Story 1 shows more promise, just because. Even if I'm tied writing my own fic, I wanna see how it plays out.
Lila, Chloe and Marinette friendship fanfic
Okay so…
I saw this Instagram post right and it was all like bro Chloe, Marinette and Lila friendship 🤩
https://www.instagram.com/reel/CWfsJXoAWxz/?utm_medium=copy_link
(Just look at the comments my guy)
And I agree
So I want to write a fic on it
Here’s my two ideas(they will both become fics eventually)
Brief Summaries
Story 1:
Chloe gets Marinette a show at New York Fashion Week through Style Queen. They meet Lila there as the newest up and coming teenage model in America. Audrey suggests they work together to launch the MDC brand (with style queen sponsorship) they all become really close friends and then Chloe and Marinette move to New York so Chloe can be closer with her Mother and Marinette’s Brand can develop. Lila, Chloe and Marinette attend the same school and their life is good.
Story 2:
Chloe and Lila meet at a government Christmas gala (since their parents are both politicians) Marinette’s parents are supplying food for the event and the three girls meet on the rooftop of the Le Grande Paris Hotel and instantly bond spending the entire holidays together before starting school. Lila is constantly moving around but they have a commitment to spend every holidays with each other. Eventually Lila is able to stay with Marinette’s family and join them in their first year at a new school. They heard that the students were spoiled and self entitled so they plotted to ruin them. (Cue show story) It ended with the students being caught in their lies and proving that they were cheating.
Both ideas need a bit of work but they’re the rough summaries and I have started writing them
See you soon guys x

Miraculous: Magical Connections Relationships
So unlike in canon, in this version Marinette actually has friends BEFORE the events of the story and doesn't just befriend her class and gives them all powerful jewels
More than half the main cast isn't a part of Marinette/Adrien's homeroom class, in fact they aren't even in the same class, so everyone becoming friends (and subsequently heroes) isn't as easy as it was in canon
So instead of becoming friends by being classmates, everyone is connected to someone else in one way or another (everyone's either friends, related, or a couple)
The couples canon to the story before Origins are Max/Kim, Mylène/Ivan, and Juleka/Rose
A few more ships will become canon throughout the story but the only one's I'll mention now are Alya/Nino and Marc/Nathaniel (as both are canon and hence don't change)
Marc, Socqueline, and Marinette are all cousin's, all of their mom's are sisters
Just like in canon, Félix and Adrien are cousins
Also something never really mention in canon is that Ivan has a little sister?? So she's also here
And the other canon siblings are still around so if you like Chris, Ella, Etta, or Jalil don't worry, I didn't forget them
Chloé has... actually that's a spoiler so no info on Chloé's family tree for now (:
Other than that, everyone else is connected via some kind of friendship, with the only one I'll mention now is that Félix and Luka are (kinda) friends
If you have any questions about my rewrite, please ask, I'll try to answer all of them to the best of my ability! <3

Zoé renounces Pollen and returns the Bee Miraculous to Marinette because she knows she and Chloé are in love with each other:
Zoé: "Pollen, I renounce you."
Marinette: (Gasp) "But Zoé,"
Zoé: "I know you and Chloé have feelings for each other and her being Queen Bee was her only way for you both to have a relationship, and if it makes you both happy, then I'm happy."
Marinette: "But what about,"
Zoé: "I'll be fine, Marinette. I'll get over my crush on you and move on. I just want my sister and beloved to be happy; and if retiring as Vesperia is the way to do it, then so be it."
(Marinette thinks for a minute, but then remembers how much Chloé means the world to her. She then smiles and hugs Zoé.)
Marinette: "Thank you so much for your honesty, Zoé. Chloé will be happy to know that her own sister gave up being a hero for her own happiness."
Zoé: "Just make sure I'm the second Maid of Honor at the wedding, will you?"
Marinette: (chuckles) "Will do Zoé, will do."

