into Elijah to fall asleep. Nik said nothing more until they thought I was asleep.
"What is it Elijah?"
"She feels conflicted about how you're treating Y/F/N. She thinks he's been hurt enough." Elijah murmured softly.
Nik scoffed, "He hasn't felt enough pain for what he's done to her."
"Nik, if you and Damon don't just kill Y/F/N and get this over with, Damon is going to end up losing her. You might too."
Nik was silent and then said in a very angry voice, "He deserves to feel pain Elijah. He literally had his dick inside of her! He had hands tied behind her back! He had her gagged! And he had a knife beside him! If we hadn't gotten there when we had he might've killed her! He doesn't even feel guilty for it! It's disgusting!"
I peeked my eyes open to see his eyes were now yellow, boring into Elijah's chocolate ones. I quickly closed them again.
"Niklaus, you have to respect what she wants. You're angry that someone hurt her, fine. I am too. But it's also the man she grew up thinking was her father and I think it should ultimately be her decision of what wants to happen. Just rip his heart out and be done with it."
Nik was silent again until he finally muttered, "Fine. The sun's still out anyways."
"Meaning?" Elijah asked with a sigh.
"We'll have a bonfire. I'll invite everyone to come." Nik sounded delighted.
"Very well. I'll be staying here with Y/N." Elijah muttered, running a hand through my H/C hair.
"You don't want to see him burn alive?" Nik asked curiously.
"I do. But I don't want her to wake up alone either." Elijah muttered.
Nik sighed, sounding disappointed. "And here I was thinking you could be the one to light him on fire as you haven't had the pleasure of torturing him yet."
Elijah ignored him. Or at least, I thought he had ignored until he said, "Fine. Let me grab a suit. Maybe Davina will stay with her until I get back."
"I think Davina will like to watch." Nik said. "But maybe."
Nik walked out of the room and Elijah slid from the bed, tucking me under the covers. He kissed my forehead and murmured, "I'll be back soon princess."
And then even he was gone.
I sighed, grabbing a pillow and holding it like a stuffed animal. So they were going to burn dad? Elijah was going to set dad on fire.
No. Not dad.
I thought about what Klaus had said. How he'd been raping me, had tied me up, had possibly wanted to kill me. I sat up quickly. I knew exactly what I wanted to do.
Elijah P.O.V.
I fixed my tie in the mirror, green this time as Y/N had expressed a liking to me wearing green ties. Strange how I had taken into account all her opinions when doing things.
At the moment, Y/F/N was wearing a daylight ring, being held by Marcel and Niklaus. Davina had said she didn't want to miss out on this and so Y/N was left upstairs by herself. It worried me slightly, but Hayley, Elena, and Stefan were in the living room with Hope, Josie, and Lizzy so if she woke up, they'd tell her where we were.
Elena thought we were being absolutely barbaric and was angry with Damon, Caroline, and Bonnie. She blamed Klaus and Enzo for Caroline and Bonnie's eagerness for Y/F/N's execution. Truth was, Y/N was just their friend and they wanted to see her attacker suffer.
Freya and Bonnie bound Y/F/N to the wooden stake that was placed upright by Alaric and Vincent earlier that day.
"Let's get this over with." Rebekah huffed, eyeing Y/F/N with dislike. Alaric was leaning against the tree next to Damon, both of them had bourbons in their hands. They clinked them together.
I sighed, rolling my eyes at the theatrics. This was weird, it felt wrong, but as I looked into Y/F/N's eyes, I saw he had zero regrets there. I touched his hand, going to pull off the ring and saw into his mind. He didn't regret anything, his mind not even focusing on his death, but of all the times that he had fucked Y/N. Her pain, the way that she screamed and begged him to let her go. All because she looked like her mother.
That did it for me. I yanked the daylight ring off his hand, tossing it to Enzo who caught it in one hand, tucking it into his pocket.
Y/F/N started to burn and he started to scream and none of us watched in pity.
