The Powder Keg
John Price has just spent the whole afternoon teaching his new recruit how to shoot, and after pining for her all day, he’s about ready to burst, just like a powder keg…
Hot, steaming water sprayed out of the shower head and soaked his burnt, pink skin. When he took in a deep breath, it was humid and heavy, filling his lungs with more moisture than air, leaving him panting and weak from the heat of it. But, he let it suffocate him. He allowed it to obfuscate his senses, to coat his mouth like a gag, to stop him from calling out for her. John Price was so damn close to forgetting himself. He pulled his imaginary muzzle tighter, just in case.
He’d spent the better part of the day in the frigid sands in some Urzikstani Green zone, teaching his new sergeant to shoot his M-16. She was a good marksman, but she was unfamiliar with the desert’s unforgiving winds, and she needed to see how he had set his sights. It shouldn’t have taken so long for him to help her, and if he was before Peter at those gates of pearl and splendor, forced to tell the truth, he had chosen to keep her there. He’d been selfish, preferring to watch her laying there, prone and panting, firing bullet after bullet, all to please her captain. It was the betrayal of the sun that had ruined his gluttony. It had set behind the dunes, forcing John to come indoors and try to wash off all of his sin.
Price had been hard all day. Seeing her plump arse in those canvas pants, looking down at her, concentrating and vulnerable in the sand… it was enough to drive him wild. Now, here he was, gripping his heavy rod like a teenager, squeezing himself tight enough to see stars.
The soap and the suds had all washed away, but the billowing steam had remained. He felt each scalding droplet stinging against his sun-ravaged skin, and he used it like a million little flogs, punishing himself for his thoughts of her. She, in the inky blackness of his mind, had been… everywhere. She was stripping for him, peeling away each article of clothing, each layer of her uniform with calculated effort, revealing herself to him bit by bit. He was watching as her fingers dug into the band of her pants, sliding them down her thick thighs, showing off her tattooed skin, uncovering scars like tiny secrets. Secrets only he could know.
She was grabbing his cock. It was her hand tugging him hard, not his. Her palm slipping over his rosy head, her fingers slipping his foreskin down his shaft, her mouth…
“Unghh…” John leaned against the cold tile, trying to calm himself down. His forehead dug into the white ceramic, rolling across it, trying to find some relief to his torment.
He knew her mouth would feel so sweet. She would plant a delicate little kiss on the top of it, wouldn’t she? She was so kind. She would be so kind to him. An old dog who didn’t deserve it. Not one lick. And yet, she would lick him. Her tongue would lap around his thick base, purring at his size, gassing him up, pumping his ego. Maybe it would be the truth. Either way, he’d buy it; hook, line, and sinker.
“Baby, baby, baby…” He’d name her. She’d be his. His woman. His everything. She’d steal his breath like this impenetrable steam.
The tip of her tongue would find that ridge, the one tucked under his head, the one just below his hole, and she’d suckle at it, just as if she was pulling venom from a snake bite, like his life depended on it. And maybe it did.
Maybe she would be willing to sit across his lips, giving herself to him like a feast to a starving man. She would taste like nectar, and it would coat his tongue, sticky and cloying, painting his palate and filling his nose. He would learn her scent, burying himself into it, finding himself within her taste and her warmth.
Then, mercifully, perhaps she would take him inside of her, deep into her body. He would sink into her, down into her depths. Engulfed. Surrounded. At her mercy. Perhaps she would use those soft muscles to hold him in, to clutch at him like a hungry, suckling mouth.
His hand tightened around his head and the rhythmic milking noises of his self-made pleasure filled the tiny shower like a perpetual echo. He began to fuck his grip, rutting wildly into his palm, coating his callused skin in precome. He was dripping from the shower, but nothing was slipperier than his wet pleasure. It made his cock slide even faster through his huge hand, helping his head burrow itself into his fingers.
John wanted it to be real. He dreamt, with his eyes squeezed shut, of the way her legs would part for him, spread like the petals of a flower, soft and pliant like a little, pink rose. As he jerked his hand across his pulsing head, he imagined what it would be like to rub himself amongst her delicate folds. He almost came from the thought, shuddering, catching himself against the wall, whimpering like he was pressing into a bruise.
A little faster. A little more friction. He grunted, unable to hold his voice inside of him, desperate and feral.
Her eyes, gleaming and beautiful, looking up at him, calling his name.
And that was enough to do it. He came, crying out for her…
“Oh, fuck… baby…”
“Captain?”
His blood went cold, and when he heard her voice, he froze, letting his come leak out of his balls, coating his hands and flooding over his knuckles.
The curtain hissed as she pulled it away from the wall, her eyes traveling all over his body, appraising him and approving. She smiled, a little coy,
“Got room for one more?”

Raining Blood and Steel (Ultrakill x Genshin Impact)
Thanks to @charlie990 for coming up with an idea for the title!
Idea based on @valeriele3's Live Stream post
Reader is Gender Neutral
Warning: Violence and gore. Also Hakita saying things that he likely has never said.
0-5 1-1 << YOU ARE HERE 1-2
MONDSTADT /// FIRST BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS AND STRAYS
REAL STRUCTURES CLASH WITH A FAKE WORLD.
(A/N: Whomever guesses the title's reference gets a cookie)
You surmised that it took around two minutes to finish your elevator drop.
Eventually, V1 and V2 landed on the elevator's ground floor with two sturdy thuds. Somehow, the long drop didn't give you any negative effects or ailments.
V1 placed you on the ground and she looked squarely at you. "You ready?" She asked and you simply nodded with a slightly concerned expression.
As you stepped forward, you noticed that same black-and-white splotched terminal at the right side of the elevator. Deciding to approach it, it booted up and displayed a tip of the day.
Tip of the Day: Hell may have difficulty attempting to convert some individuals. Protect them!
This intrigued you, and V2 as well; he responded with: "I guess even Hell has its limits I guess. Maybe it's because this is a different world or something."
Swapping over to the weapons tab, you noticed that a new variant for your revolver was unlocked: the Marksman for 7,500 points. You hesitated no time in buying the weapon, and suddenly your dual revolvers were gone but now you had a revolver with four coins in its little display section.
You tried flicking your right arm and a coin suddenly flicked into the air. Afterwards both V1 and V2 witnessed your attempts to shoot a coin before you did it... after 10 tries.
"...Here's an idea, [Name]. Why don't you just flick your coins, then yell at us to shoot them for you?" V2 replied with a little bit of deadpan in his voice.
"Sounds good enough..." you replied, finally stepping towards the elevator's exit doors and into the first "level."
Your chat was forced to watch you screw up your coin shots from your perspective. Discourse ensued.
johnifer donated $0.69: This guy trash bro
feetusdeletussthenyeetus: fr fr (I don't get it)
valeriele3: Guys be nice to them! Video games do not boost actual aim.
johnifer: SHUT UP WOMAN
TERMINAL_069: Is this normal?
Adm!ra1-M4son: Sometimes.
Then, when you exited the elevator, everyone witnessed the first "level" you and the two V machines entered.
Immediately, they saw Mondstadt's bridge leading to the game's all too familiar city of freedom, but screen-like walls blocked every other pathway meaning that the only way to go is forward.
Text then showed up on the stream screen:
MONDSTADT /// LIMBO /// FIRST HEART OF THE NORTHERN WINDS
NaviaLover291 donated $1.00 Limbo?
johnifer donated $0.69 It's the first layer of hell, sinners brought here are supposed to suffer in a fake world
You approached the gate and it slowly opened to reveal a town square with a supposed four-way street. Speakers playing wind and bird sounds hid behind even faker trees, with holographic leaves covering nails on poorly-impersonated logs. A fountain sat in the square, but its water was holographic.
Looking in all directions, the right path was dead, but the left and forward paths led elsewhere.
The left path led to a red skull pedestal blocking a circular doorway with red markings, meaning a red skull was present. Back at the town square, you then decided to take the forward path which led to a stone hallway with unopenable doors. V1 decided to scout forward and she slid through.
And then when she entered the next room, it led to filth, a few drones, and four streetcleaners spawning.
V1 wasted no time and she immediately pulled out her shotgun and began projectile boosting at the filth. Meanwhile, you tried coin-shotting some of the enemies while running around but failed to hit your coins. Luckily, V2 took out a revolver and shot two of the coins you missed.
The coins flew into two of the drones, which V1 and V2 managed to dodge.
DESTRUCTIVE + ASSISTEDRICOSHOT x 2 + ASSISTEDRICOSHOT x 1
0329: Teamwork makes the dreamwork!
Mike: That is a bold-faced lie and you know it
feetusdeletussthenyeetus: very relatable, every time I was in a group project back in school my groupmates always forced me to do all the work
"Thanks V2!" You said before switching to your dual revolvers and shooting at the remaining filth chasing your friends.
DESTRUCTIVE + KILL + DOUBLE KILL + KILL
Once the enemies were cleared in the now blood-covered room, the doors to the next room opened, and you three entered a wide hallway with tavern-like elements.
"Angel's Share..." you muttered before the doors leading here locked up and a few strays, soldiers, and another large group of filth spawned. V1 and V2 wasted no time clearing up the enemies, the former abusing a sawblade launcher with magnets and the latter utilizing a familiar red rail cannon to blow up a cluster of filth. All you could do was dash around and shoot at random targets V1 and V2 would kill anyway.
