I LOVE the idea of mom Shaak ti!
“Padawans”
Summary: Shaak Ti has found herself with the company of a new padawan, with the new feet you seem to meet some very nice clones
Pairing: The Kamino parents aka Colt and Shaak Ti x GN padawan reader
Warning: NOT PROF READ, but so so much fluff
Word count: 1528
Notes: I have had such a writing block recently and honestly that’s why there hasn’t been many updates! I apologize
The huge buildings were so daunting as the ship touched down with a thud, rain banged against all surfaces it would reach. The chorus of noises fell to the background as the ships door opened.
You were the only one that seemed to leave as you pulled your cloak around you tighter.
Chill winds nipped at any exposed skin while you traversed the slippery lading pad, the light died over the horizon line.
A figure stood etched out by the warms lights that flooded the facilities behind it. Other than the eerie appearance the silhouette only radiated a calming warm through the face.
A warmness you could use right now.
The torgruta was a lot taller than you expected. The sleek blue and white lekku reached far down her front as you came face to face for the first time with your new master.
Her eyes softened at your soggy appearance. “I’m master Shaak Ti, you must be my new padawan I’m assuming.”
She stepped to the side letting you in the dry building.
“I am.” You said with a renewed pep in your step following close to the side of your new master. “And I look forward to working with you.”
An arm draped around your shoulder and a gentle hand rub your arm trying to return some warmth back into your body.
A small smile traced your lips, your eyes returned excitedly up to your master.
With a chuckle returning your gaze she spoke. “And I with you, though I do wish these were easier times but there’s nothing we can do about it now.”
Growing deeper into the kaminoian facilities you watched as many clones passed, most seemed to be younger than the ones you’ve seen exiting the temple.
They all wore the same uniform and regulated haircut. Curious eyes stole glances as you continued to walk the halls. Every once in a while a simple wave was in order for the young clones, some gave timid waves back and others gave confused looks.
Master Ti’s cheeks warmed with the small gestures you gave to the younger clones. Her heart swelled slightly each time.
Some kaminoians stoped along the way either address master Ti with things you barely understood, or welcoming you to Kamino.
The kaminoians, despite their intentions spooked a young padawan like yourself.
Heavier boots echoed down the halls loudly approaching your position.
“Ah that must be Colt with a few cadets.” You didn’t have time to question Master Ti as a tall clone turned your way.
The daunting figure wore armor head to toe, a skull like pattern was painted on the helmet with the other colors being red and a pale blue.
This was the first clone you’ve properly seen and your back straightened at the sight of him.
The clones that followed behind, despite instruction, moved and tried to pear around one another too see the new person that was on their home planet.
When you see the same face everyday it’s good to something new.
“Commander Colt.” She said with a smile as the group stoped in front of you too. “I’d like to introduce you to my new padawan Y/N.”
You could feel the hard gaze of the Commander in front of you, with a sheepish smile you gave another small wave unsure of the formalities.
“Sir.” The clone nodded at you before he turned to the general. “You do know that your padawan is dripping all over the floor correct sir?”
A laugh rattled through the tall Torgruta, a hand landed on your shoulder. “We were just about to find a remedy for that Commander no need to worry.”
A few of the boys snickered at the exchange until the helmeted head shot around quickly making you smile slightly.
“Well sir if there’s time after I’m sure your jetti could show my boys a thing or too.” Colt looked between you and your master before you looked up at her yourself.
“If you want too my padawan you may.”
You pumped your fist into the air before saying. “I’d love to master.”
Master Ti wasn’t sold on the idea of a padawan on kamino learning from her but now she couldn’t figure out how she spent the days without the eyes on her.
“Until then Colt.” She nodded her head as her lekkus swayed.
“Goodbye Commander.” You bowed your head towards the clone the formality seemed right in this case.
His own arm raised from the stiff position at his side forming into a small wave of its own.
Weeks seemed to pass by in a flash, you followed Master Ti and learned many new skills from Colt along side a young upcoming group called the domino squad. They were definitely interesting to say the least.
It wasn’t until later into your time when your master instructed you too the mess hall, apparently there was someone you haven’t met yet and of course for a meal.
You scanned the room for anything that seemed out of the ordinary but only a few clones sat at the tables.
Your eyes focused on a figure slumped slightly over a far table in the corner. A broom and a bucket leaned against the wall. Two other clones seemed to be talking rather loud with the older one, until they spotted your quick pace over.
“Ah so you but be the new padawan.” The clone came into better view now. Wrinkles adorned his face and clearly he was much older than the others. He sighed was filled with relief as you stoped in front of him. “Would you like to sit down Y/N.”
“You know my name?” You asked taking the seat, the older clone seemed to relax slightly and leaned back against the wall along with his mop.
“Oh yes believe me I’ve heard much about you from the dominos.” He spoke with a slight laugh, his gravelly voice continued. “I’m 99.”
The old clone stuck a hand out which you hurriedly excepted with a smile.
“From what I hear you seem to be quite skilled with your training. I’m hoping you can teach those boys a few things.”
You laughed, it seemed like a grandpa talking about his rambunctious grandchildren with pride.
“They’re coming along-“ you started. “-gradually so.” This earned a laugh from 99.
The mess halls doors seemed to open wildly as younger groups of clones filtered in and many of the others off to other training.
The force felt lighter now with the rambunctious cadets and you could only smile. By the door a small group seemed to scan quickly before theirs eyes step on 99.
“Oh ho ho here they come.” Your attention turned back to the older clone with a smile on his face.
A group of 4 young looking clones bounded over. They couldn’t be much younger than you though from what you learned from your time on this planet was that that wasn’t the case.