Finding Home in the Shadows
Chapter 4 - Illuminating the Shadows
The morning sunlight streamed through the windows of the elegant dining room, enveloping the Graham de Vanily manor in a warm glow. Marinette, Felix, and Chloe, the young heirs of the manor, gathered around the table, clad in their school uniforms, brimming with anticipation for their first day at Gotham Academy.
Amelie, their loving and supportive mother, joined them, radiating maternal pride. Her eyes sparkled with a mixture of excitement and nostalgia as she observed her children preparing for the day ahead. With a gentle smile, she kissed each of them on the cheek, offering words of encouragement.
"Darlings, I have no doubt that today will be a marvelous day at school," Amelie said, her voice filled with warmth and affection. "Embrace this new chapter with open hearts and open minds. May your experiences at Gotham Academy be enriching, enlightening, and filled with joyful moments."
Percival, the loyal family butler, ensured that everything was in order for their departure. He stood by the entrance, ready to drive them to school in one of the sleek black cars reserved for the family. Amelie, in her own stylish black convertible, prepared to embark on her own endeavors for the day.
With backpacks slung over their shoulders, Marinette, Felix, and Chloe bid Amelie farewell and followed Percival to the waiting car. As they settled into the comfortable seats, the excitement in the air was palpable. The engine purred to life, and they set off on their journey to Gotham Academy.
The drive through the city streets buzzed with anticipation and curiosity. Marinette gazed out of the window, taking in the sights and sounds of bustling Gotham City. Felix, always the intellectual, delved into a book, immersing himself in its pages. Chloe, with her entrepreneurial spirit, brainstormed ideas for future business ventures.
Upon arriving at the prestigious Gotham Academy, they were greeted by the grandeur of the campus. Towering buildings stood as testaments to knowledge and heritage, while manicured lawns and vibrant gardens provided a picturesque backdrop for their educational journey.
Stepping out of the car, the trio felt a mix of nervousness and excitement. They bid farewell to Percival, expressing their gratitude for his unwavering support, and made their way toward the entrance of the school.
Inside, the hallways hummed with energy as students hurried to their classes. Marinette, Felix, and Chloe weaved through the corridors, following the signs that guided them to their classroom. Destiny had aligned for the Graham De Vanily trio, as they discovered they would all be in the same class, adding an extra layer of anticipation to their first day.
The morning sun bathed the hallways of Gotham Academy as Marinette, Felix, and Chloe made their way to their first class of the day: A.P. English Literature. Excitement bubbled within them as they entered the classroom, eager to embark on a journey through the world of literature and unravel the depths of storytelling.
Mr. Barnes, a charismatic and highly regarded teacher, greeted the students with a warm smile. His infectious passion for literature instantly captivated the class, setting the stage for an engaging and enlightening semester. He introduced himself, sharing his deep love for the written word, igniting a spark of curiosity in each student.
Finding seats near the front, Marinette, Felix, and Chloe listened intently as Mr. Barnes delved into the course outline. Their eyes filled with anticipation as they discovered the syllabus, which offered a diverse range of literary works, from classic novels to contemporary poetry.
Marinette eagerly anticipated the chapter on Shakespearean plays, where they would analyze the symbolism and intricacies of his narratives. She couldn't wait to delve into these masterpieces and unravel the layers of meaning hidden within their pages.
Seated beside Marinette, Felix shared her enthusiasm. Having inherited his love of literature from his father, who maintained an impressive library, Felix had delved into countless books over the years. He was thrilled to see that they would be exploring Greek tragedies, one of his favorite subgenres. He yearned to dissect the texts, decipher their hidden messages, and engage in lively discussions with his classmates.
Chloe admired Mr. Barnes' eloquence as he eloquently discussed the impact of literature on society and the transformative nature of storytelling. She was eager to explore the diverse perspectives and interpretations that literature offered, ready to broaden her understanding of the human experience.
