What's your everyday makeup routine, your base looks flawless ma shaa Allah 💖
omg thank u 🥺🥺
skin all cleansed n prepped n moisturised then do my brows just fill n shape w a brow pencil I haven’t found a holy grail one I just alternate between diff nyx ones and the benefit one rly doesn’t make a difference to me tbh
then conceal around them if I can be bothered - with my foundation not my concealer
then colour correct (if I remember) w the orange LA girl corrector
then foundation, usually use the nars radiant longwear - I’m in the shade Punjab - or if I wanna go for a lighter base I use the ordinary serum foundation - I’m 2.0YG
blend it all using a sponge
then use concealer - I use the too faced one can’t rmr what shade but this is the best concealer I’ve used so far , I place it on and let it sit for a while before blending
do my bronzer / contour while I wait - use a L’Oréal cream contour thing and hoola bronzer on top
then blend out concealer w a sponge
then set concealer v v lightly (I hate using powder) with the glossier powder
then blush - my fav is a palette called hot spice by makeup revolution
then mascara - I use the maybelline lash sensational waterproof
then lips
then set it all with the pixi glow mist 🌟

Hey doll hey! Hope you are having a great day/night and that you are in good spirits, with as little pain as possible, and that you have plenty of spoons today. I’m having a pretty good day. My pain levels are somewhere in the middle range and I have a good deal of energy today. It’s cold here in Florida today and my body isn’t liking it, but it’s also not giving me too hard of a time. For today’s testing old makeup products I have chosen Tarte Poreless Mattifying Primer ($32 at Ulta), Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer ($28 at Ulta and Sephora), and Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation (Discontinued). I have also tested out the 2 newest ColourPop palettes that I hauled…. It’s My Pleasure ($12 on their website) and Lilac You A Lot ($12 on their website). As a side note…. for my brows I tried a newer to me technique. I tried the soap brow method and I have to say I really liked the way my brows came together today. Anyway, I’ll review all 5 products in Final Thoughts but for now let’s jump into the Face of the Day …..
Base: I primed my face using Tarte Poreless Mattifying Primer (). I color corrected using Pixi by Petra Correction Concentrate ($12 at Target) in the shade Brightening Peach. For foundation I am wearing Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation (Discontinued) in the shade Light Medium. I concealed my under eyes using Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer ($28 at Ulta, Sephora, and on their website) in the shade Light Medium. I set my face using Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder ($39 at Ulta or Sephora) in the shade Translucent and then warmed up my face using NYX Matte Bronzer ($10at Ulta) in the shade Deep Tan. I set my under eyes and baked my jaw line, center of forehead, and bridge of the nose using RCMA No Color Powder ($15 on the Beautylish website).
Eyes: I primed my lids using Tarte Shape Tape ($27 at Ulta) in the color Light-Medium Honey and set it using more of the Laura Mercier Loose Setting Powder. I first went in with the It’s My Pleasure Palette ($12 on the ColourPop website) and used the shade Kittenfishes (a cool lavender matte) as my 1st transition shade. I then popped over to the Lilac You A Lot Palette ($12 on the ColourPop website) and used the shade Imagine That (a pastel lavender matte) as my 2nd transition shade. For my crease I used the shade Iffy (a cool toned true purple matte) from the same palette. On my mobile lid I used the shade Wake Me (an orchard with a pink flip metallic) on the inner 1/3 and then switched back to the It’s My Pleasure Palette to use Chick Lit (a deep amethyst metallic) on the outer 1/3. I then went back to the Lilac You A Lot palette and used the shade Fluff (an icy violet with gold and silver reflect metallic) on the middle 1/3 to blend the inner and outer shades together. I then used a combo of the shade Filtered (a reddish plum matte) from this palette and Sleeper (a deep eggplant matte) from the other palette to deepen the crease a bit and on the outer v. On my lower lash line I first used the more of the shade Kittenfish and then the shade Iffy and then I deepened the lash line using more of Sleeper to create a smokey drop shadow. On the inner corners I used the shade Trainwreck (a soft lavender with a pink flip metallic) from the Lilac You A Lot palette to highlight them. I used the Soap Brow technique to set my brows using Neutrogena Original Fragrance-Free Gentle Facial Cleaning Bar ($1.97 at Walmart). I then filled in my brows using Benefit Precisely My Brow Pencil ($24 at Ulta) in the shade 4.5 and then carved out my brow line using BH Studio Pro Brow Highlighter Pencil ($5 on their website) on the matte side and set that with the shade Lucid (a pinkish nude matte) from the Kat Von D Shade and Light Contour Palette ($48 at Sephora). I lined my waterlines with the Revolution Pro Supreme Pigment Gel Eyeliner ($5 on their website) in the shade Nude. I primed my lashes with Loreal Voluminous Primer ($6.79 at Target) and then used Loreal Voluminous Carbon Black Mascara ($6.79 at Target).