They stoped wearily a few steps from the table, one with longer hair than what your use to seeing stepped foward slightly. “Made a new friend 99?” He asked cautiously.
“Boys this is Y/N, Master Ti’s padawan.” He gestured towards you.
One of the clones towards the back pushed foward, he seemed to be larger than the others but only had a goofy smile on his face.
“Woah your a Jedi?” He asked like a small child amazed.
You laughed before nodding slightly looking back towards 99. He pointed to each boy. “The one towards the front his Hunter, that’s Wrecker.” He pointed to the cadet right in front of you. “That’s Tech and Crosshair.”
One clone was lost in his datapad and the other seemed like he was trying to kill you with a glare. This group was an odd one before.
Lunch went better than most days. The cadets along with 99 seemed like perfect company for once during your meals. Many of the other clones were awkward or didn’t even talk.
At least a few of members of this squad seemed to enjoy it. One silver haired boy did not but hopefully that friendship will come with time.
You didn’t even notice the buzzing of your com link until the torgruta looked over the table.
“Ah so my padawan did take my instructions.” Master Ti’s airy words flew through the other conversations in the mess.
“Making some new friends dear?”
Your cheeks burned red as you stood to greet the master with a bow. “Umm yes Master, I guess I missed the start of training?” You looked up at her expectantly.
To say her face didn’t completely melt was an understatement, you had the Jedi wrapped around your finger. At least she new Colt felt the same.
“That’s quite all right my young padawan, why don’t you come find me after you and your friends conclude your meal.”
Without thinking you quickly shot forward and hugged the waist of the torgruta before saying. “I will, thank you master.”
“Of course my dear.” She spoke and then watched you return to your seat with an excited force signature around you. “Of course.”

whyyyyyy?!?!?! It's too sad... No :(
whatever you do, don’t think about shaak ti having to say “no, i’m not mama” to baby clones. don’t think about it breaking her heart. don’t think about these babies being raised for war. don’t think about her being the closest thing they have to a mother and she has to tell them no. just don’t think about it.

Hi everyone! I spent the rest of yesterday typing up a complete backstory for my Hogwarts Legacy OC, Danny, for a Star Wars AU in which he is a Jedi! It took me several hours to pull all this together so I hope you enjoy it!
tagging some moots to start: @adalinda-selwyn, @rypnami, @n0va25, @boxdstars, @superconductivebean, @idiot-adventures, @hazyange1s
Circa 45 BBY, Master Islwyn was born on Dressel, a remote, rural, wooded planet in the Mid-Rim largely detached from galactic politics. For the first three years of his life, the boy was nurtured on his parents’ ranch, who were former successful merchants that had sold off their interests and settled down for a quieter life after their enterprise started to wane due to the rising influence of large commerce houses such as the Inter-Galactic Banking Clan. However, his parents wanted their son to have a chance at life in the galaxy. They were not strong in the Force, but believed in it. They prayed that one day their boy would be granted that opportunity by will of the Force.
It seemed that those prayers were answered when a handful of brown-robed strangers showed up at the front doorstep of the Islwyns. Believing that this was the opportunity they hoped their son would have, the family welcomed the strangers. Little Danny could speak by this point, but being so young, there was no way he could process that this was the last family dinner he would have until he was an adult. Over supper, the visitors revealed their identities as Jedi and explained to the family their intentions to take their son in, raising and training him as a part of their Order. As much as they believed in the Force, little Danny’s parents had a hard time believing that the Jedi was more than myth, the mysterious guardians of peace and justice in the galaxy. They were still somewhat surprised when members of the Order approached their abode.
The Islwyns agreed, albeit very reluctantly and emotionally, to let the Jedi leave with their son and train them as one of their own. The three-year old Danny was the loudest and it took some time for both the parents and the Jedi to calm him down. His parents gave him hugs and admitted they would still miss him dearly in spite of the fact that they had what they wanted for him. Life on the ranch would not be the same for the couple, but they had to manage for everyone’s sake. Indeed, young Danny remained in tears as he left the ranch on the shoulder of one of the Jedi, waving goodbye.
Emigrated to the grand Jedi Temple of Coruscant, the sight of a planet-wide big city was a lot to take in for the youngling when the starship docked. He was shocked and amazed of course, as it was a vast difference to the forests and prairies of quiet Dressel. Immediately from the beginning it was clear to the masters that Danny struggled with attachment and letting go. He was a happy if somewhat quiet and shy kid. It bothered the little youngling greatly that he would have to adjust to his new surroundings, even face the reality he may not get to see his mama and papa for a very long time, if not ever again.
Under the Jedi Code, attachments were forbidden within the Order. Forcing it on little Danny however, would be wrong. One of the masters, a Togruta named Shaak Ti, took a particular interest in him. She felt and understood his deep struggles with attachments. Thus she was not hesitant to express her concerns about how he may be treated when it came to addressing his feelings and memories. Rather than trying to forcefully drill it in, which would be wrong, Master Ti advocated for working with Danny to understand his troubles and develop the important skills he would need for his journey in the Force.
Master Ti would become a motherly figure to young Danny in the Jedi. She was allowed to play a main role in his early education and training as a youngling. He felt at ease when she was around, able to sense her strong devotion to the nature of the Force and the Jedi teachings. She encouraged him to explain what upset and scared him. Ti recognized that his attachment to his mother and father was natural and part of what made him happy. It also showed that he had a strong heart and was concerned for other people and their wellbeing. Over time, Danny would learn to acknowledge and accept his feelings and attachments as positive and healthy so that he could remain focused on his studies and betterment as a Jedi. Shaak Ti understood why the Code banned attachments. They had the potential to interfere in the training and duties of a Jedi, turning them to the Dark Side if they were left unaddressed and allowed to overrun the individual. At the same time, she believed that with the proper handling, training and meditation, one would be able to manage their attachments in a constructive way.
