He was silent for a minute and then you heard a sigh. "You drive a hard bargain for an Omega, as always." he said impressed and you chuckled. "And you are a pushover Fergus, as always." He laughed on the other side of the line. "See you next time, miss L/N." "Till next time, mister Macleod." and you hung up.

As you looked outside, it had started to rain. 15 Minutes later you arrived home, which was in one of the nicest penthouse flats in the city. Basically, each floor was one apartment. It was a courtesy of the agency you worked for since you worked nearly 24/7.

Even with the bad picture you knew that those 27 you'd be able to bid to your clients. You looked once more to your maybe list and one alpha caught your eye. Shiro swears by his sword and his love for Keith. He would return to his mate no matter what.

The King was confident that Shiro wouldn't came back alive. He was proven wrong when the word was sent that the stubborn and persistent knight led the previously losing army front to victory.

Suddenly enraged, the King took out his anger on his once favorite toy...

The King soon grew tired of tormenting Keith. He left the merman to die with barely enough water to survive and locked him up deep in the castle dungeons.

He could always replace the creature with something else. One far more beautiful and rare, the King thought.

A weary Shiro comes back, an arm missing and with more scars littering his body, only to find his lover half-dead inside the castle dungeons.

Livid beyond belief, the knight goes mad with rage and storms out of the castle with his beloved, cutting down anyone who dare stop him.

Guard after guard fell with just one slash from the Champion.

Blood spilled from his newly manifested arm, made of shadows and dripping with malice, a cursed arm. His other one, natural and human-like, craddled his mate protectively. His lover who laid still, cold and limp.

That day, as the Dark Champion disappeared through the night, the once prosperous kingdom fell into ruin. A curse befell the King and his people. Numerous plagues, droughts, and famine destroyed the city.

News travelled far and travelled fast. Soon, the disgraced kingdom became a taboo people did not speak of. The people stayed away from the place in fear of being cursed as well. Eventually, it was forgotten and erased from the maps.

As for the knight and his merman...

No one ever knew what happened to them after. Nobody ever saw them again.

Some say the knight killed himself in grief. While others thought that the curse swallowed them up as well. Some hoped that they somehow survived and found peace somewhere...

NOTES: Wooot, this turned dark real quick... bad writting fingers, bad! Sorry about that... Kinda don't know how to finish it.

It’s interesting to see just how relatively quiet the gated community on a Friday night. She notes how some of the houses, the castle-like mansions, still have the lights on. Some have bicycles, skateboards, rollerblades and what have you on the front lawn, she can hear dogs barking and children playing happily. Waverly wonders how what an average day looks like in the lives of the residents.

She wonders if she’ll ever have a life like them and in the back of her mind, she wonders if she’ll ever be in this position again.

When they arrive the first thing Waverly looks to is her jeep, her precious cherry red jeep with all its scratches and dents. In a few short hours she’ll back behind the wheel with her duffel bag in the backseat, driving out of the gated community and to her ordinary, simple life.

Waverly nods, not saying a word.

“I’m glad you did.” Nicole takes it for what it is as they get out of the car. Everything that follows afterward is very rigid and mechanical.

“We have an announcement,” He paused for suspense, Finn rolling his eyes as he took mugs from the cupboard.

“We're moving out!” the two crowed simultaneously but to their chagrin, the three barely reacted.

Archie nodded with a murmured, ‘sweet’ while Chloe beamed encouragingly before inspecting her nails. Their exuberance faded as Finn focused on setting the table, his response little more than a grunt. Izzy seemed to sink before putting her hands on her hips.