Cheeks and Lips: For blush today I am using Loreal True Match Super Blendable Blush ($7.99 at Target and $11.99 at Ulta) in the shade W 3-4 Barely Blushing (a tanish peach satin). I highlighted the tops of my cheeks, bridge of the nose, Cupid’s Bow, and center of my forehead using BECCA Shimmering Skin Perfector Pressed ($22 at Sephora) in the shade Champagne Pop. I then used MAC Mineralize Skin Finish ($36 at Ulta and MAC) in the shade Medium Golden as a finishing powder to blend out all the edges of the blush, bronzer, and bake. I lined my lips with NYX Suede Matte Lip Liner ($4 at Ulta) in the shade Stockholm (a very pale peachy nude) and filled in the lips using Loreal Matte Lip Stain ($11.99 at Ulta) in the shade 418 Empower (a pale yellow toned peachy nude) and then I topped the lips off with NARS Lip Gloss ($24 at Sephora and on their website) in the shade Chihuahua (a light berry pinkish coral).
Final Thoughts: So the soap brow technique was so easy to do. My brows felt a little bit sticky but soon dried down and held my brows in place but they came out fluffier than when I use brow gel ….. I am thinking I may do this technique a lot more seeing as though I have very sparse brows.
The It’s My Pleasure and Lilac You A Lot palettes were so easy to work with. There was no patchiness or skipping, barely any kickback in the pans, and very little fallout on the face. Every shade I used was rich in pigment that did not muddy when buffed into each other. These palettes offer enough shade variation that you can get several distinctly different looks with each. I’m going to have so much fun with these 2 palettes this Spring, even though I don’t have separate colors that I use for the different seasons, I just use what I feel like using, when I feel like using it.
The Tarte Poreless Mattifying Primer ….. ugh the scent!!! I just can not get passed the scent of this thing. It’s the reason i almost never reach for it. I like that it really blurs the pores and smooths out the texture on my face…. but that scent is just so gross. I don’t even know how to explain how this stuff smells, it’s some where between burnt plastic and play-dough. I’m finding it hard pressed to keep using this product. It’s almost completely full and I just can’t bring myself to keep using it because of the scent. I know it’s almost $40 that I’ll be wasting but I am decluttering this one from my collection.
Too Faced Born This Way Naturally Radiant Concealer….. I freaking love this concealer so much. It’s a light weight consistency that builds up beautifully. I have the shade Light-Medium and it’s my perfect skin match…. I want to use this one up so I can repurchase it in the shade Light-Nude so that I can bring some light to the under eye area. I am most definitely keeping this concealer in my collection.
Stila Aqua Glow Serum Foundation…. I’d give this foundation a solid B-. It just doesn’t wow me anymore. It’s a very light weight serum foundation that leaves the face feeling a bit greasy. This foundation was discontinued and so even if it wowed my I wouldn’t be able to get my hands on it anyway. It looks pretty and is a light coverage foundation great for the Spring, but I just don’t like it enough to keep it in my collection. I have decluttered it.
Well that’s all dolls. Stay tuned tomorrow when I try out another 4 items from my older makeup stash to see if I liked it or if I will declutter it. I hope you have a great rest of your day/night and remember …. save a spoon for a bit of lipstick.
XOXO
Purple Smokey Eye Face of the Day Hey doll hey! Hope you are having a great day/night and that you are in good spirits, with as little pain as possible, and that you have plenty of spoons today.

I missed doing updates on my Rolling Project Pan so here’s the finale. I started with 10 products and as I finished things up I replaced them with others. In all I finished 22 items, have 2 stubborn ones and decluttered one. A job well done in my humble opinion. What type of project pans would you like me to do in 2018?
EMPTY
Lush’s Mint Julips is a lip scrub that I got as a sample. I found this really messy to use so I wouldn’t repurchase. It does OK at exfoliating the lips.
Paula’s Choice Resist Cellular Defence Daily Moisturizer SPF 25 was great on days I knew I would be outside for a long period of time. I didn’t get any tan or sunburn. I wouldn’t use this every day because after 3 days in a row I ended up with a couple pimples, which rarely happens to me.