Throughout the class, Mr. Barnes encouraged active participation, fostering an environment where ideas flowed freely and curiosity thrived. He challenged the students to think critically, articulate their thoughts eloquently, and embrace the beauty of literature's ability to evoke emotions and spark meaningful conversations.
As the trio stepped out of the classroom, they felt a renewed sense of purpose and a deeper appreciation for the power of words. They couldn't wait to immerse themselves in the assigned readings, engage in vibrant class discussions, and challenge themselves to see the world through the lens of different authors.
After an invigorating session in A.P. English Literature, Marinette, Felix, and Chloe eagerly made their way to their next class of the day: Pre-Calculus with Mr. Adams. The classroom buzzed with anticipation as they settled into their seats, ready to embark on a mathematical journey.
Mr. Adams, a knowledgeable and enthusiastic teacher, greeted the class with a warm and friendly smile. His approachable demeanor instantly put the students at ease, creating a welcoming atmosphere. As he introduced himself, Marinette couldn't help but notice his genuine passion for mathematics shining through his words, sparking her curiosity.
The class began with a concise review of foundational concepts, ensuring that everyone was on the same page. Mr. Adams skillfully explained complex equations and formulas, breaking them down into manageable parts and making them more approachable. He encouraged questions and embraced the idea that mistakes were valuable learning opportunities.
Marinette, a meticulous learner, eagerly absorbed the knowledge being shared. She diligently took notes, her pencil gliding across the paper as she captured each key concept. Mr. Adams' teaching style made the subject engaging and exciting, allowing her to develop a newfound appreciation for the elegance of numbers.
Seated beside Marinette, Felix's eyes gleamed with enthusiasm. As Mr. Adams delved into the intricacies of calculus and its practical applications, Felix's mind lit up like a mathematical puzzle. He recognized patterns and connections, relishing the opportunity to apply mathematical reasoning to real-world scenarios. Mr. Adams noticed Felix's passion and nurtured it, challenging him with additional problems and encouraging him to explore advanced concepts.
A few seats away, Chloe absorbed the lessons with unwavering determination. She had always excelled in mathematical problem-solving, and Pre-Calculus provided an opportunity to push her abilities further. Chloe actively participated in class discussions, offering alternative approaches and sharing her insights. Mr. Adams commended her for her analytical thinking and encouraged her to take on leadership roles within the class.
Throughout the session, Mr. Adams fostered a collaborative learning environment, urging students to work together on challenging problems. Marinette, Felix, and Chloe found themselves forming study groups and engaging in lively discussions, supporting one another's understanding of the material. The class became a space where questions were welcomed, and the pursuit of mathematical knowledge felt like an exciting adventure.
As the bell rang, signaling the end of Pre-Calculus, Marinette, Felix, and Chloe felt a profound sense of accomplishment. The class had not only deepened their mathematical skills but had also nurtured a genuine love for logical thinking and problem-solving. They exchanged smiles, acknowledging the bond they had formed over their shared enthusiasm for the subject.
With hearts brimming with intellectual curiosity and a thirst for knowledge, Marinette, Felix, and Chloe eagerly made their way to their next classes, ready to continue their educational journey at Gotham Academy. Their minds still buzzing with the mathematical intricacies of Pre-Calculus, they now headed to their next class—A.P. U.S. History with Ms. Lee. As they entered the classroom, their eyes were greeted by maps, historical artifacts, and posters showcasing significant events from America's past.
Ms. Lee, a passionate historian with a wealth of knowledge, stood at the front of the class. Her warm smile and welcoming demeanor instantly put the students at ease as they settled into their seats. She commenced the class by setting the stage for their historical journey, sharing captivating anecdotes and intriguing facts that immediately captured their attention.
As the lesson unfolded, Ms. Lee skillfully guided the class through the intricacies of America's history. She emphasized the importance of understanding the context, motivations, and consequences of key historical events. With her vivid storytelling and thought-provoking discussions, she painted a comprehensive picture of the nation's past, bringing history to life within the classroom.
