Am I the only one that was so disappointed with Mirai Nikki/Future Diary?

It had such a good premise and I was hooked really quick but it had so much failed potential. The deaths of everyone at the end for example, Hinata, Mao, Akise, Kosaka, etc. They could have done much more with Akise. And the ending just left me kinda blanked out instead of satisfied.
