For Talia has certain awakening talents of the mind that only a Companion like Rolan can truly sense. But as Talia struggles to master her unique abilities, time is running out. For conspiracy is brewing in Valdemar, a deadly treason that could destroy Queen and kingdom. The Memoirs of Lady Trent by Marie Brennan (2013-2019)
You, dear reader, continue at your own risk. It is not for the faint of heart--no more so than the study of dragons itself. But such study offers rewards beyond compare: to stand in a dragon's presence, even for the briefest of moments--even at the risk of one's life--is a delight that, once experienced, can never be forgotten. . . .
All the world, from Scirland to the farthest reaches of Eriga, know Isabella, Lady Trent, to be the world's preeminent dragon naturalist. She is the remarkable woman who brought the study of dragons out of the misty shadows of myth and misunderstanding into the clear light of modern science. But before she became the illustrious figure we know today, there was a bookish young woman whose passion for learning, natural history, and, yes, dragons defied the stifling conventions of her day.
Here at last, in her own words, is the true story of a pioneering spirit who risked her reputation, her prospects, and her fragile flesh and bone to satisfy her scientific curiosity; of how she sought true love and happiness despite her lamentable eccentricities; and of her thrilling expedition to the perilous mountains of Vystrana, where she made the first of many historic discoveries that would change the world forever.
Entwined by Heather Dixon Wallwork (2011)
Just when Azalea should feel that everything is before her—beautiful gowns, dashing suitors, balls filled with dancing—it's taken away. All of it. And Azalea is trapped. The Keeper understands. He's trapped, too, held for centuries within the walls of the palace. So he extends an invitation.
Every night, Azalea and her eleven sisters may step through the enchanted passage in their room to dance in his silver forest, but there is a cost. The Keeper likes to keep things. Azalea may not realize how tangled she is in his web until it is too late.
Akata Witch by Nnedi Okorafor (2011-2022)
Twelve-year-old Sunny lives in Nigeria, but she was born American. Her features are African, but she's albino. She's a terrific athlete, but can't go out into the sun to play soccer. There seems to be no place where she fits in. And then she discovers something amazing--she is a free agent with latent magical power. Soon she's part of a quartet of magic students, studying the visible and invisible, learning to change reality. But will it be enough to help them when they are asked to catch a career criminal who knows magic too?
Serafina by Robert Beatty (2015-2019)
Serafina has never had a reason to disobey her pa and venture beyond the grounds of the Biltmore estate. There's plenty to explore in her grand home, although she must take care to never be seen. None of the rich folk upstairs know that Serafina exists; she and her pa, the estate's maintenance man, have secretly lived in the basement for as long as Serafina can remember.
But when children at the estate start disappearing, only Serafina knows who the culprit is: a terrifying man in a black cloak who stalks Biltmore's corridors at night. Following her own harrowing escape, Serafina risks everything by joining forces with Braeden Vanderbilt, the young nephew of the Biltmore's owners. Braeden and Serafina must uncover the Man in the Black Cloak's true identity before all of the children vanish one by one.
Serafina's hunt leads her into the very forest that she has been taught to fear. There she discovers a forgotten legacy of magic, one that is bound to her own identity. In order to save the children of Biltmore, Serafina must seek the answers that will unlock the puzzle of her past.
The Children of the Red King by Jenny Nimmo (2002-2009)
The fabulous powers of the Red King were passed down through his descendants, after turning up quite unexpectedly, in someone who had no idea where they came from. This is what happened to Charlie Bone, and to some of the children he met behind the grim, gray walls of Bloor's Academy.
His scheming aunts decide to send him to Bloor Academy, a school for geniuses where he uses his gifts to discover the truth despite all the dangers that lie ahead.
Fairyland by Catherynne M. Valente (2011-2016)
Twelve-year-old September lives in Omaha, and used to have an ordinary life, until her father went to war and her mother went to work. One day, September is met at her kitchen window by a Green Wind (taking the form of a gentleman in a green jacket), who invites her on an adventure, implying that her help is needed in Fairyland. The new Marquess is unpredictable and fickle, and also not much older than September. Only September can retrieve a talisman the Marquess wants from the enchanted woods, and if she doesn't . . . then the Marquess will make life impossible for the inhabitants of Fairyland. September is already making new friends, including a book-loving Wyvern and a mysterious boy named Saturday.
World of the Five Gods by Lois McMaster Bujold (2001-2005)
Lord Cazaril has been in turn courier, courtier, castle-warder, and captain; now he is but a crippled ex-galley slave seeking nothing more than a menial job in the kitchens of the Dowager Provincara, the noble patroness of his youth. But Fortunes wheel continues to turn for Cazaril, and he finds himself promoted immediately to the exalted and dangerous position of secretary-tutor to the Iselle, the beautiful, fiery sister of the heir to Chalion’s throne.
Amidst the decaying splendour and poisonous intrigue of Chalion’s ancient capital, Cardegoss, Cazaril is forced to encounter both old enemies and surprising allies, as he seeks to lift the curse of misfortune that clings to the royal family of Chalion, and to all who come too close to them...
Keys to the Kingdom by Garth Nix (2003-2010)
Arthur Penhaligon's first days at his new school don't go too well, particularly when a fiendish Mister Monday appears, gives Arthur a magical clock hand, and then orders his gang of dog-faced goons to chase Arthur around and get it back. But when the confused and curious boy discovers that a mysterious virus is spreading through town, he decides to enter an otherworldly house to stop it. After meeting Suzy Blue and the first part of "the Will" (a frog-looking entity that knows everything about the House), Arthur learns that he's been selected as Rightful Heir to the House and must get the other part of the clock hand in order to defeat Monday. That means getting past Monday's henchmen and journeying to the Dayroom itself. Thankfully, Arthur is up to the challenge, but as he finds out, his fight seems to be only one-seventh over.
The Riyria Chronicles by Michael J. Sullivan (2013-present)
Hadrian Blackwater, a warrior with nothing to fight for, is paired with Royce Melborn, a thieving assassin with nothing to lose. Hired by an old wizard, they must steal a treasure that no one can reach. The Crown Tower is the impregnable remains of the grandest fortress ever built and home to the realm's most prized possessions. But it isn't gold or jewels that the wizard is after, and if he can just keep them from killing each other, they just might succeed.

Ok so...I have four OCs (technically)
Tumblr media
Karma,Mogu,Aqua and of course Lunnar
Their design is not 100% yet so they may undergo some changes in the future
And also, my English and my attention is shit, so if there is something weird, let me know and I will fix it
Tumblr media
You are already used to Lunna and she needs no introduction
Your favorite ghost XD
Tumblr media
Aqua (My little fishboy 🦈)
He would be something like Lunna's best (and probably the only from her perspective) friend and he may seem a bit serious but is a sweetheart
He likes ghost stories and supernatural things in general, he also likes places with lakes, rivers, etc...also he's almost like a cat lady lol
Fun fact:Aqua doesn't know yet, but he is one of several reincarnations of a dragon
Tumblr media
Mogu (A Sakura spirit)
She's like a rescued pet for Lunna lol
Ok, ok, ok, jokes aside,in fact she was rescued by Lunna but, despite being close, I doubt that Lunna sees her as a friend
She is kind of uninterested in the world or just lazy but she can get quite excited when it comes to her tree, mushrooms or music(more like she sings)
She's probably the weakest in terms of power on the quartet due to an incident in the past,so when she leaves she's always accompanied (most by Karma)
She is an idol...or a singer...I don't know yet 🫠
Also, apirits are born from feelings, legends, abstract concepts that I don't know how to define 🫠...Anyway!And many of those who formed Mogu are related to beauty,admiration,attention...so she is a little humm...noting modest
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Karma,Bad luck,Jinx (he doesn't have a name)
The bad luck spirit that is like Lunnar's big brother or uncle (Although she never agreed with tht definition)
For being a big Ner-I MEAN...A knowledge appreciator,he had a friendship with the moon (night, darkness, she doesn't have a name either) spirit who was Lunna's "stepmother" that's why the brother/uncle relationship
Most of the time he's a spirit without form, but it is more common see him as a cat or a mouse. He only started using a "human" appearance when Lunnar asked him to take care of Mogu and help her
Sometimes he seems to know more than he lets on about the moon spirit disappearance
Also, I like to say that there is something happening between Mogu And him, if you know what I mean ewe
Tumblr media
I'm going to take this opportunity to drop a totally random fact about "Lunna's world" XD
So, I think you've probably noticed that in Halloween art, in the background, you can see the Earth, right?Well, that's because Lunna and her gang (except Aqua and sometimes Karma) actually lives on a "magical forest" on the moon 🙃
Yep,you heard right XD
Maybe I'll change this in the future (or not) but for now...It's a long story
So...who is your favorite character?🥹

Some quotes:
「しゃ…しゃべる猫...!?」
She flushes with embarrassment. "Pardon me, I tend to get carried away when talking about history…"
She puts her face in her hands and sighs heavily, bordering on despairingly. "They are my friends, but…how could they be this stupid?!" — "Grim not having the foresight and being too cocky to anticipate this I could see coming. But the other two…!" She puts her face in her hands again and muffles a faint scream. "Sometimes it feels like I'm the only one in our quartet who does not occasionally just turn my brain off!" She slowly removes her hands and turns her face up to the ceiling, taking several long, deep breaths. "Now…let's try to find a way to fix this. Luckily, I know how men like that 高利貸し operate."