As a student, Danny also looked up to Shaak Ti as a role model. He took up after her in the spiritual, scholarly and martial components of the Jedi, preferring negotiation first while being prepared for battle at any moment. He even took an interest in whips and dreamed of having a lightsaber that worked like one of them when he got older, developing a specialization for the whip throughout his training. Danny was well-liked by his peers and got along with most of his clan, though some considered him as weird and teased him for his unusual interest in whips. Otherwise he was empathetic and hardworking, sometimes assisting classmates in need.
When they came of age, young Danny and the rest of his initiate clan participated in a rite of passage known as the Gathering to build their lightsabers, as was customary. They were flown to the faraway snowy planet of Ilum in an ancient starship called the Crucible under the guidance of Professor Huyang, an academic droid also dating back from antiquity. On the planet, Danny and the younglings had to journey into caverns to find kyber crystals that they connected to in the Force while overcoming challenges testing their resilience and willpower. He managed to work through all the obstacles and negative temptations within him due to the teachings of Shaak Ti. The crystal he found was green due to his affinity with the Force’s nature. Danny used the powers of the force to build his lightsaber under the careful direction of the droid professor.
He passed his Initiate Trials with flying colors. As a Jedi Master, Shaak Ti was allowed to select her own apprentice to train, who would be none other than young Danny. It was now 32 BBY, which would see the world of Naboo be invaded and occupied by the Trade Federation in response to hefty tariffs by the Galactic Republic. He also witnessed the arrival of a young slave from the Outer Rim desert world of Tatooine, Anakin Skywalker, the news of which also brought along rumors of a Sith resurgence. While the possibility of the evil Force order returning concerned Danny somewhat, he brushed them aside as he was intrigued by the story of Anakin. Skywalker was permitted into the Jedi for training as Obi-Wan’s student after helping defeat the Trade Federation force that held Naboo at gunpoint. While welcoming toward Anakin, Danny couldn’t shake off the feeling that something was troubling him. He sensed that Skywalker also had problems with attachments, which he could understand, but the former slave’s predicament was worse than what he had to deal with.
Danny continued his studies under Master Ti, them going on many missions together to further their journeys in the Force. Their bond grew to new heights as her student became an older teenager. Master and padawan saw each other as equals and had a shared mutual respect. Even on the hardest missions did young Danny enjoy traveling with and learning from Shaak Ti. In 25 BBY, he completed the Jedi Trials and was knighted in a formal ceremony. While proud of this accomplishment, he was not to rest on his laurels for long as he was assigned his new padawan shortly after, a teenage girl named Sophronia. Danny was reluctant at first, if a bit apprehensive even, but all doubts came crashing down when he got to meet her. The girl was intelligent and bright, as well as eager and friendly. She conveyed an air of maturity while remaining youthful and was devoted to the Jedi teachings.
Over the next 6 years, Master Islwyn dedicated himself to training Sophronia the best he could using what he learned from Master Ti and his own experiences. He constructed his lightwhip with an orange crystal after years of honing the skill. His apprentice was somewhat jealous of this, but she was also proud of him for his accomplishment. She respected and admired him a lot. They shared their passion for learning and knowledge, which further their bond and respective paths. Even then Danny would sometimes be irritated by Sophronia’s deep passion and talkative nature on the details of historical events and legends. While their bond was still a bit rocky at the start, they gradually warmed up to each other. He continued to maintain his close bond with Shaak Ti, who offered his padawan advice and motivation from time to time.
Tensions in the Republic only continued to worsen following the Naboo crisis. Many star systems were breaking off to join a new rising power in response to growing corruption, bureaucracy and alleged mistreatment. Named the Confederacy of Independent Systems, it rapidly gained support and membership under the direction of a former Jedi-turned-Sith, Count Dooku, who was christened Darth Tyranus by his master, Darth Sidious. The massive commerce houses that prompted Danny’s parents to leave business had also joined the CIS, providing military and financial support in return for places in the Separatists' governing council.
It was hard to believe for Danny that such an accomplished and respected Jedi such as Dooku could leave the Order and possibly even defect to the Republic’s rivals or enemies. He picked up his parents’ sentiment for politics, it being sort of alien to him as a committed Jedi. It was believed that Dooku had left as he felt that the organization was becoming too political, short-sighted and narrow in its ways serving the Republic. Danny also struggled to comprehend this as he always remembered the Jedi as essential to his family. They had cared for him, trained him and afforded him a life where he could be happy and perhaps make a difference in the galaxy. As much as he felt strongly about Dooku leaving the Order, nothing could change his stance on the Jedi until the outbreak of the Clone Wars.
Dooku’s warnings would be validated as the powder keg of tensions in the galaxy exploded, pitting the Republic in open hostilities with the Separatists. The shortcomings of the Jedi were exposed to the public throughout the war, the role of them as soldiers not helping sentiment against them. That’s what Danny saw himself as he continued to serve the Jedi and the Republic in the war. He did not see it as his duty to be caught up in the back-and-forth playing of politics in the Senate Chamber. His convictions lied in the safety and wellbeing of his padawan, Master Ti and his force of clone troopers.