DESTRUCTIVE + KILL ASSIST + KILL ASSIST + DOUBLE KILL ASSIST + KILL ASSIST
V1 and V2's bloody carnage painted the floors (and you) red and with nothing left for you to kill. "No kills for me?" You jokingly asked.
Makitasbookshelf: V1 and V2 got the experience lol
3929: Don't worry! You're only just getting used to it!!
However, when you noticed a red pedestal rise from the ground, you didn't wait for a response as you walked up and took the red skull from its pedestal.
Retracing your steps to the town square, however, you were greeted with an unexpected sight.
You were greeted by the sight of Bennett and Razor attempting to dodge the shots of a group of three drones. "What are these things?!" The former yelled as the latter tried to attack the drones with his elemental burst, but they kept flying off and retaliating with their shots. "Purple things... annoying!" He yelled, before dodging another shot.
Wasting no time, you slid into their view and shot up the lesser machines, parrying them away from the two Mondstadtians so the drones' kamikazes failed.
DESTRUCTIVE + PARRY + KILL + PARRY + KILL + PARRY + KILL
Unfortunately, after the drones died, a Malicious Face spawned in.
"Ohhhh crap a Maurice!" You screamed as you swapped back to your dual revolvers and shot at the thing. As it fired hell orb projectiles at you, V1 returned the favor by shooting them with her sharpshooter revolver, causing them to explode.
DESTRUCTIVE + KILL ASSIST
Unfortunately, one of the projectiles exploded near you. "Ow- shit! Fuck!" You screamed, lying on the floor. "Sorry!" V1 said, before moving close to you and denting her arm again to let blood spill onto you.
"Wha- you don't have to do that..." You awkwardly said, your hoodie now drenched in V1's blood. "It's fine!" She responded. "I always help those on my side."
With your wounds healed, you turned to Bennett and Razor. "Hey. How have you two been holding up in here?"
Bennett looked a little off-put at how V1 let her blood run on you. He was about to speak up until Razor spoke in a hushed voice. "So many scary things! Green things, purple things, white things..." his voice grew angrier when he said the next part. "They killed Lupical! Bad things!"
Bennett nervously continued the conversation. "Yeahhh... what Razor said. Buncha strange figures started attacking us. Killed Razor's wolves, and they nearly managed to get me when I knocked into a food cart!"
"Then follow us," V2 responded. "We know how to get out of this situation." You then placed your red skull on its unlock pedestal and entered the red door.
Unbeknownst to you all, Ultrakill's Discord was in panic mode.
Users flooded every channel with theories and thoughts on your livestream. Throughout the discourse, Hakita put out another message regarding the situation:
"This is as wild to me as it is to all of you. I do not know how anything of this magnitude is even conceivable, let alone possible."
A group of users had gotten to watching your livestream in a voice chat.
"Bro V1 and V2 are just stealing this mofo's kills," One user said, watching as V1 and V2 cleared out a group of filth and strays with malicious railcannons. Another user, seeing you miss your coin shots, exclaimed: "OH MY GOD JUST HIT A SHOT ALREADY GOD DAMN!!!"
"Maybe use something other than your revolvers?" V2 remarked in a deadpan tone. "You have a shotgun, you know."
"Oh I'm stupid-" you responded before pulling out your core eject shotgun. Immediately you just devolved to projectile boosting at any enemy you saw, which didn't give you much style but at least you got some kills.
CHAOTIC + PROJECTILE BOOST + PROJECTILE BOOST
"He's just like me fr fr" a third user said.
...Bennett and Razor mostly stood idle as they watched V1 and V2 obliterate everything in the room.
The next few rooms, consisting of a windmill room, a forest room, and a plains room, relied more on machines and demons such as malicious faces than husks. This also made your job harder; malicious faces were immune to explosions including projectile boosts. Thankfully, V1 and V2 still handled most enemies while you mopped up anything they missed.
Also, Bennett's bad luck decided to strike in the plains room. He attempted to kill one of the streetcleaners with his sword, but he missed his strike due to the machine moving a bit to the left. The flamethrower machine beeped with a blue flash...
...only for two hitscan shots to hit the fucker two times in the head, killing it instantaneously. "You alright?!" You yelled with your dual revolvers in your hands, running up to Bennett among the carnage to help him get on his feet.
"Yeah... thanks for the save." He said, smiling. "Thanks for the save, whomever you are."
"It's [Name]," you responded with a goofy grin. "Just call me [Name]."
Bennett's expression then molded into one as if a lightbulb went over his head.
"Hang on, you're that guy who controlled the traveler!" He exclaimed, much to your confusion. "...Oh fuck self-aware Genshin is real-"
"Everyone kept calling you 'Your Grace' though... Fischl told me that it had to do with you creating the world or something," he continued. "But you look very ordinary to me! Like, aside from your strange clothing, I can't really sense anything divine on you at all..."
"N-Not that I'm trying to offend you or anything!" He finished, rubbing his head a little. You chuckled in response, telling him that you're fine and that he shouldn't be worried about that.
Finally, after clearing out a few more rooms of lesser machines, the five of you approached two doors with a skull on them.
The new room was octagonal, with small carts and vendors arranged neatly around the walls. Also located in this room was the elevator to the next level, but a large, familiar, and dreadful statue buried in the ground blocked its path.
The hideous mass emerged from the ground and immediately assailed the three of you with its mortar arms. Dashing out of the way, you immediately assaulted the hideous mass with projectile boosted shotgun rounds. V1 and V2, with their superior arsenals, used screwdriver railcannons to fire two screws into the massive demon.
"Get the corkscrew blows!" V1 yelled, and you immediately punched at the two screws the two V machines fired.
CHAOTIC + CORKSCREW BLOW + CORKSCREW BLOW
V1 and V2 decided to dish out their entire arsenal, with the former hailing cannonballs and firing saws into the foul demon while the latter hit the thing with a pump charge impact hammer. It didn't go down as fast as it did in the base game though...
"I bet Hell infused this bastard with some shit!" V2 angrily and snarkily remarked.
Meanwhile, all Bennett and Razor could do was frantically dodge the demon's mortar rounds. Miraculously, they never got hit once, although they did get covered in a lot of blood.
"I didn't think my bad luck was this bad!" The former yelled. "This isn't bad luck, it's an eldritch abomination!" V2 responded.
And then the demon used its shockwave attack. "Bennett, Razor, jump over that unless you wanna lose your legs!" And thankfully, they both did. Then, the hideous mass used its clap attack, which thankfully hit no one.
...But then the giant demon decided to hit you with its harpoon right at your chest, which although you could heal via blood did not take away your ability to feel pain.
"OOOOOOOOOOHHHH HOLY SHIT THIS FUCKING BURNS!" You howled, frantically punching at the harpoon to force it to retract back at the hideous mass. This greatly angered you and once it got back upright you dashed toward the demon's belly and simultaneously punched, slapped, and shot your shotgun at it.
CHAOTIC + BITCHSLAP + BITCHSLAP + DISRESPECT + DISRESPECT + BITCHSLAP
Unfortunately, then the demon decided to enrage.
BRUTAL + ENRAGED
The hideous mass flipped its torso over and frantically fired hell mortar rounds everywhere. Thankfully, its exposed weakspots meant that all three of you could assault the thing at once. After a bit more barraged fire, you got the final shot and caused the thing to sputter and leak blood before exploding.
BRUTAL + BIG KILL
...It also covered all of you, including Bennett and Razor, in blood.
"Eugh, this is gross..." the former said, and the latter huffed and agreed. "...I hope you two get used to it," V2 responded. "Because there's going to be a whole lotta blood..."
"Yeah, me and this red guy known as V2 over here are basically powered by blood. I'm V1 by the way!" V1 waved at Bennett as if the current situation was just a normal day.
As the elevator to the next level opened up, Bennett and Razor looked a little mortified but shook it off. "...Okay..." The former responded. "You three... strange. But you three help us! Like Lupical!"
As you approached the elevator, however, you realized that you weren't sure if Bennett and Razor could survive the long falls. "Guys, uh, I don't think Bennett and Razor would be able to survive the long falls..."
"...Fuck you're right," V1 and V2 responded simultaneously. However, the doors then opened without anyone approaching them, showing that the insides had an actual elevator instead of just a long drop downwards.
Entering the elevator, there was a note which you picked up. It read:
e n j o y y o u r r i d e . : )
"...Yeah, this is fine." You simply said before beckoning everyone to head in. The internals of the elevator were akin to that of an actual elevator, but with no buttons or keypads, just a screen.
Then once everyone entered the elevator, the doors shut... and then the elevator headed down at the speed that V1 would normally drop.
"Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!" Bennett yelled as he and Razor clung on to each other, although you and the two V machines remained unfazed from the experience.
1-1: BALLAD OF SONGBIRDS AND STRAYS: COMPLETED
A/N: This series is finally back after a while. I actually suffered a little bit of writer's block for this. Bennett and Razor weren't actually meant to appear initially, but I added them for fun.
A/N 2: Is my writing by any chance faltering? Lemme know because I'm open to criticism.

月光 ݁ ˖ MOONLIGHT ── CHAPTER FIVE. THE WARRIOR THAT DIDN'T CEASE HAS RETURN TO FINISH HIS LAST TASK.
CONTENTS. ANGST. blood, cuts, wounds, false name usage, death and murder. sad sad, melancholic sadness. little extra chapter at the end. wc of three thousand.
moonlight series masterlist ₊ 𓂃 previous.
