Nvidia Stock Spikes Higher In This Bearish Trend: What To Watch For Next - NVIDIA (NASDAQ:NVDA)

NVIDIA Corporation NVDA was bouncing about 3.5% on Thursday, in tandem with the S&P 500, which was surging almost 2% higher off Wednesday’s closing price and almost 5% off Thursday’s open.

The Labor Department reported an 8.2% year-over-year increase in the consumer price index for September, which caused many stocks to gap down Thursday. However, bearish volume came into the S&P 500 intraday, causing the market to spike higher.

Newegg Commerce Inc. NEGG announced that Nvidia’s NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090 graphics cards are now available at its online store. The new graphic card delivers up to four times the performance of the previous version and are powered by the new NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture.

The news caused a relief bounce in Nvidia’s stock, which has been weighed down heavily recently following the U.S. government’s decision to place restrictions on exports of some high-end chips to China.

On Tuesday, Citigroup analyst Atif Malik maintained a Buy rating on Nvidia and lowered the price target from $248 to $210.

The Nvidia Chart: Nvidia has been trading in a downtrend since Aug. 16, with the most recent lower low formed at the $112.43 on Tuesday and the most recent confirmed lower high printed on Oct. 6 at $136.56. On Thursday, Nvidia was spiking higher but not enough to negate the downtrend with the formation of a higher high.

If Nvidia closes the trading day near its high-of-day price, the stock will print a bullish engulfing candlestick, which could indicate higher prices will come again on Friday. If that happens, bullish traders will want to see Nvidia regain the eight-day exponential moving average (EMA) and trade up toward the 21-day EMA.

If Nvidia closes the trading day with a significant upper wick, lower prices may come on Friday, which could suggest that the next lower high within the downtrend has occurred. The second most likely scenario in that case is that Nvidia will print an inside bar pattern on Friday to consolidate Thursday’s move higher.

There’s a gap that exists on Nivida’s chart between $145.47 and $149.59. Gaps on charts fill about 90% of the time, which indicates Nvidia will eventually trade up to fill the empty trading range, although it could be a long period of time before that happens.

Nvidia has resistance above at $119.46 and $125.86 and support below at $108.50 and at the psychologically important $100 mark.

In these last few days I've seen a lot of hate towards CC, and I mean a lot. And even though I agree with some of the points that have been made, I think those words that have been tagged to her like "disgusting," "gross," or "terrible person" are excessive and unjust. I feel uncomfortable with some decisions that Cassie has made with the diversity she wants to portray. I'm not the kid I was when I read her work for the first time, but I am still grateful. Because in 2007 (I read it in 2009 but still) we entered in a hotel full of vampires, and the three main ones were a Latino boy, an Asian girl and a black guy. And they were vampires, they were bad guys and they were cool. I still find it exceptional. Before Magnus I didn't know you can be bi, or a guy who uses make up, and still be cool. And these things have multiplied over the years, and these are things young people need to see. TSC's cast of characters has become the most diverse one I've ever seen (and if you know some one better (or similar), please let me know). Even when I differ with her in the form she reprensents diversity, and even been perfectly aware that it is not perfect, I am grateful, because it is the best we have.

Let me tell you about My current game. I started with Ruby Lovelace. She lived in a cheap apartment in the city and was a working girl on the city streets at night. She met all types of men and women from many different backgrounds through her work.

Early on during her night work Ruby hooked up with Dominic Fyres.Accidents happen right? After taking care of it she was pretty down for days while taking a break from work. She befriended Don Lothario during this time.

Don Lothario, his wife Nina and their toddler daughter Shayla. Don and Nina weren't doing so well anymore. They were fighting alot and he would spend alot of time out of the house.

Friends and More

Ruby and Don’s friendship was casual and nothing more Don knew what Ruby did for work. Don started hooking up with Ruby and leaving cash on her nightstand before leaving to go back to his apartment in the evenings.

This went on for a while.  One evening when Don came over Ruby told him she was pregnant. While Ruby couldnt be 100% sure it was his because of her type of work, she was mostly sure. At this point Don had developed feelings for her. Ruby on the other hand was a working girl and refused emotional attachment.

Ruby kept her pregnancy secret as long as she could and continued to work as both her and Don considered what to do and how to handle it.

Ruby saved as much money as possible. After a hook up with Mortimer Goth and several requests from him following, Ruby had alot of money saved. So Ruby made the decision to better herself and move from her old run down neighborhood to 888 Spire. It was a huge change.