"STOP! END IT!" Y/F/N shouted.
Out of nowhere, there was a whistling sound, and a carved stake out of the same wood used to make Y/N's bed back at her own house pierced his heart.
The burning died down as his veins started to shrivel, blood draining as his heart was pierced, and turn gray.
We all spun to see Y/N standing there: blue jeans, purple T-shirt, red jacket, and white shoes. Her hair pulled back in a H/L ponytail. [sorry if you have short hair]. She had flung the stake at him. We all stared in a bit of shock.
"So." She asked with a bit of a smirk, "Can we got to Disney now?"
I relaxed, smiling, "Anything my princess wants."
~Two Years later~
"Y/S/N, get back here right now!" Y/N yelled at our son as he ran towards the road.
Damon swooped in front of him, picking him up under the arms, carrying him back to the house. Klaus, Y/N, and I all sighed in relief.
"You would think we could keep a better eye on him." Y/N grumbled.
The surgery that she had undergone gave her the ability to conceive, also making any children we had either Niklaus'- if we had sex on or around a full moon- or Damon's as he had also undergone the surgery.
Y/N had feared I would feel left out, but I didn't mind truly. In a way, they were still my children too.
She was pregnant again, one of the reasons that she couldn't move as fast as Damon. We found that as she was pregnant, it seemed to make her more human and her vampire senses were cut in half, though she still needed blood and could still move a littler faster than humans and also was still able to compel humans.
Y/S/N yawned in Damon's arms, closing his blue eyes- which he'd gotten from Damon- and fell fast asleep.
"Finally." Y/N muttered, leaning into Klaus' embrace. "I thought I'd have to stay awake for another few hours."
She thought it was her responsibility to take care of the boy 24-7, even when Niklaus, Damon, and I had all told her we would share in the responsibility of raising him.
"Come on love." Niklaus said, kissing the side of her head, "Let's go upstairs shall we."
"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?" Damon asked with a grin.
"You two are insatiable." I mumbled, taking Y/S/N out of Damon's arms.
"They're not the only ones." Y/N grinned, strutting towards me and throwing her arms around my neck, kissing my lips. "Come on Elijah." She tugged on my tie a little.
"Caroline!" I shouted and Caroline appeared from the girls' bedroom.
"Elijah?" Caroline asked, raising her eyebrow, flinging her blond hair over her shoulder in annoyance.
"I thought you should be forewarned that we're heading into the bedroom and we also need someone to watch Y/S/N." I explained.
Caroline smirked, rolling her eyes, jumping over the banister and landing in front of me. "Insatiable bastards."
"Unnecessary comments." I muttered.
"Ric! We're going out!" Caroline shouted, dashing back up to the room.
"Let's go." I said, kissing the side of Y/N's head.

Nancy! I need some help. I want to start a watch through of all of Chris’ work. Do you have or do you know a blog that has a comprehensive list of what’s worth watching and what’s not? Please and thank you! ❤️
I know IMDB is free but I’m also looking for what’s actually good and worth my time. 😅🫣
Oh! A comprehensive list? No, I don't know if anyone has that. I think people just make comments here and there about what they've seen and liked, and what they would suggest. I think there are only a handful of people who have seen every single project he's done. Even I can't say I've done that, as I've missed some of the earlier non-Marvel stuff, and some of this later stuff that's been on streamers I don't subscribe to. But, here, I'll start off listing what I've seen, what I would highly suggest or not, and hopefully people will pile on with reblog suggestions or comment suggestions!
(Okay, I'm not going to go in chronological order on this. I'm just winging it.)
Chris Marvel movies I would put on first: Captain America: the First Avenger, Captain America: the Winter Soldier. [I'd then put on Captain America: Civil War before the Avengers movies. But, honestly, I guess you sort of need to watch these movies in order for the interconnected plots.]
