Spent this cold day making A Song of Ice and Fire recipes from the Inn at the Crossroads cookbook. Cooking and baking are some of my favorite snow activities.

These recipes are all from the North so it worked great for today.

Crusty White Bread - The Great Hall of Winterfell was hazy with smoke and heavy with the smell of roasted meat and fresh-baked bread. -A Game of Thrones

Salad at Castle Black - "From the Lord Commander's own table," Bowen Marsh told them. There were salads of spinach and chickpeas and turnip greens, and afterward bowls of iced blueberries and sweet cream. -A Game of Thrones