One day at Tokyo international airport, a newly hired businessman named Takahiro Sakurada, returning from his first work overseas, made eye-contact with a very pretty stewardess he remembered from his flight, Hanae…and then proceeded to miss the step-off of his escalator, while trying to steady himself somehow ending up doing some type of a flip before ending up on his back, legs up in the air against a wall, blowing his tie out of his eyes. Upon seeing this, Hanae began laughing uncontrollably nearby. Because of their jobs, they ended up meeting each other like that at airports quite often, and Takahiro eventually asked Hanae out on a date, and the rest is history. Eventually they married and had Tomoe, three years later followed by her younger sister Sachie and three years after that, younger brother Kouta. They ended up deciding on an arrangement where Takahiro would work as normal, just taking less international flights if possible, and Hanae would be a stay-at-home mother with the kids during the school months, and then take up her air stewardess job again during summer vacation, upon which the kids would stay with their paternal grandparents in a small, rural country-side farming village in the mountains. And when they were home with their parents like usual, they lived in a still quite small village right by the sea, and Tomoe, Sachie and Kouta would walk for 20 minutes to get to the train station, and then take a 30-minute train ride to the city where they went to school, then walk for 10 more minutes to reach the school from the train station.
Tomoe had always been a momma's girl, and looked up to her mother a lot. In Tomoe's opinion— and also in the opinion of her father— her mother was the most beautiful woman she'd ever seen. She was also incredibly kind, a hard worker, dependable, patient, accepting and an exceptionally loving mother. She's always wanted to be like her mother. Some of her favorite time with her mother was when they would cook together, . She also has many fond memories of times when Tomoe had forgotten to make lunch, only for her mother to hand her a bento as she was about to rush out the door, or kiss her hands if she got a paper-cut to 'kiss the boo-boo away'. She still did those things even after Tomoe had become an adult, saying she would always be her little girl. It usually made her a little bit bashful the older she got, but she liked it, still being spoiled a bit and treated like a kid by her mom even though she was supposed to be a responsible adult by that point. Her father had always been a little bit eccentric, a bit of a goofball with a love for stereotypical dad jokes, rhymes and wordplay that the whole family always said, but he never quite admitted, was very bad. He's a little bit clumsy, a little bit incomptetent, with a very big heart. As well as a bit of a scatterbrain who can get very worked up about small things, with a tendency to overdramatize, which paired well with her mother's more level head and calm, objective approach to life. Some of Tomoe's fondest memories of him are of him making up very strange reasons to try to scare them into doing things like brushing their teeth or always holding a parent's hand while crossing the road. Once he made up a story that if they're not pulled out, baby teeth eventually have baby teeth of their own, so if Tomoe and her siblings didn't get rid of them their mouths would be covered in tiny itty-bitty teeth. He was however very good at numbers, finance, and money in general, and to try to teach his kids to also be better about it he'd do things like make them sign contracts to go take out the trash in return for ice-cream, and sometimes he'd hide some strange things in the terms and conditions, and when they'd signed it he'd show them the thing he added and tell them that since he's their dad he'll be nice and let them off the hook, but to always be careful and think before signing something, especially if it appears too good to be true. And ALWAYS. READ. C O N T R A C T S.
Tomoe absolutely loves her family, and she and her siblings have always been really close. Her sister Sachie had always been the human firework of the family. She had endless energy and the attention span of a puppy, and their grandfather sometimes joked about not having a remote to turn down her volume. When she found something new she thought was exciting, she devoted her entire life, every single moment to it, lived and breathed it…fooor about a month. After which she found something new and started the process all over again. She had a lot of friends and loved talking to people. And in stark contrast, Kouta had always been the quiet one who preferred spending time to himself. He got tired by social interaction, was the first of the children to ask for his own room, had generally always liked being alone and was quite shy. He didn't speak a lot and had a face that stayed mostly stoic. though he spoke so little, the things he did say were always heard by the rest of the family, and they made sure to always include him, but also give him a choice of whether or not he wanted to join them, and let him know he could change his mind at any time. At family gatherings he usually preferred to sit in a corner listening to something or other on his headphones. He loved their grandmother most of all and usually always clung to her when he was little. He had always loved soccer, and could usually be found practicing by himself. He was part of a nearby soccer team, and whenever his team won a match he'd always blush and smile bashfully. For each child's birthday, they had a tradition of renting a hotel room in Tokyo for a day or two to go shopping, go to a theme park, watch movies or eat sweets and junk food. Since Tomoe's birthday coincides with the New Year— Shōgatsu— during her birthday trip she always chose to go to the biggest Shōgatsu celebration in Tokyo. She loved dressing up in a pretty kimono, eating hanami dango, candied apples and taiyaki, visiting a temple, and having fun with the people she loves. Watching the fireworks, it always felt like they were specifically for her, for her birthday. They'd arrive at around 23:30 on the last day of December, then celebrating the new year, watching the year's first sunrise together, then going to a temple to ring out the old year, then all eat pancakes for breakfast, still wearing their New Year's kimonos with fur lining.
If anyone in the family ever fought with each other, it was usually Tomoe and Sachie, what with how opposite their personalities are. Tomoe had always valued following the rules, being polite, neat and tidy, and being meticulous. And Sachie always just raced off at top speed towards anything she liked and spoke to everyone casually, not caring for rules much and being bad at cleaning up after herself. When it was just Tomoe, Sachie and Kouta, Tomoe was left in charge, and once while they were together at a summer Fireworks festival, Tomoe literally had to tie a ribbon between her and Sachie's wrists to make sure Sachie didn't run away. She got pretty upset about that and was mad at Tomoe almost the entire time, asking why Kouta didn't also have a ribbon on his wrist, and Tomoe replied 'because Kouta is well-behaved'. They fought sometimes, but they never formally made up, since they as siblings knew each other well enough to realize that fighting sometimes was just how things went between them. Well, they only formally made up if the argument they'd gotten in had been bad enough, at the behest of their parents or grandparents. And they always knew the other loved them.
She'd always loved hearing stories about things that happened long, long ago. As a child, she'd often beg her grandfather to tell her stories about when his father and mother both worked as doctors in World War II, and loved listening to her grandmother describe what things were like when she was little. She thought all the old people in her town were so cool because of all the things they knew and how much stuff they'd done over the years, and how much they'd seen which she hadn't. Which is why as soon as she started going to school and learning history, she absolutely fell in love with the entire subject. It boggled her tiny mind that there was so much she didn't know that people had done before she was even born. So many people's stories, all weaving together to form a tapestry of the world. Her history teacher, a half-Japanese, half Mexican man named Mr. Cabello— a large burly man with a full beard— was her favorite teacher, and the clear passion he had for his subject as well as his sense of humor always made her even more interested to keep learning more about history. He was her inspiration for wanting to be a history teacher in the first place.
She was part of a group of a total of four friends, with three other people besides her. When she was 6, on the first day she started school, two girls came up to her to introduce themselves, since they noticed she was alone at recess. Well, more like one of them charged over to her and the other trailed along behind the other one. The one who approached her first was very friendly and held out her hand to introduce herself as Tooru Yamato, and the other as Kaede Okazaki. Kaede and Tooru had known each other their entire lives, since they lived right next to each other, and their families had become friends before they were born. So they were practically raised together, and always went to the same school, ever since the first day of kindergarten. The three of them became friends, with Tooru acting somewhat as the leader, with her very open, unashamed and straightforward personality. But she could become a bit too fired up and eccentric at times, which is when Kaede would pull her away before she embarrassed herself too much. She also had very big plans, but wasn't always very responsible, which Tomoe told her wouldn't do if she really wanted to 'become an astronaut' like she'd always talked about. Kaede was the youngest, born on December 30th at the end of the year, technically 363 days after Tomoe, and was always very laid back and casual about everything, often bringing up funny ideas that she knew Tooru would think sounded awesome and wanna do right that instant, just because she thought seeing Tooru excited was nice. And also kinda funny due to the extreme lengths she'd sometimes go to in order to do those things, all of which Kaede had prevented from becoming even more extreme. And Tomoe was often the ones who scolded them when both of them got a bit too wrapped up in their fun. She was often the voice of reason, but, to her resigned acceptance, 'the baby of the group. All due to her being the shortest and having been really shy as a child when they'd first met, which she'd long since outgrown. But she didn't mind it too much. She just knew it meant they cared a lot about her. Then when they were 12, their school got a transfer student from Tokyo. So they met the final member of their group: Miki Uehara. They started hanging out when one day, Tooru charged over and in her usual loud tone of voice asked Miki an endless barrage of questions, introducing both herself as well as Kaede and Tomoe. Kaede had to rein her in again, and Tomoe apologized for her rudeness. After school that day, since Tomoe was going home with Kaede and Tooru to hang out, they asked if Miki wanted to come with, and Tomoe said they could show her around the city, since she'd only just arrived a day or two ago, and she accepted, acting like she didn't have anything to do anyway. But Tomoe noticed she seemed a bit excited. Miki was a bit of an ice queen with a prickly attitude who always seemed to be looking down on everyone else. She was the type who acted like most things were stupid, but did secretly care. She was very into fashion, following many really expensive fashion magazines religiously, and also loved taking glamour shots of herself, which Tooru and Kaede loved photobombing. Miki acted annoyed, but kept each and every single one. They all made a promise that when in the future they had families of their own— because Tomoe wanted to be a mother and might consider adopting a child on her own if she didn't marry anyone, and Tooru said she was going to adopt at least 5 pets— they would all remain close and let their children play together.