Marinette, always captivated by stories and narratives, found herself utterly enthralled by Ms. Lee's engaging teaching style. She deeply connected with the stories of individuals who had shaped history, empathizing with their struggles and celebrating their triumphs. Marinette's hand flew across her notebook, meticulously jotting down key dates, names, and significant events. She couldn't help but develop a profound appreciation for the complexities and intricacies woven into the tapestry of the nation's past.
Felix, with his keen interest in architecture and art, found himself irresistibly drawn to the visual representations of historical periods. As Ms. Lee discussed the impact of different eras on the country's cultural landscape, Felix's eyes sparkled with curiosity. He eagerly absorbed the visual cues and historical artifacts, seeking to understand the connections between art, architecture, and the historical context in which they were created.
Chloe, renowned for her analytical mind, approached the study of history with a keen focus on cause and effect. She thrived in class discussions, skillfully dissecting the chain of events that had led to pivotal moments in American history. Ms. Lee recognized Chloe's analytical prowess and consistently encouraged her to engage in debates, challenging her to consider multiple perspectives and develop a nuanced understanding of historical narratives.
Throughout the class, Ms. Lee fostered an inclusive environment where every voice was valued. She not only encouraged active participation but also facilitated respectful dialogue, allowing students to share their interpretations and challenge conventional wisdom. Marinette, Felix, and Chloe found themselves immersed in lively debates, exchanging viewpoints, and broadening their perspectives through the diverse experiences and insights of their classmates.
As the class drew to a close, Marinette, Felix, and Chloe felt a profound sense of appreciation for the complexity and significance of U.S. history. They had gained a newfound understanding of the nation's struggles, progress, and ongoing quest for equality and justice. Walking out of the classroom, they couldn't help but feel a renewed sense of responsibility to learn from the lessons of the past and actively contribute to shaping a better future for themselves and their society.
After an enriching session of A.P. U.S. History, Marinette, Felix, and Chloe eagerly made their way to their final class of the day—Chemistry with Dr. Rodriguez. The chemistry lab hummed with anticipation as students prepared for an interactive and hands-on learning experience.
Dr. Rodriguez, a brilliant and enthusiastic chemist, greeted the students with a warm smile. Her passion for the subject was palpable as she shared captivating stories and examples. The lab was filled with cutting-edge equipment, vibrant chemical compounds, and a myriad of experiments ready to be explored.

Alya/Chloe friendship potential AND Alya being a G? SIGN ME TF UP!!
Hear me out. Miracle Queen happens as canon, of course Alya is upset about not being able to be Rena anymore and goes home. After calling home she realizes that her mom isn't home yet, and goes to the hotel to check on her. This culminates in Chloe eavesdropping about Chloe ranting and learning a very scuffed version of events. Her main take-away is Hawkmoth was essentially stalking her. Of course Chloe snapped, if Hawkmoth was stalking her she'd be stressed out too! She wants the full story, Ladybug was cagey about anything Queen Bee. It'll be impossible to get anything that isn't tainted by the recent events. She makes herself known, asking Chloe for her side of the story.

You know, I think for someone who is meant to be Adrien's childhood friend, Chloe doesn't seem to know him all that well. What's up with that?
Straight up, until Origins dropped, I thought he was just her classmate that she'd staked a claim on and he was just too nice to tell her off. I mean, she describes him to Ladybug as the "hot guy in her class that's totally into her" in "Dark Cupid", and she introduced herself to his dad as if they'd never met before in "Mr. Pigeon". That does not scream "Childhood Friend" to me.
I think that's why when they started to lean into it in Season 2, I just didn't care. Because they didn't set it up before hand; if anything, they UN-set it up before hand. Origins is, like, the only point in all of Season 1 that even alludes to them being friends before the start of the show, and even THAT backtracks because Adrien claims to Marinette's face that he's never had friends before! And Chloe tells her mom that besides Sabrina, she ALSO doesn't have friends in "Queen Wasp"!
