i used to have this coworker who would spend her entire shift in phone calls. like, personal ones, not for work. we worked at a museum, and she would always have a bluetooth earbud in, and on the other end of that earbud was a person. almost everyone knew this, because she would pick discreet times to verbally respond, like lunch breaks, but also quiet moments in transit between stations or during the films we would play for visitors. she did her job perfectly fine, was a manager and everything, and she obviously never spoke aloud to this person where our supervisors could hear. i didn't really care that she was doing this because who give a shit, but it still annoyed me a little, because sometimes she would say something and i'd go "what?" and it would turn out she'd been talking to her mysterious caller instead, and then i'd feel like an idiot.

anyway i think that's how dorian pavus is as a magister
