I've been seeing people wanting a big fight between the riordenverse protags (Percy, Jason, Magnus, and Carter(and maybe Sadie)). Thing is though, if you threw a brick at Jason he would go down immediately. If there's water near Percy and the Kane's are going to be fighting for a while. And Magnus's only power is that he is a glow stick with a handkerchief boat and a disco sword. He's just going to say "Jack fight them!" throw him and then sit off to the side drinking a Caprisun.

I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone talk about the parallels between Annabeth and Magnus’ parents. Like the goddess of war strategy and the god of peace? Greek virgin goddess and Norse god of male fertility? Literally Annabeth and Magnus should oppose each other on paper but in reality they’re the only Chases NOT doing that.

Imagine Percy Jackson is fighting something or other and is mostly alone other than whoever it is he's trying to protect, and dies. He slips up, something goes wrong, he's bested and is killed in battle. In his last moments he sad about his family and how he won't get to watch his sister grow up, but a small part of him is relieved that he will no longer have to help the gods, another pawn in their game. He'll finally see all of the friends he lost and get to live in the paradise that is Elysium.

He dies.

He wakes up in Valhalla.

Even in death he is expected to fight as a pawn for gods.

Maybe he throws a fit, maybe he calls up his old pal Nico Di Angelo. Maybe he meets up with Magnus chase. The possibilities are endless.