Although Danny always had questions about the Jedi doctrine that stemmed from his very first encounter with them as a little boy on Dressel. They were aided by the Clone Wars’ increase in scrutiny and condemnation of the Jedi as warriors pushing for the Republic’s interests at the costs of other people. Danny did not believe that it was that extreme, but he could not refute that the Jedi doctrine was flawed, if even outdated and in need of amendment. He further suspected that there were plans going on behind closed doors to usurp the Jedi and destroy the democracy laid out by the Republic. However he could not act on it nor communicate it much to others due to a lack of proof.
Nevertheless Danny and Sophronia fought in many battles together, the experience in the combat zone a test of their bond and prowess in its own right. Coming into 19 BBY, Sophronia became a knight herself. Much to the immense applause and gratitude of both Danny and Shaak Ti, she had proven herself a fierce, independent and accomplished Jedi worthy of the honor. Following the battle above Coruscant and the rescue of Chancellor Palpatine, Danny was informed that he had been selected for the ascension rank of Master for his honorable service and dedication to teaching young Sophronia the ways of the Force. He was to receive the promotion once the Clone Wars were over, this would unfortunately be cut short by Order 66.
Having thwarted an attempt by Master of the Order Mace Windu to apprehend him and bring him to justice, Palpatine, the Sith Lord Darth Sidious, framed the Jedi as killers who attempted to take over the Republic and made Anakin his apprentice, Sith Lord Darth Vader. While he sent out Vader to raze the Jedi Temple with 501st Legion backup, Palpatine issued the contingency command Order 66 to turn the clone troopers against their Jedi commanders and comrades out in battle. Danny himself was able to dodge the crossfire using his lightwhip skills and slip away. Sophronia also managed to escape although Shaak Ti was caught in the temple and killed by Anakin along with many of the other Jedi on Coruscant.
Danny attempted to reach a few of the Jedi as he escaped the battlefield in his fighter. Most of the channels gave no response but he managed to reach Sophronia, who he advised to lay low and sent coordinates for a place where they could rendezvous later on. He also got ahold of Obi-Wan Kenobi, who had just fled Utapau after killing the Separatist warlord General Grievous. They agreed to meet at the Jedi Temple on Coruscant to investigate a distress signal coming from it. Danny had a bad feeling about it as his suspicions of a secret plot to topple the Jedi and Republic were confirmed.
Meeting Obi-Wan inside the ruined temple, he was horrified at the insurmountable decimation that had been wrought, even that Anakin, the “Chosen One” could even fall to the Dark Side. Unfortunately, that was the case as they and Yoda reviewed security footage of their former ally slaughtering their innocent comrade. It was too much for Danny to bear but he had to stick to his Jedi teachings and remain strong for his surviving brethren. Obi-Wan had to even stop him from entering Shaak Ti’s room and seeing her gruesome remains. He was devastated that she had been killed and they’d never get to see each other again, although some consolation came in the form of a holomessage Master Kenobi had recovered from Ti’s room. It had been recorded by her soon before Anakin had arrived with hundreds of 501st Legion troops, sensing that he had turned to the Sith and she’d most likely be dead. The recording was a goodbye from Shaak Ti to her former student. In it, she urged him to continue his studies in the Force, seek out Yoda to get his master promotion, and stay alive so that he can help defeat whatever evil arises from the shift in Force and restore freedom, peace and justice to the galaxy. Anything else, the deaths of Ti and other fallen Jedi would be in vain. The message also encouraged Danny to seek out whatever family he had, if there were any at all.
After receiving and listening to the holomessage, Danny and Obi-Wan reluctantly said farewell and may the force be with you to each other before parting ways. Yoda had already departed to battle Sidious before the other two surviving Jedi investigated Ti's room. Obi-Wan was going to Mustafar to confront his former friend and student Vader. Thrust into a new reality where the Republic and Jedi, the family he knew is now dead at the hands of an evil Sith lord and a traitorous Skywalker who was once an ally, Danny sets himself off on a new journey. Acting on a tip from a contact who recognized his surname, he begins the long flight to Dressel to find the original family he came from.
Palpatine meanwhile declares the First Galactic Empire. In a move to consolidate power under the guise of security and stability, the Sith Lord ends the era of the Republic, crowning himself Emperor and putting the Separatists to the saber. Democracy is dead with thunderous applause. Danny could not have picked a better time to flee the heart of the new Empire, as any surviving Jedi were marked for death with bounties soon following. No matter what, the Force remains strong in him, who must remain committed on his journey in his role as a guardian of peace and justice in the galaxy.

Miscellaneous Star Wars headcanons :3
((This aint all of them but we’d be here forever if i put all of them))
Ahsoka grows to be taller than Anakin (yes Anakin is offended by this)
Anakin’s first language isn’t Basic (its not even his second its like 4th. Outer Rim folk don’t speak a lotta Basic)
Tatooine is like Australia, Colombia and Texas combined SO the accent is Australian, Colombian and Texan combined. Luke’s Tatooine accent leans harder on the Texan side. He says howdy :)
Leia studied former politicians from the Pre-Empire days (because Bail wants his girl to be EDUCATED) and accidentally ends up learning a little about Padmé.
Leia’s first words would’ve been mama if Padmé and Anakin had gotten to raise their child
Luke felt isolated as a kid, even though he was very social. Partly because kids found him weird, partly because ‘Skywalker’ is a slave name.
Obi Wan doesn’t find it gross that Anakin eats bugs, he finds it gross Anakin eats RAW UNSEASONED bugs. So uncivilised
The Clones on Kamino have hug piles. (They need comfort ok)
Rex cries a lot in private.