A New Beginning

Don left his wife Nina when she said she wanted a divorce. He was crashing on friends couches. He went to see Ruby at her new place. That had a long talk after he told her about his divorce. Ruby said she doesnt want to work the streets anymore. She wanted a better life. Ruby was still pregnant. She suggested he move in. Don agreed.

They then decided that to make this better life work by getting married. They had a quick wedding at the courthouse. Don was also hired to work as a secret agent. This brought in the regular income they both needed.

Ruby began selling artwork with her connections to rich former clients. This brought in a huge sum of money for the newlyweds.

They remodeled the apartments bringing space for large lavish parties, and room for a new butler.

They were doing pretty damn well considering how they began.

As strange as it may seem Don was working on the side entertaining rich female clients as a male escort. Ruby casually joked about it and then thought why not?

Ruby gave birth to a baby girl. They named her Marielle.

During one of Ruby and Dons parties Dina ( Nina’s sister) was there. Do hooked up with her. Dina is married to Malik. They live in Oasis Springs.

Not too long after that party Don gets a little announcement that he had a new daughter. oops.So thats 3 daughters now for dear old Don. poor guy.

Life went on for the Lotharo family. winter was approaching and Ruby was expecting baby number 2.

By this time they hired a nanny and a butler as well as a maid to help keep their chaos in check.

Changes and Consequences

For thanksgiving Ruby & Don invited over several of their single friends to join in celebrating. For some reason Dina decided to show up too. Well the drinking was well underway before noon. The baby was upstairs being watched by the nanny.

The butler even joining in on the celebrating was sitting by the fire having a drink.

Don snuck away upstairs to the bathroom with Dina. Oh boy. This is never a good idea. ( as i focused on the activity downstairs instead because i didnt care about their convo upstairs enough).

Days after the party and preparing for Winterfest. My sims were decorating. This was when i knew they were outgrowing their apartment that i had grown to love.

Ruby had just given birth to a baby boy named Gabriel. They had to put him in the former office which left no space for an office.

Soon after this i notice Don suddenly in pre parental panic when there was no impending birth in the house. I check the family tree and Dina has given birth to another baby girl! Oh no Don! What did you do!

I felt at this point the city wasnt the place for the growing family. I decided on Strangerville. I packed up the family and moved them to a larger home overlooking the town.

It took them some time to renovate and decorate the old place to bring it up to date with their style.

Don continued his job as a secret agent. He even began investigating strange reports about the new town.

In March for Science, Earth and Space Take Center Stage

WASHINGTON – Thousands of scientists and science enthusiasts of all ages flooded the streets of Washington despite a drizzling rain Saturday (April 22) in a March for Science to show their support for the scientific work that has made modern life possible.

Throngs of demonstrators, many decked out in white lab coats, packed the National Mall ahead of the march for a rally kicked off by Bill Nye the Science Guy, a co-chair for the march and CEO of the Planetary Society that promotes space exploration.

"We are marching today to remind people everywhere, our lawmakers especially, of the significance of science for our health and prosperity," Nye told the crowd here. In fact, the need to support science and the arts is even referred to in the U.S. Constitution, in Article 1, Section 8, he said.  [March for Science in Photos: The Best Space Signs]

"Yet today we have a great many lawmakers —not just here, but around the world — deliberately ignoring and actively suppressing science," Nye added. Their inclination is misguided, and in no one's best interest."

While Nye did not mention President Donald Trump, handmade signs and chants from the demonstrators (some called for the ouster of Scott Pruitt, the Trump-appointed head of the Environmental Protection Agency) showed their displeasure with the administration's policies on the environment and climate change. 

"Our lawmakers must know and accept that science serves every one of us. Every citizen of every nation in society. Science must shape policy. Science is universal. Science brings out the best in us." Nye said. "With an informed, optimistic view of the future, we can — dare I say it — save the world!"

The March for Science in Washington on Earth Day  was the flagship of hundreds of similar marches in cities across the United States and around the world. In Washington, demonstrators touted signs emblazoned with "Make America Think Again" and "Build Spaceships, Not Walls," while others broke out in chants like "Fund science, not the wall!" The White House released a statement for Earth Day, in which Trump said "My administration is committed to advancing scientific research that leads to a better understanding of our environment and of environmental risks," according to the New York Times, which added that the statement did not mention the march in Washington or its satellite marches.