It's a near impossible sell by the time they try to sell it. It would be better imo if Chloe was just another classmate who happened to be into Adrien for his status, fame, and looks. I'd look kinder at Adrien because then there wouldn't be this lingering feeling that if anyone should be taking responsibility for helping Chloe, it should be him, her childhood friend, especially as he's the one going around telling people not to be too mean to her. Just drop the friend angle and suddenly him not trying for her doesn't make him look like a bad friend and sanctimonious hypocrite who expects more out of others than he does from himself. It makes more sense that he's not getting involved, and he can still be perturbed by his classmate's over-the-top celebration of her departure if they still want someone to be a downer. (I think Bustier would fit the role better though).
But this is Miraculous Ladybug, where "friendship" can refer to anyone from Besties to Passing Acquaintances. There are no in betweens, a childhood friend is just as important, or not important, as a new classmate you have nothing in common with when it comes to this show. We, the audience, who know that certain relationships just have more history and importance than others, so we're the ones putting importance on the title "Childhood Friend".
But that importance just...doesn't exist here. Well. Until the writer's decide it suddenly does.

(Stammering Adrien AU) Marinette has a bad dream about Chloé taking over as Queen Mayor, and the latter reassuring her.
Marinette: I didn’t want to believe it, but it all felt so real, like I was watching another timeline or alternate universe. You were acting so terribly, and it just… *sighs* It brought back a lot of bad memories.
Chloe: Marinette, I wouldn’t do any of that… Well, not in this universe. You know I wouldn’t.
Marinette: I know, Chloe. I know I can trust you, and I know it was just a dream. But it was still so… I… I need to get my mind off it.
Chloe: Right… Maybe I should give you a little space while you…
Marinette: No! Please! Stay!
Chloe: *blushing* E-Excusez-moi?
Marinette: I… I need you here. You being here, being kind, it reminds me that you’ve changed, that we’re friends… I need that right now.
Chloe: Aww, Marikins… *hugs her* You’ve got it then. As much as you want.
Marinette: *hugs her back and smiles* I never thought a friendship between us would mean so much to me. I love you, Chloe.
Chloe: I love you too, Mari. Friends for life?
Marinette: Friends for life.

A new friend…?
ChocoAU relationship info below!!
This is for @comedic-slut because of your ask and I said I WOULD make a post about it so HERE U GO!! 🥹🫶 THIS ONES FOR YOU BB /p
Adrien as we all know was raised completely isolated. He didn’t know anyone else at school except Chloe, who introduced him to her friends, and one of them wasn’t Nino ahasjhdhd. So he was kind of trapped in this social bubble, despite really wanting to branch out and make more friends, like he had initially hoped. Chloe wouldn’t let him talk to anyone else either (warning him that they were “losers”).
Nino was Alya’s childhood best friend, so they hung out all the time. It was always just, him and Alya and then Marinette. He didn’t want or feel the need to even try to talk to Adrien, since he was cousins with the girl who bullied Marinette and Kim kind of bullied him as well, so The Empire was the group to stay away from. He also was friends with Ivan and Max (they played video games sometimes), so Adrien was just. Never an option for him.
The only reason why he went to even talk to Adrien was because after Chloe and Adrien had a mysterious fight that caused Adrien to be essentially “kicked out” of their friend group, Alya wanted to know why for the drama. The class talked to Kim first, but he said only Sabrina knew, and everyone was aware she would never spill. So, they sent in Nino as the sacrifice to ask Adrien and find out.
Nino invited Adrien out to eat pizza for lunch (since Adrien always went off-campus to eat after the fight), and they got to know each other. Adrien really liked Nino’s bluntness, and he felt like Nino treated him like any other person. But since he had ulterior motives, Nino felt bad for only hanging out with Adrien for information on his personal life. So after the hangout, Nino tells Alya what she wants to know, but still decides to eat out with Adrien, even though Alya points out he can’t afford to do it.