Even though Aalya and Luminara are a few years older than Anakin, Anakin befriended them really quickly. They’rebesties :)
Canonically Anakin is a really good artist but doesn’t show people SOOOOooo the headcanon is Obi Wan finds a sketch of him one day by Anakin while cleaning up after Anakin’s mess in his room and loves it so much he hangs it in his own room.
Padmé proposed to Anakin
Padmé gets just as jealous as Anakin, she’s just not as melodramatic and can destroy people with words
Anakin smokes from time to time (don’t tell Obi Wan or Padmé they will kill him)
Obi Wan had 0 spice tolerance before living on Tatooine and had to build it up when he started living there
Anakin, Leia and Luke are all autistic
Han is surprisingly good at mingling with ‘the higher ups’ during politics dinners/parties with Leia
Shmii was a lil bit Force sensitive and helped shield Anakin when he was little
Padmé experienced prenatal depression and didn’t tell Anakin. Or anyone.
Shmii and Anakin couldn’t write and Anakin only knew how to read a few words. Anakin learnt when he was taken to the temple
Togruta’s yawns like a snake. When Ahsoka yawned infront of Rex for the first time his soul left his body
Yoda hunts frogs in the ponds within the Temple. Little Dooku saw him doing it once. No one believed him
Owen mumbles to Cleigg and Shmii while he works like they’re still alive and with him
Shmii would tell Owen tales of what Anakin was like
Both Leia and Anakin make attempts to befriend any droids they meet. Its polite :)
Luke would dig for bugs with Beru and they’d pan fry them for dinner
Vader heard so much gossip because officers and stormtroopers just assumed he wasn’t listening to their whispering.
Ahsoka is banned from any and all kitchens because she burns 99.99% of everything she cooks
Shaak Ti had to babysit lil Anakin once and found him delightfully courious
Anakin swears in Hutesse to get away with it infront of Ahsoka. Ahsoka figures it out and starts repeating after him.
Anakin is banned from 501st game nights because he’s too competitive
Obi Wan experienced really bad nightmares after Qui Gon’s death for months
Anakin thrives in disfunction
Leia never really allowed herself to properly mourn her parents. Breha and Bail always plagued her mind.
Padmé is a dancey drunk. Anakin finds this hilarious

The idea of Plo and Shaak Ti not legally being able to do anything breaks my heart but it fits SO well
My Jedi mama and papa duo, my heart breaks for them 🥺🥺 imagine the Wolfpack being on their best behaviour at all times because they think it reflects good on Plo Koon (lil toddler Wolfpack following Plo Koon everywhere he goes 🥹🥺)
Mayday being a reflection of what CF99 couldn't be/could've been is DEVASTATING but it makes so much sense (a personal plee from me, don't kill him off please, like I know he's in hospital and canonically he would die from getting jumped by Nolan but I really REALLY want him to live
AIQVWJSKQNSHS I’M SO HAPPY YOU THINK SO OMFG I COMPLETELY FORGOT TO TYPE THAT MAYDAY WILL LIVE OMG SORRY - I don’t care. I’m a sucker for tragedy, but not for Mayday’s 😩 THAT MAN IS ALIVE AND WILL HEAL, and Hexx & Veetch are watching him like a hawk “do you need water ori’vod?” “Vod, stop moving, the nurse said you need to take it easy.” And Mayday’s just like “The both of you need to chill out - I’m going to the refresher,”
And the idea of Hunter meeting Mayday makes me so happy, long haired besties and no one can change my mind.
OH ALSO yes to navigation list that would be perfect and then other people that are new to your au can really follow along well too :)) ……. idk if you have a tag for this au but that would be awesome too!!
YESS!! I’m gonna dedicate some time to get one sorted out just for this specific AU - and in terms of tags I’m not really sure what to have it as… I’ve been tagging “Modern Batch” recently but that’s just because that is what it is 🤣🤣 I don’t really fancy doing a tag like “#Modern Batch Byl” or “Inky Modern Batch” because to me it just feels like I’ve branded something and euuuuuggghhhh (that, and my username doesn’t really have much room to work with LMFAO) but I’m sure I’ll figure something out, and arrange everything 🤩
Originally when I made the first post, with Hunter holding Omega’s hand, I was gonna go down a sorta ‘GangFam’ pathway but it wasn’t as interesting to me as keeping linked with the canon, it’s way more fun to see the differences and references and such.
Ik in other au posts you've mentioned their ages but I don't think I really ever commented on them and I just wanna say that they're so good, and fit nicely and it's kinda exactly how I imagined them (question, can't remember if it's come up before but are Cross and Tech twins in your au? Just wondering)
Yessss!! I loved thinking of how their ages would work in the AU, and yup!! Tech & Crosshair are twins! Crosshair’s obviously the baby, and I think in terms of Tech being the third, (and what happened after the accident in this AU) in my mind it makes sense as to why he’s had to grow up so quickly and develop a stronger sense of responsibility and take advantage of his high IQ for the benefits of his family.
When he wasn’t responsible with what he created, Wrecker got hurt. (And in this AU, Wrecker was the brother who helped the family out with their technology and keeping them safe, so Tech stepping up where Wrecker can’t anymore came as second nature to him, if that makes sense?)
His baby twin brother got hurt during a fight defending Tech, resulting in his scar, so now Tech takes protecting him and his brother’s seriously. Crosshair also keeps Tech in reality (when they were much younger) with his cynicism, and Tech is able to help Crosshair relax with being able to talk about his imagination for all the things he could invent. Because let’s be real - it’s Tech. He can make anything. The Twins inspire each other to be better, but I think when Tech hurt Wrecker - he instinctively ‘grew up’ a lot quicker than Crosshair, as he was directly responsible for what happened to their brother - something Crosshair hasn’t gone through to that extent.
