On the ass end of a five day bender, Number Four could barely hold himself upright. Thankfully, his sister had come to find him--crumpled in an alleyway, looking like death, but still breathing. The bags under his eyes, the gaunt cheeks, the way his bones stuck out--they told what sort of life he was living, these days. One in which he would choose substances over sleep, food, and shelter.

Currently, Klaus found himself slumped in a booth at Griddy's. A classic "sober up" spot for him, historically. Diego, Willow, even Allison had taken him here before, giving him a talk about getting clean, before he inevitably went back to his ways. But Willow's words slowly seeped into the mush that currently made up his brain. Not harsh, not angry, but sad. Klaus would've rather her be angry.

"Nah, like three Percocets'll do the trick," he slurred, clumsily stirring sugar into his coffee. "Then I'll be outta your hair..." Though life had been rough since leaving the academy, Klaus had missed his siblings dearly. Especially shy little Willow.

It had been 150 years since she died, and Kate had long since decided that her soul would never be truly at peace. Already climbing out the open window, Klaus laughed. "So you will, if I do it first, heard that," he joked back, purposefully misinterpreting it.

Though he had the grace of a newborn lamb, Klaus managed to sit himself on the edge of the fire escape. "Okay, ground rules," he said, his tone more serious. "The dumpster is five points, the far wall is ten. The stop sign is worth like fifty, because I can't throw that far. If it hits the ground, zero. Unless it breaks in a cool way, then maybe two."

"Come on, you beautiful bastard, show yourself!"

Cross legged in a circle of candles, Klaus Hargreeves held court with the dead. Or, he was trying to. Beer cans and liquor bottles littered the attic floor around his circle, flickering in the candlelight. Another handle of vodka, half empty, sat beside him, the source of his ghostly dysfunction. But Klaus hadn't planned on summoning a ghost tonight--rarely ever, in fact.

After far too many drinks, Klaus has decided it was time to practice his powers. Five and Luther always got on him about training, since they were kids. Emotionally stunted by sixteen, Klaus had rarely taken the time to purposefully use his powers. The ghost-vision was always on, until he drowned it out with drugs and booze, but who knew what he could do when he was trying.

Unfortunately, what had fueled this motivation was also his power's undoing. The only spector to show up clearly was Ben. His dead brother watched skeptically, leaned against the windowsill nearby.

"This isn't going to work," Ben pointed out, decidedly unhelpful.

"Yeah, I heard you the first five times, Benny," Klaus shot back, glaring back at him. "Are you gonna make yourself useful, or are you too comfortable in the Peanut Gallery?"

"Oh, warm and cozy." But the sarcastic smile quickly dropped, eyebrows raising at something behind Klaus. "You've got a visitor."

An excellent video demonstrating the ways in which J. K. Rowling writes mystery. This has reawakened my love for mystery fiction, which can be spread into many different genres! It helps that I am currently rereading the Harry Potter series and marvelling at how innocuously Rowling places clues inside the narrative.

A while back, I started a fic that put Willow into the Umbrella Academy canon. And when I say a while back, I mean a while back. Like, pre Viktor transition arc.

What I think I'm gonna do is completely start over. That way, I can include other OCs as well, and don't have to worry about what to do with Viktor's transition since the original fic includes his deadname and old pronouns.

A few things to note:

The current bio for Willow is pretty old, so I'll most likely redo it

Along with her, I'll also be including Cherry and Wendla. I don't think I'll be including Levi to keep the numbers consistent (and because of how similar his powers are to Sloane), but he's not going anywhere as far as RP is concerned.

There will eventually be season 4 related OCs introduced, but I'm not done making them yet

I may end up including some of my plot bunnies, or I may give them their own fics, maybe both? Idk yet

This will most likely end up crossing over with The Magnolia Academy and The Obsidian Academy

By the nature of this fic being "what if my OCs were canon," there will be spoilers for all four seasons!

Speaking of spoilers, I'll be leaving my posts of what my OCs would be doing in different seasons up for RP purposes. They'll all be under a cut and/or on a separate Google doc, though

That being said, there will be certain plot points I'll be tweaking or outright ignoring. I'm not gonna say all of them here bc that'd spoil the fic, but these include removing That Scene™ with Allison and Luther from season 3, removing the whole Allison and Luther incest thing, removing the Five and Lila bullshit from season 4, Viktor being a trans guy from the getgo, and revisiting some characters that the show forgot about

Since it's gonna go from just inserting Willow to inserting other OCs as well, I'll probably end up changing the title. Not sure what it'll be yet tho

Tldr: gonna be completely revamping an old tua oc fic of mine, more details to come!