𝐁𝐑𝐄𝐀𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐇𝐄𝐀𝐕𝐘 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐒𝐔𝐅𝐅𝐎𝐂𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐍𝐆, blood dripped everywhere. sweat mixed it with the blood and into the surface of the wound it goes as an aching pain burned throughout the entire skin.
how did this happen?
how did you end up in the same situation all over again? like the war between nations and the war that is happening now. it is the same event that is happening all over again. except, nobody ever saw this war coming. this was impromptu, a fight against unknown enemies.
at the start, you remembered it all as clear as the day— of what you've been doing just before it led to this point. just like any other normal evening, you would cook meals for the mountain god and yourself. his bunny workers didn't need any food to survive, for they are the heavenly workers that were sent to assist rayne. but you still made little bunny treats for them.
dinner was then served, and you dined with the mountain god. nothing more, nothing less. just an average night in an average mountain with an average mountain god.
what consumed the averageness of it all was a single arrow that knocked over your spoon, still with soup on it, the second you put it near your lips. it left a faint scar in a single line that ran across your nose that blood started to run out.
rayne manipulated the wind and forced you backwards, his other hand moving to block any incoming arrows that were aiming right at you.
“y/n! are you alright?!”
“yeah!” you got on your feet and looked around in alert. “who shot those arrows?”
“i don't know. but surely they are not on this mountain because i don't feel any foreign presence.”
“it's definitely a skilled marksman,” you added, just as another arrow came into view right in front of you. with your instincts over hellish years of training under the imperial army, all you knew was how to dodge and deflect. so you deflected the arrow that was right in front of your face by pushing it away with your bare hands. that act caused the skin of your palm to tear apart, blood once more peeking through the cracks of your skin.
“you shouldn't have done that,” rayne scolded you. “i’m going to the direction of where the arrows are. you stay here.”
“no rayne, wait!”
too late. rayne has already flown to the mountain next to his. the arrow that was shot right at you was picked up, and you made a run after the mountain god.
there was no doubt about it. the arrow in your hand has the symbol of the mimihagi nation imprinted at the end of the arrow. what does someone from the mimihagi nation want from you? no— the question is, how did they even find you on the mountain?
your footsteps halted the moment you sensed an unfamiliar presence lurking around you. then the presence walked out from the shadows to reveal a man around your age, dressed in the clothing of a samurai. it clicked. you recognised this samurai. you remembered as clear as day that you stepped over his corpse while trying to run away from hell on earth. his hair that is oddly similar to the mountain god, half of it a sunflower yellow and the other half of it the darkest of obsidian.
did this samurai not perish along with the other corpses?
“in fear and terror that i traveled all over japan to find that one last survivor of the enemy army. and i finally found her,” the samurai said, a smile that looked so guilty displayed on his lips and his eyes that dropped in the pool of guilt. “i, samurai ryosuke yamamoto of the mimihagi nation, must fulfill my duty and kill all remaining enemies.”
this is bad.
before you could react, he swung his blade at you. ryosuke yamamoto servant of the mimihagi nation. the mimihagi are known for their skilful and talented warriors. no matter how weak their warriors are, each of them has their own specialty which builds up the army.
the sword you picked up became your temporary defense against a perfect blade. of course, it was cut down into two pieces and you obtained a mild cut on your fingers. there is no way you are going to win. you have nothing on you. no weapon, no nothing. just battle experience which led you all the way here.
where is your sword when you need it?
you tossed the broken arrows aside and made a run for it. there is nothing you can do empty-handed. you are a warrior who uses weapons to fight. you are trained to enter the battlefield with a weapon or two in your hand. you couldn't win this fight alone.
rayne ames scrunched his eyebrows together at the sight of a child with beautiful blonde hair holding an arrow with an awkward smile that shakily surfaced.
“what is ryoh’s child doing here? are you the one who shot those arrows?!” rayne exclaimed, demanding an explanation as ryoh himself came into view.
ryoh grantz, god of light. a god who has lived in this world for thousands of years, serving as one of the original gods that was chosen once the earth formed. clearly, if rayne were to fight him, one snap of ryoh’s fingers would send the mountain god back to light. it would be stupid to engage in a battle with a heavenly god.
“you have defied the divine rules of heaven by involving yourself with a mortal. let me rephrase that, boy. you failed as a mountain god by allowing a human girl into your sacred mountain and also, falling in love with her,” ryoh explained, his hand softly combing through his blonde hair. “you know it is wrong to be making love on a mountain that is sacred don't you, rayne?”
“what is so wrong with showing affection to the girl i love in a mountain that i ruled in?” rayne asked. he knows that the mountain he guards is sacred, blessed by all heavenly gods. true he might have gone as far as to kiss your lips or to caress your face a few times, but he knew that the mountain subjects didn't mind it at all. so why did the divine visionaries send a god of theirs to give rayne his judgment?
“you might or might not have forgotten, but you are not to allow a mortal to step foot into the mountain. the part of the divine tree is slowly starting to decay with the disruption of a mortal staining the soils of the mountain with her sins.”
ah yes... all the sins you committed in that war alone. all the burdens and blood that you carried all the way into a mountain you didn't even know that you weren't supposed to step in. all the blood on your blade that you have collected.
“she is a lost woman with a kind heart. she doesn't know,” rayne defended, and ryoh let out a sigh, giving his son a ruffle on his head. “there is no use arguing with you. but i tell you, your woman will die today, from the hands of another mortal in your mountain.”
the moment ryoh cease talking, rayne has already left. he rushed to your side, the wind creating havoc all around the mountain. through all the dust, leaves and soils of the ground, rayne swiped his hands to the side and brought all of it away. the image of finn ames burned into the back of the mountain god's mind.
“finn..?” rayne let out under his breath at the sight of a familiar face. the face of his late brother, a mortal far different than he is. but the samurai standing opposite of him isn't the brother that he knew. it was someone else with the appearance of his brother. regardless, rayne felt emotionally challenged by the samurai.
“now, allow this human boy to be the result of your judgment, rayne,” ryoh came into view and held the shoulders of ryosuke. “you know the rules. you shall not interfere with mortal battles.”
mountain god rayne ames felt like a mouse trapped in a cage. what do you mean he has to stand aside and watch as you fight against a man? but then again, rayne ames knows that you are a strong and great warrior who survived a great war all alone. this is the perfect timing too. your sword has finished its repair.
“partisan,” rayne summoned a sword out from the dimension where he kept all the swords in the world and pulled out your sword. “y/n!” he called out and handed your sword to you as you took it and immediately unsheathed it.
your blade… as beautiful and shiny as it could get. it was far different from the sword that your squad lieutenant gave you. this sword feels like it was made from magic, forged for days and nights. you could see your reflection in the blade, the blade that was brought back to life by the hands of the sword cane, as they call him, the master of swords.
“thank you, rayne!” you swung it once and aimed it at the samurai in front of you. “now, honoured samurai ryosuke, let's finish what i couldn't, yeah?”
...
you came this far with cuts and bruises all over, breath hitching and body shaking all over. your feet are unstable, going back and forth in small motions before it completely gave up on you and you stumbled to the ground. a mouthful of metallic hot red liquid forced itself out of your mouth, falling and staining your hands along with the blade that didn't belong to you.
“r-rayne..” your shaky voice trailed off, hands moving to catch the sleeves of rayne’s kimono. just to tug on it or to hold it. it didn't matter. what matters is that rayne gets back his senses. “stupid god rayne,” you added, managing to get a hold of his kimono sleeves before you gripped it as tightly as you could. “come back to me.”
the said man’s eyes slowly widened, the honey in his eyes starting to brew again. rayne glanced down at his hand where he held his greatest sword. but the blade is not pointed towards his enemy. it is pointed to you, rayne's lover, right through your chest. stabbed exactly where your old wounds remained and where rayne used his own herbs to cure.
fear spreaded throughout the entirety of the fearless mountain god. it was like a wave that washed over the island, causing calamity that was unseen to the world. the moment rayne snapped back to reality, he felt the desperate tugs on his arm where his sleeves were being pulled by your weak hands and your pleas for him to come back to his senses.
“y/n—” as swift and as painless as he could, he pulled out his blade and held your weakened body in his arms.
all this happened by seeing you fight alone and losing, rayne also lost his temper as he saw your skin getting dirtied with slices and wounds. he couldn't bare to watch you get hurt, so he broke another divine rule as in, interfering with a battle between mortals by using his magical abilities. he broke another rule— killing a human being. rayne ames murdered samurai ryosuke yamamoto who held the face of his dead brother, finn ames.
see, even divine beings commit sins.
you are about to be the next human being whose life he ends. that thought pains him. once a god commits a sin, they lose an authority of theirs or a piece of their mind. rayne in that moment, lost a piece of his mind and saw you in a view of hatred. divine punishment is already beginning for the mountain god.
“i’m glad you're back,” you said, a smile so broken forming on your face. your grip on his sleeve never letting go. you wanted to hold him as much as you could, with the little left and the need to just stop breathing. “rayne i really thank you for allowing me to be yours. but i can't any longer. i will enter hell and suffer in it for walking on corpses.”