(This is most likely gonna be changed but I’m on a roll with typing rn if you get what I’m saying lmfao) Hunter lives for his brothers and deep down he has stationed his importance below theirs - he wants them to have a good life, so he got them out of the group home and away from the trouble with the regs. He left school to make sure they had food on the table and didn’t have to pickpocket their way through life, and thanks to Wrecker & Tech’s genius - they managed to bring some lesson recordings home with them so that Hunter could keep on listening and learning while he would go about his days. (Like I said idk all the details about Hunter that I wanna explore - I’m just having fun LMFAAAO)
Omega in this AU is Boba’s Twin, and is dropped off at TBB’s door by Jango. (I can’t remember much about Jango from the canon, but just for this AU I’d love it if Hunter, out of all the clone boys was the one Jango resonated with the most, hence why he couldn’t trust anyone else more than him to look after his precious daughter.) she arrived a few months after Wrecker’s accident, so he’s up and about with a few bandages here and there - but you could imagine for someone like Crosshair, whose twin nearly offed his older brother, and now has a baby sister that’s just… there, and everyone’s okay with that? Yeah. He’s big mad.
Timeskip tho because I love them, Omega & him will have the most days out when she’s older, and he listens to ALL of her school gossip.
HANSKSKAKLSKSKSHBAQVAHS I WENT OFF ON SUCH A TANGENT I’M SO SORRY
Thank you so much for the kind words 🥹🥹🥹🫶🫶🫶✨✨✨🩵🩵🩵 I know I’m talking about this as if it was a business plan, but I LOVE talking about details in AU’s like this, and I’m glad I’m actually writing the ideas down for once!
I’m sooooooo happy you’re enjoying this, though!! The next few days for me are a bit busy so the comic I’m working on, set right after Wrecker is sent to the hospital, is gonna take a lot longer than I’d like it to 😓
(Also random, Tech meeting Phee when he goes to University? Yes please. Omega having her friendship group of Lyana, Hera and Benni since they were kids? Yes double please.) OKAY I NEED TO STOP TALKING WE’LL BE HERE FOR YEARS OTHERWISE AJBAKALAOJSHABAKS
It’s 4AM and I’ve just had a bloody idea regarding Crosshair in the Modern Batch AU (Ramble)
(Not the most original but omdhakabajdj I have to write it down and ramble before I fall asleep and forget, yknow what I mean?)
Tagging @sp4wnofch40s & @clonethirstingisreal because y’all have a talent for literally deciphering anything I say whenever I post anything about this 🤣 (that, and I can’t help but tag you both bc it’s so much fun talking about this with you 👉👈🫶)
I might make a dedicated navigation list for this AU, I’m having waaaayy too much fun with this and wanna keep up with what I’m waffling about
In the Modern AU of the bad batch (⚠️this will contain names and roles of characters that may Spoil The Bad Batch!!⚠️) I’ve come up with a few wholesome things and general dynamics that have an easy translation between Star Wars canon, and this alternate universe idea.
However I just thought of another, but before that, quick context I’ve mentioned in other posts:
All the clone boys are raised in a group home run by Shaak Ti & Plo Koon after they wanted to be the sole guardians of all the clones. Keeping in line with CF99’s canon relationship with the Regs, their relationship with the other clone boys led to constant fights - so Hunter took them out of that and left school to start working so they could have a place for themselves. Older brothers like Rex & Cody, etc keep an eye on them and help them in anyway they can.
(In this AU, I kinda want the boys to be different ages, if they do have different ages it would look like this: When Omega arrives, she’s 5. Crosshair & Tech are 13. Wrecker is 17, and Hunter is 19. These are also the ages when Wrecker gets hurt, a few months before Omega arrives. Important to note, after the events of the idea spoken about below 👇 about 5 years would’ve gone past, as that will line up slightly with Omega & Crosshair’s interactions like in the canon. She will be 10 & Crosshair will be 18 or 19)
The new addition of context ideas:
But the agreement with the council/ government states that once a clone leaves the home or turns 18 they lose any and all legal authority over them. So if one of the clone boys got into trouble after they’ve grown up/injured as an adult - Shaak Ti and Plo Koon can’t do anything about it. (Another subtle system put in place to wash out the clone boys as they grow up, essentially casting them to the streets and stuff)
The actual idea I just had but needed to make sure I could connect the dots with the early ideas I already had:
Any clones that are disobedient get sent to military school, funded by Tarkin and run by Hemlock.
Crosshair hasn’t adapted to Omega being dropped on them very well, despite it being 5 years since she’s been a part of their family, and he’s started acting out a lot more, causing more fights, threatening more people while battling a raging superiority and/or inferiority complex.
(This next bit is very much under construction because I’m not sure how I’d like this to work out: Crosshair meets mayday around this time period and they’re the same age, if not then Mayday is probably a year or two older, and he starts spending a lot of time with him instead of at home - Mayday isn’t a trouble maker and he’s quite similar to Hunter where he took his squad and made a house a home for them all - he’s acting as a symbolism of what CF99 might’ve looked like if they weren’t defective - Hunter would’ve stayed in school like mayday, and would’ve been able to help his brothers out with a lot more things if that makes sense? Crosshair hangs out with Mayday, but mayday isn’t a troublemaker.
One day while Crosshair is chilling out with Mayday, Hexx & Veetch, (Lieutenant) Nolan starts harassing and laughing at them with his rich boy posse. ((This next bit is very much in the works)) But because Mayday is employed by Nolan’s father (a government official) and even though he’s in a higher position than the wee shite, he doesn’t say much and just shrugs it off.
