Margeurite Baker Headcanons

Marguerite was born in Monroe, Louisiana and raised largely by her stepmother, who had several other children also living under her roof. A latchkey kid, she’s been cooking her entire life, and has an assortment of faded nicks and old burns on her hands from doing so. She was a waitress - chef with a waitress’ salary, more like - for seventeen years.

Marguerite’s an adamant forager. Mushrooms, spices, herbs, seeds, flowers, you name it; many of the meals she cooks are made of ingredients which come straight from the land.

Since the Baker house is so far out of the way, they never got many trick or treaters on Halloween, but Marguerite made sure to reward those who made the trek handsomely. Every year, she handed out at least a dozen gooey homemade delicacies.

On a much darker note: Jack found Eveline in the shipwreck two weeks before Halloween. Since the family’s disappearance had yet to be widely publicized when the holiday came, some local kids went to the Baker house as usual expecting the same treats that they had always gotten, and. Well. You can fill in the blanks.

Her maiden name is “Trahan.” It means “silk worker.” :3

She chewed her nails when she was nervous well into adulthood. Post-Eveline, this habit morphed into full blown ritual self mutilation; constantly exposed to the sensation of bugs crawling on, around and in her body, she developed an addict-like obsession with picking at her skin to expose the insects underneath, real or imaginary.

For most of Marguerite’s life, her favorite season was summer. Post-Eveline, it’s winter. No bugs :/

So, there have been some new leaks about the greatly anticipated RE8:

• Ethan Winters (from RE7) will be back as our protagonist.

• It will be in first person.

• Zombies will be returning.

• New Werewolf enemies.

• Will take place in a village and castle.

• A ghostly apperition will be following you around throughout the game.

• The name will not be Resident Evil 8.

• Chris Redfield will be in the game.

Remember, these are just leaks from unofficial sources, it’s not 100% true.

Everyone is complaining about Ethan being the protagonist again because his character was APPARENTLY ‘plain and boring’. I feel like I’m one of the few RE fans that actually liked and appreciated Ethan’s character. He was definitely not plain. Ethan was just a normal civilian that got mixed up in the events of RE7, he definitely dealt with the Bakers, Mia and Eveline very well for your average Joe. By the end of the game, Capcom left a strong impression that Ethan was also infected with the mold just like Mia and the Bakers. (that would explain why he was seeing hallucinations of Eveline at the very end of RE7) He also went through all of this to save his wife that nearly killed him! He clearly isn’t boring and actually is an aspiring and interesting character. I was so emerced in the story of RE7, so I hope that RE8 starts where the last game left off. There were so many things that were left unsaid; Hopefully we will learn a lot more about the amazing characters that were in RE7.

Another thing that everyone is protesting about is that the next installment to the franchise will be in first person again, which I don’t see a problem with, it makes it more scarier and it just seems more real; I personally loved first person. RE7 was a much needed reboot to the franchise and it was by far the best RE since RE4.

The original characters are getting older in age (Chris is already in his 50’s!) and I don’t think they can stick around forever. If we want this franchise to evolve then we’re going to need to start introducing new characters to the series and I believe that’s exactly what Capcom is doing. Don’t get me wrong, I love Jill, Claire, Chris, Leon, Wesker and the other ogs with all my heart and soul (especially Claire❤️) but we’re going to have to let them go, sooner or later and let them rest. I hope that they will still be an important part in the RE universe. (I’m sure that we will see them again in future games, so don’t worry😄)

One more thing, I would LOVE to see more of Mia Winters in RE8. I loved her character so much in RE7, she definitely has potential and I’d love to see what they do with her character in future games.

Right! That is all of my thoughts on the whole ordeal. What do you guys think? I know I’ll definitely be buying RE8, wether these leaks are true or not.

(Also, I’m very excited for RE3 Remake, RE2 was a masterpiece so I’m excited for what the RE3 Remake has in store for us all, hopefully they will remake the rest of the games as well! Fingers crossed!🤞🏻)

MOLD. a whole lot and I think its cool:> so basically how the mold in re8(?) is that it takes co trolls of host, spread through digestion via the bakers I THINK. and then also uuh that baby Is the stake for ethan and that he also gets hurt a SHIT TON.like. myguy. what the FUCK.

YEAH so the mold in 7 (and kinda 8 but 8 focuses more on the cadou parasite which. is made of mold. YKNOW) isnt all that explained but *personally* i think it spreads by bloodborne contact (ie ethans hand being cut off) OR by injesting it (the bakers feeding people rotted food and margeurite losing her shit when ethan doesnt eat it). BUT YEAH it takes control of the host BUT only after breaking down mental barriers via hallucinations. the whole point of the mold is to "turn enemies into allies".

in 7 the stakes are finding his wife mia, in 8 its finding his baby rose. SO CORRECT.

ethan gets hurt so often holy hell. i could make a whole post of how often ethan gets severely wounded in these games my god.

I’ll try and tell you as much as i can without rambling on too much! Also I’m not sure what you mean by discord since I’m not on any particular mp100 discord chat but i am on the amino which you should totally join

First, my main oc is Kayoko. She’s the first oc I ever made and is a clairvoyant who specilizes in manipulation over “randomized” chances. ex: choosing the right card from a deck, flipping a book open to the right page, get chosen from raffles etc… you could say she has incredible “luck”. She uses her power to … gamble a lot… She’s not exactly a stand up student by any means and is brutally honest to those around her. Bit of a delinquent as she is rather quick to anger and throw punches. But she is loyal to her friends at the very least.