Chloe, still hurt from their fight, finds out about Adrien potentially making a new friend. So, acting in anger and selfishness, she commands her driver to over Nino’s bike. His bike was his only ride to school and to do his job as a delivery boy. (He’s attending the school on a scholarship, so his parents aren’t as wealthy as most of his friends.) Nino immediately stopped talking to Adrien after that, and Adrien got pissed that Chloe would do something like that to scare away his first friend.
Adrien stands up for Nino, he argues/talks with Chloe about her emotions, and she ends up buying him a moped as an apology!
Afterwards, they continue to hang out and develop their friendship!! :D

The Miraculous Movie was different than the series…and that’s okay!
I watched the movie this morning and loved it! I think it’s important to talk about the changes that were made and what impact they had.
How the characters were rewritten
There definitely was a difference in how the characters were written in the movie, and some of the redevelopment of characters was really good!
Gabriel was by far the one who had the best redevelopment of his personality. Gabriel in the series is awful, as we all know.
In the series, he barely gives a shit about his own son, like there is absolutely nothing redeemable about his character. In every “what if” episode and the season 5 finale, Gabriel does not show any regret to hurting people, including his own son.
However, in the movie, Gabriel actually makes a better attempt to communicate with Adrien and, most importantly, feels strong regret when he hurt his son. He cries; he feels remorse for destroying Paris and injuring Adrien in the process. He hugs Adrien (along with the spirit of Emilie 🥹) and decides to stop being Hawk Moth. It was beautifully done. He got a redemption arc that he never got in the series. I know I personally felt so good watching that and seeing the relationship between him and Adrien being repaired.
Marinette was her usual clumsy self, but was written as having no friends at school because she embarrasses herself so much. In a way, it makes more sense than her being so popular like she is in the series. Kids in high school can be pretty judgy and ruthless. So it makes sense for the “clumsy girl” to be made fun of and judged by people who don’t know her well.
Adrien was different in a lot of ways. He wasn’t shown running to school to gain freedom. He wasn’t introduced as being a super model who’s friends with Chloe. Instead, he’s already going to the school, he’s already friends with Nino, and he happens to run into Marinette at the library. He doesn’t have that same chemistry with Marinette as he does in the series which is a bit odd that they took that away, but it does make sense that he’d turn her down when she asked him to the ball, since he loves Ladybug. In the movie, he very clearly sees Marinette as just a friend and it’s shown that he’s building a friendship with her without him developing a crush. It’s different but still wholesome, especially when he shows her the old family photo to her. Plus, it evens it out well since Ladybug obviously turns Cat Noir away but they’re still building up their bond, too. They both get turned down.
It was ehhh that Adrien was a bit too cocky at times as Cat Noir, but overall, his goofiness and self confidence is still pretty on brand for him. He was still very encouraging towards Ladybug but not overly flirtatious, pushing her to her limits. Instead, it was them lightly teasing each other and then playfully fighting. And, speaking of the playful fighting, their bond was stronger in the movie seeing as how they were shown spending more time together off duty and that they were treated as equals.
In the show, Cat Noir is automatically made sidekick and left in the dark about everything. But in the movie, he gets to meet Master Fu in disguise alongside Ladybug. Sure, he didn’t help Master Fu with his cane like he did in the series, but that didn’t matter since the lore was changed.
Alya was less annoying in the movie. Sorry. Don’t get me wrong, I love Alya in the series, but she’s so over the top at times with how obsessed she is over the heroes, blogging, and filming things for her blog. In the movie, she was toned down a lot and I liked that. It was also cute that Nino had a crush on her and just her, not Marinette first. Unlike the series, he wasn’t on that pipeline of guys who fell for Marinette since that pipeline doesn’t exist in the movie.
