#Making Fiends OC

Here's one of many OC that a former friend gifted to me.

Meet "Venadow" (a play on the words 'vendetta' and the Latin word 'venado', meaning deer or stag)

I'm still currently brainstorming some ideas for this OC, but I was thinking about making a "Making Fiends" AU in which Venadow would be the stand-in for Vendetta. This AU will be called: "Making Fiends: True Heir"

This AU would be a continuation of the OG Making Fiends TV series. Just over a decade has passed since Charlotte moved to Clamburg, Vendetta is once again plotting to destroy Charlotte because her mean side has faded away over the years. All of a sudden, the fiend mix she's using leaps and engulfs Vendetta completely. As a result, she has a new body, a long glossy dress with eyes and teeth, and horns that are reminiscent of a deer and the elusive 'Wendigo'. Since the fiend mix (at this point ) would already be mixing with her blood, she's able to create fiends with her limitless body mass.

(This is all I have so far lol, will continue/update it later on)

(Note: This brainstormed AU is completely separate from my Making Fiends Retold AU. I might change its main premise later on if I get any other ideas for it.)

For those wondering why it says "possibly v1 redesign" in the drawing, it's because I might want to redo this base redesign and add more to it, to try to give it more of a bestial, yet familiar look to it.

HE'S HERE!!!

First of all, I absolutely Adore his design!!!

Specially the expressions on the bottom drawing of image one and top drawing of image two.

I don't know what it is but he just looks so Shaped, I love him already 🩵🩵🩵

I like to imagine Vendetta asking Charlotte why his brother isn't on the family photo she showed in the episode "parents" and she just responds with, "of course he is silly" *Takes out the picture and now CJ is inexplicably there*, also "Space Camp" I see what you did there...

The "CJ has the same happy and optimistic attitude but it's aware of Vendetta's intentions, but plays along for the shake of Charlotte" part really makes me think of a scene when he's first presented that's just him and Charlotte being goofy with Vendetta doing her thing to try and ruin their fun, Charlotte leaves the room for a moment and CJ slowly turns towards Vendetta while the area around him gets darker.

(Like that one Gif of a guy sitting on a table turning towards the camera and the background keeps getting darker, I hope you know what I'm talking about because I can't for the love of god find it anywhere)

I really like the idea of him trying to stop Vendetta, it works pretty in hand with how in the show Charlotte stops Vendetta basically without knowing, but what makes it for me is the "plan that seems utter nonsense" part, just the idea of this guy making the biggest and dumbest one in a million chance plans and always somehow working sounds like chaotic fun.

Also the small storage object that the character takes out random items sometimes bigger than the thing itself is always a fun gag, really reminds me of Doraemon or Wander.

(Also between the plans and the storage items with objects convenient for the occasion I'm getting some Milo Murphy vibes from CJ)(Bare in mind I've only seen clips of the show so might be wrong on this one)

Milo who had his dreams of becoming a comedian crushed by Vendetta's rules seeing as this guy comes out of nowhere and starts to make people laugh:

I like the fact that he is a bit socially awkward, between the saying stuff he didn't mean to say and losing all conversation skills when he runs out of ideas, it's a cute detail, also a bit of a parallel of Charlotte and how she also says everything that comes to her mind.

And speaking of parallels, I see what you did there with him getting really unlucky when it comes to Vendetta's attacks, and Milo on the contrary getting stupid lucky avoiding them.

"He has to make the most of it since he's not getting out of the town anytime soon, so he gets up and keeps on a smile for everyone and specially Charlotte's shake"

Oh this gave me a big mental image of a scene in the final episode, Clamburg completely destroyed, Milo (since you said he would be the Villain of S3) on a giant Fiend, CJ slowly walking towards them, no weapons, no plans, no nothing, and they keep getting hit by the Fiend but he always stands back and keeps walking towards them, no matter how bad ge gets, frustrated Milo yells "GIVE UP ALREADY! YOU'VE ALREADY LOST, WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO ACCOMPLISH?" with some trouble CJ responds "I c-can't give up, because I want, Ch-charlotte and everyone else to be happy" he finally passes out due to exhaustion, Milo looks around at the destroyed city, despite all the chaos, then he looks back at the small kid resting on the floor slowly breathing, he could order the fiend to give the final blow, to finally end everything once and for all, but what would that accomplish, after all he had already lost...

I genuinely doubt Milo's role as a Villain will end on something to this level, but the mental image of CJ always getting up because they won't give up on the future and Milo realizing he had become worse than Vendetta was too big.

(Also I'll admit it, the scene is a bit inspired by the end of Shin-Chan the Adult Empire strikes back, I'll clip the scene in a different post so you can see what I mean since Tumblr doesn't allow Videos on reblogs)

So anyway, yeah, I love CJ a lot, he has a great design, fun gimmicks and premises and I swear to god I need to know what you are planning to do with Him and Milo🩵🩵🩵💚💚💚

Also just for fun, I'm predicting his name as Charles Jones, Charles because it's the male equivalent to Charlotte and Jones because it rhymes with Charles

CJ Intro

CJ is a character that would be introduced in a hypothetical Season 3 of Making Fiends, as Charlotte's older brother who, unknowingly as to what's going on in Clamburg due to not receiving any letters or calls from his grandma or sister since Vendetta doesn't allow it outside of Clamburg, moved to Clamburg after finally being done with, according to Charlotte, "Space Camp".

CJ has the same happy and optimistic attitude that both of his other family members have, but unlike Charlotte, he's fully aware about Vendetta's intentions. Instead of telling her about it or trying to convince her of the truth, for the sake of Charlotte's fragile heart, he decided to play along with the situation, while making sure that everyone and especially Charlotte, survive Vendetta's traps.

He usually does this throughout coming up with some sorta plan, that usually seems like utter nonsense that won't work at first.

He keeps the most random of objects in his fanny pack, some useful others nonsensical. It's an ongoing gag that he pulls out objects out of it that wouldn't realistically fit into it, or the exact random object that is needed at that moment.

For the residents of Clamburg his arrival was first met with, "There's two of them now??" but eventually people grew to appreciate his efforts, making him well liked by almost everyone.

To lighten up the mood, he often says dad jokes and puns that are silly enough as to where they can at least put a smile on your face if nothing else. Sometimes he's also the "straight" man for whatever kinda shenanigans Charlotte is up to.

The main gag regarding his character is that he's a pretty normal guy reacting to this very weird town, who doesn't know any better besides just rolling with whatever new anomaly he sees today.

A giant red cat just casually sitting there? Alright I guess that's a thing now good to know.

His optimism is seemingly endless, he always finds at least something to be happy about no matter how bad the situation, but he never makes it up.

Still, not everything goes according to plan.

Not every joke lands.

He has a bit of a "saying things he didn't mean to say out loud out loud" problem.

Some social interactions can get pretty awkward when he runs out of ideas.

Vendetta obviously doesn't like him and subjects him to the things SHE finds funny out of spite since he's breaking the "No jokes." rule and probably many other rules. Usually him getting hurt in some way.

His luck generally ain't the best, he tends to get hurt on sheer accident, hence why he always has bandages on random areas of his body. Another gag would be that he gets hit with Vendetta's attacks even if they couldn't have logically hit him of all people in the room.

But, hey. He has to make the most of it since he's not getting out of the town anytime soon, so he gets up and keeps on a smile, for everyone's, and especially Charlotte's sake.

And now that he's finally here again, new hijinks shall ensue!
