I might be completely understanding this wrong, but I just finished watching a fatal frame 1 playthrough and is it just me or is Mafuyu's decision to stay with Kirie at the end kind of selfish in a way? While I feel horrid for Kirie, that poor girl did nothing to deserve what happened to her and to be the one to fulfil the duty of Shrine Maiden, but even if Mafuyu felt bad for her and he happened to look like her dead lover he literally had a sister who did EVERYTHING to come find him??

Look at Miku, the girls as skinny as a twig and scared as hell the entire time she's wandering around Himuro mansion getting attacked and beat up by ghosts just to find her brother! She did the impossible and yet when it was time to leave, after all of that effort and SAVING HIS LIFE, he decided to stay with the ghost of a girl he, what, felt bad for? Who originally had tried to kill him - though, she wasn't exactly herself. I don't know, if I were Miku I'd resent my brother for the rest of my life. Part of me IS glad that Kirie has company for the rest of eternity, keeping the Hell Gate closed to protect the world, but Mafuyu practically threw everything back in Miku's face - "ohhhh this is where I'm meant to be!".

Someone PLEASE talk about the Fatal Frame/Project Zero timeline with me because I'm LOSING IT.

Like, okay, one thing is, Mafuyu Hinasaki was born in 1965 (he's 21 and died in 1986). And we have no age for his mom Miyuki, but let's say she was 18 when she had him. That would mean she was born in 1947. Let's assume the same for her mother, Mikoto, making her born in 1929. All reasonable so far, right?

Except for the fact that MIKOTO'S mother Yae was 15 in 1946!!!!

We know this because official sources say that Seijiro Makabe died in 1946, and he was killed the same year that Yae's sacrifice was meant to take place at which point she was 15.

There's so many other plot points that don't make sense timeline-wise but this one little thing that only takes THE FIRST TWO GAMES into account is driving me insane and makes it so difficult to properly place anything else not explicitly labelled in a timeline.

Somebody make this make sense. Please. I'm BEGGING.

Snapshot - your grandmother’s precious camera feels like an extension of your body; repairing generators for a total of 70/60/50% charges Snapshot, which allows you to take a photo of the killer, knocking them backwards and stunning them in place. Snapshot can only be used once every 60/50/40 seconds, and stuns the killer for 1/2/3 seconds. Snapshot can no longer be charged once all generators are repaired. Taken photos are viewable by all players during the post-game summary.

Inherited Haunting - your family has always had a penchant for the supernatural; you sense the killer’s terror radius from 2/4/6 meters further away than others, in addition to seeing a directional assist icon to let you know which way the killer is moving. This icon flashes only once every 30/15/5 seconds and within 40 meters of the killer.

Extrasensory - Mafuyu, wait! He’s always just out of reach…; when healthy, Extrasensory activates. You see the auras of all survivors within a visual cone extending 32 meters in front of you for 30/60/110 seconds, on a cool down of 45/30/20 seconds.

Mafuyu and Miku keychains came in today and are available in my store. :)

Charms are made of clear acrylic, one-sided, approximately 2", with a matte finish (as shown with all of the little, white speckles on the charm in the photos. The matte finish gives a little bit of a textured feeling).

Next in the keychain lineup is Miku Hinasaki, joining her brother, Mafuyu. Paying more homage to another one of my favorite games, Fatal Frame. Maybe one day we’ll get that Fatal Frame 6.   😁
