It’s fitting, then, that the antagonists of the series embody the desire for death. The only way to defeat the human tendency towards self-destruction is not only to have courage, but to believe that courage will be enough carry you through— and in doing so, giving it the power to do just that.

Like you can feel him standing behind you, his body pressed up against yours as he shows you how to like… chop onions properly or something. His hand is on top of yours, guiding you as you’re using the knife. Him whispering in your ear that you’re doing a good job in that gorgeous accent of his.

It's so weird to me that there are people who say Boromir doesn't care, because to me it feels like caring about others is the core of his entire character?

Like the Ring is able to tempt him so easily, not because he wants power for himself, but because he wants to protect his people.

He spends all of Fellowship watching out for Merry and Pippin, which eventually leads to him literally dying to protect them — and while he's laying on the forest floor dying the first thing he cares about is the fact that they've been taken.

You can see him trying to comfort Gimli in Moria, and after Gandalf's fall. Faramir's flashback in Two Towers shows Boromir looking out for him and standing up to their father.

This man cares so much that it literally leads to his downfall.

It’s happening! I am finally starting a new island in ACNH, and if the name wasn’t any indication (not only is Pottsfield an OTGW reference but is derived from “potter’s field” where the dead are buried anonymously), it’s gonna be spooky themed! I even got lucky with one of my first villagers who I was hoping for this island (oh yeah, Cherry’s staying for sure).

I’m starting by placing buildings on the beaches, which will get relocated during terraforming once that’s unlocked. Anyway, I’m looking forward to eventually streaming my progress (I am currently on the 4th in-game day) once I get a new gaming PC set up. It may take some time to get everything just right; the capture card, OBS, the microphone, and everything working properly, however. But I’m determined to finally do it. I have waited far too long, spending these 4 years working on Inkwell, drawing frequently to please the IG algorithm, starting and fixating on a cooking blog in 2022, and having my 2023 occupied with Splatoon 3 and Pokémon. I’m locking in, but I hope to balance this with art and other games, of course.

I’m tired of saying things but not delivering. Finally, that is beginning to change.

I’m posting this here because this is currently where my active followers are. Idk if anyone here would be interested in me attempting to do gaming streams or anything, but I thought I’d try.
