Zagreus is the god of rebirth/life, hunting, and blood.

Peitho is the goddess of persuasion, seduction and charming speech.

Woke up from a dead sleep to find Makaria hovering above me.

Mak, I say. It's the middle of the fucking night.

And my beloved Ghost who does not need to sleep just continues to hover there. So I get up to give her a closer examination, see if she's okay.

She has a tiny scratch on one of her left arms. That's literally the issue.

This Ghost woke me up from a dead sleep for this.

Ugh, going back to bed. It's lucky I bought some Steel restorer last week - remind me to make a post about the overlap between Steel type and Ghost type care at some point.

According to Greek mythology, Persephone became pregnant when Zeus deceived and seduced her by taking Hades’ form as his guise. Other accounts said Zeus took the form of an earthly dragon when he came to the queen of the underworld. Accordingly, Hades’ children were Macaria, Melinoe [Hecate] and Zagreus.

The first time Zeus seduced Persephone, (sometimes the goddess of spring), he did so in the form of a serpentine dragon. She bore him a son, the god Zagreos, who was the first instantiation of Dionysus.

Persephone was seduced by Zeus when he took the shape of her abductor/husband, Hades. Zeus took Hades’ form to conceive Melinoe on Persephone or at least this is one of the many versions of the story.

Zagreus was a minor god in Greek mythology, usually conflated with the god of wine, Dionysus. He was worshipped by the followers of Orpheus, and according to their beliefs, he was the son of Zeus and Persephone, after the former took the form of a serpent and lay with her. Zeus' intentions were for Zagreus to succeed him in the throne, but Hera, who was furious for her husband's infidelity, asked the Titans to kill the boy. While Zagreus was playing with his toys, the Titans tried to capture him; he evaded them by taking various animal forms; he eventually took the form of a bull before the Titans seized him, killed him and ate him. The myth continues with Zeus realising what happened and striking the Titans with a thunderbolt; the Titans were instantly turned to ashes. From these ashes, which were a mixture of the vile bodies of the Titans and the holy body of Zagreus, arose the humans, thus explaining why they are both good and evil; each individual containing a bit of both kindness and evilness. Persephone managed to find Zagreus' heart, which was still beating, and Zeus placed it into the body of the mortal woman Semele. Semele gave birth to Zagreus again but this time as Dionysus.