Years passed, and eventually, the time drew closer to the end of High School and her and her friends' graduation. They had all applied to schools they wanted to attend after graduation, and they would receive replies sometime during the break. Tomoe was looking forward to graduating, although it would also feel a bit sad. Their lives would all change forever, and they'd become adults. The end of school was a bittersweet feeling, but they were all looking forward to what the future would bring, and to keep sharing their lives with each other even though they went on separate tracks. Tooru said she was going to be an astronaut, with studying business marketing as a second choice and starting her own marketing company. Miki was going to try to get into a school focused on fashion design and marketing. Kaede was going to take a year off to think about what she wanted to do. And Tomoe— of course— was going to continue her studies of history and anthropology and get a teaching degree. And they all promised to stay in touch, to call and text every day and update each other on what was happening in their lives. And, like they always had, they'd go to summer firework festivals together.
Some miscellaneous info about her:
She's very responsible, and as an oldest sibling, used to being in charge of people less emotionally mature than her. This often makes it so that when she's around someone younger than her, or someone who ACTS younger, she has a tendency to slip into 'mom' mode.
She's VERY smart, though she doesn't often display it openly, as she leans quite heavily into the Japanese societal rules of politeness and humility. But she does have a lot of pride for the fact she always got the best grades in her entire school back at home. She was always at the top of the school rankings grade-wise, and was often asked for help tutoring. She's a very quick thinker in general, and has really good skills of observation and deduction, while not being too proud to have her mind changed and being flexible enough to change her approach quickly when presented with new information. She's also quite the strategist— Zhuge Liang of 'Romance of the Three Kingdoms' fame is one of her biggest idols— and nowadays she's gotten used to no one really being able to beat her at Shogi.
But she's not always the best at working in groups. She's very aware of her own strengths, limits and capablities, and is very careful, being good at changing up her plan last-minute if it calls for it, and often knowing just what to do to make it so. But when something out of her control goes wrong in her plan- which it basically never does since she's so good at quickly changing course- she's not great at dealing with it. So she often prefers doing all the work on her own, even in group projects, because, while it might sound egotistical, she's aware she's often more competent than the people she's grouped with, and knows she could do it all herself. So therefore, needing to leave it to other people whose competency she doesn't always trust is difficult for her. She at least prefers to instruct them on how to do it.
She's always been a person with a love for humanity and for the earth, a positive person who can see the good in everything. And the people around her have always said that seeing her smile happily is a captivating sight. She's the kind of person who sometimes calls people she cares about out of the blue just because she started thinking of them and wanted to hear their voice and speak to them for a while, even if there's nothing she really wants to say. She loves the people in her life a lot.
In her free-time, she practices Kyūdō, or Japanese Archery. The art requires a lot of patience and discipline, and to her it's a sort of meditation, as well.
She also follows the rules of politeness, manners and hospitality as much as she can, being very polite to others. When it comes to other people's manners, if anyone around her gets into trouble for being rude, she will be of the opinion that their rudeness definitely lead to it, and insist they apologize. And if someone she feels some level of authority or responsibility over— like Grim, for example— she will definitely tell them off for being rude right away. But otherwise she mostly lets people behave however they like, so long as it doesn't pose a problem to anyone else.
At NRC:
For her and Irina, I'll be doing breakdowns of what they did during and in-between the books. Includes spoilers for: Books 1-7
On a night like any other, just one week before her High School graduation, she went to sleep like normal, prepared to wake up and go to school the next day like she always had. Her head was swirling with hopes for the future, and of looking forward to seeing her friends again like usual. And the next day after school, she would pick up her siblings from school, and then go home to celebrate Kouta's 12th birthday, Tomoe having a gift for him in her closet that she was excited to give him.
But when she woke up, she wasn't in her futon. She was laying on top of something that was hard, but a little bit too soft to really be called hard. It was like a carpeted floor, or a very thin chair-cushion. When she came to consciousness, her body felt stiff and her back hurt. All she could see in front of her was darkness. She tried to open her eyes, but saw the same thing, so closed them again. In the distance she thought she could hear the muffled sound of someone talking...
But for a while, none of it really seemed real; she was too tired to realize how different it was from when she'd fallen asleep the night before, and her mind was still fuzzy enough that she thought it was a dream. But a light source was suddenly introduced into her small, dark world. The lid had been removed from the box she was laying in. Now when she blinked open her eyes, her sight was filled with the bright glow of blue flames, and the knowledge that the somewhat hard, somewhat soft surface she'd been laying on was the interior of a coffin, its walls laced with a plush velvet.
And then cue the whole Grim business. But, when she went with the Headmage into the hall of mirrors, there was already a commotion, due to the fact that people were talking about a 'magicless student'. There was a very nervous-looking girl with long pink hair standing in front of the mirror, looking like a cornered animal, having literally frozen up in fear.
When Tomoe also eventually went up to the mirror, and it declared her, too, as magicless, the room broke out into further uproar, and Crowley had to make the Housewardens hurry to get their students to their respective dorms.
Tomoe and the girl, whose name was revealed to be 'Irina', spoke with each other and to the Headmage about their homelands, it was discovered the two of them knew of each other's homes, meaning they had to at least be from the same world, ruling out the possibility of either one of them lying about it, since it was obvious they'd never met each other before.
As for all the Books, she generally does what canon Yuu does, but I'll state anything that deviates or is of particular interest.
Book 1
When Ace came to Ramshackle and she found out why he'd been collared, the first thing she did was tell him that it's very rude to just eat something from a communal fridge without asking first. But in the end, she at least agreed to help him make a new tart and come with him to apologize.
Book 2
As soon as they encountered Ruggie, she immediately knew he'd done something, like magic of some kind, knowing food was the one thing Grim would never concede, and so was immediately suspicious of him. While she didn't decide to link Ruggie to the case they were investigating immediately, she certainly pinned him as a possible suspect right away.
Book 3
For a few weeks, Grim ended up becoming quite sick. He'd eaten something long past the expiry date, then a bad cold took advantage of his weakened state. He was forced to mostly stay in bed, meaning it was up to Tomoe to do all the school work for once. She was absolutely ecstatic.
Her and Grim's grades suddenly shot up dramatically, going from the lower brackets to the top 50, landing comfortably at place #5. Tomoe was extremely happy, feeling a sense of peace overcome her she hadn't realized she'd been missing. It almost felt like torture to her to be in any way linked to such a bad grade.
That she got such a massive spike up in her grades during the exam period caused a lot of raised eyebrows. Ace and Deuce ended up asking her if she'd 'made a deal with Azul too'. She had no idea what they were talking about— until anemones suddenly sprouted from their heads.
When Crowley himself asked her if she'd made a deal with Azul to make her grades so good, she was incredibly offended. She, an honest student who'd gotten straight As through her entire school career and was proud of it, would never cheat! The only teacher who really believed her was her favorite teacher, Professor Trein. He was the teacher who got to see the most of just how engaged she always was in class because she'd be one of the few who constantly raised her hand to ask questions, and payed a lot of attention in his class, even while everyone else had fallen asleep around her. Confirmation from him that he at least knew she'd never cheat— him even telling her that he knew she was smart and could do great if she was only given the chance— calmed her down enough to ensure that her coming battle against Azul wasn't fueled by her desire to clear her name.
Not to say she wasn't still very frustrated by the situation.
And after it was all over....
