1)“www” is one of the japanese equivalents to “lol” but i wanted to differentiate it from tsumugi’s “(笑)” (also “lol”) so I chose to translate hers and leave Momo’s as is, since I use “www” a lot as is myself lol

2)Anyone who’s read idolish7 content by this point probably knows this, but just in case, the “straight man” (tsukkomi) and “funny man” (boke) act is a kind of japanese comedy duo where the boke says something silly or creates a misunderstanding and the tsukkomi corrects them

3) Momo refers to the shows you can record on your tv to watch later, idk if this is a thing much anymore in the west but i do believe it is still in japan.

4)Momo basically said that Yuki told him he's off-duty but the word he uses is apparently used in sports to convey a player that was not chosen to play in the team, momo is a sportsman after all~ www

I have become very attached quickly to my concept [linked here] that Gabriel’s Wish secretly included that his cataclysm wound was transferred to Sublime and she had to have her legs amputated as a result when she was very young, many years before the start of the show (as the kwami of reality, Gimmi can grant this Wish). Of course this Wish opens the opportunity for Gabriel to “come back to life” at a later date.

But that leaves a glaring question: who was sacrificed for Nathalie’s health? I’d like to think I’ve come up with a narratively sound fanfic premise for that.

Penny Rolling grew up in foster care, but was miraculously able to beat the odds and become the manager of rock king Jagged Stone. She is a strong, intelligent, independent woman. Only god knows why she fell in love with Jagged, but that’s her cross to carry.

Penny also has a sister. A sister who grew up with the same circumstances, and didn’t cope as well as Penny. This sister also has a young daughter, named Rythm. (Remember the little girl from Kuro Neko?) The father is out of the picture and unknown to all but Rythm’s mother. He doesn’t want to be a father, and his identity is irrelevant. Maybe he’s in jail. I don’t know and I don’t care. He’s not part of the story.

Penny’s sister is not a perfect mother by any stretch of the imagination, but she does her best. Penny has offered assistance, but it was met with much resistance. Unfortunately, also among Penny’s sister’s many issues, she has a mysterious illness unknown to science.

Nathalie’s broken Peacock Miraculous illness was transferred to Penny’s sister during Gabriel’s Wish, and she succumbs to the disease.

This can lead to a storyline where Penny gains custody of her niece. Back before we discovered Luka and Juleka were twins, it was theorized that Juleka had a different father from Luka. It would have opened up a “he’s not the step father, but the father who stepped up” heartwarming plotline with Jagged actually stepping up to be a father both to his son, and his ex’s younger daughter. Of course, Luka and Juleka are now known to be canonically twins, and this plot cannot happen.

But if Penny needs to learn how to be a mom to a grieving young girl who recently lost her mom, then the plotline can be recycled into something new and just as beautiful.

Penny is overwhelmed with the sudden passing of her sister, and subsequent guardianship of her traumatized niece. Jagged can step up and be a gold medalist step dad, and in the future, also adopts Rythm.

Jagged is not a perfect person, but supporting Penny and Rythm with their grief and new living situations can prove to Penny and the audience that people can change if they want to fight for it, and their relationship IS worth fighting for.

And you can’t tell me that Luka and Juleka wouldn’t love their new little sister unconditionally. And of course, Anarka loves her too, is on board with all of this and extremely supportive.

Of course there’s the elephant in the room: Rythm’s connection to black cats. Her episode is Kuro Neko, which is the episode Adrichat adopts a completely different, subservient persona as Cat Walker, Both the amokized object, the amokized piggy bank and the sentimonster itself is based off of a black Maneko-Neko (a Japanese beckoning or lucky cat), Rythm herself is wearing a cute black cat onesie, and the reason for the akumitization/amokization is because her beloved black cat ran away.

This all points to the obvious. Adrichat is part of the story, too.

It’s practically in text that Adrien was never able to properly grieve his mother, and while he helps Rythm navigate the grief process, is able to finally process his.

This story practically writes itself.