“please stop talking,” rayne hugged you tightly, his head burying into your neck. he didn't know what to say, he didn't know what to do other than to murmur a string of apologies. guilt started to weigh down heavy on him, consuming him bit by bit.
you could feel his tears that flowed down your skin. the feeling broke your heart even more. to leave rayne all alone again. who knows what kind of punishment heaven or hell has in mind for him? his hug tightened and tightened even more, not wanting to let go. he never wanted to let you go. not when he found someone he actually loves and cares way more than himself.
it is unwise from the start, for a divine being to fall in love with an earthly being. there is such a big difference between them, and rayne knows it. he knows it all too well. he isn't someone stupid. he doesn't feel as if it is stupid to fall in love with you. in fact, rayne does not regret ever giving his heart to you.
“rayne i promise i will dance with you soon. so stop crying okay? please stop crying, rayne,” you held his face, your own tears fighting to make their debut just as you felt your end nearing. “i’m sorry, rayne.”
...
huh?
. . .
“y/n no no no no you can't... please no, don't leave me please please please…”
that night, mountain god rayne ames wailed at the death of his beloved. so did his sacred mountain, in which petals and soil all decayed and wilted for their ruler's lover. the moon cried it's tears too, turning it's moonlight as gray as it could.
“welcome to easton magic academy! today is a brand new day for all of us! to officially enter the academy, all applicants must go through an entrance exam to determine if you are qualified to be in easton or not,” the host announced, ignoring the fact that the students were fawning over a beautiful princess from the royal family who stood among them like a commoner.
from the side, blank golden honey eyes stared at the said princess stoically. the boy let out a scoff at she was unbothered by the crowd gathering all around her. on the other side, there were people who whispered to each other in a salty conversation at a royal who attends a magic school with common people.
to the princess, she already expected such a commotion from the moment she opened her mouth to urge the words of wanting to go to school like normal people. this was the only consequence she had to bear if she wanted to be a normal girl.
“leave her highness alone,” the boy with honey eyes stood in front of the princess just as everyone else gasped at the double line on his face. they knew instantly not to mess with someone who harbours two magic lines, for the double-liners are feared among the academy.
the said double-liner took a glance back at you and gave you a bow. when he glanced back up to look at you, something sparked. there was something in your eyes that felt so familiar, along with the single line that ran across your nose. the princess seemed to have felt the same way, as she looked around the boy's face where his lines are engraved.
the boy felt rude for staring too long, so he averted his gaze away and apologised. his voice and the way he apologised is all so familiar for the princess too. she doesn't know what the feeling of knowing him is. but she is curious. “may i ask what your name is? it would be great if i have someone i know with me.”
what is her highness saying? rayne asked himself, bowing his head once more. “my name is rayne. rayne ames. your highness, i do not understand what you meant by someone you know. we have never met before.”
“rayne ames, rayne ames.. ames rayne..” the princess said repeatedly, trying to get a single of her senses right. but nothing came to mind. the same thing went on for rayne, he couldn't shake the feeling that the princess right in front of him is just so familiar in a way that her presence felt like home.
princess y/n of the l/n family, a royal princess born into the royal family. the next heiress to the throne, one with power all over the nation. she who is right here in this magic academy with every other maguses.
“princess y/n, uhm, have we danced together before?” rayne asked, suddenly remembering a memory that was locked away long ago, finally unlocked.
y/n thought for a while before nodding. “we have, i think.” she said and looked at rayne. “i don't know why nor do i remember, but i feel like i know you. oh well… do you want to dance together someday? perhaps we can figure out what's so familiar about each other.” she said with a small smile that instantly made rayne nervous.
“sure,” he quickly said, trying not to sound like he was nervous or having a shaky voice.
“let's begin the first exam!”
“we shall converse later, your highness,” said rayne as y/n sighed. “i am equal to everyone here, so in this academy, i am y/n.”
“alright warrior y/n. don't complain to his majesty if i end up being better than you.”
the princess playfully punched rayne's shoulders. “do not worry, i have grown stronger, stupid rayne.”
ryoh grantz watched from afar, sipping on a cup of expensive tea and a slow surfacing smile. “they are once again together huh?”
THE END — or perhaps not..? could the two have eventually found out about their last lives? are they able to live peacefully with each other around?

New ExperimentToy reveal!
Dr Draco Draconic(Aka The Guardian)
Subject Name: Draco Cole
Experiment number: Unknown
Experiment name: Dr Draco Draconic(Toy is named Mr Star)
Gender: Male
Stable or Unstable?: Stable
Personality: Strict, No-Nonsense, Manipulative(Only to keep up with his toy lie), Reassuring, Nurturing.
Role: (Experiment) Multiple Roles
Experiment abilities: Marksman, Luminous, Body heating, Strong legs and tail, Night vision.
Experiment weaknesses: Extreme Hunger(gets hungry quickly), Weak wings, Damaged tail, Useless wings
Does this experiment have any memories from their past?: Yes. Most of them.
Height: 13’1
Voice Claim: Gouhin(Beastars English Dub)
Dr Draco is a war veteran who would frequently come to Playtime Co. in hopes to find something to do due to having no family besides his less than kind sister. Before The Hour Of Joy, he was a frequent visitor. He knew most of the workers and other frequent visitors and would often bond with them. However, he unfortunately decided to come in when The Hour Of Joy hit. While he did fight back, that unfortunately wasn’t enough and he was then taken by the toys to be experimented on. Harley took him without the toy’s permission and experimented on him in hopes of getting a possible ally, making sure to wipe his memories of the experimenting to make him more loyal. While this worked, Draco was smart enough to not only escape, but to convince the toys that he was also a toy who was experimented on just like them when he was out.
He works at the prison, taking care of experiments while also disciplining them. He is harsher and meaner with the more feral and mean experiments. He’ll often attempt to get their behavior right, knowing that any of that behavior towards the toys would surely be a death sentence for them one day. Despite how mean or cruel he can seem to them at times, he genuinely cares for the other experiments and by further extent, the toys, just on a lesser level.
He’ll often encourage the toys to go to sleep or to have some free time while he handles the experiments. He makes sure that they’re in their cells before a certain time, brings them food and while he tries to make sure they don’t escape, he can’t always succeed in that. Overall…he’s the best choice to take care of the experiments. After all, a toy being the warden would’ve been far worse.
•Draco used to use his strong tail in order to fight, but after many fights he now has a bunch of holes and scars battering his tail. This led him to cover it up so that he could continue using it, but to also hide the imperfections on it.
•While he doesn’t use his whip often, he’ll only use it on feral and violent experiments as a substitute for his gun. When asked how he knows how to use a gun by the higher ups, he claimed that his father simply taught him at a young age. It’s not a complete lie.
•He absolutely despises alcohol to a personal level. Some toys and experiments even thinks he may have Dipsophobia though he seems more bitter and angry towards the drink than anxious and afraid.
•He’s either feared by the experiments or they adore him. Some experiments simply don’t like him and attempt to attack him. Last time that happened, he kicked Bolt in the face and broke his jaw.
•He doesn’t like to play favorites, but if an experiment does a favor for him or shows him an act of kindness(or if it’s a violent experiment who’s showing symptoms of getting better), he’ll allow for them to leave their cells for longer than normal and by extent, may even let them roam the entire factory however they want to for at least a week.
•Most toys who he attempt to get to relax are the toys who either stay up at a late time or toys who work a lot.
•He’ll only help security if more than 5 experiments are deemed missing and are missing for more than 3 days.
•Surprisingly, A.C. has never given Draco false information or rudely and wrongly corrected him.
•Sometimes referred to as “The Guardian” by some experiments.
•He actually named himself because after escaping, he decided that he didn’t like Harley’s name option
DR DRACO DRACONIC EXAMPLE DIALOGUE

“Oh- how the cookie crumbles I suppose…”(Random)
“What the hell is this?? Wh- ALCOHOL!? Wh- where did you even GET THIS!?”(Found alcohol somewhere. He’s not happy)
“Look…ya don’t have to do it. I’m just asking you to try.”(Wants an experiment to do something)

“Experimentin- oh..yes…the experiments. What an…awful time.”(Asked about the experiments before the hour of joy by a toy)
“You should get some sleep. Here, Let me do it.”(Trying to get a toy to relax)
“I suggest you take a break. Talk to a friend or something, you look exhausted.”(Trying to get a toy to relax)

"Sleep. I'll keep you safe." - Jason Teague x Female Reader
Summary: Jason has just helped you escape the clutches of his nefarious mother. Where will you go from here now that you know the truth?
Pairing: Jason Teague x Female!Reader A/N: Prompt from @thelonelyempath. I wanted to dabble in the darker side of Jason’s arc in the show and the mention of the stones, Lana, and his mom. There’s such a clear line cut of when he turns from being a character that has your sympathies who is striving hard for some redemption we don’t yet understand into being revealed as a calculating murderer who has severe mommy issues (I say that with love of course). The original ending was going to be much darker but I’ll admit, once I got to it, I just couldn’t do it. To Jason or Y/N. So I apologize if this has the feeling of crawling up to the dark edge to peek over it but then a backing off. Beta'd by @rieleatiel. Warnings: mentions of gun, implied violence, mentions of kidnapping, mentions of injuries, mentions of possible murder scenarios, mentions of infidelity Word Count: 4761 First posted on here: 1/1/24
Jason unlocked the motel room door and urged you in first as he glanced around, making sure no one else was around. Once you were in, he flipped the light on and moved towards the windows to draw the curtains closed. You remained where he left you, frozen in shock, and dripping on the cheap and questionable-looking carpet.