She went up to them and flicked each of them once on the forehead. "I am very disappointed in all three of you. If it was so easy for you to gain access to a study guide, how would it not occur to any of you that many others must also be able to easily access it?! Not to even mention how obviously shady Azul is! If you wanted help studying, you should have just asked me, Riddle, Cater or Trey for help. Or anyone, really!" She sighed. "Thanks to assistance from Leona, Ruggie and Jack we were able to break you free from your contracts and get your magic back. But next time— and I dearly hope there will not be a next time— something like this happens, there is no guarantee that we would be able to. So I want all three of you to promise me that nothing like this will ever happen again." Her eyes bore holes into each of them. "Are we clear?" — "I said 'are we clear?'" Tomoe is not typically someone who gets upset— in fact, it takes a lot to make her truly angry— but when speaking in this situation, her tone was stern, bordering on threatening. She posed an intimidating figure, standing with her hands on her hips looking at the three of them lined up before her with her eyes and brows narrowed in frustration, as though she was looking down at them despite Ace and Deuce being quite a bit taller than her. As well as the fact she was speaking in a louder voice than normal, almost booming, going quite a bit lower than her usual tone of voice. — "Good." She sighed gently and her face and tone of voice returned to normal. "From now on, every other Sunday between 10 and 12 we will have a study session at Ramshackle dorm."
Tomoe ended up becoming a frequent thorn in Azul's side, advising students not to make contracts with him and that if they believed the deal seemed fair, he would find a way to tip it in his favor. The two hate each other. But they also have some respect for the other as academic rivals, and just how closely matched they were in terms of intelligence as well as hard work, waging some manner of silent war with each other all throughout the rest of their time at school. Lawful Good vs. Lawful Evil
And seeing her, to him surprising, ruthlessness in getting his help, Leona gained quite a bit of respect for her as a person after it was all over. In fact they both ended up realizing that, despite the obvious difference in her being so hands-on and his hands-off approach, they were remarkably similar. In Leona, for the first time, she found someone who could keep up with her natural quick-thinking. She actually felt her heart flutter a little when their first chess match against each other resulted in a draw.
And after the events at Mostro Lounge, she 'somehow' seemed to find her way to where he was more often. Or perhaps it was him who just 'happened' to be in places she'd pass by. Maybe a bit of both. They both began to introduce each other to more and more strategic board games, Tomoe to Yoté and Dara, Leona to Shogi and Go, and kept finding their win-lose ratio begin to plateau as soon as the other figured out the rules. It didn't take long before many students were betting on who would win the next match. They may not have been there for the actual games themselves, but it was usually easy to tell who won, lost, or if it was a draw based on the two's respective moods.
It felt refreshing to for once be allowed to go all out against someone and not have to bother thinking about being polite all the time. She was still very polite toward everyone else, of course, but he was a special exception. The two teased each other quite often, too. It seemed that both of them could dish it out, but neither could really take it, huffing and pouting and becoming defensive when the other did it. He made her incredibly frustrated at times, which was a very new experience for her, as she'd never had an equal she could really get upset at without it being for good reason before. With him she didn't always need to be responsible and mature or relied upon. She kinda liked it. He could get under her skin in a way no one else had ever managed to; challenged her in a way she'd never realized she craved.
And as for his side of things, she had a lot more patience with him than most people did. She treated him just like she would anyone else. She wasn't afraid to call him out on it when he acted out of turn, and stuck by him even when he did, but otherwise didn't mind his grouchy, callous way of acting, sometimes even teasing him for 'acting like a grumpy cat'. Eventually it became commonplace to see her sitting under a tree while Leona used her lap as a pillow, Tomoe turning the pages of a book laid on the grass with one hand and using the other to play with his hair. And, knowing how much it hurt her that no one in Twisted Wonderland knew anything about Earth history and she thus couldn't talk about it with anyone, he let her basically infodump to him about it whenever she wanted— so long as she kept playing with his hair, of course. He always acted like he was asleep, but really, he listened. And she knew he did. And he probably knew that she knew. But they didn't say anything about it. For once, they didn't need to.
And Leona actually ended up making her more open to being a bit less hands-on, learning to delegate and to trust they were competent enough to handle themselves. And she in turn encouraged him to become more involved in the activities of his Dorm where it was needed, such as cracking down on Savannaclaw students' frequent starting of fights.
She can also tend to overwork herself sometimes, so Leona forcefully pulling her away to take a nap was exactly what she needed. And Leona having been the one at fault also gave her some kind of excuse for why she was 'slacking off'. And when Cheka visited, she was more than happy to take over Leona's responsibility of babysitting him; she'd always loved kids and had a very motherly personality, and the little lion's eyes always lit up when he begged her to tell him another story. ...Though Leona did become a little bit jealous of her spending so much time away from him when Cheka visited, so he often ended up joining in on their activities anyway.
Book 4
She knew what was up basically as soon as she heard Jamil refer to her and Grim as having helped other dorms.
Book 5
She was one of the few who actually liked Vil's diet, always having liked vegetables and healthy food. Not to mention it felt nice to have the whole 'food' situation handled. She was happy that Irina, who insisted on cooking for her and Grim a lot got to take a break from it too, even if she noticed irina seemed to be quite anxious about it. Irina seemed quite anxious in general to suddenly have so many new people living at Ramshackle, and Tomoe thought she seemed to really miss the quiet of the Dorm.
And when Vil ended up finding out just how good Tomoe's grades were, but that Ace, Deuce and Grim's grades were still that bad... He lost a little bit of hope in humanity.
Book 6
She went after Grim. The whole incident made her realize just how important Grim had become to her in such a short time; she felt like a mother who'd lost her child. She was worried for the others too, especially Leona, but she knew they could handle themselves. It also made her realize that...she was probably going to end up staying in Twisted Wonderland. If she went back home, she'd most likely be 'that one mysterious disappearance case who turned up again' for the rest of her life. Not to mention that she'd be the only one who knew what had happened in the months she'd been gone; no one else would ever believe her. And she knew that her friends and family had each other. But Grim only really had her. And she wasn't going to just leave him.
And after the events of this Book... She has nothing against him personally, and knows he didn't exactly have much of a choice in what happened, but she can't help but not like Idia especially much. She just associated him with her friends being injured, her Dorm destroyed and what is bacially her son being kidnapped. She's always been very open-minded and believes in forgiveness if the other person has owned up to and endevoured to change their behavior or weren't even entirely at fault in the first place. And she'd even admit that she thinks they could potentially become friends, as she also likes video games a fair bit. But as of right now, the wound is still too fresh.
Book 7
I have not yet read Book 7, though I've been able to surmise basically what the main plot is.
She is asleep. She dreams of some strange, fanfiction-esque alternate reality: a historical Japanese setting based off the media she'd engaged with of the Muromachi period. Everyone she's met from Twisted Wonderland is there, as is her family and friends from back home, and she's the Samurai/Strategist/closest companion/lover of Leona, who's here the second son to the Emperor and breaks away from the Imperial family and starts a war to win personal status. She knew she couldn't persuade him it was a bad idea, so instead she decided to just do everything she could to make sure their war went smoothly.
But she's always been more interested in the lives of historical people in general, whether they be Priests or Warlords or Commoners or Emperors, than she has in the actual bloody side of warfare. So the dream barely actually shows any of the 'war' parts, seeming to be mostly just in a lull period where preparations are still being made, but the war has already broken out. And when it does show combat, there's way more of an emphasis on the strategy.
Tumblr media
And on the topic of me technically having 2 'Yuu's, here is which events Tomoe would go to. If there is a Story Event not on this list, assume Irina went:
Fairy Gala: Operation Steal the Show Wish Upon a Star Camp Vargas Exercise in Survival Twisted Halloween: Spectral Soiree Sam's New Year Sale: 2023 (EN server) Portfest: A Striking Performance Cloudcalling in the Savannah Twisted Tsumderland 1 Playful land Stitch's Tropical Turbulence

OC Questionaire
My questions:
What is one embarassing memory from your childhood that you can't shake?
What would you take with you if you were trapped on a desert island for one week?
What is your favorite animal?
Hm, let's do the Outcasts quartet for this one
.
1. What is one embarassing memory from your childhood that you can't shake?
Izjik: "Oh spirits, there was this one time back when I was a kid, I'd just started my apprenticeship as a hunter for my enclave, and one of our patrols found a drakeling carcass. Now, that's a pretty big deal - a drakeling will feed the enclave for weeks - and this one was really fresh, as it'd just been killed in the spring rut. So, Dzako - my old mentor - decided it'd be a good thing for me to learn to butcher it. ...Let's just say I didn't listen super well to where he told me the acid glands were. I'm lucky I didn't lose my hands, but damn if everyone wasn't mad at me. A whole week of fresh meat, gone in one mislaid swipe of a cocky teen's knife..."
