she would fucking lie if she said that she was not scared. having manepear behind her back, that's just fucking terrifying, the worst shit, making her remember how he killed her again and again. but she couldn't show her fear. she knew how it worked: heart rate, trembling, goosebumps, sweat. she was much safer as long as she could hide every sign of her stress.

– stay at the place, – manepear mumbles, holding her head with his deceptively soft paw. she answers, continuing their usual bickering, because she can't let silence exist for too long. sometimes she thinks about how she even got to this point, and her only actual answer is "i don't fucking know". mane's touches at her hair are really gentle, but she'd felt his claws on her skin too many times to let her guard down.

– how long are you going to be messing around? – kab asks lazily, tugging her head. she couldn't be too obedient; he'll figure out what's wrong. – it's a matter of a minute, really, what are you even doing?

– almost done, – manepear answers calmly, and something rough touches the back of her head.

feeling gets stronger: it touches the side, then forehead, and a harsh blindfold completely covers the view of her injured eye. mane winds the cloth down, back to the back of her head, and ties a strong, pressing knot of a non-standard shape.

the blindfold is completely opaque. this is the moment when she truly realizes that mane actually doesn't really see anything. it can be called a weakness, but is it really important when you are still better than everyone else?

– man, it's so fucking strange, – she comments, – not to see anything from one side. how do you even do that?

mane, again in front of her, shrugs his shoulders.

– dude, it's so easy. – he laughs, – i've trained my echolocation to perfection! i'll teach you too! – he scrubs the back of his head, – you still can see, though. just half of it. – he waves his hand, as if dismissing insignificance, – then it's just a piece of cake! you'll get it, kab. haven't you said you always liked snipers?

at a step, mane materializes a bow from his enderchest – unlike her own, black and curved, equipped compound. he hands it to her with a grin.

– shooters don't need a second eye anyway, – he says with a smile, – usually it just gets in the way of hitting the target.

the thing about the Present Manehare Team Up is that I keep thinking of that stream where—

Mane was just hanging out at spawn for ages, and playing around with Planet but keeping him safely behearted as necessary, Bacon flies to spawn and Kab follows nervously. When Zam wants to talk privately to Bacon, Mane leads her round spying on them for ten minutes. Then he goes "I am bored we should jump them" and she goes well I don't have a sword and Bacon is my teammate but we could jump Mapicc! (this is like two hours after Mapicc killed her) Mane is not redirected, he asks for her to get their coordinates, to tell them to go look under the Wemmbu statue. She whispers Bacon to run and Zam about the sign. (...like two hours after Zam tried to kill Clown)

and... Mane kills her for it.

From Zam's stream, I don't even know if Mane looked for Zam. Maybe he got the wrong statue and didn't check the other, but you know maybe he just saw Bacon leave and went looking for Kab. He finds her and Bacon and doesn't even try to kill Bacon, just goes straight for Kab while saying it's because she told him to run, like, evidently your priorities here were not killing either of Zam or Bacon?? (i don't get what he was doing here)

She did one half of what he wanted and he killed her for it.

So like that's the subtext I keep seeing, when he says he wants to eviscerate spawn and she says I liked your other idea about building above spawn, it's not like I care about spawn but originality's important to me—when he says they should reban everyone who got banned voluntarily and she says well I totally agree on Wemmbu but let me explain why Redd's thing was different—

May I interest the Lifesteal fandom in a Lifesteal polycule chart

At some point, I gave up on trying to fit everyone on Lifesteal into this chart, so this is the best you're going to get from me now.

I also gave up on only having someone once, which is why Branzy, Mane, and Mapicc all show up twice.

Some relationship I would have added if I had the room was Zam and Flame, Dean and Parrot, Boosfer and Minute, Pentar and Flame, and a lot more.

You can probably see where my struggle truly started. (It was Clown, fuck you jesterpenetrate).