Both of you were soaked through. You’d gotten caught in the storm when Jason had freed you from captivity, hence beginning the run for your life. Thunder cracked above, causing the motel to shake, and you jumped slightly. You’d been hearing thunder for the last half hour, running in the downpour as lightning ripped through the skies overhead once Jason dumped the car he’d been driving. It was too risky to keep especially since he’d likely stolen it just for this mission alone, thus he’d simply grabbed a bag out of the trunk, tossed it over his shoulder, took your hand, and threw the keys out into the surrounding grass. Ever since, you’d been on the run, Jason leading you to the next town over. When you were both exhausted, Jason had decided on this motel, paid cash for a room, and now you were here. Alone. At any second, you could be taken away again since a certain someone wanted you out of the way and you had a figurative price on your head. Something told you that if you were taken again, this time it would be ensured that you wouldn’t actually survive it. They didn’t want to keep you tied to a chair or temporarily removed from the board — it was clear that they wanted you gone completely.
You watched Jason move around to further secure the place and, the shock wearing off, you slowly brought yourself to sit down on the edge of one of the beds, not caring that you were probably soaking through the bedspread. You stared into space as flashes of memories began to assault you. You hadn’t been physically tortured, but the things you were told, the things you’d been shown…well, all of that, you’d rather forget.
You heard a click that made your eyes snap up in Jason’s direction, seeing him checking his gun. That was something new, Jason not only being armed but also apparently being an expert marksman, something he’d proven when coldly and efficiently dispatching your guards. You highly doubted that either of them would ever walk properly again, and it was just one of the many new things you’d learned about your boyfriend these past three days; never in a million years would you have ever thought him capable of wielding a gun. You’d been dating him for six months and it turned out you never really knew him — the real him. Sure, you knew his name was Jason Teague, but you didn’t know just what kinds of things actually came with that name. And to think, you thought the Luthors were soulless, dysfunctional, greedy monsters.
You stared ahead at the dresser. In a small voice, you stated, “I should call Clark, let him know I’m safe. The Kents can call my parents and let them know I’m okay. Or I can call Lana…if you want.”
Jason stopped what he was doing and his gaze landed on you. Out of the corner of your eye, you saw his jaw clench and his lips press together. Truthfully, you were surprised he had even bothered rescuing you since it turned out you weren’t the only Smallville native he had been dating. How he managed to pull that one off you couldn’t be sure. Then again, he had managed to keep this side of himself under wraps up until three days ago when all the while, you’d never been the wiser. You were in love and happy, only seeing what he wanted you to see — how could he not be successful at keeping the fact that he was seeing one of your best friends hidden from you, too?
“You can’t,” Jason answered, his tone icy. “It’s too risky right now.”
You managed a slow nod, your eyes never lifting from the dresser. You’d expected as much and honestly, you didn’t want to drag your parents, the Kents, Clark, or anyone else into this mess. You refused to put them in danger; you’d die first, something that was likely going to happen soon anyway. It was probably better for them not to know the truth about what was going to happen to you. Lana… Well, Lana was already caught up in this whether she knew it or not. You just hoped she had a better chance than you did and that she got out of this. And you really hoped that if she found out the truth about Jason (and you really wanted her to) that she would be stronger than you to get past the pain of his betrayal and get as far away from him as she could. He was a walking death sentence and even though she had unknowingly participated in your heartbreak, you didn’t want that for her at all.
Jason crouched down in front of you but you refused to meet his eyes, instead looking down at your lap. “Let’s see those cuts.” You were numb when he pulled your hands to him and studied the indentations and burns the ropes had made on your wrists. He glanced up at you but you kept your gaze on your injuries. “They’re not as bad as I thought they’d be but they should still be cleaned.” He reached over to his bag and pulled out a first aid kit. You watched in confusion as he proceeded to clean your wounds and then bandage them with great care. If you didn’t know any better, you would almost think the old Jason, the Jason who’d come into the coffee shop you worked at every summer day to flirt with you until you agreed to a date, was starting to show through. But you did know better, and you knew that he was a far better actor than you’d ever given him credit for.
When he was done, he tenderly rubbed a thumb over one of the bandages. “There,” he murmured. This time, when he lifted his eyes to yours, you didn’t avoid his gaze. You tried to see the man you once knew who had actually held you as you cried when your divorced parents’ bickering and dramatics ruined your 18th birthday dinner; you had already been nervous-yet-excited beforehand because you were announcing that you and Jason were going to travel to Europe for two weeks. You’d always wanted to go, but it seemed to be only a dream — one that was out of your reach until Jason surprised you with two tickets to London as a birthday gift. The trip ended up being canceled later anyway because Jason suddenly had to fly to Paris on an urgent business matter for his mother, something that she was going to pay him for. He needed the money since his father had cut him off and he was starting at CKU in the fall. You’d offered to go with him, but he said he wouldn’t have any time for sightseeing, promising he’d call you often and bring you back some French souvenirs, swearing he’d pick out the best spots for you two to return to at a later date. He’d kissed you goodbye and gave you that brilliant smile of his, waving as he moved further into the airport. He ended up staying in Paris for weeks and when he came back, he seemed distant and a little busier, but you chalked it up to him starting classes and his new job right away. Now, obviously, you knew that that wasn’t the case, but as you stared into his jade-colored eyes, you didn’t see a trace of the Jason you’d met before that trip to Paris. He had never really existed, had he?
The real Jason, the one you’d come to know now, cupped your chin and studied your face from all angles. “We’ve been so busy running that I haven’t really had a chance to look you over. Did they hurt you?”
“Not physically.”
Jason’s eyes snapped to yours. “What does that—”
You got to your feet, the action knocking his hand away, and you moved towards the table he’d left the gun on. You stopped right before it and stared down at the weapon, almost as if it was mocking you by being there.
“Y/N.” You heard the familiar soft call of your voice and you briefly closed your eyes. If only you had never met him… Gentle hands landed on your shoulders and turned you around to face him, seeing the cold aloofness from before had all but vanished. “I need you to tell me. What did they—”
You decided you were done holding back. You’d been through hell the past few days, you were exhausted and depleted of any energy or motivation for anything else, and who knew how long you had? “You never really loved me, did you?”
His eyes widened. “What? Of course I love you, Y/N. I’m here, aren’t I? I went and got you out of there. I—”
“I wouldn’t have been there if it wasn’t for you.”
Jason’s face fell, appearing as if you’d slapped him, and then his expression hardened. “What did my mother say to you?”
Your gaze remained on him. “She told me everything.” You watched as that realization played over his features and his jaw tightened. “So, yeah, I know about the stones, you and Lana…” His eyes appeared to be slightly glassy (or maybe it was the lighting from the lamp behind you) as he cocked his head a little, looking at you, yet he didn’t even try to deny it. How could he? It was nothing but the truth, and worse, his mother had been the one to tell you that truth; how was that for irony? “When you canceled our trip, when you didn’t want me to go to Paris with you, how distracted you were when you came back, how busy you were — it really explains everything, doesn’t it?” His gaze softened slightly and he briefly hung his head. “I was just too stupid to see it.”
His head snapped up. “No,” he insisted, laying a hand on your cheek. “You weren’t stupid. I was. I should have let you go the moment I met Lana in Paris.”
Even though you thought your heart couldn’t break any more than it already had these past three days, it turned out you were wrong. Your eyes began to sting as tears built up in the corners. While you already knew of his two-timing, you didn’t think he’d come right out and just say it, and in such a blase manner to boot. And how easily you would have been tossed aside, as if you’d meant nothing…that hurt.
A hurt that mirrored your own flickered across his face as he gently cupped yours. “But I didn’t want to.”
“Why?” You choked out.
“Because you mean the world to me,” he murmured, placing his forehead against yours. “Because you’re what I want and I was too selfish to give you up.” He ran his nose along yours just like he used to and you involuntarily shivered. “I love you, Y/N. Always have.” His eyes dropped to your lips and when he leaned in, you pulled away and stepped closer to the table.
“No, you don’t. If you did, you never would have put me in danger or let me become mixed up in all of this while you pursued one of my best friends behind my back. You would have just left me alone in that coffee shop,” you gritted out, a tear slipping down your cheek that you quickly wiped away. “What was the point of it all, Jason? Was I just some distraction for you that you could drop at a moment’s notice when your mother called? And Lana,” You scoffed and wiped away another tear. “It would be one thing if you actually loved her, but you’re just using her to get the stones. You’re doing the same thing to her that you did to me. You used both of us! And for what? Some ancient stones that your mother believes are supposed to give her some sort of power? So that you make Mommy Dearest happy and can go back into the unhealthy Teague fold? What’s the motivation here?”
He swallowed compulsively as you laid bare his transgressions, yet his eyes never left your face. “I never used you.”
You huffed out a laugh of disbelief. “That’s it? That’s all you have to say?”
His jaw tensed but he stayed silent.
You slowly nodded and after a moment, your eyes trailed to the gun on the table between you. “So when do you use that on me? When your mother tells you to, or when you’re finally done with me?”