Sepo: "Ugh, just one? I wasn't the most attentive child, so be it romantic or malevolent attention, I usually didn't notice. There was this one boy - I was maybe eleven at the time - who kept leaving notes in my bag. I'd usually toss them out, but the one I happened to read held a place and time to meet. I asked Saius about it, and he said the other boy probably wanted to hang out because he wished to be friends. I thought that was stupid, but Saius pressured me into going. A day later, I went to this random park, and turned out, it was not a friendly invite. Apparently, according to the other boy, I had 'marred his honor' by implying his sister was a prostitute and then repeatedly ignoring his confrontational notes. To be perfectly honest, I don't remember saying that about his sister, but then again, I might’ve not meant anything by it. Growing up in a high-end brothel tends to warp a child's view of things. Anyways, long story short, the other boy beat my ass. I never let Saius live that one down, even when he shaved the other boy's head in the dead of the night for me."
Twenari: "I mean, I'm twelve, so I have some more childhood to go, but I do remember one incident from when I was very little. I was probably around seven, so before I'd started working for my mother. She and I were on the deck of The Promise and I was showing her the magic I'd been learning. I'd just figured out the ice sigil and I was terribly excited. Excited enough that I ended up freezing her shoes to the deck. Imagine it - the most terrifying smuggler to ever stalk the Janazi Sea, swearing up a storm as her seven-year-old giggles because her mom's shoes are stuck. Yeah, I'm really not surprised my training doubled after that."
Djek: "Gods, this must've been... my first year on the street? No, my second, cause I'd had some teeth knocked out by then. I was out hunting rats with my little shiv. Fayuki rats are good eating, I'll have you know. Nice and fat, but as mean as dogs when you have them cornered. I was chasing this really chunky one through the alleyways, and I was super intent. Not only were rats food, but there was this guy I knew who'd buy the pelts off of you for two whole tuec. I chased this thing for almost a quarter mile before it squeezed its fat behind into a building. Of course, I followed it, not realizing that the building it had ran into was a fancy boutique. Yeah, you can imagine. A whole flock of uppity ladies started screaming as I ran out of a storage closet after this massive godsdamned rat. Someone got a hose from somewhere. Don't even know why they had one in the first place, to be honest. They tried to force me out with the cold water, but frankly, that was the first bath I'd had in months, so I didn't mind. It was the dye they threw that was kinda fucked up. I caught the rat in the end, but when I turned in that pelt, it and I were both splashed in a lovely permanent spring green hair dye. The kids on the street called my Greenie for months."
2. What would you take with you if you were trapped on a desert island for one week?
Izjik: "My washava. It's a weapon and a tool, great for hunting and trapping. It's been a trusty companion of mine for many shitty situations."
Sepo: "Only a week? Some books. I can drink seawater and fish for food in my siren form, so if survival is no issue, I'd love a quiet week to catch up on my reading."
Twenari: "A boat. Then I wouldn't be there for a week. Duh."
Djek: "Cucumbers. I think those count as food and water, so I bet I could survive off those for a week."
3. What is your favorite animal?
Izjik: "I like a lot of animals, but probably leopard seals are my favorite. Twenari told me about them and I'd love to see one in real life!"
Sepo: "Landhorse, but just her though. All other horses can get fucked."
Twenari: "This is going to sound stupid, but seagulls. They're so fun to watch fly and play, and if you see one over open ocean, that means land is close by, which is always welcome indeed."
Djek: "Pine martins. You ever seen one of those little bastards? They're just so damn cute!"
.
I'll tag @mk-writes-stuff @tryingtowritestuff24 @sergeantnarwhalwrites @bunnymermaidwrites and anyone else who wants in :)
Your questions are:
1. What is (or would be) your favorite subject in school?
2. Have you ever played a prank on someone?
3. If you could swap bodies with anyone you know for a day, who would it be?

Zelink gets Isekaied into BG3 Pt 2: The Beach and the Temple
Zelda- High Elf Draconic Lineage Sorcerer
To recap: Zelda is the Tav, Link has yet to be seen.
Zelda wakes up on the beach and runs into Shadowheart. The two chat, Zelda trying to learn anything she can about this foreign world without giving too much away.
They deal with the Intellect Devourers with a hail of cantrips. Mostly from Zelda. Shadowheart asks where she learned to use magic so efficiently. Zelda answers vaguely enough for Shadowheart to be suspicious, but not willing to press her on it.
They run into Astarion, but the ladies manage to figure out something's up before he can pull his dagger. The situation resolves amicably and the pair becomes a trio.
They come across the injured Mind Flayer, and its attempt to influence Zelda's mind is an utter failure. It looks up at her in terror before she asks Astarion to put the creature out of its misery. He happily obliges while she sends a silent prayer for its soul.
Zelda uses her stunning magical aptitude to free Gale from the stone portal. After pleasantries are traded and everyone is brought up to speed, Gale and Zelda immediately start chatting away. It's clear they're kindred spirits and Zelda is as eager to learn about magic as Gale is to teach her.
The quartet becomes a quintet when Lae'Zel is freed without harming the Tieflings.
Zelda's royal presence convinces the thieves to retreat, and the party enters the forgotten temple.
After battling bandits and the undead, Withers is woken from his slumber. Zelda answers his question and he says something regarding her holy nature, which garners a few quizzical looks from the party.
They take a short rest and Zelda is forced to give her companions a puzzling explanation; she is indeed holy, but can't be sure who she can trust and asks for their confidence. They accept with varying degrees of empathy.

1, 7, 8, 11, 27 (or any combination thereof!) for Celia/Muro?
Ohh ty!!! had to do some thinking for some of these<3 for this ask game! under the read more bc it got longgg
1) Does your OC have a voice claim, if so who?
Alas accent issues strike again... in my head Muro sounds like a thicker version of my accent with some spanish pronunciation mixed in. i haven't watched much italian let alone nepolitian stuff so i couldn't say a lore accurate one either, but his voice is pretty deep and he has a smokers rasp.
7) Vice-Versa! If your OC is in the modern day, what fantasy class would they be? Would they be a different race?
Well the easy answer is that Celia would be an Aasimmar! in terms of fantasy class, as a direct translation of his stand power he would have to be some sort of heavy hitting but also magic user, possibly a warlock [deal with the devil ect...] with a focus on projectiles and defence... he would be multiclassing 100%, some sort of magic/fighter mix
8) What hobbies does your OC have? What do they do to unwind?
Music and cars! To unwind he loves nothing better than going down to the garage and tinkering away at a vehicle with music blaring, but he will settle for a nice audiobook at home
11) What was your inspiration for your OC?
the straight answer is a very stoic ffxiv dragoon oc, from ishguard aka fantasy england/the vatican, she had to take on the very deadly role of dragoon as it was the only upward mobility she had, and got involved in the underground resistance and criminal groups.
in terms of what other characters inspired him, there are a few main ones:
Alan[na] of Trebond: The lioness quartet made me transgender and ofc any oc based on [word of god genderfluid!!!] Alanna wouldnt stop at 'crossdressing for safety' and would be genderqueer as fuck with a complex relationship with being a man or a woman and really being fed up of the whole binary overall. Also redheads!
Honorary mention to Kel for being much closer to Muros stoic personality [Celia is more like Alanna]
Dio/Giorno: im a sucker for when people draw them with golden hair and i wanted to borrow that for my fancy new jjba oc!
Guts: ...
other than that there's a heaping chunk of my gender issues and lots of community trauma. Overall i just wanted to write a story i didnt read much of, and slowly put more and more of myself and the people i know in it
27) What's their spirit tamagotchi? Or an animal you associate them with?
Abused working dog. unlike some of my other ocs he doesnt really have an animal i associate him with [e.g. Mura: hare or snake] but hes the beaten dog to Conficcares abused cat

Day 9: Light Across the Aether
The ARC-V story tends to be something of a mixed bag at best, but today, we only look for the best things to find within this bag. Show us your favorite story arc, episode, or even a singular moment of greatness!
___________
Day 10: Take Five! ....Or Ten!
First free day! The momentum is slowly ramping up, but to carry on with a good show, one must take a breather every now and then. Take the day off to talk about whatever, make any work you want, or just chillax and wait for what comes next.
___________
Day 11: Legacy For the Future
ARC-V featured five Duelists from all across the previous spin-offs, each bringing an interesting twist to the show, and a curious few differences from their original selves. Today we celebrate those legendary legacy Duelists- them, and whoever else may have been among them in another world.
___________
Day 12: But You Still Take the Damage
Meme day! Get silly, go crazy, be cringe and be free! ARC-V is a circus of odd puns and bad jokes and dumb gags that never get old, so go ahead and toss out all your funny gold!
___________
Day 13: Abyss Beneath a Smile
No one is born evil, and yet some choose to let go of the light in favor of embracing the other side, for reasons one may find to be rather baffling at first glance. Today is all about these oh-so-villainous figures, so show us your favorite antagonist of choice!
