I spent my whole day looking at ducks through my binoculars to ID them. The combination of my hand tremors and my beginner duck knowledge made the whole thing very headachey. The number of times I just went IDK IT DABBLES I GUESS was too many. By the end of the day my brain was duck soup. You’d think many hours of staring at ducks would make me more confident in my abilities, but the soup made it worse.

I also had ribs by lorde stuck in my head all day. Not a bad thing, just notable because it’s a banger

This photo isn’t from today. I just didn’t want to make a post without a picture. This is a pied billed grebe which actually isn’t a duck. They’re easy to identify because of they’re close enough to see you, they’ll just sink into the water real quick instead of diving in. I wish I had a video of them doing it. I was lucky enough to get him doing it halfway in this picture.
