well! he can! if people are going to be weird and rude about Xiao Xingchen's blindness then maybe they should get to have the experience themselves. it's only fair.

one of my favorite things about writing Xue Yang, particularly at a kind of midpoint of navigating his Xiao Xingchen feelings, is the way he will get really offended about other people looking down on Xiao Xingchen or seeing him as somehow less while simultaneously constantly being like "he's such a sucker oh my god what an idiot can't believe he's even still alive what a naive moron lmao"

Top five questionable shenanigans? XD

Man, 2018 was not overly shenanigan-filled, to my chagrin. I mostly behaved myself this year. There was:

1. The NYC Work Trip Incident, or: Never Drink Rum Out of A Bowl. Amazingly, despite my boss having to pull me out of a club bathroom where I was puking my guts up and then walk me back to the hotel, I managed to get a raise at my review the following Monday. Apparently I am an affable fall-down drunk?

2. D&D Shenanigans. Not real world shenanigans, but my gender-ambiguous bard’s pansexual nonsense got the party into trouble with a banshee of a scorned lover and other sundry ridiculousness that may or may not have been my fault. Also I DM more shenanigans in another campaign!

3. Office Christmas Party Flamethrower. I didn’t set anything on actual fire. But I got to play with it. Fire pretty. 

4. Balcony Break-In. I locked myself out of my building and had to shimmy up my 2nd story balcony in the pouring rain to climb in my porch because no one would buzz me in. I was like a very chunky, soggy spider-man up in that shit.

5. “Did you just yeet me into the Old Swim Hole?” and other North Country adventures with @ameliarating and @veliseraptor. Not exactly shenanigans, but delightful memorable times with a healthy dose of silliness.

At this point I'm just assuming they're just pulling out excuses out of their asses without really checking that they make any kind of sense. Smh