Really good movies where he showed he had some acting promise: Sunshine, Snowpiercer, Puncture (although that's really uneven), Street Kings, Knives Out, maybe Scott Pilgrim also goes in this category
Things that are silly fun for a rainy Sunday: Not Another Teen Movie, Cellular, The Losers, What's Your Number
Not that great, but I don't regret watching: Push, Before We Go, Gifted, RSDR
Things I will not watch again, and do sorta regret giving my time: both Fantastic Four films, Nanny Diaries, Battle for Terra, Playing It Cool, Loss of a Teardrop Diamond, London, Perfect Score, Fierce People
Things I haven't seen, and can't include: The Iceman, Defending Jacob, Ghosted (still, lol)

I read issue 63, and more unpopular opinions down the cut:
Well, let’s get the good things out of the way first. Silver truly wasn’t written as awfully as I had expected him to be. I would even go so far as to say he was mostly what I would expect of an in-character Silver: friendly, eager and strong, kinda smug about his powers, and not really suited at tackling social interactions like an argument so well. And the fact that Whisper believed him about Duo was not something I would have expected, truly. Though, since Duo is on the cover of issue 67, it leaves me wondering if the both of them will not be believed by Tangle and Lanolin... but more on covers and solicits later.
First Lanolin: because I truly do not get the feeling this girl is even supposed to be likeable in any way. Forgive me for saying it bluntly, but with basically every new appearance in the recent issues her characterisation has become more of an eyebrow-raising “Jesus, what a bitch” kind of thing for me. She’s got a lot of nerve mouthing off to a far more experienced fighter and telling him to “Next time, do better” when she herself admits that the Urban Warfare story went disastrously for the Diamond Cutters. Silver literally is a hero of the Resistance and Restoration: can you imagine her telling someone like Amy or Knuckles to do better? Silver is on equal footing with those examples (and furthermore saved the world from the Metal Virus with Super Sonic), so I truly do not see why Lanolin gets a free pass to be so disrespectful to him. And considering the whole purpose of this training was to “coordinate moves and communicate in the field”, laying the blame solely on Silver while defending Duo instead of making this a training moment for him too (or informing him that leaving someone to die is not the best course of action, even if he was frightened and did not know what to do) is even more striking to me. So again: is Lanolin simply supposed to be rude, bossy, short-tempered and haughty, or am I the only one who is seeing that?
And secondly, the solicit of 63 was simply incorrect.
Stuck in the past with no clear directive, Silver decides to spend some time with the Diamond Cutters and their new member. But he’s too busy being star-struck over Whisper to notice that he’s interrupting their training! Elsewhere, Sonic takes Blaze sightseeing so she can enjoy her vacation.
This did not happen in the comic, simple as that. He kind of fawns over the Diamond Cutters twice: when they invite him to train (page 2), and when telling Duo it’s cool he joined the Diamond Cutters (page 3). However, I must say that I am actually glad that the part of Silver fawning over Whisper and therefore being disruptive did not happen. Though I strongly dislike Lanolin’s reaction, what we got with Duo buttering Silver up and then abandoning him after he got Silver in trouble is much more preferable over Silver himself causing trouble and unjustly so by marvelling over Whisper too much. And I can forgive Whisper not speaking up during the training itself by figuring that Mimic would perhaps have attacked the four of them and put Tangle and Lanolin in danger, even if that was not outright shown. I don't want to take the more cynical route of her knowing that Lanolin would have reacted the same way as she did to Silver.
But to bring back the point from my first paragraph, since the solicit for issue 63 was incorrect, I wonder if that then means that the cover for issue 67 also is. If it is incorrect, it likely would mean Duo is caught as Mimic which would put a very quick end to this storyline... but if it is not incorrect, it would mean both Whisper and Silver are somehow not believed by Tangle and Lanolin. Considering Lanolin’s reaction to Silver literally nearly dying (because the Giant Chopper makes for a 1-hit KO in Generations), I would still heavily prefer the former over anything she can say to disregard Silver and Whisper for the latter.