Eventually the harassment gets significantly worse and Mayday is jumped by Nolan’s gang and is sent to the hospital. Crosshair then bugs out and beats the whole gang up, including Nolan. He’s caught by police and due to Nolan’s status as an official’s son, Cross is then taken to the military school to get him back in line. )) <— End the ‘under construction idea’
Military School idea
After Crosshair was causing too much chaos with fights + beating up Nolan, Governor Tarkin ordered for him & some other clone boys that had went ‘rogue’, and since they weren’t underage/ under Shaak Ti/Plo Koon’s supervision anymore - there’s nothing they could do to get them back.
(In the eyes of the government, it would just be seen as two strangers trying to claim back an adult if that makes sense?)
At the military school he’s then treated horrendously, like the other clones that are brought there, under the guise of “discipline”, hence the links with the canon trauma. (As this is a modern AU and even though I love me some corrupted experimentation storylines, I think it’s probably better to stick with adults in positions of authority abusing that power. AKA, Hemlock)
Anyways, after some more brainstorming I’ll need to figure out a way to get Omega and Crosshair to meet again cos she’s the one who manages to break his shell like in the show and takes care of him, like she does in the show.
But yeah!
Sorry if this is so scattered, I’ve literally been struggling to sleep and this popped to mind, so I had to write the ideas out as soon as they came! Everything’s still a rough idea, and all an’ all, a very fun concept to play with!!
Hopefully it’s legible 🤣🤣 I’m having so much fun playing with all of these concepts and ideas, I haven’t proofread this so sorry if anything is a bit confusing!! Gonna try n fall asleep listening to some Daz Black now

Resist Order 66
Title: Breathe Chapters: 1 / 1 Characters: Shaak Ti, Cadet Aero
Summary: There are times when Aero has to remind himself to breathe. This is a lot harder when something in your head is trying to make you kill your source of air.
FF | AO3 | Master List
It happens at home.
He's in class, getting ready to start a training exercise with his brothers when the screaming starts. He and his brothers go down, their instructor too, all of them clutching at their heads.
Execute Order 66.
He feels like the wind has been knocked out of him, his breath leaving him in a rush. He can't breathe. He doesn't understand, this - this wasn't in their training. And he knows that he isn't anywhere near finished with his training, but this wasn't even hinted at and it goes against everything that he's been taught.
Good soldiers follow orders.
The first thing any clone ever learns is that they were made for the Jedi.
The Jedi are the reason they are alive, the reason that they draw breath.
So why is this thing in his head telling him to kill that reason?
Good soldiers follow orders.
No, no, no, this can't be right. This isn't right. He can't do this. He can't. He can't, he can't he can't, he won't.
GOOD SOLDIERS FOLLOW ORDERS.
He can't breathe.
He's at home. He's at home and for all that he understands logically that it's impossible given the state of the galaxy, home is supposed to be safe. Home is supposed to be safety and protection and family.
Not this. Never this.
GOOD SOLDIERS FOLLOW ORDERS.
"Aero, get up," Matchstick says, grabbing his arm and hauling him upright, "We need to move."
He feels himself nodding before he even realizes what he's doing and starts following the other cadets back to their barracks.
But why?
Why?
They can't do anything here. They're home, not on the front lines. There are no Jedi -
He stops.
That's wrong.
There is. There's always one Jedi on Kamino. He's seen her, he knows her, he's talked to her. He's sat with her while she meditated and listened as she taught his brothers about the shades of gray in galaxy. She's the one who found him curled in a corner after his first training exercise and talked him down from a panic attack.
She's the one who reminds him how to breathe.
GOOD SOLDIERS FOLLOW ORDERS.
General, he thinks, gripping the thought with both hands and shoves it straight back at the voice.
It shrieks at him. It claws and pulls and tears, but he's a clone trooper and he was taught never to take anything lying down so he shoves right back.
GOOD SOLDIERS FOLLOW ORDERS.
Mine, he screams back at it, shoving it away, Ours! You can't have her!
He pushes and pulls and tugs and beats the voice back until it's just a faint echo in the back of his head. He blinks and ignores the pounding at his temples. He may be a cadet, but he's still a clone trained for war. There's a time and a place for everything and there are more important things to worry about than a little headache.
He glances around at his brothers and sees nothing out of the ordinary.
Except their eyes.
Their eyes aren't right.
They're too cold, too blank, too distant.
He wonders if they're screaming back inside their heads too or if they're following orders.
He drifts to the back of the group, ducking around a corner as soon as he deems it safe and runs. It's about noon and General always meditates in the empty training room near the west side hanger bay before going to lunch.
He runs faster than he ever has in his six years of life. His lungs burn and his chest is heaving and it hurts to breathe but he has to. He has to.
He hears it before he sees it - the hum of a lightsaber, the sound of blaster fire.
And then General Ti is rounding the corner, armed and ready, lightsaber just barely missing his cheek. The heat still sears his skin and his breath catches in his throat at the sight of the wild look in his General's eyes.
It's wrong.
General Ti is always calm, always collected. Always, always, always. But she isn't right now and the look of betrayal and heartbreak on her face makes his lungs seize.
There are footsteps pounding down the hall and General Ti jerks to look over her shoulder. He's an unarmed cadet, not even fully grown and hardly a threat in this situation. And he has never been more grateful because that means that his General all but dismisses him to focus on his brothers.
It means that she's too slow to stop him when he darts in and grabs the hand holding her lightsaber and forcing the blade across his right forearm - close enough to sear and burn and damage, but not enough to cause irreversible harm. General Ti whips around to stare at him with wide eyes as he forces the blade through his right shoulder.