You heard a tiny choked sound and you glanced up to find Jason staring at you in horror. He rushed over to you, causing you to stiffen, and he gripped your face as he searched your eyes. “I would never hurt you!” Too late on that count. He watched as another tear rolled down your cheek and his expression softened. “Y/N, I need you to listen to me,” he entreated softly, wiping away the tear with his thumb. “You were never supposed to know about any of this. I kept you at a distance when I came back because I didn’t want you becoming mixed up in this. My mother, she promised she’d leave you alone if I just…” He took a deep breath to compose himself. “I’ve done things I’m not proud of. I never wanted you to see this side of me. Ever. My plan was just to get her what she wanted, this last thing, and then I’d be free to come back here, be with you, and start over, live my life, but…” He shook his head. “I guess that’s all a moot point now, isn’t it?” A tiny smile played upon his lips, devoid of any mirth, as he let you go and turned his back to you, running a hand down his face.
You glanced once more at the gun, wondering if you should try to grab it but you weren’t sure if you were fast enough. And if you did get the gun, what then? Would you really be able to use it against him, to pull the trigger?
“If you want to walk out that door, I won’t stop you.” Your gaze snapped up to Jason’s back. “Just promise me you’ll take it with you.” You briefly flicked your eyes to the gun once more. “It’s fully loaded. And there’s plenty of cash in the bag. Take it all with you, run as far as you can until you can get safe, stay off the grid, and I’ll do everything I can to keep her from going after you. I’ll distract her with the stones, lie and say I killed you so she’s satisfied, whatever it takes.”
Your eyes widened at his words. Run? You didn’t know how to run or stay off the grid. Maybe you’d seen something like it in a movie once, but that was fiction, not reality. Did he really think Genevieve Teague would believe his lie about you? Granted, he was good at lying as you now knew but he wouldn’t be able to fool her. Unless she was right in what she had told you, that you never really mattered to Jason in the first place, so it wasn’t too far-fetched for her to believe that you’d be so easily disposed of without a second thought by her son. “And how long is that supposed to buy me, Jason?”
“There’s enough money in there for you to start over, to get a new life. You could go anywhere in the world you want. Canada, Cape Town, Tokyo, England.” At that, your eyes burned once more but you huffed out a breath of disbelief. “Anywhere you want to go.”
“And my parents?” You bit out. “My life? Graduating high school at the very least?”
“You making it out of this alive is more important than any of that.” Jason let out a sad sigh. “It’s my fault you’re in this now, that you’re in danger, but I promise I never wanted this for you. I never wanted to hurt you. I’m sorry, I really am.” He turned his head slightly back towards you. “I do love you, Y/N. I always have. I hope you believe me when I tell you that I always wanted to come back and have things be like the way they used to be. I miss those days more than you know,” he ended in a whisper.
“You can’t go back,” you whispered back.
You saw his shoulders drop slightly and he nodded. “I know.” His tone sounded defeated. “And that’s why you should go. But before you do, I need you to know one thing.”
You waited for him to say whatever he was planning on saying.
“You were never a distraction. That trip to Europe we were planning, those nights under the stars, everything we talked about, us…that was the real deal.”
Your lip wobbled and you bit down into it, trying to keep the tears at bay as a memory resurfaced of you and Jason lying on the hood of his car under the clear night sky. He showed you where all of the constellations were (initially, you only knew where the Big and Little Dippers were), and you’d both spoken about each of your dreams for your lives. After you’d excitedly pointed out a shooting star, he’d told you to close your eyes and make a wish. You did and that was when he kissed you for the first time. He’d breathlessly asked you about your wish afterwards and you’d smiled right at him, saying it came true. He’d given you that bright smile of his in return and leaned in to kiss you again, murmuring, “Mine too.”
Another memory shook loose of a night you’d stayed with him. He had been staying at a local B&B over the summer before his trip to Paris. When you two began to get serious, you’d taken to spending more time with him there, even sneaking out a time or two to stay the night unbeknownst to your parents. Nothing ever happened between you during that time but he would hold you and you both would laugh and talk and just enjoy being together. One such night, you’d fallen asleep but you had a nightmare. Someone was chasing you and you were running for your life. You ran into Jason telling him that you both needed to run, but he didn’t seem to understand the danger you both were in. He seemed distracted and looking elsewhere, not at you or where you were pointing. It wasn’t long until this unidentifiable assailant caught up to you and at the last second, Jason stepped in front of you, telling you to run right before he was killed in front of you. You’d woken with a loud gasp, your scream caught in your throat, and shot right up in bed.
Jason had immediately awoken and was trying to calm you down, to get you to breathe as he tenderly rubbed your back, and he kept telling you it was just a nightmare. You didn’t tell him what the dream entailed but you’d thrown your arms around his neck and held him close as he attempted to comfort you. Eventually, he’d laid you both back down, his hand gently running through your hair as you kept your head on his chest, your ear positioned perfectly over his beating heart to reassure yourself.
“It was just a dream, sweetheart,” he had hummed against your forehead. “I’m right here and you’re okay.” Hearing his soothing words and heartbeat, feeling the tender caresses of his hand up and down your back, you did start to drift back off, hoping against hope the nightmare didn’t continue. You weren’t sure how you’d endure a world without Jason in it, even just a dream world. Just before you’d fallen back into slumber, you’d heard him murmur sleepily to you, “Sleep. I’ll keep you safe.” You’d smiled and whispered that you loved him which caused him to smile as well and whisper the sentiment back to you. And he had — kept you safe, that is.
And now here you were, considering taking the gun and running for your life like you had in that nightmare, though this time was real and you would now also be running from his mother, from him. How had things gone so terribly wrong in only a few months’ time?
Another tear slipped down your cheek but this time, you didn’t wipe it away. “It was for me, too,” you admitted in a whisper.
Jason slowly turned back to you and you could see a recent tear track on his own cheek. “This was never supposed to happen,” he said softly. He drifted towards you and perhaps you were so caught up in memories that you didn’t back away or even tense up. Instead, when he laid a hand against your cheek, you leaned into it. Despite everything he’d said and done, despite how much he hurt you and your life had become a casualty due to his choices in his mother’s obsessive quest for a particular set of artifacts, your heart still yearned for him. When he moved even closer, leaning in to kiss you, you welcomed it. When more memories began to wash over you, of everything you had lost and would lose, you threw your arms around him and kissed him more passionately, tears rolling down your cheeks. Gone were the plans of you attending CKU with him; gone were the plans of you two moving in together, spending the holidays with your family, and traveling abroad to see all of the places you both wanted to see; gone was the future Jason had talked about wanting to have with you eventually down the road — all of it was just gone in a single moment of Genevieve Teague revealing who her son really was and just how much control she had over him. You supposed you hadn’t really had time to properly mourn the end of those dreams, of your relationship, everything you believed it had been — it only made sense to kiss it goodbye. Literally.
When you both broke apart for air, he laid his forehead against yours and closed his eyes. “I don’t want to let you go,” he whispered.
“Then don’t.”
His eyes snapped open in surprise. Truthfully, your words surprised even you. He lifted his head and looked down at you, his brows furrowing and his face lining with a mix of suspicion and confusion. Still, his green gaze lit with a dim gleam of hope.
“You don’t have to be this person anymore. You can give it all up and walk away. You said yourself that there’s more than enough money in that bag to start over somewhere new.” He went to say something when you framed his face with your hands, gazing up at him as earnestly as you could. “So do it. Make a different choice.”
He stared into your eyes. “Y/N,” he murmured. “I don’t know if I—”
His cell phone began to ring on the table, near the gun. You both turned to glance at it before turning back to each other. You silently pleaded with him to do as you’d suggested. He had made it sound so easy, that you could walk out that door and start all over — if it was that easy, why couldn’t he do the same? Your heart sank when he gently removed your hands from his face and began to move towards the table.
You swallowed the lump that had lodged itself in your throat and though your eyes burned with new tears, they didn’t fall. He watched you as he approached the ringing phone and picked it up in his hand. You felt numb as you took a step forward and picked up the bag, slinging it over your shoulder. It was clear that he wasn’t going to make a different choice, and it was clear that you were also screwed and needed to run like he’d told you. If his mother was calling him, then that meant she already knew he had helped you escape and she could be on her way right this second, or worse, right outside the door. You picked up the gun and you hated how it felt in your hands. It was heavy, sure, but also light enough that you could easily lift it and fit your finger inside the trigger handle at a moment’s notice. You’d never shot a gun before so you probably wouldn’t hit whatever or whoever you targeted, but at least you’d be able to wield it to an extent.
The next thing you knew, Jason hurled the ringing phone at the wall, making you jump as it loudly cracked into two pieces.
You turned wide eyes on him but he quickly approached you, his jaw clenched. For a moment, you wondered if you’d actually have to try to use the weapon in your hand to try to defend yourself, though you didn’t know if you had it in you to hurt him. Sure, you’d fight to survive, but your traitorous heart still loved him. Luckily, you were spared from having to make that decision when he snatched it out of your hand (which did make you a bit nervous at first) and cupped your face, his green eyes staring into yours, that slight hope from earlier now a blazing inferno mixed with determination. “A different choice,” he whispered, almost as if he was sounding out the words for the first time. After a moment, he gave you a slow nod, put the gun away, and leaned in to brush his lips against yours. “Let’s do it.”
“Really? You’re sure?” You breathed, your heart starting to lighten inside your chest.
A tender smile stretched across his face and he kissed you again. “Yeah,” he murmured. “Yeah, I’m sure.” He kissed you one more time and took your hand, leading you to the door.
You stopped in your tracks, though, when a thought hit you. “My parents…”
“Let me get us out of here and we’ll decide what to do about letting them know you’re okay without tipping off my mother.”