#silver the hedgehog#idw sonic#let me assure you that it takes a lot of work for me to dislike a character so I am not saying this lightly#it's definitely because she is acting this way to Silver specifically and he is my favourite but if she'd said it to anyone else of the-#-cast like the above-mentioned Knuckles and Amy I would have found it equally disrespectful and eyebrow-raising#fans don't look#just in case#idw sonic spoilers

Sir, if you don't mind, could you please answer a few questions: 1) What are the differences between the Greek tinanes and those from the boiling islands. 2) How do the demigods see Zagreues from Hades and how did Percy Jackson get along and how do they get along? 3) Asterion from Hades met Percy Jackson and if he did, how do they get along? 4) How did Nico and Hazel get along with Zagreus? 5) How powerful was he? bill chiper from gravity falls has comparison with the gods, the diamonds and the celestials 6) there is some entity higher than the celestials such as the living court or entity
I don't mind, but please don't send me repeated questions! Feel free to use this format with multiple questions or ask them individually, but don't ask them twice (or more), it just clogs up my inbox xD
Sometimes I answer asks as soon as I get them (typically simple answers and a slow work day lol), but I usually take at least a day or two to get to most questions (and sometimes a lot more, sorry to the peeps at the bottom of my inbox, I'll get to them eventually, I promise!)
Anyway...
1 - They're completely unrelated, aside from being divine creatures of incredible power (though BI Titans have to grow into, haha). I guess you could say the Titans are actually immortal and bound to Earth like the Olympian and many other deities, whereas the BI Titans didn't really have those limitations (and in fact, dimensional travel is literally in their blood)
2 - Zagreus is a pretty obscure deity, even for demigods. Their instruction generally focuses more on keeping them alive, teaching them how to fight, defend themselves, and wield their divine power - learning about mythical figures beyond the most relevant ones is something only a few demigods care to do (like Annabeth, for example). Zag has no demigod children, and he literally can't leave the Underworld aside from very specific circumstances, so any non-Hades demigods who've met him did so after death (and have probably fought him as part of his jaunts through Elysium). Sorry to say, but Percy has never met him (nor do I think he knows about him at all haha)
3 - He also has not met Asterius. I figure if he did, he'd immediately assume it's the monster that "killed" his mom back when he was first introduced to his Greek heritage, and Asterius wouldn't care to dissuade him from a fight. I'm sure Percy would chill out (somewhat) once he figures out the difference, but I doubt he'd make much of an effort to get along with him.
4 - It's kind of awkward. Zag may be almost nothing like Hades (aside from brief flashes of temper in battle and rather lacking social skills when things get serious), so he's a lot more agreeable, but they also have very little in common with him. Hazel doesn't relish the fight or exude the same confidence as he does, Nico lacks the optimistic outlook and easygoing personality, and even though Zag understands it's not their fault, he's not exactly cool with Hades having demigod kids. They've gotten along decently well, the few times they've met, but you can tell there's some tension there.
5 - I would put Bill Cipher quite a ways above a god in terms of raw power, sure, but he does have a very glaring Achilles' heel, which was obviously exploited by the elder Pines twins and ultimately killed him.
6 - Again, I hasten to point out that Kverse!Celestials don't work the same way as Marvel!Celestials. A Celestial is the ultimate life form in the entire setting - it is naturally omnipotent, omniscient, absolutely impossible to kill or even harm. They may choose to take any form, and exert their power in any way they choose - and often choose to limit themselves in some way to make their unending, beginningless existences a bit more interesting, but they can easily unburden themselves if they so choose. There is no entity above them - anything that might look that way is just a Celestial that's taken another form, and that the other Celestials allow to act in that way for whatever reason.