___________
Day 14: Halfway to Heartland Tower
Xyz dimension day! Who doesn't love a good city that shines like a literal beacon in the night? Heartland certainly has its charm, and so does its lovable cast. Even in the face of adversity, they continue to inspire hope in every way they can, and that sure is something to celebrate.
___________
Day 15: Salt For the Salt Lord!
Remember the mixed bag, and how we looked for the best of it last time? Well, now's the time to take a look at the less favorable parts of the story. Show us your least favorite arcs, episodes, or a certain pet peeve you had with the show- let the salt flow and flood the whole land!
(We'll mop it up by tomorrow, don't worry ;D)
___________
Day 16: Actually, He Would Say That
Look, we all like our cast with their pros and their cons, but sometimes there's just something... missing, when you look at canon portrayal. Some more depth. Some trivial details and silly nitpicks, to add to their flair... which are exactly what today is all about. Show us your weirdest little headcanons and most random thoughts!
___________
Day 17: A Salad of Heavenly Proportions
Four dimensions, four summoning methods, four heavenly dragons.... and of course, four quarters of a whole idiot. Please give it up to the kiddos, the twinsies, the complete and utter dorks of all time: the Yuu-salad boys!
___________
Day 18: D/D/D - Different Dimension Day
Canon divergence, modern settings, fantasy, sci-fi and series fusions...yes, ladies and gentlemen, today is the day. It's time to throw canon to the wind, because we're making our own stories through the wondrous magic of AUs!
___________
Day 19: My Heart Beats 'Till Overdrive
Synchro dimension day! We are here to visit the city of speed, spectacle and freedom!... or the lack thereof. Progress is a non-linear road, but our daring riders are working their way there, so do give them their due credits today!
___________
Day 20: We Interrupt Your Schedule for A Commercial Break
Free day 2: electric boogaloo! We're well into the swing of things by now, but a short stop is due before we move on to the final stretch! Perhaps you could mention some of your favorite creators in the fandom, or just roll around with anything else you're working on. There's also the option to simply take a day off- we even have some popcorn for those who want to just sit back and watch the show.
___________
Day 21: League of Dueling Seriously
Or LDS for short- no, not the school, the Lance Defense Soldiers. Today we celebrate the single most chaotic group in the whole show- yes, it's the Lancers' time to shine!
___________
Day 22: Prismatic Rare, Prismatic Pair
"Man, these two are such an adorable pair! Lemme just look them up- what do you mean, there's no content for them??"
Sometimes, one must dig pretty deep to find those rare, hidden gems, so show us your own gem of a rarepair today!
___________
Day 23: Back At Class, They Never Taught A Thing
Fusion dimension day! Beyond the shores of Academia lies a trove of possibilities, and the same goes for the walls of the ornate castle as well. Every student and teacher has a story to tell, and together they weave quite the curious tapestry... though what is there to be seen in such a creation is up to you alone.
___________
Day 24: Oh. My. G.O.D
Manga day! Loathe as we all are to remember that last panel, the manga is actually surprisingly good otherwise. It introduces a handful of new faces while reimagining old ones, and has a nice underlying message that makes it well worth celebration overall.
___________
Day 25: Woe, Angst Be Upon Ye
Oh, would you look at that? Today we are gathered here for the express purpose of hurting our poor little meow meows and giving them more trauma on top of their existing issues! How fun!
... alright, fine, they might get a happy ending. No promises on that front, though.
___________
Day 26: Action Magic - Crossover
Oho? What's this? Our cast has been given an entirely new script!! Such curious mixes can create infinite possibilities, each more intriguing than the last. Show us how you're crossing over ARC-V with other media, and let's dive into a whole new world today!
___________
Day 27: Square Zero
Original dimension day! Very little is known about the place where it all began, but this is a blessing in its own right, for it lets us explore what may have been with greater freedom. Pray tell, how do you picture this world to once have been?
___________
Day 28: Hey, Who Hired This One?
Strangely enough, an anonymous figure has shown up to the performance today! Whoever might that be? Well, the answer is yours to decide! Introduce us to your OCs, and let them roam the world alongside the rest of the cast.
___________
Day 29: Into the Games!
While the anime and manga may be over and done with, it so happens that our beloved characters still exist in several games, and are even getting further development and chances for interaction! Let's talk about how YuGiOh video games have been handling ARC-V in the past, present, and future.
___________
Day 30: Curtains Down
Final day everyone, woohoo! It's certainly been a ride, and reaching its end feels more than a bit surreal, but now that we're here... it's high time we do the curtain calls.
Tell us your favorite days/works from this year's ARC-V Month, or as always, do with the day whatever you will. Here's to another great event next year... 'till then, ladies and gentlemen!
___________
Extra Prompts:
1) Time Pendulumgraph
Hey, who fast forwarded the timeline- wait, isn't this four years before the start?? Looks like we're dealing with some weird chronography here, so show us your pre/post-canon ideas today!
___________
2) Guest Appearance
A wild VIP guest has appeared! Take one character from outside the series, and thrust them into the ARC-Verse while hoping for the best. Anyone goes! Literally anyone. Go wild.
___________
3) Doodlebook - Uh Uh Uh!
A sad truth of this world is that we do not hold the power to materialize cards out of thin air when pushed against the wall... however, what we do have is the ability to create the card concepts ourselves! Pop out a few custom cards of your design today!

i have a problem
my dash is getting filled with merlin content and now i have all the thoughts ever, i am slowly going insane-
first of all, i was literally part of superwholock (and merlin!) which meant there was a lot of room for chaos and shenanigans- as a roleplayer, i remember this was so illiterate but i can't handle that and so i'd troll people by replying in solely multi-para responses, but going back to my ideas!
on one hand, i could see about reworking on my older abandoned works - mostly due to hyperfix drops - but honestly, i might genuinely see about bringing them back! let yourself be 'cringe', write what you want and don't let anyone stop you! i never finished my superwholock fanfic because i thought it would be ill-received but if i can publish a fic for secret quartet- i can write that too
but i also had plans for a theoretical continuation of the series, and i genuinely had a smaller arc where it involved once upon a time- and merlin having his own antique shop and just- grrr, it was this whole thing cooking in my brain before i dropped it
except now, i am immensely and horribly fixated on rc9gn and that has to be one of the best (and equally worst-) interests i've ever had, i can't get enough of it which leads to this: merlin x rc9gn crossover. hear me out-
somehow, merlin ends up in norrisville and begins to realize there's a deep magic in the area, and it haunts him to the bone- he still hasn't found arthur which is a story for another day (meaning this idea is a wip-)
because it's merlin, he doesn't know how to let things be and decides to investigate; he inevitably learns about the ninja and is surprised when the energy seems young- that the current ninja is, in fact, a teenager and not an 800-year-old spirit. deciding he can't let this slide, merlin becomes involved in randy's life- wanting to help him but of course certain individuals make this incredibly difficult
so now, you have randy who's being mentored by both the literal embodiment of a book that's centuries old and the most powerful warlock to ever exist- but he fears being too much, can he really do this? though by technical terms, randy has magic; this has been proven, and i honestly thought of pyrokinetic randy- yk, because of his connection with the tengu
things slowly grow tense because this isn't a cartoon- how could it be? the sorcerer is a dangerous foe and eventually, he manages to escape; norrisville is throwing into disarray but randy has his mentors- he is not going to let them win... and happens to discover something about himself he didn't think was possible...
merlin will not see randy die. he will not witness something like that- but he knows randy's different, he isn't like the past ninjas (as i feel merlin would be contacted by the nomicon at some point-) and everyone will remember his feats, but things are never that easy
this is another extremely self indulgent idea but it's mine and i will write it, so if you see this more (and things like the warrior cats crossover for rc9gn) then that's what will happen pfft

Just got done with shower, and thoughts are just swirling in my head—
1. Portgas D. Ace lives au,,, sort of. More of a he hops fandoms post death au, that’s where he meets Illinois while Illinois is adventuring… though the Mera Mera no mi is in fact still in the world of One Piece, Ace’s soul itself has come embedded with being a fire elemental… no longer tied to solely the One Piece world and it’s rules alone, he may as well be an elemental spirit. One who already got a hang on how to appear to be human… how to control fire… thanks to his time the other world. Which would be all good and dandy if he wasn’t Traumatized from literally dying in his brother’s arms/being tormented in Impel Down before that/ all those he cared for attempting to rescue him… Yeah, Illi gots his work cut out for him. But thankfully he’s not looking for a something— someone— to save. He’s not looking at all. But if he happens to find an equally tragic soul, circumstances differing though they may be…. Who’s he to deny the hope that this time, this one stays. Lives. Gives him a reason beyond just what he thinks he should do in life, just as Ace is searching once again for his own, now that he knows what it’s sort of like.