You nodded, still beyond surprised that he had actually listened to you considering how tightly his mother seemed to have control over him. “Jason, are you really sure? Won’t your mother be even more upset if you leave and don’t help her with the stones? And what about Lana? I don’t want her to get—”
He laid a gentle finger on your lips and kissed your nose. “Like I said, let me get us out of here first. We’ll handle everything else after. Okay?” At your nod, he smiled again, stroking your cheek with his thumb. “If you could go anywhere in the world today, where would you go?”
You nearly smiled at the familiar question — it was similar to the one he’d once asked you, beaming right before he’d pulled out the two tickets to London from behind his back, making your eyes widen and you practically squeal with glee before launching yourself at him and pressing kisses all over his face, making him laugh. You could see his eyes soften slightly as you realized he was reliving the same memory.
This time, you gave it some thought before answering, “Iceland.”
“Iceland?” He asked, sounding pleasantly surprised.
You nodded. “It’s supposed to be beautiful there. I’ve seen pictures and I’ve always wanted to go. Plus, it never gets fully dark there.”
He tenderly stroked your chin with his thumb. “And we could see the Northern lights when it does,” he murmured.
“We’d never be fully in the dark, there’d always be light.” You pressed your lips together and stared up at him meaningfully. “I like the sound of that.”
He ran his hand gently over your hair and his affectionate smile grew as he nodded. “Then Iceland it is.”
A/N: Sequel coming soon...

i'm absolutely obsessed with this AU
the idea of chaos-gremlin-jason being completely off the wall and just batting his eyelashes in innocence as he disarms a bomb, takes down 3 armed gunmen without breaking a sweat, reveals himself to be an expert marksman from a carnival game, or "accidentally" gets lost on a family vacation to the swiss alps and "happens" to find a little boy named Damian is fucking hilarious
manipulating everyone around him into being happier and more well adjusted while living his best life is the ultimate revenge for all the shit he's gone through
do you have a planned out trajectory for this AU or are you just fly by vibes?
Thank you so much I also love chaso-gremlin- jason lol
And to answer your question I have small idea like things I need to hit in the chapter and stuff but when I sit down to write a chapter I think the characters possess me lol half the time I am surprised by the plot twist and funny jokes lol

ARCHER - "Heroic Spirit of the Bow"
The Summoning Circle hums with immense power-- you can call forth an ARCHER! Who responds to your call?
Summoning Polls for the ’Cipher Holy Grail War’ close at the end of the week (3/21)! You decide who represents the Archer-Class!
Decide between the bowman Robin Hood, the warlord Oda Nobunaga, or the princess Helen of Sparta!
Vote HERE to join the Archer Crew!
Servant Details:
Robin Hood:
The 'Green Man' of the forest, the child of a druid who fought for the sake of the poor and downtrodden. An expert marksman who specializes in traps, poisons, and guerilla tactics. This is but one of many individuals who claimed the name of 'Robin Hood' over the years. While he does not consider himself a 'hero', and those against him saw him as a trickster and a cheat in life, his actions and his ultimate enshrinement within the Throne of Heroes tells a much different story.
Oda Nobunaga:
The self-proclaimed Demon King of the Sixth Heaven, the daimyo Oda Nobunaga. A pioneer of warfare when it came to adopting and making efficient use of new Western weaponry, she swiftly scorched her name into the annals of history with her wit, might, and resourcefulness. An individual who seems foolish on the surface, but will quickly reveal just how she inspired both fear and respect in her subordinates when the moment requires it.
Helen of Sparta:
The woman who served as one of the sparks of the great Trojan War. As an 'Archer', she borrows the bow of the Trojan Prince, Paris. As a Heroic Spirit, she conceals her face, as revealing her beauty causes immediate chaos. Despite being considered a noncombatant, she desires to fight on her own terms- though her status as a demigoddess (and twin sister to two overbearing siblings) makes things difficult for that to occur.
…In other words, there are two meddlesome stars that occasionally shove in to protect her, whether she likes it or not.

Freikugel / フライクーゲル
Freikugel (JP: フライクーゲル; rōmaji: furaikūgeru) is the Hero's Relic tied to the Crest of Goneril. Rather than pulling from classic Norse and Germanic folklore, this axe references far more modern legends. The Freischütz, literally meaning "the free shooter" but often localized as "the marksman," refers to a man that made a deal with the devil. He is provided with a collection of magic bullets called Freikugeln (singular: Freikugel; lit. "free bullet") that will always strike their target. However, at least one of these bullets will be controlled by the devil, often causing the marksman's downfall. The earliest forms of this legend, traced to at least the late fifteenth century in Malleus Maleficarum in written form, had a man shoot a cross with an arrow in an attempt to gain three that he could guide when used. This would morph into the myth of forging bullets at night with the aid of witchcraft.
The most famous version of the story, written by Johann August Apel and Friedrich Laun, would be adapted into the opera Der Freischütz by Carl Maria von Weber and Friedrich Kind. In the story, the forester Max needs to prove himself in marksmanship before the prince to take his beloved Agathe for a wife. His friend and senior forester Kaspar, who longs for Agathe but was rejected, shows Max in private the ability of his last Freikugel, swaying him to cast more bullets so he can guarantee his marriage. In truth, Kaspar sought revenge against Agathe and the dead of Max. When he convened with his forbidden connection of Samiel, he sold Max's soul for seven bullets and a promise that one of them would be dead the next day. Before they arrive at the ceremony, Max and Kaspar used six Freikugeln: only the devil's bullet remained. When that bullet was loosed, it struck Kaspar, leaving Max to reveal the sin they committed.
The reference to the Freischütz is likely meant to relate to the character of Hilda, the only character able to use it at full strength. After all, she's the type of girl to take the easy way out, and gets others to do things for her. By using Freikugeln, Max and Kaspar tried to take the easy way out, rather than actually proving themselves.
The combat art Apocalyptic Flame has a few layers to its name. Firstly, in invokes the concept of the apocalypse, the end of the world as we know it. Typically the word apocalypse invokes the Judeo-Christian interpretation of the world's conclusion. Most prominent of these is the Book of Revelation from the New Testament, an event often depicted with fire raining upon the earth (said to occur after the first of the seven trumpets is sounded). Interestingly, the events of Revelation are supposed to bring the end of the devil Satan and sin, despite the axe being named after what he has dominion over.
In Japanese, Apocalyptic Flame is called 劫火 (rōmaji: gōka). This is a term used in Buddhism and Hinduism to refer to the fire that destroys the world in those faiths' apocalypses. In both the Buddhist apocalypse and the Hindu Pralaya, after a kalpa or aeon (JP: 劫; rōmaji: kō)—a bit longer than four-billion years in Hinduism—feature the world engulfed in the heat of seven suns. For the Buddhists, those who survive the destruction of the earth are the faithful. According to Hinduism, all life on earth would die out in a hundred-year drought prior to the entire universe being set ablaze. After total destruction, the god Vishnu brings a century of rain to bring an end to the fires, and Brahma creates the universe anew. Additionally, the name 劫火 is pronounced similarly to the word 豪華 (rōmaji: gōka), which refers to a showy life of luxury, appropriate for Hilda's character.

Some headcanons about my Warhammer AU for clone wars:
- Rex uses dual Laspistols instead of a standard pattern lasgun
- Fives and Echo are Tempestus Scions who are part of Inquisitor Skywalker’s retinue, so they just serve with the 501st Kaminoan Regiment
- Hardcase is their plasma gunner and frequently overheats his plasma gun by accident because he just fires it without thinking to watch out for the heat, so he burns his hands a lot.
- Dogma is the regimental Ecclesiarchy Zealot. He loves quoting scripture and trying to remind everyone of their holy duty to the Emperor
- Tup is their radioman and carries the Vox
- Anakin was an Interrogator under Inquisitor Kenobi and has remained friends with him since his promotion
- Commissar Krell was hated by the 501st and personally executed by Inquisitor Skywalker. Dogma disapproved, believing he was a good commissar who carried out the Emperor’s will, until evidence revealed Krell was actually a heretic.
- Strike Force 99 is comprised of Hunter, a mostly regular guardsman, marksman Crosshair, Magos Tech of the Adeptus Mechanicus, and bonehead Ogryn Wrecker.
- Wrecker is smart for an Ogryn, but he is still slow when compared to most average humans
-Strike Force 99 found an orphan named Omega during one of their missions who now lives aboard their customized Valkyrie.

propaganda under the cut. (Spoilers for KOS and ROW). Nikolai info taken from the grishaverse wiki.
Threads:
Threads is a 1984 British-Australian apocalyptic war drama television film jointly produced by the BBC, Nine Network and Western-World Television Inc. Written by Barry Hines and directed and produced by Mick Jackson, it is a dramatic account of nuclear war and its effects in Britain, specifically on the city of Sheffield in Northern England. The plot centres on two families as a confrontation between the United States and the Soviet Union erupts. As the nuclear exchange between NATO and the Warsaw Pact begins, the film depicts the medical, economic, social and environmental consequences of nuclear war.[2]
Nikolai Lantsov is a former King of Ravka. He is the second son of Alexander III (though later revealed to be the biological son of Magnus Opjer). He spent many years undercover, taking on a variety of jobs and hobbies.