Tom was made out to be an embarrassment for Marinette which is honestly more realistic for a teenager. Most teenagers get pretty embarrassed by their parents, especially when they still treat them very childlike. And, I like that he went out to the fair to look for her since he heard there was danger. Marinette’s parents don’t usually go out to look for her or make sure she’s in her room when there’s danger afoot. So, I appreciate that they made Tom do that since he obviously loves Marinette a lot.
The rewriting of (some of) the lore
As I had mentioned in my previous section, the lore was rewritten, too. Instead of Master Fu being the one to pick Marinette and Adrien simply because they helped him, the kwamis sense that Marinette and Adrien are the right people to be Ladybug and Cat Noir. That was a much better way to write that, in my opinion.
Hawk Moth got ahold of the butterfly miraculous by mistake. That part wasn’t changed but also, it didn’t need to be.
The change of plot
The plot was very simple. It didn’t have a whole lot of crazy, in depth details like the show’s does. So, anyone who has never watched the show can easily understand and absorb what’s going on (I will be forcing my boyfriend to watch it with me since he’s never seen the show lol).
I like that it was very clear cut and easy to understand while still being intense and meaningful. It still summarizes a lot of what the series entails while fixing some issues in the plot development.
They didn’t doddle with Hawk Moth like they do in the show. He was a successful villain in his second attempt but then realized he should stop when he hurt his own son in the process.
Also, there was a reveal. It was a wee bit underwhelming, but I still think it was done well! It was a moment with just Marinette and Adrien alone, as it should be. And, it was cutesy and heartfelt. The fact that Marinette dressed like Ladybug for the ball (cutest dress ever imo) and Adrien dressed like Cat Noir was so cute. That’s what a lot of the fandom has been asking for and written about in fanfics, I feel like.
The romance between these two is most important. They didn’t need Kagami and Luka as 2nd love interests to throw things off track. Yes, I like these characters in the show, but they weren’t needed in the plot.
The music
I love musicals. I was a bit of a theater kid in high school, plus I’m obsessed with music lol. So, yes, I’m a bit biased when I say I love that they made this a musical.
I personally loved the music. I can tell a lot of good effort was put into it and I’ve already been listening to the songs on my Spotify. The song between Ladybug and Cat Noir in the theater “Now I See” and Cat Noir jumping on the clouds (literally, on cloud nine) singing “My Lady” was absolutely adorable and super romantic, which, as we know, is a big part of the show.
Even Gabriel’s song “Chaos Will Reign Today” was amazing! It conveyed a lot of emotion and turns into one of those dramatic villain songs. Keith Silverstein is clearly talented enough to sing for his own character and he did it well.
My only nitpick is that Marinette’s singer, Lou, has a very different voice than Christina Vee. So, Marinette sounds very different, much more mature-sounding when she sings and it kinda catches you off guard. I’m surprised they didn’t have Christina sing for her, but there must’ve been a reason why she didn’t. But, SQVARE sounded similar enough to Bryce Papenbrook when he sung for Cat Noir which i absolutely love.
Conclusion
I personally give this movie a 10/10 just because it made me smile the whole time, and it’s such a feel good movie. I’ll happily watch it again and listen to the soundtrack, especially on a day when I’m feeling down. It wasn’t perfect in every aspect, but it was perfect in a simple, heartwarming sense and that it can be watched by everyone, not only people who watch the series.
I understand if it made you cringe or you were moreso looking for a continuation of the series not a retelling. But, I prefer some simplicity which is a big part of what made me like it. Like I said, I know it wasn’t absolute perfection, but it was so frickin adorable and I can’t help but smile.
There’s a lot of differences but also plenty of similarities between the movie and the show. But understand they’re not meant to be the same and that’s okay! I don’t think the movie was horrible for most of the changes it made. In fact, I think most of them made sense and made it a bit more realistic (as I explained).
