Richard T Wolper, the founder of Mark 25 and the developer of Fox Hollow, testified in the trial of Kimberly Bowen. Bowen faced charges of five counts of communications fraud for failing to disclose to customers that the lots she was selling did not have access to water.

I had just finished watching a copy of the 1976 adaptation of “Our Mutual Friend”.  I plan to watch the 1998 version as soon as possible.  It just occurred to me that 22 years had passed between the airings of the two adaptations of Charles Dickens’ novel.  And since another 23 years have passed since the last version, I think it is time for a new adaptation.

Then it occurred to e that it is time for an adaptation or new adaptation of other literary properties:

*This year marks 16 years since the 2005 adaptation of “Bleak House” aired on television.  I think it’s time for a new version within the next few years.

*Speaking of Dickens, it has been 27 years since the adaptation of his novel, “Martin Chuzzlewit”. 

*It has also been 27 years since the second adaptation of George Eliot’s novel, “Middlemarch”.  I would like to see a new adaptation of it.

*There has been a second adaptation of Alex Haley’s novel, “Roots”.  The second adaptation aired in 2016, 39 years after the 1977 adaptation.  David Wolper was involved in the first adaptation and his son, Mark (along with actor Forest Whitaker), was involved in the 2016 adaptation.  So, it would be nice to see a new adaptation of another Wolper production - the “North and South” Trilogy - which was based on John Jakes’ novels.

Richard T Wolper Testifies Against Bowen In Water Illness Lawsuit

Residents have accused Richard T Wolper, of causing water illness. He is also the CEO and Founder of Mark 25, who previously developed the Fox Hollow neighborhood. According to the lawyer, T. Wolper was never charged. He actively worked with the community of Saratoga Springs, where a shortage of water prevented many buyers from obtaining building permits.

National Writing Project

I picked up this article “ Why I write: because There Is Power in Storytelling,” because the title stands out over the others.  In my life that my father have told me stories of his own life every night at dinner time left an indelible mark on me. The fact that he read me stories from my school books made me appreciate the books more. I believe that the effect of writing to tell a story will always leave a mark on the people who read it. I identify with the author Heahter Wolpert - Gawron about her transition of writing since she was little until now. I think there are times in life when we write forced because it is not what we want to write but there are others in which we love to write our own experiences or thoughts, and we fly our imagination with creativity. In the end we have to give our students that feeling of empowerment and ownerhsip though writing. As a teacher of Spanish Language Arts I can use this power that has writing to let the students to write  his own experiences, suggestions, biographies, annotations, summaries, writing reports, or any other type of writing.