Second Chance
Hello, me again! I just got back from re-reading Snap, and I was wondering if we could get a little peek at how the second chance rule went when it was first implemented? (Nooooo, this isn't a thinly veiled excuse to read more hurt/comfort, what are talking about?) – diamond-blade
Read on Ao3 Snap (not necessary, but perhaps explanatory)
Warnings: creative burnout, self-esteem issues
Pairings: roceit, can be platonic or romantic you decide
Word Count: 1292
(also, if you'd by any chance be interested in reading some original fiction from me, please sound off in the comments! I've been working on a couple projects recently and i'd love to share them but I wouldn't want to shout into an empty void.)
When Roman isn't in his room, Janus turns and heads for the Imagination's library instead.
Something he's still wrapping his head around is that Roman isn't at all how he expected him to act when he's hurt. He doesn't protest at the smothering from Patton or Virgil, he doesn't struggle against the prescribed mother-henning from Virgil, and the moment he's allowed off the hook he doesn't go out of his way to act like everything's back to normal. He is, in fact, one of the most sensible of them when it comes down to it.
Which, ironically, has posed its own list of problems.
Because Roman is so sensible, or perhaps because he has had to get so good at rationalizing and defending his actions, he is equally adept at explaining why, exactly, the things he is doing are sensible. So much so, in fact, that Janus has actually seen him talking his way through being allowed to do something he shouldn't by explaining how he's being reasonable about it.
Now, this isn't a problem when said thing is, oh, taking longer to eat his fill of the food that someone had generously taken the time to…experiment with and prepare, but it is a problem when it comes to him working after he's been suffering from creative burnout for the past few weeks.
Janus is certain there is a wonderful explanation prepared.
The library doors are closed, which is a good sign, but he can see from the light underneath that the curtains have been drawn, which is less good.
"Roman?"
"In here!"
Janus pushes open the doors and glances around. "Ah, there you are."
Roman waves from a table piled high with books. Some are from the library, others are not. Janus would bet good money that most of them are Roman's notebooks, each page filled with his neat little letters. He shakes his head slightly, marveling at how many notebooks Roman's managed to amass.
"Did you need something?"
He looks back at Roman. "You weren't in your room, I was worried."
Ah. Roman shuffles a little, looking away. "Did you…expect me to be?"
"I've seen Remus look less guilty than that," he says, not unkindly.
"So that's a yes," he mutters, flicking through a book.
He sighs. "I'm not mad at you, my prince."
"…you're not?"
"Should I be?" He quickly holds out a hand when Roman flinches, eyes widening and hands clenching on the book. "Relax, my prince, there's nothing you've done wrong, don't fret."
"Sorry." He toys with the corner of a page, "I'm…trying not to be so jumpy."
"You're still healing, I won't hold it against you." With Roman's permission, he sits carefully on the bench next to him. "When was the last time you took a break, my prince?"
"…what time is it?"
Janus raises a disapproving eyebrow.
"No, really, what time is it?"
"A few hours past noon."
"So…" Roman counts on his fingers, "about forty minutes ago."
"And the last time you ate?"
"A meal? Three hours ago. But…" He rummages around beneath the table, producing a thing of jerky and a bag of candy. "I have snacks!"
"And drank?" He holds up his water bottle and Janus snorts. "You're not on the road, sweetie, we have cups and mugs and plates, you don't have to snack like you're taking from provisions."
"I know, it's just easier. I am less likely to make a mess and get stuff on the books. Plus, when I'm clumsy and forgetful, then these things have lids and closures and I will not be spilling everywhere and ruining things." He makes a face. "I don't speak from experience or anything, though."
Janus chuckles, shaking his head slightly as Roman tucks his 'provisions' away and draws his book closer, squinting at the text.
See?
Reasonable.
But the same problem exists here as it does when he finds Remus in here after burnout, even if Roman's chosen to carry it out in a much less…obviously self-destructive way than swinging a sword at a dummy or insisting on sparring with a still-weakened body.
And to convince the prince of that will require the same amount of resolve.
"Roman," he begins as gently as he dares, "will you take another break?"
