I was listening to the WanPre album and Komugi’s song reminded me of the Maho Girls intro, so I edit a bunch of clips over it

I heard something interesting from the Japanese side of the fandom about the initial trailer for the Wonderful PreCure! film that's coming out in September.

Towards the end, they say this line:

さらに素敵なお友達の出番です!っていいました？！ "Sara ni sutekina otomodachi no deban desu! tte iimashita?!" "Did you just say, 'It's time for even more wonderful friends'?!"

And that's notable because 出番, deban, comes from part of Sora/Cure Sky's catchphrase, ヒーローの出番です!, Hero no deban desu!, or officially translated as "It's hero time!," and っていいました？！, tte iimashita?!, or "Did you just say [x]?!" is a quoting particle Mirai/Cure Magical commonly uses. I've posted a video comparison, and if you're familiar with HiroPre and MahoPre, you'll know that Sora and Mirai frequently say their respective phrases throughout their seasons.

So what does this mean exactly? It could mean that the upcoming WonPre film will be another crossover one, like the HealPre and TroPre films were, only this time, the crossover will be with HiroPre and MahoPre. HiroPre makes sense, as that season didn't get it's own primary film due to All Stars F last year taking its theatrical place for the 20th anniversary, and MahoPre is likely represented to promote the upcoming adult sequel...whenever that comes out.

checked the new press release for mirai days and... what is HAPPENING with this shows production?

was clearly supposed to be this summer, got delayed, and the VAs dont even know the story yet... i feel like theres some manner of conflict over the story in the background if the leads dont know the plot 7 months out from airing... super weird

i think Sailor Moon's monsters tend to be more iconic than, for example, Precure monsters because you really can't go wrong with the hot lady+object/concept formula. like "cunty jigsaw puzzle catgirl" is just guaranteed to be a banger no matter what. but Precure monsters generally have to be large-scale and not humanoid because it's just better for the show's emphasis on physical combat and powerful punches and kicks -- you want to see those girls knock a modestly sized kaiju across a football field and you don't want the second graders in the audience to have to grapple with the implication of the Cures killing what seem to be sentient people, unless they're finishing off a midseason miniboss who is probably getting "purified" instead of killed anyway

Today, Crunchyroll randomly dropped Go! Princess Pretty Cure and Mahotsukai Pretty Cure! on their streaming service. All episodes are now available to watch. I can only speak for the North American territory, so I'm not sure if it's available in other territories too.

This is the first time Crunchyroll has licensed a past season of Pretty Cure since Kira Kira Pretty Cure a La Mode a few years ago, so it seems that they and Toei are finally returning to the backlog. Wonderful news!
