DAY 5612
Jalsa, Mumbai June 29/30, 2023 Thu/Fri 2:51 AM
🪔 .. June 29 .. on this auspicious day of two auspicious occasions Eid Aldha and Ashadi Ekadashi .. our greetings and birthday wishes to .. Ef Rakhi Oberoi Malik from Texas .. Ef Jani Pradeep (urf Jani Bhai) .. Ef Nabarun Ghosh .. and Ef Rima Sukhadia .. keep well and happy .. with love and prayers from your Ef Family always .. ✨
And .. to dear Ef Dr. Jayshree Sharad .. her 28th wedding anniversary on June 30 .. our greetings and love ..
Eid celebrated in India .. June 29 .. and .. occasion of Ashadi Ekadashi or Shayani Ekadashi .. the festival of Lord Vitthal .. from Pandharpur, who is believed to be an incarnation of Lord Krishna ..

tongue not in cheek .. out of it .. awkward wonky step .. but the music was such .. so the crossed footsteps ..

getting the lines right .. an embarrassment when they go wrong .. so GET IT RIGHT CRITTER .. !!

in contemplation again and again and again ..

off to work for the day .. ad., shoot .. and six yes 6 films done within the course of the day .. work liberates .. were such words written on the gates of some of the most horrific incidents of the World .. I visited one such .. and still dream of its horror ..
but the most rewarding for the day was the visit to the temple for the Ashadi Ekadashi aarti at my friend’s temple in town .. there is liberation here .. in each breath in each movement .. if I write at 3:30 am now on the 30th of the June , it is because the religiosity of the moment prevails long after it is over ..
may there be rest and recovery for all after the festivities ..
Love

Amitabh Bachchan

movies i watched this week:
- Body Cam, dir Malik Vitthal 2020
⭐️⭐️ nothing to write home about
- One Of Them Days, dir Lawrence Lamont 2025
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ saw it in theaters as soon as it came out, im in love with keke palmer ill see anything shes in! i rlly hope sza does more acting, i LOVED her in this omg(': so happy this is on streaming now
- Evangelion: 3.0 + 1.0 2021
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ have been binging the franchise with my wife & kid(: this ones my fav i think but i have mixed feelings about the end
- Tideland, dir Terry Gilliam 2005
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ ive been meaning to watching this FOREVER but i kept putting it off out of fear but i think its probably one of my favorite movies now!!! excited to make the pals uncomfortable with this blind recommendation!
- Agnes, dir Mickey Reece 2021
⭐️ rewatch. i had no recollection of watching it before but i did, apparently. was pretty excited because of the trailer (the trailer was better than the movie) and the fact toby from this is us in it but sheesh i saw instantly why i had 0 recollection of having seen it before.. nice for background noise on a mellow day i suppose
- Poolman, dir Chris Pine 2023
no rating yet, im not sure.gotta sit with this one. put off watching this one too but because i had it confused with Beach Bum which i had already seen. im really not sure how i feel about this movie.
- Shapeless, dir Samantha Smith 2021
⭐️⭐️⭐️1/2 i dont have words for this one but it felt good. you know how youll find a song that you resonate with so much that youre like "holy shit what the fuck" and you look the song up on youtube and see the comments where everyone is saying the lyrics made them feel less alone in their experience and they go on to describe an experience identical to yours and youre like "!!!!! oh my god Im not alone" and it's comforting and warm, even though theres that hint of sadness there because "wait, if you lived it too.. well no one deserves that" YEAH THIS MOVIE IS LIKE THAT! i think it did a great job at NOT being another "pretty eating disorder movie" that romanticizes the living hell out of literally dying. its not romanticized at all. it portrays that "secret shame, that's even a secret from myself" so well that i was actually really shocked. the body horror isnt gross, its just sad. and despite there being so much sadness in the movie, its not a SAD movie. i think its great. like a hug i wish could've lasted longer.