Personality and traits
As Sturmhond, he appears to be cocky and brash, always "using ten words when two would have sufficed." He is rather mysterious; no one is able to tell where he is from or what his real name is. Sturmhond is said to have the respect of his crew, not their fear; he is able to retain their loyalty without resorting to threats of power plays that Alina has seen the Darkling employ, and it is said that he "does things his own way," implying that he abides by his own rules rather than conventional ones.
He is shown to be proficient with a number of weapons and is always seen to be bearing an assortment of weapons, including a brace of pistols, several knives, and a sword. He seems to have a particular fondness for the sword, even being willing to instruct Mal in the use of it. Usually, Sturmhond is observed wearing a bright teal frock coat with gaudy gold buttons and huge cuffs that Alina thinks would be more at home in a ballroom than on a ship's deck. When Alina and Mal dine with him, he shows a preference for fine cooking – the ship's crew includes a chef employed for this purpose. In conversation, he is jovial and intentionally lighthearted; though, when he is challenged, he betrays a much harder edge.
Alina and Mal are impressed by Nikolai's ability to appeal to the people around them and present them with a persona that they want to see. During this time, he shows himself to be extremely socially intelligent and willing to do whatever he can to manipulate the public into supporting him. He is really fair and just and cannot stand the mistreatment of innocent people. Nikolai is very intelligent and is said to excel at practically anything he tries. Nikolai suffers from being told he is ‘Nikolai Nothing’ by his brother and comments about his parentage but he hides his insecurities and does his best to satisfy everyone. He is adored by the public.
Skills and abilities.
Nikolai is a gifted fighter, swordsman, and marksman having learned to fight in street brawls as a child and serving in the First Army.
Nikolai is a natural leader, diplomat, and strategist.
Nikolai is a master actor able to pass off as Sturmhond which helps him be very manipulative and persuasive with his natural charisma.
Nikolai can juggle.
In King of Scars and Rule of Wolves, Nikolai is able to use his monster form while remaining conscious. He can fly and use his fangs/claws.
Nikolai can pilot airships and fighter planes, dating back to his experiments with his ship the Hummingbird.
Nikolai is a gifted inventor, when he was a child he turned a priceless Lantsov clock into a bizarre contraption.

Name: Liam Bryne Age: 45 Town Occupation: Hunter / Outside Security Previous Occupation: Legionnaire Redwood Resident Length: Old Redwood resident newly arrived Faceclaim: Pablo Schreiber
Bullet Points:
Liam is fluent in French , he does mostly use it with Tessa and Brady out of habit. They still refer to him as "capitaine" . It is also the language he uses to talk to his dog.
Liam trained Juno for detecting the undead and biting. She's a very intelligent and quick dog , a true asset.
On his trip , he aimed to look for information on what Penny had revealed. He found some data and samples he has brought back with him and plan to give to Penny eventually. He does not know if it is viable
Liam is really skilled to blend into forest/jungle areas, he used to be more of a tracker for David , but if he hunts, uses a crossbow instead of a rifle
Liam is an expert marksman , a lethal close -range combattant and lives still by the code of the Legionnaires
He's plagued by an underlining anger steming from different factors in his life , he loses patience rather quickly and will let you know. He hates cock fighting and finds it just ridiculous.
Biography:
Liam Bryne was born in Dublin to a modest family. His father was a teacher and his mother worked at a hotel nearby. His younger years, he spent a lot in the places nobody knew about at the hotel and the people there became some sort of extended family to him. There were no tragic events in his youth, and while he was not the best at school, he managed to stay away from most troubles. This would end when at 18 , his parents died in a car accident. It had been a harsh winter, the road was slippery, the car fell down a ravine. Liam survived but endured being with his parents for more than a day. He realized at the hospital how alone he was, how fast life could end and how lost he was. It took months for him to figure out what to do and get out of the grief enough to think of a future. He sold the house, he sold everything, and left. While Dublin had given him life, it had also taken his family, thus becoming a tomb to him.
He roamed through Europe for a while, trying to forget the accident, the smells, the pain. Liam tried to heal, but it seemed like the more he pushed it all away, the more it ate him. It came to the point where he decided to knock on that fateful iron gate in Paris. The emblem on the gate read “légion étrangère” (foreign legion). He had listened to people talking about it and felt compelled to give it a try. Their reputation was worldwide, respected and maybe feared by many, he did find a way in being a legionnaire. The training was intense to the point of him feeling physically sick, but it was also cathartic. For the first time since his family died, he felt like he belonged to this unit, brothers in arms. He would finish top of his class and go become a paratrooper.
By the time the virus hit, Liam acting captain was on a mission in South America. From the company a lot died within the first hours of contact. Long months followed; the orders last in were to go up to Canada. He was honestly not sure they would make it. In the end, only two remained by his side: Tessa and Brady. The trio eventually stumbled on Penny when Liam was wounded by savagers attacking. Even though he was injured, he put a lot of them down before collapsing. A fever struck and they stumbled on Redwood just in time to treat him. Showing the tough nature of being a Legionnaire, he was up and running before he should have. Honestly, he found hope in Redwood , and after discussing it with Tessa and Brady, they agreed that there wasn’t anyone to return to , probably. The radio had been still for a long time. So they joined, as hunters and protectors of the civilians. Their trio got a member more , a malinois he named Juno.
They were on a hunting trip when the reavers attacked but managed still come back to defend Redwood. A lot of blood was shed by the legionnaires on that day, who then proceeded to give them a burial themselves. Liam disagreed with a lot of the Beckett’s decisions but kept his anger at bay thanks to Penny. That , sadly only lasted until a night around a bonefire and a revelation that would push him off a wrong end. After a violent fight with her, the day after, he decided to leave, not giving any explanation, not even to David with whom he had bonded closely. In fact, he left things sour with a lot of people as he left. Tessa decided to join him, while Brady decided to remain. It has been months now, but it seems that a familiar face is to make a return to Redwood, bringing a cart with food and materials from his time away.

I started a text-based role-playing game with a created storyline involving Mortimer and Manco
Imagine that the scene of their first meeting turns out to be a bit... awkward. Mortimer wishes to form a partnership with Manco (to increase their chances of survival in a showdown with a larger gang). When he enters the room, he finds Manco in the bath (similar to the scene with Tuco in the movie 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'). Just read the excerpt I wrote. When I reread it, it feels so intimate...
«Bitter smoke enveloped and filled the lungs, bringing a long-awaited drop of solace. Mortimer even relaxed his tense shoulders slightly, settling into the chair. His finely honed instincts, dormant for years, remained silent, leaving him calm. The sight of the man in the adjacent chair was more inviting than off-putting, particularly his current attire, or rather, the lack of it. The Colonel allowed himself to ponder that usually nudity was a sign of exceptional trust for him, but the man across from him was clearly not part of the timid bunch, as he didn't even flinch under another's gaze.
The Colonel let the smoke flow through his lungs and silently observed the actions of the hunter. Smooth motions, devoid of any flaws. Mortimer managed to catch sight of the man's hands and noted that they were the hands of a shooter, not a farmer. So, Manco it was. The one-armed man. Douglas contemplatively chewed on his pipe stem, thinking that the hunter probably hadn't revealed his real name just now. Refusing the drink would be taken as a refusal to continue the conversation, so he accepted the gesture, taking the glass in his hands and initially scrutinizing it, allowing the light from the fireplace to pass through the transparent glass. He then removed the pipe and took a sip immediately after the hunter. Yes, this whiskey was far superior to what he had sampled in the saloon. The guy knew his liquor.
Suddenly, Mortimer realized that he had also become the object of someone else's scrutiny, feeling the gliding gaze upon him. There was no shyness in the air, and he liked it. He, too, continued to gracefully study the man across from him. He quickly noticed that the water droplets had already evaporated from the man's body due to the warmth that filled the room from the fireplace. Clean and graceful skin without any obvious flaws or rough scars. Few could boast such from their profession. Either he was a newcomer who hadn't had a chance to collect wounds, or he was indeed an exceptional marksman. The Colonel leaned toward the latter. Brown eyes returned to the face. Now, without clothing and with wet hair, Douglas couldn't believe that Manco was even thirty. Delicate facial features, a strong jawline, light stubble, and only the wrinkles by his eyes from squinting gave away seriousness and some maturity. A professional habit — squinting, even indoors. The Colonel entertained the thought of wanting to know whether the man had blue or green eyes. In the dimly lit room, where the only sound was the crackling of burning logs, it was difficult to discern. Manco, kissed by the bright sun, was truly a handsome man.»

I NEED to talk about this part from #176: City of Shadows
This isn’t exactly a spoiler but it is a reveal so I'm spoilercutting it
Monte took two jolts, not one, while his own gun was still coming up. The roar of The Shadow's fire had a prolonged effect, for it was accompanied by the burst of another gun, from the fire tower. All during Monte's creep, the crook had been covered by a steady marksman previously posted by The Shadow!
Ah, cool! None of the agents have been named yet, so if he doesn't say who it was I'm gonna assume it was Cliff--
Descending the fire tower, The Shadow was getting a report from his companion, an agent named Burbank. The Shadow added congratulations, as Burbank left him to join the other agents, waiting in their car. Regularly, Burbank played a passive part in The Shadow's campaigns.
[...]The Shadow assigned Burbank an unusual duty, which the contact man bandied in his customary methodical style. It ws Burbank who had supplied that pinch shot from the fire tower, timed exactly to The Shadow's own thrust at Monte.