She’s part of a board games club (named C.A.R.B.S) that includes 4 other people (…technically five but im going by my own canon route) that includes:Mausyo the president: a snobbish stuck up girl who is secretly just an anime nerd who acts like a shitty 90s anime villain Kenta, a well behaved and a slight doormat type whose half british and is terribly homesick. If he left the club, it would all collapse. Hibiki, Kayoko’s best friend who is an obnoxious loud brat that likes biting everything in sight. Constantly fighting something. And finally Rin… the… trainwreck. He’s a really embarrasing over the top wannabe “cool kid” who should have probably died five months ago by the amount of product he sticks on his face. 

I have a few other minor kid ocs that include Ben (one of the delinquents ritsu beat up in the alleyway who had a change of heart), Fleurette (my aoyama/Saison Margeurite hybrid rip-off), and  Ayama (Hibiki’s older goth sister who goes to Teru’s school).

Next come the adults!

I have two main adult ocs, Noriko and Yuudai. Noriko is a police woman living in seasoning city also with psychic powers. She specialises in barriers and defence. Think about it when Teru inverted his barrier when battling that fire guy. Now that that and expand upon it. She is.. not very good at her job and seems to always experience some sort of extreme emotion. She is ADAMANT about justice, chasing down even the most petty thief for miles and causing massive damage costs in the process… she is reckless to say in the least. Although she seems to cause more damage than good, the police force hasn’t fired her because she’s an excellent baker who brings in food for peoples birthdays and special occasions. She is protective over Kayoko and only wants the best for her, as well as all teens and children. She seems to always go easy on them ei: never throwing them into prison. The reason why? She claims kids just “don’t know what they’re doing”

Next is the asshole himself Yuudai. Now just imagine the most vile sleazy door to door salesmen who also works as an 80s car dealer on the side line, smoking lines of coke between “helping” customers and always feeling the need to express his lewd thoughts when around a woman even in the most slightly revealing outfit yet when he’s doing none of those he’s jerking it to a google image search of the word “boob” because he doesn’t understand how the internet works and when he doesn’t have internet access he’s accessing his collection of 20 year old playboy mags which are probably as crusty as his entire damn face because i don’t think this man even knows what public hygiene is. Also i should add his esper ability it the power to see into the past of a certain location. Ex: he goes into a room with a safe and in his mind he can “rewind” time to a point where he sees someone from a past event unlocking the safe, thus yuudai learns the combo. He cant interact with the past but for sure can see it so he uses this power to do sleazy detective work. 

also to everyone’s surprise (or… not-so-surprise depending) he has a young daughter named Junko (i gotta credit @starplatinyaa for co-making her cause shes a joint collab oc. also worth mentioning she also made the “5th” unmentioned member of C.A.R.B.S) whose..oddly enough considering her father, the complete opposite and quite a ray of sunshine?? She also LOVES insects and holds a deep curisoty for the world. also yuudai will never mention this but hes got a soft spot for her

Now onto some other minor adult ocs! heh.. this list is getting long so ill try and keep this short. For other adult ocs I got:

Sal: a creepy psychic lady living out in the forest by her lonesome. She has a morbid ability of soul manipulation ans seems to hate anybody getting near her… think of her as one of those weird slasher villains but with a heavier emphasis on backstory

Verin: a talented cynical mangaka who is fascinated by religion and mythology. He listens to epic power metal 24/7 and has a ton of nordic-themed tattoos all around him. He also finds espers to be ultra interesting and will pester one relentlessly with questions if he finds one. 

Gundma: a Claw member whose…a grandma with a gun. she takes no shit but also acts very kind to her division members.Furi: a 45 year old furry Claw member who.. well.. is a furry. He acts cat-like and can produce wolverine-esque claws with his psychic ability. Tsutoneru: she smokes weed… can control temperature… doesnt believe canada exists and also is a Claw member. 

Theres also a few ocs i have in the works currently, a group of three idol fans and the singer they love.

Resident Evil 7 Gets Its First DLC In ‘Banned Footage’

Good news! If you’ve been delighting in the disturbing, ‘soil your pants’ fun of Resident Evil 7, and really fancy going that little bit farther, Capcom has some more wonderful content in store for you.

It has been announced today that Biohazard will be receiving 3 DLC packs in the near future, the first of which is released today.

Banned Footage Volume 1.

Released 31st January for Xbox One / PS4 / PC

Bedroom: Margeurite Baker has you on bedrest lockdown. You must search the locked bedroom and plan your escape as soon as possible without arousing her suspicion. Be careful or things WON’T be pretty.

Nightmare: Use your wits to craft weapons and traps whilst you spend the night fighting for your life against waves of enemies.

Extra Mode: Ethan Must Die: One for those who like to do things the hard way. Seperate from the main campaign and not supported by PSVR

Banned Footage Volume 2.

Released 14th February for PS4 but 21st February for Xbox One / PC

21: Lucas Baker wants to play a game.. and it involves your limbs.

Daughters: Get a glimpse into the Baker Family’s past before the horrific events of Biohazard made them the way they are.

Extra Mode: If you fancy a bit of comedic relief - It’s Jack Bakers 55th Birthday and it’s your job to feed him as much food as you possibly can against the clock. This is a seperate game mode from the tapes and main campaign and is not supported by PSVR.
