so initially i wasn’t on board with the whole “kreese killed tory’s mother” theory, but once i started to think about it, i realized it actually would make sense (not that i think he actually is responsible cause the writers aren’t smart enough to pull off a plot twist like that lol)

we all know kreese is a manipulative sociopath who’s capable of murder. and his dynamic with tory greatly parallels his dynamic with johnny. despite the numerous times kreese claimed that he loved/cared about johnny (in his own sick twisted way), he also scarred him emotionally and hurt him worse than anyone else. if kreese can try to kill the boy he says was like a son to him, who’s to say he wouldn’t kill the mother of the girl he views as his new champion?

kreese knows exactly what it’s like to lose a mother at a young age. you’d think after experiencing such an unbearable loss, he’d never want to inflict that kind of pain on anyone else, especially someone he claims to care about. but what if that’s the reason he did it?

killing tory’s mother would unleash all the rage and pain she’s held in for years which in kreese’s mind will make her a better fighter and stronger competitor for the sekai taikai + getting into her head that she’ll always be second best to sam as long as she stays in miyagi-do which (on top of her grief) causes her to isolate herself from everyone so he can easily lure her back to cobra kai when she’s completely alone and at her most vulnerable = tory finally getting the win she’s always wanted and doing it in front of the whole world as the champion of john kreese

i hate to say it but it sounds like something kreese could actually be capable of. maybe he cared about tory when she was under his control in cobra kai, but after she rejected him and said she was no longer HIS champion, what if he orchestrated her mother’s death to manipulate her into coming back to him but also as a punishment for defying him ???

again, i highly doubt this will be the case, but you can’t deny it’s definitely a hell of a theory
