2) Clint’s whole gimmick (his “brand”) is that he’s the least extravagant Avenger. He’s not rich, he doesn’t have fancy gadgets (aside from the trick arrows, which he has to pawn off of from other people), and he doesn’t have fast-selling merchandise. When he gets hurt, he has to go to the local CVS just to get some medicine and bandages.

3) His show was about him teaching a spoiled rich girl how to live on cheap supplies and that being a superhero is more than just the image and theatrics. In fact, his show ends with him bringing the rich girl back to his farmhouse (in Hallmark Channel terms, he took the rich girl out of the city and brought her to the cozy, smalltown where everyone is living a simple life). 

4) In the deleted scenes of Hawkeye, Clint grew up having to steal because he and his mom were broke. 

5) The Hawkeye show made it a point that Clint is the Avenger who gets along the most with the “common people” (example: Grills and the LARPer community). He’s the Avenger that you could just walk up to and get a beer with since he’s a normal dude who you could relate to.

1. by and away the most common fandom for cosplaying this weekend was bnha. the most cosplays were deku (in the forms of school uniform, sports uniform, hero costume, and even fandom villain deku) and then todoroki. there were also a lot of all mights, kirishimas, quite a few urarakas, tsuyus, jirous and bakugos, a couple pussy cats and a hawks, an eraserhead. then there were a few dabis and togas that normally came in pairs and at least one shigaraki. my favorites though were a mother son inko/deku duo and a mother daughter all might/deku duo :) 

2. after bnha spider-people took home the most costume spots. many many many classic spideys, a lot of spider-gwens (often these were het couples), a lot of miles, a lot of peter b parkers, a lot of silks, and me the doc ock

3.  MANY CAPTAIN MARVELS! a lot of great thors! a few cool helas, an odin and a loki, some iron men and captain americas. then there were so many beautiful little black girls dressed as shuri, little black boys dressed as miles or t’challa, and a few beautiful men dressed as t’challa too ;)

4. quite a few cisco ramons and killer frosts and a few flashes 

5. many beautiful wonder women and one snyder batman

6. a lovely inuyasha, three edward elrics, and one winry

7. the most beautiful padme i’ve ever seen, two twileks, an ahsoka, a seventh sister, and a han and that lady that daenerys targaryen played 

8. three or four beautiful daenerys’s, a jon snow, and a beautiful sansa :) 

those were my faves but there were a lot of great ones!

Several years ago, my friend and I toyed with the idea of setting up a cosplay shop, where we would make custom made costumes via commissions. We were both into sewing, both really stressed about money; she was unemployed, I was in a job that was making me sick with stress. 

In the end, nothing came of it, we didn’t have the skills or funds or... anything. 

However, I toyed with the idea of having something extra to bring in little bits of money. I was mad into making bracelets with seed beads especially weaving them into beautiful designs. 

I thought, “I could make ones with fandom designs and sell them!” 

So I sat down and designed. 

I began with an easy set, My Little Pony. In a week I had four out of the six and I was actually really pleased with them. I couldn’t figure out how to get the final two together, so I moved to another fandom, this time Pokemon. I did a Charmander one, and a Squirtle one, and then I moved on to Marvel, designing one for Thor and one for Hulk. 

I came across them again recently and am surprised by how much I still like most of them (Hulk and Squirtle could do with a rethink). I’m also struggling to pay my bills atm, basically living week to week, despite working full time. Lots of my money has gone into my medications and doctors appointments. 

At the same time I was browsing etsy and realised that not only were people selling the made bracelets, they were selling their patterns so others could use them.

I don’t have the time to make a load of them, at least not right now, but I can set up an etsy shop and sell the patterns I design. I could even make a limited number of the bracelets to sell to help promote each pattern. 

So, right now I’m putting things together, seeing if I can make this viable. I rediscovered a software that makes the process of setting up the designs easier, which costs $49.95. It’s the only thing I don’t have to hand right now. 

I also want to buy more beads to make more designs with -I have (in two days) drafted 12 more designs so I think this is a genuinely viable way for me to earn some extra income.