Roman looks up, a frown forming on his face. "Why, is something wrong?"
"Does something have to be wrong for you to take a break?"
"…it's just that I took one not too long ago, so…"
He waits for Roman to finish, and when he doesn't, reaches over and gently, tenderly, cups his cheek. "Second chance?"
Roman's eyes flutter closed and a shaky breath warms the skin just under Janus's glove. "Can I have a second to put words in order?"
He nods and lets the library lapse into silence again, still gently stroking the soft skin of Roman's cheek. He smiles when Roman leans into the touch, his other hand slowly moving from the book to the table, from the table to the bench, to nervously take the edge of Janus's cape between his fingers. He rewards the ask by scooting a little closer, enough to let the poor thing lean on him if need be.
"I've been struggling," Roman confesses in a delicate whisper, "not just because I've been…burnt out for so long, but because it's…it's still hard to ask."
He swallows and Janus adjusts his grip to let Roman lean against his shoulder.
"Part of it is…coming to terms with the fact that I'm not as useful to you all as I can't do the thing that makes me valuable anymore right now. Intellectually," he says before Janus can gently smack him, "I know that isn't true, that I don't have to be useful—or even be useful in the same way—I know I'm not about to be…kicked out or anything just 'cause I'm not what I was, but in the same way that intellectually knowing your leg is broken doesn't stop it from hurting."
He glances up at Janus, then at the hand clutching part of his cape.
"But it's fine."
Janus hisses gently. "Second chance?"
"I just don't want to be a burden, okay?"
There's a sudden vulnerability to his words, a weakness and meekness that's been absent from the conversation so far, and it gives Janus pause. His hands still in their ministrations and he turns just enough to cup Roman's chin.
"You're wanted," he says softly, feeling Roman's fingers twitch on his cape, "you're not a burden."
He can tell by the way Roman shifts and resolutely avoids his gaze that he doesn't quite believe it, not yet, but at least he doesn't try to argue. He cups his head and pulls him back in for a small cuddle, gently squeezing the back of his neck as Roman's free hand curls more confidently into the front of his shirt. He hums, low in his throat, gently kissing his temple.
Roman's stomach rumbles.
"Are you hungry?"
"Guess so."
"Hey," Janus calls, reaching out to stop him as he goes for his snacks again, "come down and have a proper meal, please?"
"Okay."
Janus smiles and helps him up, gently kissing his cheek as they leave the library. The Imagination carefully closes the notebook Roman left open, a single beam of golden sunlight illuminating it so that when he's ready, he can come back right to where he left off.
Come on, Janus isn't a monster, alright?

Aria
TOKUSATSU- ULTRAMAN

"miss bodyguard, how very safe i feel with you." silken, honeyed falsehoods; safety is an alien feeling to aventurine, one he neither feels nor strives for in his endless pursuit of risk. most likely, she knows he jests, he supposes. safety would require trust, a commodity in rare supply among the ipc and its lapdogs. nevertheless, as if acting out the part of the gallant royal defended by their valiant knight, aventurine reaches for her hand. the gesture is dramatic, a flourish as he grasps her fingers in his own and presses a kiss to the back of her hand. his gaze does not leave hers. "i hope we can continue to cooperate."
@starspurn
Words of honey are often filled with poison, but the [bodyguard] remains receptive to them. After all, if her [liege] wishes to feed her poison, she would drink it without interrupting the eye contact. He may wish to use her as a weapon, and so be it. It is more intriguing to see hw he operates with a tool because it shows his willingness to survive, to move forward, to show ambition. Is there a desire to live if there is fear of death? It's a question best asked from the Apostle of Origin, but it's still a mystery and she is just a "bodyguard sent by diamond to guard another Stoneheart". A sacrificial beast to slay to prove loyalty or just to see if this man's [luck] will prevail when skill (Jade, Opal) could not.
Can luck beat skill? Can luck beat immortality? Can luck free Diamond from a cursed existence?