Smashbox Photo Finish Primer is good, I just prefer the purple one that is pore filling.
Still one of my favourite moisturizers that doubles as a primer. Very excited that Shoppers Drug Mart is now carrying Embryollise Lait Creme Concentrate.
Embryollise Lait Creme Concentrate is one of my favourite moisturizers and can also double as a primer. I have a couple more to use and am relieved to hear you can now purchase this at Shoppers Drug Mart.
I loved this Quo Lip Oil that I bought on clearance for 99 cents. I’m hoping I can find it again because it’s much better than any solid lip balm I’ve ever used. There’s a bit still left but I got a cold sore and had to part with it. If you know of anything similar please let me know.
This is my go to brow product from Benefit Cosmetics. It’s the GimmeBrow! Unfortunately right now it is under recall because if it gets in your eye it causes irritation. I have never had an issue. I will get another one once they solve this issue.
I can’t get anymore highlighter out of Benefit’s High Beam. I was storing it upside down and got a bunch out that way, but there’s just no other way to empty it out. I used this as a mixer with foundation as well as sponged onto the high points of my cheekbones. The deluxe sample size is plenty big enough. I would never purchase the full size because it would go bad before I could use it up. Find a value set from Benefit to try out their products.
I highly recommend Magnifix Setting Spray from Lise Watier. Once I’m through my other sprays I would consider repurchasing. My makeup stayed on well.
It took me forever to use up this complexion pen No Dark Shadows. I used it to brighten my under eyes and highlight areas of my face. Twist up pens with brush tips aren’t my favourite tool but it’s a good product.
Olay Regenerist Wrinkle Revolution Complex wasn’t big enough for me to make a total decision on. It was nice and I’d use it again.
I’ve used up one of these deluxe sample of this Clinique Smart Custom Repair Serum before. My skin felt and looked good; I enjoyed the texture of the serum and would use it in the future, but I have serums I like better to spend my money on. There’s nothing bad about this serum so give it a try.
I have enjoyed the Ingenium Naturals Revita Purifying Citrus Cream. My skin was brighter, smoother and hydrated. I will be purchasing this again with my next affiliate promo order. https://www.ingeniumnaturals.com/?Click=1065 Here’s a one time use promo code for my followers: beauty15 (allowing for a 15% reduction on your purchases, as well as free shipping for all orders over 50$ USD
Neal’s Yard Remedy Frankincense Intense Lift Serum actually firms and lifts. It also smells great and left my skin feeling soft. When I’m in need of another serum this is high on my list to repurchase.
Lancome Creme Radiance Clarifying Cream-to-Foam Cleanser is for normal and combination skin. This has a very perfume scent that not everyone would like. I do not recommend this for someone with dry skin because it does clarify the skin and I think it would cause drying. My skin was squeaky clean for sure. The foaming action is fun. I need a more nourishing and hydrating cleanser now so this isn’t something I would repurchase, but I would use it again if it came my way. It removes makeup very well.
Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Mascara is one of my favourites. It just wear well, is easy to apply, and holds up in all weather.
I always use a toner and this one from Nivea did an OK job. It wasn’t anything super special so I wouldn’t go seek it out.
This Biotherm Moisturizer did not play well with my Smashbox pore filling primer, but it did hydrate. I would use this again but it didn’t wow me enough to go purchase.
I used Weleda’s Arnica Massage Oil on my legs and feet for hydration a couple times. The oil left (surprise) an oily residue on my skin that never soaked in.
I really liked this Maybelline Fit Me concealer. I would repurchase this. I used this for my under eyes and to cover redness.
This is a mini Smashbox Eye Shadow Trio in Filter. My goal was to hit pan in the vanilla shade and I did! I used this as a browbone highlight, all over the lid and sometimes to clean up if my eye shadow got too far out of bounds.
DECLUTTERED because the texture has changed and it’s really old. I don’t feel comfortable putting this on my eyes anymore although I did use up quite a bit.
Mary Kay @ Play Eye Crayon in Over The Taupe
This is all I have left to declutter of the MK Eye Crayon in Taupe.
STILL HANGING ON
Benefit Hello Flawless Pressed Powder Foundation value pack size
I am so close to finishing this powder. I did repress it into the center and have used it a few times as a powder foundation but I’m going to have to carry this over into 2018.
This is a SallyGirl eye shadow that I think has been discontinued. My goal was to hit pan but I’m still using it. There is a big dip though.
Some of these products have been sent to me free by PR companies for review and consideration. Some have been purchased by me.