NASA astronaut Leland Melvin spoke to the crowd on the National Mall ahead of the march. Melvin, a veteran of two space shuttle missions who also served as NASA's associate administrator for education, retired from NASA in 2014. He talked about how he thought about the impact of science, particularly while looking down at Earth from space.

Nancy Grace Roman, the first female executive at NASA, also appeared with Nye at the March for Science. Roman had a prominent role in planning the Hubble Space Telescope, earning her the nickname "Mother Hubble," Live Science reports.

Anousheh Ansari, the Iranian-American engineer and entrepreneur who became the first female space tourist when she bought a ticket to the International Space Station in 2004 addressed the Washington crowd with a theme of unity.

"The language of science knows no race, no gender, no religion. It doesn't discriminate based on where you live or based on whether you're poor or wealthy," said Ansari according to Live Science, Space.com's sister publication. "The apple falls from the tree under the same laws, and in the same way no matter where you are in the world."

Kat Fanning of Jersey City, New Jersey caught our eye early with her sign "Keep the Earth Clean, It's Not Uranus." The sign was made by a cousin, Fanning said. She was with a whole group attending the March for Science that also attended the Women's March in January. Fanning, a librarian at the Pratt Institute in New York and an American Museum of Natural History fellow, said she was there "because it's important to show up for things. If you don't show up, you don't get your voice heard."

Paige Campbell and Madison Littin, both 20, are juniors at Pennsylvania State University and were part of a 150-person group that took three buses to Washington from State College, Pennsylvania to join the March for Science. It was Campbell, an astrophysics and meteorology student, who wrote the "Build Spaceships, Not Walls" sign. Littin is studying meteorology and emergency management.

"I'm here because I'm a big advocate for science and climate change," Campbell told Space.com. "But I'm also a big advocate for space exploration because I am in astrophysics and I love space. And I think that some of the most important discoveries and inventions that we have have come from space exploration."

"I think it's really important to get out here because right now policies are being created that are shutting down climate data, access to important research," Littin added. "And we need that research to make policies, good policies, and we need to protect the Earth that we have."

Linda Montaquilo, 55, inked a double-sided sign that read "Make America Smart Again" on one side and "Make America Think Again" on the other. She and her husband Ron traveled from Jupiter, Florida to participate in the March for Science.

"As a young child, I learned that we did not inherit this planet from our parents," Montaquilo said. "We are borrowing it from our children, and I am marching here today to make sure my children and my children's children have an Earth. To protect it."

Susan Gunn of Lanham, Maryland brought her three daughters — Lillian, 16; Colleen, 14; and Mary, 11 — to the March for Science as part of a larger group carrying giant puppets of prominent scientists, including prominent women like astronauts Sally Ride and Mae Jemison, as well as Ada Lovelace and Marie Curie. (Gunn's puppet was Rosalind Franklin.) "I'm here because life is precious and there is no Planet B," Gunn told Space.com, adding that continuing climate change research is one of her biggest concerns.

Gunn's oldest daughter Lillian carried the puppet of Sally Ride, the first American woman in space. She attends high school in Greenbelt, Maryland near NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center and is active in STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) programs. Ride, Lillian said, was an inspiration not just because she was a pioneering astronaut, but also because she did so much to encourage STEM for students. 

Other members of Gunn's group carried puppets of famed astronomer Carl Sagan, astrophysicist Neil deGrasse Tyson and NASA mathematician Katherine Johnson.

Earlier in the week, Tyson released a video to support science.

Keeping jobs in the United States is a big issue for the Trump administration, and mechanical engineer Adam Yeager of Lancaster, Pennsylvania wanted to remind President Trump that NASA's rockets are truly made in America. Yeager, 32, penned one sign showing a Saturn V moon rocket labeled as "Made in America" on one side. A Miss Frizzle 2020 candidate sign covered the other side (Frizzle is the teacher from the animated science television show "The Magic School Bus.") A second sign read: "Funding Science Is Patriotic."

Yeager made the signs for himself and childhood friend Brad Ochock, an ecologist based in Houston (it was Ochock who carred the "Made in America" sign). Despite living in different states, the two men reconnected in Washington D.C. for the March for Science. "We really wanted to show up and give our support" for science, Ochock said.

Yeager said he wanted his signs to remind people that the United States has achieved mighty scientific feats when the government funded big engineering projects.
