Randomly came across your post for the Maplelea Percy Jackson AU about travel times, and wow Camp Half Blood needs a Canadian branch with times like that. Very impressive for them to make it. Did you ever share your ideas for the Maplelea girl’s godly parents? Couldn’t find the post if you did

I'm still working on it but here's my concepts so far:

Alexi – Hephaestus. like this isnt even a question

Brianne – Demeter, for her lil farm life <3

Jenna – She's our resident Big Three, a Poseidon kid. her marine biologist dad had a thing with him and now Jenna can control dolphins

Taryn – Apollo the art boi

Léonie – she is absolutely an Athena kid

Saila – she gives me Aphrodite vibes w/ her fashion design angle

Charlsea – see tHIS is the one tripping me up like. architect=athena or hephaestus but those are taken and she doesnt show the other traits of either so like what are we doing here?? iris??? hermes for travel??? hermes for travel could work ig

When Léonie is in the mood for coffee, she always chooses a classic Canadian favorite, Tim Horton’s! She and her friend visiting American friend, Geraldine, are also splitting a plate of Timbits, which are little donut holes. 

I made the red coffee cup by printing a logo onto construction paper. The Timbits are balls of clay glazed with white glue and cornstarch. Geraldine’s blended coffee is paint and silicone caulk. I also made the backdrop, table, and both chairs. The cute cermaic plate is a flea market find.

Sierra (in the middle) is an outgoing kid with lots of friends. All of my non-AG 18 inch modern dolls are part of her friend group! It’s neat to see this diverse group of girls all together.

From left to right: Fernanda (Karito Kids), Virginia (Götz), Léonie (Maplelea), Layla (City Girls), Sierra (American Girl Truly Me #55), Carina (Our Generation), Ellen (Faithful Friends), Cara (All About the Doll), and Zoe (Healthy Roots). 

This is excluding my two Magic Attic Club dolls since they’re 1990′s historical characters. And Léonie is a Sierra’s Canadian pen pal who doesn’t live locally, but does visit sometimes.

ok i’ve been working on a PJO AU for the Maplelea Girls and I just realized the absolute funniest part of this AU which is:

Camp Half Blood is in Long Island, NY, USA

The Maplelea Girls all live in fucking Canada

so I did some quick googling and found out this is the GENERAL DRIVING DISTANCE for each girl, ranked from shortest to longest:

Alexi Neele– living in Cabbagetown, Toronto, the drive to Long Island would be 8hr, 39min– the shortest length of the girls

Léonie Belanger-Leblanc– living in Quebec City, Quebec, her drive is about 8hr, 49min

Saila Qilavvaq– Saila was the hardest to determine, as she lives on an island. However, taking out of the equation the time it could take her to get to shore, however she does that, the closest she could get to shore is Ivujivik, Quebec. And because that is so far from many other cities, I also cannot get a driving distance from there, nor from Salluit, which is also generally close. The closest guess I can get is 10hr, 4min

Jenna McAllister– living in Lunenburg, Nova Scotia, Jenna has a 14hr, 12min drive to Long Island

Brianne Kovac– Brianne gets to be the first to expand to over a day, with her drive from Sandy Lake, Manitoba to NY being 28hrs

Taryn Brady– Taryn lives in Banff, Alberta, making her drive 39hrs long

and finally, our grand winner:

Charlsea Woodhouse– living all the way in Salt Spring Island, British Columbia, Charlsea gets a whoppin 47 mcfucking hours. that’s one hour short of two full days.

And also note, this does not take into account bathroom breaks, where exactly in the city these girls are and CHB is in Long Island, and, of course, breaks they may have to take to fight deadly monsters.

Maplelea girls Léonie and Taryn, long-distance friends, are so happy to be spending Halloween together! Léonie is telling her friend all about how Halloween is celebrated in Québec, and Taryn is showing off her spooky vampire costume.

It’s a Dolly Good Season Photo Challenge: Sweaters

Nobody rocks a sweater better than my Canadian girl, Léonie! Winter in Québec City is very cold, so she lives in sweaters for much of the year. The red sweater in the first picture is Maplelea brand, but the second picture is my reproduction of Maplelea’s Town and Country outfit (third photo). I stitched on the deer silhouette and embroidered the antlers. Léonie is posing here with her guitar because the beauty of winter, and everything associated with it, inspires her to write songs in praise of her homeland.
