Release: DemoDemo PlayStation Volume 17, 1996 April (PCPX-96026)
Download Link
It’s back to a somewhat boring content lineup for this volume of DemoDemo PlayStation, unfortunately. People who follow me elsewhere might think that I might be at least intrigued at the prospects of a pachinko RPG demo by way of PachiPachi Saga: CRFRPG. But, as it turns out, you only have one very brief battle throughout the entire thing and the rest of the time is spent just hitting the Circle Button to advance dialogue for upwards of 10 to 15 minutes. Very riveting stuff to play in a store kiosk context, I’m sure!
At the very least, there are some interesting extras by way of player-submitted enemy art for Controller-kun no Tabi, which I talked about previously in DemoDemo Volume 10, as well as a model viewer for a Macross game, but that’s about it. Check the content listing below for a full breakdown of what you’ll find on this here disc.

December 18, 2028 - Liatris is Born
Liatris was born on December 18, 2028. The oldest of the five girls in the pop band Milky Dolls, Liatris functioned as the group’s leader. A helpful sort, Liatris had an uncanny ability to calm the others in dire situations, and kept a strong “don’t sweat the small stuff” attitude.
In 2047, Liatris, alongside her bandmates Molly, Violeta, Freesia, and Aoi Tsuwabuki, were invited to perform at the Anniversary Celebration of the United Earth Forces. However, the girls were kidnapped by an unknown enemy, who escaped from the solar system using a space battleship equipped with a Fold Drive. A covert ship, the middle-class Passive Attack Sub-Carrier Valhalla III, was dispatched by UN Spacey to rescue the group. The ship tracked the intruder to the planet Elysium, where they found the perpetrators to be none other than the Zentradi.

Funny how in Macross Eternal Love Song, the VF-4 was given a very different battroid mode from the one it had ever since the PS1 game Macross VF-X Digital Mission.
In Flashback 2012, we only see the VF-4 in fighter mode for like 10 seconds and since after theOVE we had that time period where Kawamori didn’t want to do anything Macross ever again (until he came back to do Macross Plus), I wonder if he actually had meant to give the VF-4 a battroid mode similar to the VF-1, or did her lose his origianl notes and designed the battroid mode for VF-X based on how the YF-19 transforms, given that at the time, the YF-19 was pretty much the face of the franchise, and the transformation video guide by Bandai mentions the similitude between the way both aircraft transform.
