#fields of asphodel if #asphodelgame #c: lysius #replayed the whole thing now that i have a better grasp on the personality andddd whew #trying to tell zeus off #crying while leaving olympus #“i want to be of use to someone”#straight up burning demeter's letters #the “someone chose me” scene when receiving hera #the manic laughter when dancing with hades #a slightly different relationship with hermes which means the frantic attachment to hades is even more obvious #thinking hard about lysius suddenly realizing he can't go back to olympus and feel like That again so that's why he throws everything #at hades all of a sudden it's a desperate act to tie himself to this new sense of freedom and stay in the underworld #hades obvs isn't reciprocating right away and so lys gets worried and backs off and slightly spirals but that's also when his independence #starts forming like he has a real position and real friends and isn't locked in his room 24/7 and isn't being treated like a trophy anymore #and he emerges with this new sense of self and realizes that his worth doesn't come from association with demeter/hermes/hades #only then does the romance actually progress and an ACTUALLY confident and comfortable in their skin lys starts to fall in love with hades #hades who gave him the space and opportunity and support to realize himself without asking for anything in return #i love them your honour #*edits