2. Thanks to the Ace magical girl art… been thinking of full Magical Girl au for the egos. Really, my head spins with the few different ways it can go, but I’m leaning towards the classic trope in magical girl au’s of reincarnation/spirits. Have the original ‘magical girls’ be the team of Actor, William, Damien, Celine, the Jims, and the DA… DA more a reference in this story, but integral to the plot. Have the later egos as reincarnations… some split off teams, kind of like how Sailor Moon has the Inner Scouts, Outer Scouts, and Sailor Quartet. Also, of course, they’d have to have a guide of some sort…. Not to mention I’m thinking Memento and Mori would definitely be part of the au. Which means there’s at Least another team out there of Ethan’s egos XD Mostly because I find the idea of Ivyiplier and ….whatever the name is for the yellow Flash I’m blanking on at the moment themed Ethan ego,,, being best friends and neither knowing each other is a ‘magical girl’.

Poppy from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet would turn into a witch in Puella Magi Madoka Magica!
Cause of Witchification: In spite of her strengths in Pokemon battles and skills within the competitive scene, she acts as the heart of the Elite Four; there to help them return back to Earth through thick and thin, and ready to fight on for their sake. She even flat-out states to Rika that she wanted to defeat us as revenge for Rika herself; showcasing her attachment to her fellow members of the quartet, and wanting them to be happy and in full spirits.
Unlike most of the examples on this blog, who would snap over their despair and accumulation of stress over the years, the cause as to why her soul gem would turn dark would be because of her overuse of magic, and, in turn, her soul gem just wouldn't take it anymore.

Equestrian Forms for "A Snake in Horseland"
Since the Arle Arc's nearing its climax I figure I should have these ready. Just focusing in species/Pony Tribe for now, I can figure out cutie marks and shit later.
The Crew (plus Antivirus, Mira and Amy because of course they'd come for this)
Mario and Luigi: Earth Ponies
3 and 4: Unicorns
Meggy: Hippogriff (doesn't have the ability to shift to seapony form)
Bob: Changeling (doesn't quite get the hang of transforming at first)
Boopkins: Dragon (barely looks any different tbh)
Saiko: Unicorn (specifically she has similar proportions to pre-curse Mistmane, including the long curved horn, but more muscular)
Tari: Pegasus
Melony: Alicorn (if you think she wouldn't be one given her abilities you're lying to yourself)
Juliano: Earth Pony
Toad (of course he's here they're trying to save his current house guest): Equestria doesn't know what tf to do with a talking mushroom and leaves him the same
Domain and Forum: Earth Ponies (since they're based on Mario)
Emulator: Unicorn
Antivirus: Changes back to his normal form before anyone can see
Mira: Griffon
Amy: Earth Pony
The Kids Note: not all of them are here because they were kind of on a time crunch for following Ozzy
Lil Coding: You'd think he wouldn't change since there's cat people in FiM (at least if you've seen the movie and comics) but they have specific proportions so there is still a change
Lily: Siren (so, Seapony but she also has a genstone lodged in the base of her neck)
Haltmann Triplets: Earth Ponies (since Elanore is mostly Mario's clone and if it weren't for their hairstyles and outfits Hex and Vee would be Elanore recolors)
Barney: Equestria has even less idea what to do with a robot than a mushroom so there's no change
Fever Quartet Like Sig would leave one of his bug-finding buddies hanging
Amitie: Pegasus
Raffina: Earth Pony
Klug: Unicorn
Sig: Pegasus, but his demon arm manifests as a red bat-like wing
The Anchors (and necessary tagalongs)
Link: Earth Pony
Doc: Domestic rodents already exist in Equestria
Frida: Deer
Timmy: Unicorn
Cosmo and Wanda: Already natural shapeshifters. They initially end up as Breezies but retain all their usual abilities so it's mostly just yet another disguise rather than replacing their usual default forms
Rodney: Earth Pony in base form, Alicorn in Champion form
Mina: Pegasus
Harmony: Her status as Spirit of Heart trumps Equestria's Mirror Magic. No change.
Syndicate Scouting Team
Mr. Crocker: Earth Pony
Vlad/Plasmius: Unicorn/Ghost Unicorn with fake-but-functional bat wings replacing his cape so he looks like a vampiric Alicorn
Vaati: Initially a Breezie Because Picori, quickly changes into a Unicorn
Lokoko: The biggest most ethereal damn deer you ever did see
Admin Gohma: Changeling Queen (has the proportions and more dragon-like eyes of Chrysalis but the bright colors and solid, less zombie-like build of the reformed changelings)
And then I've already said that Ozymandias ends up as a Dragon and Kirin and Garyboy ends up as a Pegasus in my post where I came up with them ending up in Equestria.

Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves
I’ll just cut right to the chase. Dungeons & Dragons: Honor Among Thieves has a real shot at being one of my favorite movies of the year. It almost certainly won’t be an awards contender and no one’s likely expecting this to break box office records. But as a work of pure entertainment? A high bar has been set for the rest of 2023 to try and clear.
There was reason to think otherwise, however. High fantasy films both before and after The Lord of the Rings have largely been underwhelming duds. The genre is difficult to truly nail, but co-directors John Francis Daley and Jonathan Goldstein (along with their co-writer Michael Gilio) have managed to channel everything fun, fanciful and fantastic (in the older sense of the word) about swords and sorcery into a rocket-propelled adventure that satisfies at nearly every turn.
And if you’re completely new to the realm of D&D and have no idea what a displacer beast is, can’t point out where Neverwinter is on a map, or know the difference between magic missile and mage hand, fear not! Honor Among Thieves does a fantastic job of introducing the audience to this world and its inhabitants.
Guiding us through this adventure is Edgin (Chris Pine), a bard and thief who pals around with Holga (Michelle Rodriguez), a barbarian warrior exiled from her people. They’ve broken out of prison and are scheming a way to rescue Edgin’s daughter and get payback on the man who stabbed them in the back during a theft that went horribly wrong. To do it, they’ll need the help of a struggling wizard, Simon (Justice Smith), a shapeshifter, Doric (Sophia Lillis) and paladin Xenk (Rege’-Jean Page). As you can probably guess, what they see as a very straightforward mission at the start becomes something much more dangerous and complicated the deeper into it they get.
The particulars of the plot aren’t terribly interesting and feel like a fairly standard setup at play if it was a Saturday night and you’re sitting at a kitchen table with some friends, rolling a D20 and waiting for your older brother to further unfurl his scenario as Dungeon Master. What makes Honor Among Thieves such a cracking good time at the movies is the playful spirit Daley and Goldstein infuse into the proceedings, the superlative chemistry among the cast and a script that delivers a very precise balance of humor, pathos and swashbuckling adventure.
Part of why this movie had my audience eating out of the palm of its hand was due largely to how funny it is. There’s an abundance of laughs to be had with sarcasm and one-liners to spare, though it blessedly avoids that Joss Whedonesque trap of simply making everyone a snark-machine that fires off identical-sounding quips at the drop of a hat. The members of our heroic quartet each react to the escalating escapade with humor at various moments, but it all feels organic to who they are. These characters are all archetypes (each a literal class you can choose in the tabletop game), but the script never treats them specifically as such. We’re given ample backstory, but never so much as to bog down the proceedings. Each gets their time to shine. Page deftly steals his scenes by being charmingly dense. Smith and Lillis are new to my eyes but keep up with the veterans. And this may be the most fun I’ve seen Rodriguez have since the first Fast & Furious movie.
But even as well-balanced as the party is, it’s safe to say that this is Chris Pine’s show. I’ve been a fan of Pine’s since he pitch-perfectly played a slack-jawed yokel assassin in the schizophrenic action flick Smokin’ Aces. It was clear then that he had a wicked comedic sense and he was unafraid to bury himself in a character. But he was also burdened with leading man looks, which of course only confuses Hollywood producers who seem incapable of letting pretty people do wild and weird things. (See also: Pitt, Brad.) The joy of Honor Among Thieves is that it perfectly splits the difference for Pine. He’s certainly a capable leading man, but his role as Edgin finds the perfect balance between his strengths as a character actor and his leading man charm.
I can’t stress enough, though, just how fun this is. The villains are villainous. The heroes are (mostly) scoundrels with hearts of gold. There are no existential moral conflicts at play. It’s just a good old-fashioned magic-fueled romp with high (but not world-ending) stakes and a healthy dose of heart. And, perhaps most importantly for a high-fantasy flick, it doesn’t skimp on the stuff you want to see. Dragons. Black magic. Danger-filled caves. Mythical beasties of all stripes. A deadly maze. Mimic chests. Gelatinous cubes. It’s all here. A movie of this pedigree demands these elements show up in excess and Honor Among Thieves delivers.
I hope these early screenings are a sign that Paramount Pictures knows how great this movie is and they’re trying to build as much positive word of mouth as possible. I want sequels. As many as I can get. This was a delight from end to end and if nothing else, I’m happy with that.