Oh, if luck truly meant salvation within death's embrace, then Aventurine would be praised for far more than he'd understand. Not just for loyalty, but for freeing his superior from a burden he cannot yet get rid off. The time is ticking, but time means the roots of frigid cold would dig deeper. And yet, the Stoneheart holds her gaze and shows nothing of his truer self. He is a liar, he is an actor, and he is a gambler, but Zarina watches him impassively, not allowing any ounce of emotion to be shown on her face. They both play a game of lies, pretending to be someone they are not and pretending to play gratitude when it is nowhere present.
They lie and they lie and they lie.
And so, she puts on a mask of a calm and collected bodyguard. The opposite of himself. The one who is seemingly absent in terms of emotions. A perfect tool to follow orders, but still one who speaks her mind and who is more 'honest' compared to others. Will he hate her if he were to learn the truth? The selfish choice, the fact that the beast chose him next to see what other stones serve under Diamond's watchful gaze. Perhaps, it was because she liked his eyes or... because she saw potential, survival and experience that no one from Stonehearts gave her. The desperation, borderlining on despair yet clutching onto hope (luck).
Will he be mad to know his 'valiant knight' is a 'dragon in disguise'? And that Diamond wished not to deal with her and make her a problem of another, allowing her to choose whom she'll protect after Jade's failures. Will he angry to learn that she could've walked away instead of lurking here? And that she remained because it was not yet time. Will be disappointed to figure out one day that what was given to him was an Emanator, an Apostle of Origin, and that she could truly become what he needed her to be if he requested? After all, this life was just a game. A long, terribly long game of life. A game until the script of Finality will kick in for her to return to stars.
"Our cooperation is only possible if you wish for it," she speaks, her tone awfully monotone. If he wants to play roles, she will happily keep up hers. But somehow, it feels all too similar to something from the past. Zarina pushes that thought away. "Your word is my order, Mr. Aventurine. Anything you wish of me shall be granted. As long as it does not interfere with my oath to protect you." Oath, is it? Truly, like a gallant knight. A knight for a gambler. A truly marvelous crossover of genres. "If you wish me to put on a mask for others to think I'm someone else, I will do so. Use me as you wish, I am now in your hands." Not Diamond's, Jade's, or Opal's.
As she takes her hand away from him, Zarina does a step back to put a distance between them as if showing him that she wishes to keep him 'comfortable'.
"To kiss the hand of your bodyguard is not befitting of a man your status," she brings her hands back behind her back, straightening up while looking straight into his eyes. It doesn't help that she stands a bit taller than him, her golden gaze examining but lacking any bright light. If he wants to lie and play a role, she will do the same. "I do not wish to taint your reputation. I am only a chip in your hands."
More like an ace up his sleeve, but does he know of it yet? Oh no, not yet.

@atangledfate (for Rouge!)
The sun had begun to set as Poe De Spell slunk about the streets, flipping back and forth between his thoughts and the city sights. It was one of the few activities he could manage that consistently brought him any sort of joy these days. Or at least, it would if he weren’t stuck on the impending winter, looming above him in the mid-autumn sky like an ominous cloud of impending attempted murder.
He’d been fortunate - as much as one could consider the situation - enough to have returned during the milder months of the year, giving him enough time to gain his bearings before the harsher seasons blew in. Poe never had a particular disdain for winter, though he’d usually had some sort of reliable means of shelter to defend from the cold. Way to ruin a somewhat enjoyable event, universe.
A car horn yanked him from his musings with a startled jolt, whipping his head toward the sound to see some random civilian get cut off in the bustling traffic outside a large, ornate building. His eye wandered to the marvelous architecture of the complex across the street, scanning the gorgeous stone columns lining the top of the stairs to the building. A collection of banners hung down between each column, advertising some sort of newly opened artifact collection. Clearly, the building was some sort of museum.