It burns.
It hurts more than anything he's ever experienced before in his life, but he shuts away the pain, shoves it aside in a neat little box and locks it away. Pain is for later. Right now the mission comes first.
His right arm is his dominate arm, as is the case with most clones. The damage, while not serious, will prevent him from fighting. However, he knows lightsabers and what they can do and knows that the wounds he's just given himself can be recovered from. But they look bad.
And that's the entire point.
His thumb flicks over the switch on the lightsaber, shutting it down, and while his General is still shocked, he shoves her into the training room and shuts the door. He collapses against the wall just as his older brothers round the corner.
"What are you doing out here, kid?" the lead asks, and Aero can feel his gaze lingering on the lightsaber burns in his arm.
"Sorry, sir," he gasps out, gritting his teeth as he shifts it arm into a more comfortable position, "She got past me."
He hears a few of them sigh and a mutter about upstart rookies, but the lead shakes his head and places a gentle hand on his uninjured shoulder.
"That's alright, kid," he says, "You leave the rest of it to us, yeah? You head over to medical and get that looked at."
Aero manages a nod, plastering a disappointed look on his face as he gestures down the hall he'd come from. "She ran that way, sir."
His older brother nods and feels a moment of guilt that he quickly squashes.
Not the time, he reminds himself.
A few minutes later, when the sound of footsteps has faded, he opens the door. General Ti is standing on the other side, lightsaber hilt in hand, watching him with unreadable eyes.
"Aero," she says after a moment and her voice his calm, but there's a strange undercurrent to it that's never been there before, "What is going on?"
He flinches and haltingly explains what happened, what is happening. His General doesn't make a sound, her expression blank.
"And why," she asks when he's finished, "are you not effected?"
"I am," he admits without hesitation, unable to keep his shame out of his voice at that simple fact, "But you're my General."
General Ti blinks, looking more bemused than anything, before her lips quirk up ever so slightly. "I suppose I am."
He nods firmly and grabs her free hand. "We need to get you out of here."
His General nods and allows him to lead her even though she knows these halls just as well as he does. He's glad of it because it means that he can feel the warmth beneath her skin, proof that she's alive despite the distant shrieking in his head.
They stick to the shadows, moving silently until they reach the hanger, General Ti heading straight for a standard fighter, ignoring hers entirely. As she goes to let go of his hand, he finds his tightening automatically.
He can't help it.
She's his General. She's everything. And she's leaving.
His eyes burn and his throat is tight and the pain in his chest makes his wounds seem insignificant.
"Aero," she says calmly, gently.
"Sorry," he chokes out even as he squeezes her hand tighter, "Sorry. Sorry, General. I'm - "
General Ti tugs him close, free hand curling around the back of his neck. "Hush," she says softly, "Breathe."
He sucks in a sharp breath, releasing it slowly.
"Again," his General instructs.
He does. In, hold, and then out.
Slowly, he feels the panic ebb even as the heartbreak remains.
"Sorry, Mom," he murmurs without thinking and then freezes.
His head jerks up, panic rushing back as he looks at his General's shocked expression. She wasn't supposed to find out. She wasn't ever supposed to know. She's a Jedi and that's not how they work, but it was different for clones. Clones were brothers, family. Jango Fett was their 'dad' in a way, but none of them had a mother - because test tubes didn't count no matter how many jokes they all made. But General Ti was kind and patient and while they were all pretty sure that she was not at all what a mother was supposed to be, that didn't stop them from whispering about it, from referring to her as such in the privacy of their own minds.
"Aero, breathe."
He doesn't. He can't.
He told her.
She knows.
She'll say no because she's a Jedi and he's just a clone and -
General Ti pulls him close, wraps her arms around him as best she can with his death grip on one of her hands.
"Breathe, youngling," she says against his ear, "It's alright."
Almost against his will, he sinks into her hold. She's warm and safe and his General-Mother.
"Sorry," he mumbles into her robe.
She chuckles. "It's alright, Aero. I'm not upset. You have nothing to apologize for."
"Still sorry."
She pulls away then and Aero lets her because as much as he might want to cling, it's not safe for her to linger here.
Home isn't safe.
Not anymore.
"Come on, Aero," General Ti says, opening the fighter's cockpit.
Aero blinks, noticing for the first time that the fighter is a double. "But - General! I - I can't!" he splutters, gesturing helplessly at his head. He can't; it's not safe for her to be around him right now.
His General-Mother somehow manages to look both serene and highly unimpressed. "Surely you didn't think I would leave you here alone after this, did you?"
"But - "
"In," she says, nodding pointedly at the seat behind her, her voice leaving no room for arguments.
He gulps, part of him screaming to disobey, to keep her safe, to run, to refuse, but the other, much larger part very much wants to listen.
"Yes, sir," he says, strapping himself in.
"Close your eyes," his General-Mother instructs as she starts the ship, "Focus inward, find your center."
Aero does as he's told, starting the meditation exercise that she has led him and his brothers through countless times.
"Forget the outside world," she says, calm and steady in the center of the storm, "Forget the things that hold you down. Let them go."
Aero feels himself sinking, deeper and deeper still. The voice from before is still echoing around him, tugging, enticing. He feels it pulling him in.
"Let it wash over you, Aero. It cannot control you if you do not let it."
That's right.
This is his body. His mind. His world. He's the one in control here, not the voice. He is the one in charge. He won't let the voice win - not when his reason for disobeying it is sitting right in front of him.
His General.
His Mother.
He's in control.
And no one can take that from him.
"Breathe."
He does.