Thinking about Liko’s Sprigatito, and the fact that it’s a Grass-type starter getting the major spotlight for the first time in ages, as it’s Liko’s starter and the one who will likely evolve all the way to Meowscarada. Which is unique because Ash’s Pikachu is an Electric-type, but historically his other aces, namely Infernape and Greninja, were Fire- and Water-type respectively.
But what I find most interesting is how this ties into the theme of the four magical elements of fantasy: Fire, Water, Earth, and Air, the common elemental quartet in fantasy worlds, especially RPG ones, which Pokemon is innately rooted in. In Pokemon’s case, while the Fire- and Water-types’ respective representation of the Fire and Water elements is obvious, the Grass-type can be seen as the rough equivalent of the Earth element, as Earth magic often embodies dominion over plant life and plants come and derive energy from the earth, which is embodied well in the original Grass-type starter, Venusaur, who possesses the power to manipulate nature, release vines from its back, and other powers over the earth. Air meanwhile can roughly be represented by the Electric-type, as it embodies lightning, which comes from the air, and in many cases when lightning isn’t a separate element in a given fictional world it is tied to Air.
Ash’s Pikachu, being his starter and universal ace, is an Electric-type, and as such can roughly represent Air. In fiction, the Air element in terms of character often represents a carefree, energetic, and free spirit, which is what Ash is at his core. Ash’s Pikachu mirrors Ash himself in this aspect of his character, being playful, energetic, and friendly: everyone’s friend, just like Ash himself. Combat wise, the Air element is often associated with lack of raw strength and power, but what it lacks in this front it makes up for with speed and skillful offensive/defensive maneuvers: as a combatant, Pikachu is a small Pokemon that isn’t powerful in a vacuum, but is a skilled and fast Pokemon capable of using its speed and skill to its advantage.
Ash’s Fire-type starters, most of all Infernape who got a starring role as Ash’s ace in Sinnoh and is now the leader of Ash’s Fire-types at Oak’s lab, but to a lesser extent can be applied to Charizard and Incineroar as well, naturally represent the element of Fire. Fire is often the most common element for a Shonen hero to be associated with, and while Anipoke isn’t strictly a shonen, Ash has always been more or less a stock shonen hero in terms of his personality and goals. But more importantly, Fire is driven by passion. Oftentimes, this can be represented in being hotheaded and brash, which Ash is in many cases, especially when it comes to protecting Pokemon, but is more than anything an embodiment of willpower, determination, and spirit, as Fire is a high energy element innately. Ash is passionate, and determined to achieve his goals, most reflected in Infernape and how said willpower combined with Ash’s kindness to it drove Infernape’s mighty Blaze, which was driven by a sheer passion and determination to win, especially against Paul at the Sinnoh League.
Ash’s Greninja is another one of Ash’s most iconic Pokemon and his ace in Kalos, and as a Water-type, it naturally represents the element of Water. The Water element is a mix of strength and fluidity, and doesn’t have the sheer energy of Fire or Air, but has a distinct gracefulness and refinement to its strength. One who is associated with the element of Water is often represented as calm, profoundly wise, and one who goes with the flow. Greninja represents this best as it is very much graceful and skilled in battle, akin to a ninja, yet powerful with its Water Shuriken, and is more calm compared to Ash’s other Pokemon, yet carries an air of wisdom to it at the same time. Its power is made manifest as Ash and Greninja become one and it unleashes its true form as Ash-Greninja, and they master their power as heroic figures. This can in turn represent Ash as a capable role model to other who can inspire others with his passion and strength: he is one whose passion, experience, and life is one others can learn from both in battle and in terms of life principles.
Horizons is only just getting started, and Liko’s story has just begin, but her partner being Sprigatito, a Grass-type, and one who will likely evolve all the way based on Meowscarada’s popularity, can also be reflective of her character thus far from what we’ve seen, and Meowscarada seems to be setting up to be the first fully evolved Grass starter to receive star treatment in a long time, after Fire and Water-types like Infernape, Greninja, and Incineroar have carried that mantle. As I have said, the Grass-type best aligns with the Earth element of the Elemental Power quartet. In terms of characteristics, Earth is often associated with one who is strong, dependable, and protective of others: in many cases this also further is reinforced by a warm and motherly energy. Liko has a ways to go before her Sprigatito becomes a great Meowscarada, and the two have much development to go through thus far, but we can already see much of the Earth element in Liko’s character and how she has developed thus far: Liko has already stated that she wants to become a strong Trainer so she can protect the people and Pokemon she cares about, which is very much a characteristic of Earth characters. And we have also seen that she is very compassionate and empathetic: she can sense how others are feeling and her world thus far is centered around her relationships with people and Pokemon around her that she meets along the way, aligning with her personal growth of becoming someone who can protect others. Thus, we could see this further along the way as her Sprigatito will very likely evolve and become Meowscarada, and Meowscarada’s characteristics and battle style will likely very much align with these characteristics.
A long ass rant from my crazy neurodivergent brain but just compiled a bunch of interesting thoughts I had about Anipoke as of late here.

Birthday Present for my friend @fanficwolf105. Song of the Sea starring her fankid oc Amanda.
Ironically, Song of the Sea is a better Little Mermaid sequel than the actual Little Mermaid sequel.
I call this piece "Merrows" starring:
Melody from Return to the Sea, in the role of Big Brother Ben.
Amanda, daughter of Ariel and Nani, in the role of Saoirse (pronounced Sheer-Sha) I used fanficwolf's drawing of her for the picture, and since there isn't a drawing of her as a mermaid, I added a mermaid tail.
Ariel from Return to the Sea as Bronagh. Magical sea princess who has to leave her family.
Nani Pelekai from Lilo and Stitch as Connor. Surfing Champ turned lighthouse keeper, trying to keep her ohana safe.
Experiment 489 (Huggo) as Cu the dog. I thought about using Max but decided to go with something more seaworthy.
Kobra Bubbles from Lilo and Stitch in the role of Granny. Mr. Well-Meaning social worker worried about the storms bombarding Hawaii.
Ursala from The Little Mermaid in the role of Macha, with Flotsam and Jetsom as her owls. She’s the reason for all the storms.
King Tritan from The Little Mermaid in the role of Great Seanachai. Lonely Ruler of an abandoned kingdom.
The fish women from Hercules and Xena: Battle for Mount Olympus as the Daone Sidhe. I don't know if they're sirens or sea nymphs. In this story they're sea nymphs.
Grimsby from The Little Mermaid as the Bus Driver.
David from Lilo and Stitch as Ferry Dan.
Nevy Nervine from Ava's Demon as Mac Lir. The tragic daughter of Ursala.
The story is this...
Merrows are a type of mermaid who can turn into humans with the help of magical amulets. Merrow princess Ariel fell in love with and married human Nani. Thanks to either sea magic or alien science, they both conceive babies with each other. Ariel has Melody, and three years later Nani has Amanda. But right after Nani gives birth, Ariel is called away by her father King Tritan, and must leave behind her family and transformation amulet.
Nine years later, mysterious storms and tsunamis batter islands up and down the Pacific. Melody spends her time swimming with beloved Huggo, while Amanda tries to learn more about her heritage. One night, Amanda finds Ariels' transformation amulet, puts it on, and takes her first swim through the sea as a merrow.
But the storms are getting worse, and Kobra Bubbles is in charge of evacuating the islands' children from the coast. To protect her daughters, Nani tearfully makes them leave. But Melody and Amanda sneak away from Bubbles, and while traveling to the coast, they meet a quartet of sea nymphs who sing about King Tritan's battle with sea witch Ursala and how he sent away his people in all directions under the care of his seven daughters. Hearing this, the sisters take a rowboat to sea and search for their grandfather.
At sea, they're attacked by Ursala's eels who take Amanda away. Melody drifts alone with Huggo until Tritan finds them. He explains that a hundred years ago, Ursala had a daughter named Nevy. Nevy went mad with grief after her human lover died so Ursala removed her emotions and turned her into coral. Ursala tried to turn other merrows into coral but was sealed away in an iceberg. Ursala broke out of the iceberg the same day that Amanda was born. To protect his people, King Tritan called back his daughters to lead them to safety. He can't leave his palace, but he can help Melody by giving her an amulet (the locket) so she can be a merrow too.
Melody is guided by Ariels' spirit to Ursalas' lair. Ursala is midway through stealing Amanda's emotions when Melody stops her. Melody and Amanda uncork all the bottled emotions, causing Ursala to have a breakdown. She tearfully admits she forbade Nevy from seeing her lover, and that's why Nevy was in so much pain. She promises not to hurt the other merrows if the sisters bring Nevy back to life.
They swim back to Hawaii, reunite with Nani, and sing a beautiful duet that not only raises Nevy from her coral bed, but also calls back the merrows scattered around the world. Including Ariel.