As he skimmed the banners dangling from the building’s front, Poe perked up at the mid-left image. Something stirred his brain as he laid eyes upon the peculiar, ornate artifact displayed for all potential patrons to see. A crystal skull stood upright on a perch. Even from across the street, Poe could make out the thin network of intricate designs pressed into the skull. They jutted across the entire visible surface of the skull, converging together into the eye sockets, where two diamond-shaped maroon gems were inlayed, a jagged gold border around it. On a small plaque, only four words were written.
The Crystal of Kadavus.
A sharp puff of breath escaped his beak. Then three more. There, in the middle of the sidewalk, the disheveled man began to softly chuckle to himself, his eyes sparkling with recognition and relief.
“Well, now…” he muttered to himself. “That should do quite nicely.”

I can’t believe lily is gonna make me defend Bucky Barnes but if you look at his fanbase allot of it is actually diverse and contains allot of queer poc solely cause.. well back in 2014 allot of the mcu was predominantly white so folks latched onto the trauma survivor who’s whole story was about escaping the nazi organisation and reuniting with their only friend. Like there’s a reason people don’t like the war criminal capitalist iron man and much prefer captain America and the winter soldier.
Plus stating the obvious, the character has existed since the 40’s and most marvel fans pull knowledge of the comics into their mcu fanworks all the time. If anything the criticism of mcu bucky should be how the mcu puts action sequences above characters (literally Lily’s fave character wanda was just there for action scenes and didn’t have an arc whatsoever aside from one film where she was a Nazi for a little bit before have a snapshot redemption ironically just like the Steven universe diamonds)
For someone who claims she loves stories about healing I guess Lily’s sympathy towards trauma survivors doesn’t apply when the victim is a man.
Funny how all of criticisms lily has for works can easily be applied to her own faves but she ignores them flat out.
she doesn't have any sympathy for male victim, but this lack of compassion extends too in general to any victim that doesn't act on the exact way that she wished she could act. by murdering the abusers (because all trauma is always about one singular responsible person and nothing else), plotting revenge or taking control of the universe. if they do anything else like... try to process their trauma and be sad sometimes, then they also don't deserve anything.

But since the high point of the Marvel contract that has really disappeared, at least as I see it.//
Marvel really was a bless and a curse for Chris. I love him as Steve Rogers. He embody that character so good. I can't see anyone else play him, only Chris.
But at the same time Chris hasn't done a lot of good projects after Marvel. I think it must have been a combination of him being too exhausted shooting the Marvel movies to try other roles/movies and movie people didn't want to cast him because they didn't want their movie to be associated with superhero movies and they started seeing Chris more like Captain America.
If I'm not mistaken I haven't seen RDJ in other good projects while in Marvel or after. Only now that he's in Oppenheimer. I'm excited bc is so different to his other projects and I assume challenging for his acting skills.
I haven't seen people talk about it but Chris in A teardrop diamond was good, I was surprised to see him in this type of movie. I saw the movie before I became a fan. It's an alright movie overall.
Simce he claims to be romantic I expected he would have been in more romantic or romcom by now. (I don't know how to express this in English, I'll try my best) Sometimes I think Chris is afraid to play roles that would make look silly, vulnerable or not so much like a manly man. In most movie that comes to my mind of Chris he's this hot manly guy. In gifted he plays the bachelor young uncle, in defending Jacob the strong, reliable lawyer that wants ro protect his family. I know that the fans would thirst over him even if the roles doesn't calm for it but at the same time I think both Chris and movie people know that. Like he's afraid to play unattractive roles that his fans or people in general won't find him attractive.
sorry for the long post. You're answer was interesting and got me thinking
I would disagree with you on the RDJ point. He did the two Sherlock Holmes movies while in Marvel, and they were both well-liked and box office hits. Perhaps not so much after Marvel ended.
Perhaps what we're all arguing around is typecasting? Perhaps the more lowkey diverse roles dried up because only big budget movies started being offered after Marvel? Who knows.
